Works now! Thanks Cheesy

I saw the new motion for spending 25% of revenues on advertising. What is the revenue? What are the expenses, etc? I think it would be a good idea to do monthly statements at the very least.
6667  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the alt coins aren't reacting to the btc price increase? on: February 12, 2013, 11:43:31 PM
People are still in ASIC denial.  The Avalon fiasco only made it worse.

LTC spiked when BTC block rewards halved.

It will spike again when BTC and LTC difficulty go through the roof and on to the moon.

Long term, LTC will be more viable for small transactions as the BTC processing fees increase.
No it wouldn't, the fee policy will be reduced to about half a cent every time it gets out of line.
6668  Economy / Speculation / Re: The international economy is about to crash. Bitcoin WILL explode upwards. on: February 12, 2013, 11:10:09 PM
sublime17, are you here to spread FUD or do you genuinely believe that the dollar will deflate? The Fed will not let that happen in any circumstance, they'd hyperinflate if they had to.

The Federal reserve can easily inject trillions into the economy at the first sign of widespread deflation. Banks were forced to take the bailout durning the GFC, btw.

Errors in firefox for the calculator:

Error: ReferenceError: order_calculate is not defined

Do you have javascript turned off?  order_calculate() is defined in a js file loaded via enhance.  It's all super simple, even works in IE 8.  Wink  (but looks horrible!)

I wonder too if maybe you have an antivirus proxy or something that doesn't want to load it?  Seems like a stretch, but it's possible I guess.

Cheers.

Could be adblock? Not on that machine at the moment through
6670  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC prise isnt rising! USD is loosing value, thats all! on: February 12, 2013, 12:02:16 PM
I never put a time line on it. No bitcoin is the most popular right now. I am not interested in your bet and dont agree with your statement. The difference between gold and bitcoin is that gold is actually usable in the real world also there is a finite about of gold. That is not true of bitcoin. Bitcoins being hot potatoes makes perfect sense. I am not holding btc right now because the price is to crazy. I sell btc to the general public and cant do it because the price changes to often by too much, plus it is way over valued right now.

> I am not interested in your bet

Okay, I guess you don't want to put your money where your mouth is.

> The difference between gold and bitcoin is that gold is actually usable in the real world

Take a look at the gold ETFs. They're certainly not useable in the "real world", but look at the market cap.

> There is a finite amount of gold

There is a finite amount of real bitcoin.

> That is not true of bitcoin

Define.

> Bitcoins being hot potatoes makes perfect sense

I guess you're never going to invest in anything unless it has being around for 10 years? Don't look into the potential of Apple, instead base off your speculation off the age of the asset!  Grin

> I am not holding btc right now because the price is to crazy

Sure, that's obviously true although if you did held it you'd have made a lot of profit.

> plus it is way over valued right now.

Subjective opinion disguised as fact / statement.

6672  Economy / Speculation / Re: will we hit $25 this week? on: February 12, 2013, 11:25:45 AM
Indeed. We'd probably hit $30 actually.

6675  Economy / Speculation / Re: Explanation for BTC price surge? on: February 12, 2013, 09:56:05 AM
#5 is ridiculous. You don't exactly kill bitcoin by buying up a large amount of bitcoin.. that just increases the value of everyone else's.
6676  Economy / Lending / Re: So how much money would you loan to ME on: February 12, 2013, 09:53:03 AM

6677  Economy / Securities / Re: Silver/BTC Price Alert -- Why every investor needs TU.SILVER now! on: February 12, 2013, 09:23:53 AM
Really? If you feel like bitcoin is going to drop in value, short BTC..

Or long it - with 5 leverage, I made 20% in about an hour.
6678  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is the damn correction??? on: February 12, 2013, 09:18:40 AM
I believe there won't be one for at least a few days.
6679  Economy / Economics / Re: "5 Reasons Not to Buy Gold" - study by the Natl. Bureau of Econ. Research on: February 11, 2013, 11:56:54 AM
Gold is a safety net for the absolutely worst financial situations you could imagine. You might be able to use bitcoin in such a situation but good luck selling stocks during a real economic crisis or personal crisis.

I'm assuming you mean a worse situation than this?
Quote
Take what happened in Brazil between 1980 and 2000, for example, when — according to the International Monetary Fund — inflation averaged 250% per year. Over this two-decade period, according to the researchers' calculations, gold's price in inflation-adjusted terms dropped 70%.

I don't really believe a total collapse is possible. The reason is the world is just waaaay to damn big. If the USA, Canada, Europe, and China collapsed, we still have India, Africa, and all of South America who will gradly buy up their now much cheaper products.
But, even if there was a catastrophic world-wide collapse, would anyone even be interested in gold? And would bitcoin fare any better?

If the United States of America economy collapsed then the world economy would collapse.
