7265  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Gamma SatoshiDICE Pass Through on: December 21, 2012, 11:44:52 AM
So, yeah. Quite the night-vs-day difference between GLBSE with 30-40 stocks that all lost money, and that all together traded for a few tens of BTCs over a lifetime and that all together were worth some tens of ks and that all together made some hundreds a month on one hand and MPEx with its close to over 1mn BTC market cap, with its > 100k monthly traded volume and whopping thousands of BTCs to be distributed to investors each and every month. Quite the night-vs-day difference.

Just to nitpick a tad, there were a couple of non-losing assets on GLBSE (like the ones you mentioned, the passthroughs to MPEx). But your overall point is valid, the percentage of losers on GLBSE was high.

MPEX has now 2 stocks that get traded Smiley . Good job ya'll.

"Promoting" your 2 stock wonder, by constantly dissing others, is not how you sell good stuff. This is how you sell crap.
This really good salesman I know, told me that NEVER ever sell your product by talking shit about your competition. Only liars and scumbags do that.
Maybe this is too old-school for you... I do not care.

Look at how btct.co, litecoinglobal.com, bitfunder.com, cryptostocks.com and so on get their clients. Learn something. Evolve, for fuck sake!  Kiss

Cheers!

MPEx market cap over 1mn. Say it out loud a coupla times, then start learning. Like for instance these people quietly are.

I can't actually think of one that did make money, off the top of my head. Which?
I like MPEX but I'm going to be losing money unless I put in 100+ bitcoins - even if I put it in satoshidice due to the fees.
7266  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] BTC-Trading Pass-Through Fund -- Awaiting Approval on: December 21, 2012, 11:40:40 AM
Sounds solid - when it's approved I plan on buying a few shares.
7267  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you use a (virtual) Bitcoin Credit Card? on: December 21, 2012, 09:55:36 AM

7268  Economy / Speculation / Dear rich guy: How you can make risk-free profit with bitcoin. on: December 21, 2012, 03:33:08 AM
1. Buy up $100,000 worth of bitcoin.
2. Announce that you are now investing in bitcoin. Attend interviews and go "yada yada bitcoin the future of currency".
3. Sell it when the price of bitcoin goes up.
4. Huh
5. Profit!
7269  Economy / Economics / Re: The Collapse of The American Dream Explained in Animation on: December 21, 2012, 03:31:44 AM
What misinterpretations or mistakes are presented in this video, if any? Serious question, I don't know all the facts myself.
There is none. The video obviously presents it in a negative way, but the information in it is true.

Try bitlockr! It's prefect for what you want to do - an automated content delivery platform Smiley

I've just sold bitlockr, so wait until the buyer has set it up.
7272  Other / Off-topic / Would you use a (virtual) Bitcoin Credit Card? on: December 21, 2012, 03:20:07 AM
First of all, you will need to verify yourself (mobile phone SMS, drivers license / ID, etc) and then you will be able to get a bitcoin credit card. You will need to pay a fee depending on the credit limit - if you want a credit limit of 10 BTC (for example) you would need to pay 5 BTC up front in fees.

Why would you do that? Well, let's say you get paid in the 1st and 14th, and it takes a few days for you to get bitcoins on mtgox after a bank transfer. You want to buy something on the 8th. Pay it back in 30 days and no interest Smiley

Would anyone be interested? It's not going to be an actual physical credit card, just a wallet where you can spend more than what you actually have.
