Interest is rising... volume is saying we are close to 2012 situation... sicne last year price action according to my own analysis has been pretty much bang on... so now we should either bottom out or rise from here  to come back once more... if we go lower we bottom now.
I think you silenced the bears, their cries of "bitcoin hurts baby Jesus" seem to have died out.

bears unlike bulls don't talk too much, but dump very much.

Google trends looks interesting.

looks like a stage of a bubble... that chart is stuck in my head, every chart related to Bitcoin looks like it.
664  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 03, 2014, 12:23:12 PM

... because you have any clue about the "core protocol"?

yes in fact I do...
665  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 03, 2014, 11:48:45 AM

not to worry... bullish trend is coming. because new bitcoin feature will be implementend.

"...that it may become impossible to seize coins from websites in the future. Such a feature could certainly prevent economic catastrophes like Mt. Gox. It also means the current US Marshals bitcoin auction may be the last one of its kind in history...."

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/checklocktimeverify-means-bitcoin-escrow-refunds-fork/

did you say good news ? let the dumps start again  Cheesy .... otherwise this is really huge (especialy escrow and refunds) if they can make it happen.

Edit: after thinking more about it, it seems that they are trying to edit and change the core protocol... at the end Bitcoin wont be any different from Paypal or any other existing electronic payment system, because later they will try to alter the blockchain when it gets really big that the end user cant maintain.

Ripple reminds me of microsoft windows. Shit, but probably something that people will buy as a result of buying something else.

(i.e all computers being automatically shipped with windows whether end user requires or not).

I have always HATED that stamp does ripple.

Stamp owners got more profits from ripple than Bitcoin, I had a little less than a million xrp that I sold and I am thinking about buying back but I am not sure if it is even worth it.

Ripple has surpassed LTC as the second marketcap coin.

http://coinmarketcap.com/

from $40million to $140million market cap in less then 15 hours

they "released" new stash...

How the fuck does this guy expect to separate the blockchain from the currency? Where's the incentive?

I guess he will integrate the dollar instead of BTC, because how would that be stupid  Cheesy
669  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 03, 2014, 09:20:17 AM
you have to watch this video  Cheesy  (click on the image)

despite his tone, it seems that he really done his researches and he really make some good points.

This guy is NOT really making any great points about bitcoin.

He seems to concede that bitcoin the technology (the blockchain) is a great innovation, yet he is merely asserting in an oversimplified and conclusory manner that bitcoin the currency is a sham and/or a pump and dump scheme.  He does NOT really provide any evidence for his conclusions besides his assertion that he has been studying bitcoin for two years -ish.

The main good point about the clip seems to be that it is short, so it ONLY wasted about 10 minutes of my life to watch it.

It seems that your whole fucking life is a waste, so what 10 minutes are compared to that ? nothing.... each time I try to catch up with this thread I just keep seeing your idiotic posts where you attack most of the posters and pretend to be a smart ass... Oh I wont even mention the meaningless great walls of text you write, aren't those a pure waste of your life as well ?

Some protocols are doing fine.  Wink Grin Cheesy

I am facing a problem here, well it is more of dilemma than a problem, to consider Ripple a disruptive technology or not.... with Bitcoin being special because of the decentralized Blockchain technology, ripple doesn't seem  disruptive at anything but rather a "corporate" or "IPO" investment kind of.... so the big questions is: "is it worst investing at all ?"

Edit:one thing I know for sure is that Bitstamp owners made a shitload of money out of it, maybe they made more on Ripple than they made of Bitcoin.
672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 02, 2014, 06:14:25 PM
Good lord, are we ever going to find the fkn bottom of this market?  Or just continue to slide $10/week ad infinum?

Unbelievable this crap.

Why is this so unbelievable?
I dont understand why people are so surprised about that. BTCUSD is down about 70% from its high. It is a bear market.

It's always better to follow unbiased technical chart analysis versus letting your emotions "bitcoin love" guide your investment or trading.

I love bitcoin , too. But I have 0 bitcoins right now.

I have to call you out on this.  You have zero bitcoins?  Yet you love Bitcoin?  Sorry I don't buy it.  Anyone who actually loves bitcoin understands bitcoin.  Anyone who understands bitcoin knows that you can't always trust technical analysis due to unforeseen events. Even if you were a perfect chart analyst I don't buy it.
If there is an unforeseen event he'll have time to buy back in. Risk/reward.

"Time to buy back in" is highly subjective.  With bitcoin's moves, you could lose 20% in only an hour's time.

those days are long gone, where people could make/lose 10-50% in a matter of hours, I think Bitcoin will be a stable and boring investment in the future, we are not there yet, but we will get there without doubts.

I totally agree with your statement, BTW I am curious about something... why most of your posts are written in blue color ?

good question: 1) Because I like blue, 2) Because there are colors offered in this forum, 3) Because it helps me find my posts better :-)

well one thing for sure, my eyes always catch your posts Wink

...

What is really depressing is that if we are 1M BTC users it should be in theory easy to add another 100K new users that each one would invest 1000$.

That is 100M fucking USD - bye bye market makers!

But...

EDIT: Where the fuck is the expo growth in users?
EDIT2: Walls will be eaten soon

when Bitcoin reached $1100 and was all over the news many people around me was really curious about it so I naturally explained everything to them, many asked me when to invest, and I always replied that it doesnt really matter long term, I told almost everyone buy and hold and after a year or so rethink your position.

guess what, my best friend bought almost at the top of the bubble (~$1120) my ex-boss bought this year (I think march or February) around $650.... all of people that I introduced to bitcoin are so much in the red, these people for sure wont recommend Bitcoin to anyone they know... I even regret answering their questions, I feel some kind of guilt because of their loss... now if anyone asks me I respond with I don't know and do your research on your own.

Yeah, you probably gave advice in the same way that you give it in this thread, and you found people who were gullible enough to follow your self-proclamation of wisdom.... stupid fucks did NOT know you well enough in order to know that you do NOT know what the fuck you are talking about half the time, and my only hope for you, which is somewhat slim, is that some day you will learn to be a little bit less arrogant and a little bit less cock-sure when you communicate with other people.  If I were religious, I would pray for you... Fuck, but I am NOT.   Sad   Embarrassed   Cry

WTF is wrong with you, seriously? Did he touch you or your girl inappropriate?

he has a crush on me, I told him that I am not gay and I am a happy married man with kids, but he keep harassing me.... he must be so desperate and lonely, but hey me me dont give a fuck, me me better than him  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I bought in the first bubble at 28 but I dont bitch around like a girlie man.

MAN THE FUCK UP

oh, you've got it all wrong, I didn't lose a penny, in fact I was a lucky bastard, but most of the people I know that came around the end of 2013 and start of this year don't appreciate your retard attitude ... you need fresh blood to make your investment worthwhile, and you don't give a fuck about what will happen to these people, of course you wouldn't care if Bitcoin continues to slide to $100 your average cost is way bellow this, but others do.

the difference between the stock market and Bitcoin is that you want to sell this technology to everyone in the world: "everyone must know what Bitcoin is", "Bitcoin is freedom", "people just don't know it", "you have to buy bitcoin"...  let me tell you something: "bull shit"

I think we can get back to $400 within a 7 day window.   I really don't understand the reasoning behind the downward pressure we have been seeing lately.   Who has run the numbers on the cost to produce 1BTC (through mining lately)?   It has to be close to a loss right now, correct?

maybe people realizing that Bitcoin price was really a bubble ?  beside, the cost of mining a bitcoin is not that important for price discovery, price is mostly based on supply and demand, if miners don't like the current price they have two option: 1) hold and wait for the price to go up again 2)or simply shut down their mining operation (which will be painful in most cases).
