A bit strange, but this suggests that your node never received the unconfirmed transaction as part of its mempool, and only learned about the transaction when it was confirmed in a block. Given this, is it perhaps a problem with either your mempool settings or your mempool synchronization?

Try running getmempoolinfo and see if it shows anything abnormal.

Given this, is it perhaps a problem with either your mempool settings or your mempool synchronization? Are you running any non-default mempool settings in your bitcoin.conf file?

I don’t believe so. It does keep stating Not Responding every now and again so maybe it’s non resonsive in the background at times and when it unglitches the transaction is noted. Just seems it’s a little coincidental after the 1st confirmation.

662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Upgraded to 25.0 on: October 19, 2023, 11:50:44 AM
I’ve made two transactions on 25.0 since upgrading (both receiving bitcoin - create new receiving addresses).

Took 10 minutes or so each time for the funds to arrive in Bitcoin Core.

I didn’t see pending balances, just straight to confirmed, very odd, not had that before.

Funds were sent from blockchain.com (old test wallet).

Bitcoin Core is fully synced so it’s not that.

European club football is BACK this weekend, the drag of yet another international break over. It’s time to start pondering what bets to place this week, there are some exciting games in the PL this weekend.

Pick of the bunch:

Liverpool vs Everton - Another 12:30pm Saturday kick off for Klopp’s men, he will not be happy. I will be attending the game with my brother, my 2nd game this season. I’m expecting us to get back to winning ways after being robbed at Spurs and denied a win by a battling Brighton team in the last 2 games. Prediction 2-0 LFC.

Newcastle vs C Palace - sportsbet.io sponsored Newcastle are getting back to the form of last season. No way Hodgson’s men take anything back to London. Prediction 3-0 Toon.

Chelsea vs Arsenal - This game could throw up a surprise, clearly Arsenal are in much better form, on paper a far superior team but this is a London Derby. The home crowd will be fired up, I think Chelsea can get a positive result. Prediction Draw.

Let us know what you’re betting on, how you get on etc over the weekend.

664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Upgraded to 25.0 on: October 19, 2023, 07:04:03 AM
I upgraded my Bitcoin Core wallet from 0.18.0 to 25.0

I am now fully synced but noticed I have 10 outgoing connections to the network. I’ve been running Bitcoin Core for nearly 10 years. I’ve previously only been able to get 8. Is this normal, 8 are Full Relay & 2 are Block Relay.

I don’t run as a Full Node so 0 incoming connections, which I am content with.

I’ve just never seen 10 outgoing connections previously.

665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do your parents know about your gambling habit ? on: October 18, 2023, 08:53:59 PM
As a grown man in my 30’s I don’t really care less what my parents think about my gambling habits. I don’t stake more than I can afford to lose so it’s none of their business.

I understand why some family members could be worried if you have a problem but if it’s just a hobby & you are having fun then it’s none of their business.

Life is tough, we all need a vice or three to get us through it Wink

Sitting down with a beer for England vs Italy.

Expecting a fairly high level but lo scoring game. Have a feeling Italy won’t lose here.

This did not age well, time for bed I think.

Southgate certainly knows how to navigate a comfortable qualification doesn’t he. Shame he always messes up when it really matters.

Special mention to Bellingham, he has got everything. One of the best footballers under 21 that I have ever seen I think.

Will the latecomers be getting penalty points, cryptofrka?

Asking the question because after successive relegations, LFC_Bitcoin needs every advantage he can get.

VVD steps up to slot home a pressure penalty in the 95th minute to win the game for Netherlands 1-0 vs Greece. That victory will probably be the one that means they will qualify for the Euros. They play Ireland and Gibraltar only needing one win to make it mathematically confirmed.

Greece will be devastated, they play France in their one remaining game, it will take a miracle for them now.

Yep, 100% this. I've said it multiple times already - United's problem is not the coach.
Since Fergie left 10 years ago, they have 1 FA cup, Europa League and 1 League cup - it's simply horrible for a team with basically unlimited budget and player reach.

Half of these 10 years they finished outside of the CL places. They were the best under Mourinho, and they laughed him off of there.

Pretty funny that their fans have been twerking for Qatar, wearing the flag in their social media bio for months. Now the dust is settling and the Glazers are staying, only selling 25% to Jim Ratcliffe. It’s pretty hilarious if you ask me.

@Cointelegraph
In a return to classic #BTC  price volatility of the kind seen earlier in the month, the largest cryptocurrency is tackling $28,000 ahead of the first Wall Street open.

THE BITCOIN  HALVING IS ONLY 162 DAYS OUT  Smiley

That’s the last thing we need after such a long bear market, for the price to halve.

Is there any way of lodging a complaint to the Bitcoin CEO?
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: October 16, 2023, 12:16:55 PM
Haaland lost again.
They are out of the possibility of qualifying through the qualification stage.

They only chance he got left is with the Nation league.

Ødegaard also who is a big star but unable to help Norway qualify. Both him and Haaland are great players but they are playing with inferior players in the Norway team. It’s not De Bruyne, Silva, Saka, Martinelli supplying them. It is what it is, Norway are not a great team.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Drake's Curse. on: October 16, 2023, 11:06:21 AM
I’m not even sure if his supposed betslips are genuine. He has a partnership with Stake, that’s obvious. Do we really think he’s making these large bets or are Stake just giving him them to post and paying him to do it.

I run a successful ladies clothing store online, we have had many public figures make instagram posts wearing our line. They didn’t pay for any of the clothing, we paid them to model it. I believe Stake do something similar with Drake. There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s the modern day version of advertising, paid promotions.

Personally, I don’t believe Drake makes these bets with his own money.

Edit - Just spotted this in the earlier replies -

Now, the big question is this.... Is Drake being funded by Stake.com to make these huge bets, because he is an affiliate and a brand ambassador for Stake.com.  Huh

Exactly my thoughts on it, mate.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Logan Paul Vs Dillon Dannis and KSI vs Tommy Fury Today! Oct 14th on: October 15, 2023, 09:59:52 AM
I’m not a fan of these Youtube, social media guys cosplaying as boxers. I think it makes a mockery of the sport that some dedicate their whole lives to.

However it was good to see KSI lose, shame it wasn’t by KO. I’m disappointed Dillon Danis didn’t back up his shit talking game with a better performance. It’s not good for an actual fighter to lose to one of the Paul brothers.

I’m just watching Afghanistan vs England.

England chose to bowl and I’m not sure it was a good idea. Afghanistan currently 114/1 so batting well. England are going to need to do better bowling against the top order.

Last night's two Group B matches also had important meaning for each team. The Netherlands is getting worse under Koeman. Greece performed brilliantly to beat Ireland.

Netherlands are in real trouble, looking at their starting XI I couldn’t believe how low quality it is, in comparison to when I was growing up. Gone are the likes of Bergkamp, Seedorf, Stam, Davids and now they start with Weghourst.
