681  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: any reivew about escrow service bitify.com on: August 17, 2023, 11:45:24 AM
I rarely use any escrow for my transaction here and I haven't used bitify.com so I couldn't help about that. But if you need an alternative, there are some trusted escrow service by some user in this forum. Other than those both, there is https://zen.land/ this is their ANN https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5445258, I only used them like a couple of time, but I can say that the process and the service is pretty much seamless.

This is my full review of the of the service, there are also some other review by other users

682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's 2140. All the Bitcoin is now mined, only mining transactions make $ on: August 17, 2023, 11:28:02 AM
I am sorry I might be hated to say this lol, especially in a bitcoin forum, but I don't think by 2140 bitcoin is still exist. It will be remembered definitely as one of the biggest financial technology in the history, but by that year, people should see a much larger scale of blockchain and cryptocurrency. Let's just see how a storage technology has evolved on the last decade, 1TB wasn't even on the consumer market, now 1TB is fit into our pocket on a smartphone. the the hard-disk as we knew before is now obsolete we have solid state now.
683  Economy / Economics / Re: China Setting up mBridge against US Swift Ban on: August 17, 2023, 11:14:50 AM
I have nothing against swift US or EU, but I think this mBridge is a good thing for other country. Not to say that china dominating economy will be better than US but at least now we will have option, the US won't be a single super power. The worst thing could happened is that China might be finally won't be afraid to poke on Taiwan, if they succeeded in expanding this mBridge and lead the economy with Yuan, which if that actually happened I will very much regretting saying that mBridge is a good thing.
684  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As an undergraduate, is it advisable to invest my trustfund in Bitcoin? on: August 16, 2023, 03:21:17 PM
Since you are young and educated, you should be able to learn how Bitcoin and crypto works, if so then Bitcoin and crypto should be a good option, but you should do your own research. And even if you finally decide to put some money on crypto and bitcoin, don't put all your money on those two only, split it to other investment also. Spare some money to learn new skill and build a business that you like, those also are good investment.
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would We Pay Taxes When We Don't Exchange Bitcoin for Fiat Anymore? on: August 16, 2023, 03:16:14 PM
Government will find a way to tax us, Bitcoin might be centralized but it's not totally private, on the opposite the transaction is very publicly transparent, the government could monitor the transaction. The government wouldn't be able to manipulate bitcoin transaction and price, but if the bitcoin is legalized, they probably find a way to control which wallet that people could legally use, they can sue people for using illegal wallet that is not registered as an ownership. But then again people can use VPN and covering their track of transaction, but that could be criminal in the future.

I mean after all we talk about possibility here, only very few things seems impossible nowadays.
686  Economy / Economics / Re: What if the Satoshi (Sats), became the foundation of our economy? on: August 16, 2023, 03:06:43 PM
I think sats become main currency will happen only if we are not using USD or any other currency to value bitcoin, the value of 1 Bitcoin is just 1 Bitcoin, meaning that the majority of people using Bitcoin as the main currency. Only then we can also use sat as form of money. As long as people still use USD value to determine the Bitcoin value, using sat as form of money is impossible
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next Bitcoin Bull Run: Is It Tied to the Next Halving? on: August 16, 2023, 08:05:35 AM
Not always and instantly but Coin Halving definitely reducing bitcoin supply, using the basic economy when supply is decreasing but the demand is still and even increasing the price should be raising. All that being said with the current market, politic and economic condition in the world, I doubt the bitcoin halving will lead to a new ATH, I still think bitcoin will finally make a bull run, but new ATH is quite difficult to achieve.
688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is centralized, will other cryptocurrencys survive ?. on: August 16, 2023, 07:45:02 AM
If bitcoin were become centralized but the technology are still using blockchain, I think there will be another crypto that is decentralized, bitcoin will definitely not as popular as now, but other crypto will still survive. Maybe there will be other cryptos that are decentralized, and other crypto will be centralized, even those centralized crypto will survive, as we can see now there are a lot of centralized crypto like ETH and SOL that is quite popular.
689  Economy / Economics / Re: Why are stable coins free from SEC ? on: August 16, 2023, 07:29:43 AM
If what you mean by 'free from SEC' was that stable coin is never considered as a security then it is because stable coin is backed by USD it can't be considered as a security because the price is always 1:1 to USD. Therefore it can't be used as an investment by US citizen and can't give them any profit. Security is something that you can speculate and look for profit.
690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should we see bitcoin as? on: August 15, 2023, 01:27:11 PM
At the initial launch Bitcoin was never intended for an investment, it should be used as a currency to replace the current fiat in the monetary system. I don't disagree when people see bitcoin as an investment but the time when Bitcoin is an investment will finally over when the original purpose of Bitcoin is fulfilled and people use it as a currency.
691  Economy / Economics / Re: How to developed your capital on: August 15, 2023, 12:37:11 PM
Your post only talks about investment you make it seems like the best thing to develop capital is investment, and financial market. I think there are other thing too, even better than financial investment. Learn new skill, skills that will be relevant for the new economy and solve real problems, people can earn much money with skills more than investment if they good enough. And people also can build a business around those skill with the fundamentals.

693  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alleged Phishing Attempt on: August 13, 2023, 02:13:42 PM
I got this once a while ago, for me its not only coinbase, they send me some other phishing related to other website as well, they also tried to log in to some of my exchange account and other account like steam, instagram, and other stuff. Fortunately it's not my main email and I used it not for my main account, and I use it recklessly so I didn't worry most of the account they try to hack is worthless. I think what they do is they got your your email from some leaked database, and then they were using some program to try registering your email into some of the popular site, that's how they find that your email are registered on coinbase, then they will send the phishing email, and in my case they try to hack into the accounts as well.
694  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we improve our country's economy by on culture or ecosystem? on: August 13, 2023, 01:52:55 PM
I live in one of the Asian country and I am very much agree and I can relate this with my experience, my parents weren't so educated and they are too busy working to teach me anything about money, I wish the school could teach me about money management, and I think there are many people facing similar issue. After I get my first job, working and earning money was easier for me than managing money, the only thing I know was saving money to my account, nothing about how much can I spend for entertainment, for food , etc. I only learn about those thing and other financial thing from the internet.
695  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FAKE ONLINE GURU @hustlemantherapper on: August 13, 2023, 01:31:56 PM
he's verified and I've seen that on Bitcointalk.org he's already been talked about as a scammer

This is the first time I heard the name hustlemantherapper in this forum, if you are saying that someone has accuse him as a scammer in this forum you should really share the link of that post in here.

Some reply also said you edited the post and first time you write that the scammer ig account was Eloy Rivera, which is similar as your bitcointalk username, I will give benefit of the doubt and assume that you mistakenly copy your own ig account profile url. But if you can't give a proper explanation how you should edit your post and proof the claim that hustlemantherapper has been accused before in this forum, then you could be the one who are scammer.
696  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which app would you recommend for crypto news? on: August 13, 2023, 12:01:56 PM
I don't use any app to search news about crypto, I mostly use my laptop. I have been relying CoinDesk for few years and I think it will still be my main source for long, I don't know why, I think it's just because they are one of the first internet news site about crypto. I also use CoinMarketCal to keep up with crypto event. Other thing is that I also find some news on twitter.
697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi revealed his identity... on: August 13, 2023, 11:45:04 AM
I don't think there is any law that can be use to put Satoshi in jail, and there is no motive to for the US Government to throw satoshi in jail. Bitcoin is decentralized, Satoshi has no control over it. What more likely to happened is that he will be hunted by cartel or mafia so they can take his supposedly 1M Bitcoin.
698  Economy / Economics / Re: Can stablecoins be able to prevent de-dollarization? on: August 13, 2023, 11:33:50 AM
PayPal USD is designed to contribute to the opportunity stablecoins offer for payments and is 100% backed by U.S. dollar deposits, short-term U.S Treasuries and similar cash equivalents. PayPal USD is redeemable 1:1 for U.S. dollars and is issued by Paxos Trust Company.

According to their article, their stable coin is 100% backed by U.S. dollar, so how can PayPal stable coin is preventing de-dollarization? if the stable coin really backed by U.S. dollar, it's actually still supporting USD but in different form.

I think almost all stable coin is using US dollar, treasury, etc as underlying value, only few stable coin is using other fiat due to low interest.

Yes, PayPal is supporting USD and I think that's what OP mean by Preventing de-dollarization so USD will still be dominating, or I am wrong about the meaning of preventing de-dollarization.

It's true that PayPal will support USD, but that is assuming if PayPal stable coin project is succeed, and also we already have USDT and many other stable coin, but de-dollarization is still happening.
699  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did Bitcoin Bring a Smile to Your Face? How Did You Make It Happen? on: August 12, 2023, 01:55:52 PM
how Bitcoin has transformed lives, inspiring some individuals to even quit their jobs.

I don't get why a person has to quit their job because of Bitcoin, it's not like Bitcoin needs all of your time and effort, all you need to do is just buy and hold it. Check the market and get some news like once a week, or even once a month, people should still be able to do their regular job while investing and learning about Bitcoin.
When bitcoin has given you all you wanted in life and the income from investment and trading is much more better than that of the job, wouldn't you leave the job that alienated you work force in the industry or company? If bitcoin pays well, you have to let go your job and become self-employed to employ others.

Looking at how the market condition right now and a year back, I think it's impossible to meet end meets just by investing or trading on Bitcoin. I know that some people just hate their job, but for me I don't just do my job because of the money, well obviously I do it for the money but not just that, I also like doing my job. At least for now I can surely said that even if Bitcoin can fund my life, I would still keep my job,
700  Other / Archival / Re: [A Bit of History] The most generous airdrop in the crypto history on: August 12, 2023, 01:43:23 PM
I wonder how long did the person who received those airdrop hold the Bitcoin. And definitely how much did they earned after they sell those Bitcoins, assuming they already sold it. I really wish they hold it until it was worth $1M, they definitely wouldn't expect that. I really hope I know Bitcoin sooner, not like in 2009 or something since I lived in 3rd world country, but at least way before it went mainstream in my country. I only know it after everyone build their mining Rig.
