681  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: December 30, 2019, 11:34:04 AM
This guys hates the world, every single thing you buy in the market you pay your tax, how can we evade it? Even if you grow own foods with no seed won't be possible either unless you beg for your seeds and the soil where you are planning to plant.
Not all people get married because they are horny. I am married because it is the life I wanted and there are things I need to follow(base on my Religion). Well you don't get married and died alone, I think nobody will care and they will let your body rot inside your apartment, I think since you are a hater you also hates your kin. Hope your parents are alive because most of the time they are the best gift in all of our lives. If you are planning on living your old aged at Day Care centers for Old folks, you pay and it includes your taxes. Where the hell would we go man? I have so many things to say but let's just end it here and live a lovely life dude, seriously, poor or rich just accept it.

684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Recap for the year 2019 on: December 28, 2019, 01:22:58 PM
I'm not asking recap on what's happens in the Cryptocurrency industry, but on how 2019 made an impact in your lifestyle, motivation and financial status, is it positive or negative, are you full of hope or losing it, what is your assessment this coming 2020.

Full of regrets, if only had given hope when I still had the chance to do so I would lived my daily life with no worries of thinking how could my assets that I had with me be back in what it is used to be. Now waiting for them to rise a little and cash them out, but these days  I have so much trouble in life that I still manage to cling to what I believe and that is that this alts and crypto currencies I have will give me something unimaginable so it really is hard and that gives me troubles each day.
685  Economy / Economics / Re: Europe is against Libra. Who else? on: December 27, 2019, 09:44:52 PM
Yesterday I've read an article about European countries opinion on Facebook's Libra. There are a lot of negative statements about it. (Not without Trump's tweets, of course).
What's interesting - there were no official responce from Libra yet. But they still planning to launch it in 2020.

Facebook did respond at the end of July. In their quarterly investor reports, they admitted Libra may never launch at all:
Quote
Facebook says significant regulatory scrutiny has made the project's fate uncertain. The tech giant admits the significant uncertainty around Libra means there can be no genuine assurance that the project "will be made available in a timely manner, or at all," per CNBC.

My question is - will launching Libra change the statement 'cryptocurrency is not money' in better way or it'll make worse?

It's a tossup. It'll expose the masses to "cryptocurrency" and make the idea more accessible. However, Libra is highly controlled. Transactions can be reversed, accounts frozen. It'll give people the wrong idea about what (decentralized) cryptocurrency is.

But one wrong move by the Libra team will be remembered for a lifetime by the users, aside from that it is also risky for the scoial app which is facebook, they will meet the same fate when there are somethings isn't right anymore. So far if things go smooth then
I guess it could give a fresh start for the massive dump of crypto and gain the trust of the people again.
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many big powers agains crypto on: December 26, 2019, 12:42:31 PM
There has been immense pressure on YouTube to restrict and censor content. The issue is much bigger than just cryptocurrency. Multiple lawsuits have already been filed against YouTube for their moderation policies:

Quote
Strange times make for strange bedfellows. So it is in 2019 when conservative nonprofit Prager University finds itself allied with a group of left-leaning LGBTQ+ YouTubers. The common denominator? Both groups are suing YouTube for discriminating against their videos.

However, it's not actually clear that YouTube is cracking down on crypto-related broadcasters. This may be a coordinated mass-flagging attack:

Quote
While many are pointing to centrally organized, mass Youtube censorship of crypto, some are wondering if a more personal conflict might be involved. Screenshots from an alleged Telegram conversation posted by Chico Crypto show a user identified as @IamSamSmith stating “This is only the beginning of your demise Chico. You started a war which you will not win. I Sam Smith vow to bring upon you the same pain which you did to me. We will keep flagging.”

The user’s self-description reads: “Fighting back against rasist scammars in crypto.” When news.Bitcoin.com reached out to the user via Telegram, he claimed “I got chicocrypto banned absolutely.” When asked about the other channels he claimed he was involved in the removal of their content as well, saying: “Many of them are anti Indians and they spew hate speech.”

On his Telegram channel, Sam Smith Truth, the user states:
Quote
Youtube is finally taking a stand against the ‘white population’ of crypto by removing videos, and giving strikes. Diversity is a beautiful thing and crypto should welcome all backgrounds.

Then I guessed some us promoters of altcoins out here are in big trouble. I never have imagined they would go beyond what I expected. Now even YouTube is in danger if they don't do proper actions. Well what do intent to do? Delete all the users or just blocked them if they are proven to be advertising crypto currencies?
687  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin might be over but blockchain will live on: December 25, 2019, 11:24:01 AM
Bitcoin keeps going down and forecasts of a rebound don't fulfill anymore
Cryptocurrencies should be moving beyond from being just value storage. Real functionality is needed.

Blockchain technology is well positioned to be the next level of money evolution
But governments are starting to implement it because they know it can save their ailing printed money

When I first proposed to use cryptocurrencies as support for a financial system based on energy instead of money or gold, some members asked me how it would be instrumented. Thanks to them all.

Here it is. The basis of a plan for a financial system based on blockchain technology and energy, mainly solar, that can show the way it may be operative and workable.

I'd really appreciate a review. Thanks in advance

Sad to say this is what is happening, it is because people are greedy and they brought they capitalist minds down to crypto and infecting it, I hope Bitcoin still manage to overcome this struggle as I am still hoping that day would come. If not then lets move on to what is the next big coin who will succeed or maybe not.
688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deloitte warns Bitcoin over Google's Quantum computing risk on: December 24, 2019, 10:31:23 PM
Since Google asserted quantum amazingness in the not so distant future, the effect of quantum computers on bitcoins and the blockchain network has much estimated. Deloitte in it’s most recent reports Quantum PCs can break the numerical trouble basic cryptography and would thus be able to put the bitcoin tasks under hazard. Let us investigate how this works out.

Asymmetric cryptography creates an open private key pair with a numerical relationship. The mystery private key used to make an advanced mark that can be confirmed utilizing the general public key and verified through the scientific guideline called “one-way function.”

Source: TheCoinRepublic

Quantum computers? This news is not new anymore and don't shake my faith about Bitcoin and blockchain, it is just a way to pull down Bitcoin prices and nothing more. Now you sell or they sell, I bet the folks who are making such FUDS are enjoying more Bitcoin to buy at low prices.
689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are underutilizing Bitcoin on: December 23, 2019, 04:07:34 PM
Full article: https://www.forrestvisions.com/blog/people-are-underutilizing-bitcoin

People need to start accepting Bitcoin and keeping it, not converting it.

If you think of Bitcoin as just a virtual placeholder for fiat currency, stable coins will be the future and Bitcoin will slowly fade away.

Thoughts?

Accepting it and using is the best way to keep the market alive and running and not just being kept or locked away. That whats it's made for, to use it for faster payments, if you read the Bitcoin white paper you would definitely understand. If all people who holds the total amount of mined BTC were just to be kept, then it would not circulate and liquidize in the whole world. It is good this way.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who holds the most bitcoins? on: December 23, 2019, 01:08:17 PM
Do you agree with this assessment from the article or do you have more credible and accurate information?
The answer is coming from a guy who said "My Top List" so maybe it's his personal list quite not be accurate? You can easily find out which addresses hold the most bitcoin than their actual identity. I personally found this very disappointing,

Quote
It has been estimated by some that up to 40 percent of all possible bitcoins are lost.. lost keys, accidentally erased hard drives.
So the current market just runs on 60% of the bitcoins? Not sure if that information is accurate as well.

That is also what I am thinking, since it is hard to know who's bitcoin wallet is whose we can't really say that it is a fact. Unless someone proves it on their own, sending proofs and showing themselves unto the public, but I guess that is dangerous to them in security.
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has this year Christmas favor your cryptocurrency portfolios? on: December 22, 2019, 05:44:12 PM
I couldn't hold it back any longer; as I have sold off my major portfolio because of Christmas celebration. This hold started from last year July, 2018 and now, couldn't hold them again as I have sell off my assets because of the pressure from the family members. After the sale of this asset this evening, I was perplexed as how much I just dumped, all in the name of Christmas.

What are your experience: positive or negative.

I don't have any good experience at all aside from my mini business, because the homecomings of schools are happening many shirt was printed and it was  a good opportunity to boost my business profits for a while, and none of them are crypto related, all from hard work and marketing stuffs. So I let these days pass and wait for some bigger events, maybe upcoming halving will the job and planning to cash out and quit crypto for good, how does that sounds like to you?
692  Economy / Economics / Re: One faithful day that change my life. :) on: December 22, 2019, 03:19:07 PM
I forgot the name of the website but they will probably give you a lot of tips for putting this as a story of yours in your profile.
Yeah, somehow there are still people who just love a good story. Bad or good. Whatever it is.
Is it steem or steam? Something like that.
Edit: Yes, it is steem. https://steem.com/

But here? I don't think there is really a room for drama. People here are warriors.

So true, we are so warrior like people here, we lose big time and still manage to come back. This is just the place where your guts are fully tested, how would you go far in terms of sacrificing. The feelings out here are composed of different experiences and it can't just be easily destroyed by a mere drama.
693  Economy / Economics / Re: What if crypto vanishes? on: December 22, 2019, 08:21:05 AM
There will be surely problems for companies who uses blockchain tech, and it would really affect the the world economically as there are people who are already utilizing the tech. Maybe worst case is there could be a massive disruption on the security in some countries due to people panicking about their lost money in an instant without knowing why, so there's no need to worry because there should be a big reason for that to happen and I can' think of anything yet possible as of the moment.
694  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plan if no significant move on Bitcoin price along with the halving? on: December 21, 2019, 10:20:54 PM
- First halving, on November 2012 : Bitcoin increased from $11 to $1,100 in 2013 (one year later)
- Second halving, on July 2016 : Bitcoin increased from $600 to $20,000 in 2017 (one year later)
- Third halving, on May 2020 : Bitcoin increased from $6,000-$8,000 to $??? in 2021 (one year later)

We all know based on the historical data, Bitcoin should increase more than $20,000 in 2021. The first and second halving have proven significant moves on Bitcoin values. So, it makes sense if we believe that in 2021 will be another great year for Bitcoin.

However, who knows about it. No guarantee for the rising of Bitcoin value. Since Bitcoin is decentralized and no authority to have the responsibility, a bad scenario may happen to break off our expectations. So, how if there is no significant move on Bitcoin price in the upcoming halving? What is your plan as a Bitcoin holder?

- Disappointed and directly trade all holding Bitcoins.
- Keep holding until the next rising.
- No idea. I will think and replan later.
- Others (Write down on your reply).

*Sorry if this topic was already discussed before. I've used the search button and find out no result.

I think I am gonna quit, I will just let my future get along with my current standings in life and go on living a simple life. As of now for me bitcoin is a ticket of big time success, if it really does goes down, then I will just have to accept it and make my business on my town grow without engaging in bitcoin or in any crypto anymore.
695  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Vs Cryptocurrency, which would you choose? on: December 21, 2019, 01:57:35 AM
I have recently been quite curious about the many debates about which currency is better.
Many people say that they will choose Crypto because it is convenient and creates a common currency, bringing equality to all countries.
And some people choose Fiat money because they've been used to using it for decades and now they have credit cards and wallet payment apps online, so why do you need crypto?
Which side do you think is right? I want to hear from you sincerely.

Well seriously as of now, I would prefer both. If only these two can jive but I guess not. I am fond of using crypto currency not just bitcoins when sending money outside the country, because you spend lesser. But when it comes to using it locally, there are few people who accepts it and even don't know about it, so for now I would choose which is the best useful for me at the right situation I am on.
696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teen crook hacked into 75 phones and stole $1M in cryptocurrency: authorities on: December 20, 2019, 01:41:53 PM
Sim swapping technique is slowly becoming a favourite instrument for commuting financial crime. What can be done to prevent this faud?

Apply for private number with the service provider, your number never gets displayed. There is a cost involved.
Never use the number registered with banks for personal use, use it only for financial transaction.
Use condom USB to charge your phone in public.
Install anti malware on your phone.

You can reduce the chance of getting your phone hacked by following the above mentioned.

In some rare cases, if you the sim number you are using is used by a different person also, it literally happened to my cousin, I was calling her number and some other random dude answers the phone and was far away from our place. that is totally weird and told her about it, the next day she changed her number. I never had imagined that even in simcards you are not safe, I was using my phone number for security reasons, like authentication and the likes.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your preparation for 2020? on: December 20, 2019, 11:06:57 AM
summer will pass and 2020 will come soon.
while the market is still below and cryptoqurrency prices are cheap, then how do you prepare for the coming year?

I personally have added some bitcoin and altcoin.
I believe if half of the bitcoin is reduced, there is still hope for the crypto market, especially for the price of altcoin.
How about you?

Buy bitcoin is the main goal for now, aside from office jobs and plans to travel, I really wanted to accumulate more. I haven't bought at the last dip and when things go what I wanted to be I don't have the money so and I couldn't buy more at all. I planned it this time carefully and maybe ext year 2020 is a good time for me.
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is traditional mining dying? on: December 18, 2019, 05:45:40 PM
For large scale I think they are managing their profits very well, but for small time miners like me in the past I don't think so unless you got a free electricity to run your machines. I've already stopped mining when my mother board was fried due to short circuits and the cards were on it. I finally had the chance to grab a low cost energy for mining but I don't have the budget to build a new rig. If there are ways to mine again maybe I will try to mine again.
699  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a good time to buy BTC or Gold? on: December 18, 2019, 04:49:27 PM
Just read this article on whether it's a cool idea to get gold this christmas:

https://cryptotradernews.com/investing-trading/should-buying-gold-be-on-your-christmas-list/

My reasoning to NOT buy gold:

BTC is on sale
the price of gold is not on sale

My reasoning to buy gold:

It's shiny?

Well if you are still on doubt why not just put portions of your investments on different kinds, for example in gold is 30 percent, for crypto another 30 percent, and some other business related or even save it on the bank for fiat. That is a low risk if your having a hard time picking. If you are a gambler then you could pick one and win big or the opposite.
700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Do Women Want? More Educational Materials Before Investing in Bitcoin on: December 17, 2019, 05:06:38 PM
"93 percent of the women surveyed said they’d be more open to investing if they had more educational resources available to them"

I think there's ample of material concerning cryptocurrencies out there though, it's just that the good content isn't just compiled into one website. They simply just need to know where to look. I think this is just the case that men are probably(?) more willing to invest on risky things than women. Just as how men are more likely to do risky things/activities in general.

Google is available for women as well, I don't think search engines are coded to be macho lol. Seriously they have the same resources as men. There is no difference between both we have the same brain. Perhaps they have less time compared to men. I'm all for gender equality, but it's not something natural in some cultures.

20 years ago anything tech was considered to be something for women, most of the jobs were done by women, now it's the total opposite and machos think the tech industry is not for women.

I think women are only interested in something that they are currently experiencing, feeling, whatsoever going through the at the moment. They use google just to know what might be the reason why it is happening or what is the best way to handle those things. They won't ever bother to learn a single thing about new tech like crypto. Maybe they are good of spreading the news, we are seeing most of the crypto investors are men, only have few girls in the field.
