pascal speed is now almost same as opencl sgminer implementation ~1% difference
would be nice if it would be possible to have a full range of freq/voltage control as the afterburner freq/volt graph where you can select and lock desired GPU (not the arbitary adjuster from base clock but fixed frequency) freq/voltage but its kinda hard to do it on rig with 5 cards
I guess its kinda impossible to find documentation to access freq/voltage curve and set fixed value as Nvidia wants to make use stupid boost which is not best for mining as its hard to lower voltage while the frequency jump up/down
It is not possible to set fixed freq, boost is handled by NVIDIA driver/hardware. You can only set delta freq (+/-). Currently, we have fixed this range, but in future versions we will read what each card supports. For now, majority of cards should work OK. Forgot to mention; for pascal/sha256t, play with params to get better speed. Defaults may not be the best for your card. I know but the how afterburner can edit freq/vol curve and set/force specific frequency (when its set and locked with key "L" frequency stay all the time same, also voltage is locked at desired level you set it) I know this future is not documented in any NV docs, but afterburner author got it from NV prolly, as he is kinda "their" man that do all OC tools we see

sha256t is OK, only pascal have room for speedup, opencl miner is ~10% faster on NV but it use CPU a lot (opencl usual NV problem)
Which one? Numbers? Card? GTX1070 pascal sgminer give 1050Mhs (-I 24 -w 1024), excaviator (-ca -ca) same settings ~960Mhs only problem with sgminer on celeron it can not run more the 2x 1070 due high CPU usage

Patched Gainwards (palit) bliss (micron) can do 100% stable at +700 afterburner (P2 state 2250Mhz)... and +800 on ETH (2300Mhz) samsung 2350-2400mhz on ETH, MSI patched micron can not (max 2175mhz), it depend on card brand, maybe some card have more memory voltage

Gainward Phoenix is same card as Palit gamerock/stream..
if you see one get it over those

sp_ is doing 500sol/s on his private miner for sale on GTX 1070! hashing now, ewbf you lost Damn, how hard are you pushing it? With heavy undervolt with 55% TDP 482sol/s per 1070 OC can give you ~530sol TNX you SP_

For mining cards: masive cooler! VRM cooler to cool it down under 75C at all times memory cooler!!!!!!!
So far about AMD RX crap, I only know that Nitro + have main cooler on both memory and VRM, MSI is crap and most other also, there are many cases of blow VRM!
you can not put small plate over VRM and call it a cooler for sure not for mining!

You set in bios if you wana have intel GPU disabled or not, for NV mining rigs I always use intel GPU for display, and NV are mining gpu, mining is more stable as none NV GPU is used for windows display so even some NV driver crash (due OC) does not restart the pc/rig
|
|
|
Unstable and slow performance when you are using RDP.
Don't use RDP to remote to a mining rig like NEVER, RDP protocol will disable any 3D acceleration and turn back your main graphic card to a VGA card. Always use graphic-friendly remote control, like VNC or teamviewer. No problem if you primary GPU is intel... even better for mining NV cards will not crash so easy if they are not connected to display

0% speed up on 10xx
looks like claymore only worked on API+temperature support
shame no competition no dev care for speed optimization

Don`t forget AWS could and prolly is rapping still 80% of zcoin network!
There are many way to obtain AWS, etc, botnets, etc not all are legal, but its the world we live in
one AWS instance can do +2Mhs so do your math, and not all pay for it (legal or not)!
can the ccminer be optimized more for sure, can it be 5x hell no, so there is no chance anyone has 10Mh+ GTC1070 miner AMD is slow at lyra2_xxx always was, can it push 100% more, sure it can, but can it push 1000% more hell no and AMD freaks you have bunch of coins with lyra_xxx and you should know AMD is bad for it!!
