Oh, WOW that's heavy! I just realized how heavily STRAT was dumped down to $3.35...  I'm so glad I sold all my Strat at about $9.5.

I could basically triple my stash right now.

Looks like you're in luck then.  Are you going to pull the trigger and triple up your Stratis stack?  or just sit around and watch Stratis rise past the price you sold it for?  Talk is cheap, actions speak louder than words.   Wink

Already did it! Smiley

Good move on your end.  Stratis in the 3 dollar range won't last much longer.  STRAT are very undervalued.  Once the releases are out on mainnet, Stratis will be shooting for the stars.  Buy and stake.  Smiley
Would be interesting to see how many masternodes at 250k STRAT would be deployed.

Are there any details of their use of the Bancor network? What's the ratio of tokens being held in reserve? Are they holding Bancor tokens or ETH in their reserve?

Has there been any news related to the smaller amounts of tokens that can be staked for rewards? I thought I remember hearing there would be "mini nodes" with like 10k, 50k, 150k underneath the 250k masternode?
You can stake as many coins as today as you'd like. Stratis is proof of stake as of today. Masternodes is separate rewards.

685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: buying alt coins on: November 18, 2017, 04:36:44 AM
Hi,

When buying altcoins, i understand that we typically need to use BTC or ETH to purchase. So we will need to buy BTC or ETH first and then use it to buy altcoins. The thing is do we need to care about the price of BTC or ETH whether they are rising or falling? How will it impact the altcoin purchase?
Thanks.

Always remember that everytime bitcoin has rising mostly altcoins are dumping because some holders selling to get btc and sell it again to usdt. Then when btc are going to price correction you should buy in dip.. time of dumping. Hope it helps you
And remember, nothing happens "everytime" in crypto. The anti-correlation between Bitcoin and Altcoins never lasts.
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret when it comes to Bitcoin? on: November 18, 2017, 04:35:34 AM
i stopped mining back in the day because at the time, it seemed as though it was not worth it.
I had mined about 0.33 btc in about a week (worth about $6 at the time) so i gave up, thinking it was a waste of time/electricity

....fml
That still may have been the case, in that if you spent the money on buying Bitcoin instead of on electricity, you may have come out ahead.
687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: November 18, 2017, 04:26:42 AM
bitcoin goes down all altcoins go down, bitcoin goes up all altcoins go down. might as well sell everything and invest in bitcoin. if stratis didn't have a lot of good news scheduled until the end of this year i would have surely done that.

You are partly right, current market is bitcoin bullish market, it`s hard to make a profit from your altcoin investments.
But i believe the main pump from the whales can be scheduled on spring 2018 or summer. A lot of investors bought Stratis coins on top, it may be difficult to make a profit in middle term. Anyway, i would not sell all stratis coins, maybe part of them.

the alt pump will probably happen early 2018 after bitcoin has breached the 10K gap. Right now the whales know the market is indeed bullish on bitcoin, and they make their best profits by adding fuel to that. What can be expected is that they're testing the market, they're pushing the market up by manipulation, until the market simply doesn't want to move up anymore (probably around 10K). That's when they'll pull out billions
How did you come up with the 2018 timeline? Any reason to expect Bitcoin to stabilize around then? There seem to be a lot of catalysts like the CME announcement going on for Bitcoin.

I would really like to listen to from Bancor group about ICO date. I'm sure they are hectic but i'd appriciate only a declaration.BTW very good news!
The ICO has been completed a long time ago, and there won't be any further ICOs.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: November 17, 2017, 04:50:56 AM
What about the price of the token? Why does it fall? I didn't understand Undecided

Currently there is no use for ICN , but wait december for news Smiley
Is there some scheduled news about the usage of ICN on the platform coming up? Would this be in addition to the buyback and burn in use today?

At the moment there is no official announcement about that when exactly this will happen but we can keep hope for something good in future. This team is working hard to make this platform really useful in future that is why I think very soon good news from dev.

Really, we are looking forward to an official statement about it, investors and ICN holders would expect good news to keep ICN. Too many temptations to sell ICN because the price of ethereum and bitcoin continues to skyrocket.

Ethereum has actually been quite steady in price, but ICN has been falling against ETH quite a bit recently. Doesn't mean it won't catchup in the future though.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: November 17, 2017, 04:49:09 AM
And once again Stratis is suffering from the Bitcoin increase. I think we shouldn't even argue the Bitcoin is and will remain the real cryptocurrency king, probably forever.
Nothing's forever mate  Wink

Theres so many tokens worth buying, you will find them by doing your own research, not listening to others.
Yeah but how do you filter for the signal from the noise?
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: November 16, 2017, 04:08:38 AM
There are PundiX project, ICO on NEM just now.

An interesting video about the work of their system at a conference in Singapore (Singapore FinTech Festival)

PundiX demo - https://www.reddit.com/r/nem/comments/7cx7dk/excellent_video_pundix_demo_at_singapore_fintech/
Wow , another ico on nem. That's really good to see that nem is getting some traction. Grin Hope it's just the beginning.

Yeah absolutely. The industry needs a second platform for ICOs after Ethereum, and NEM is a perfect blockchain for that. It's old enough to have the stability that projects need, enough liquidity and marketcap that it is feasible to have decent sized ICOs and enough blockchain throughput to ensure the apps can actually function and scale over time.

Not to be a stickler but the whitepaper is typically white....

All that unnecessary background graphics makes it difficult to read and keep focused.
42 pages, and my eyes hurt after page 2... Irritating  Undecided

Whitepaper should also, traditionally, be technical in nature. Today all we have are marketing decks masquerading as whitepapers.
695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: November 16, 2017, 03:57:51 AM
There is uncertainty out in this filed of cryptocurrencies and Stratis having large community and use cases can fill the gap by completing the development. Stratis has grown lot and in current situation team also need to review about nodes to reduce it to some affordable level.
The node isn't for everyone for a reason. Keeping it expensive ensures better quality service. Folks that run masternodes are probably just accumulating Stratis at these prices  Cheesy
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: November 12, 2017, 04:57:03 PM
Bithumb is not interested in Stratis.
i talked to koreans on slack channel
Is that an official stance, or informal thoughts of people who have the power to list Stratis, or is it just some random people showing their disinterest?
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CLOUT - Media Decentralized. on: November 12, 2017, 12:55:02 AM
wow revenue share because become token holder. i like this same as automatic income
what is ERC20 and ERC223 different bro ? i do not understand about this
The ERC223 standard would introduce a new function to the existing ERC20 standard to prevent accidental transfers from being fatal. Instead, there would an option to revert such transactions and eventually even block accidental transactions to random contracts altogether

The transition from ERC20 to ERC223 could be painful though
698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: November 12, 2017, 12:17:04 AM
Price has been stable in this range for quite sometimes even during toughest time for cryptocurrencies. It is still hard to predict the future because this market is most volatile but I hope for the best onward from here. They are working and will not want to let it away like this token will get value surely in future.
Stable in what terms? USD or ETH?
699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: November 12, 2017, 12:16:03 AM
I can see BCH is quite potential coin as for now most trader switch into it.
That's why bitcoin consider as risky investation as we can see bitcoin is drop drastically 20% in 48 hours !

The price of Bitcoin Cash is already over $1300. It could be more than bitcoin in a few months.
Part of the cycle. Right now, it is profitable to mine compared to BTC, so miners are all in on BCH. Monday is the next expected difficulty adjustment, at which stage BTC will again become more profitable to mine.

Hey,

Is Stratis similar to XEM/NEM in terms of staking?

I can keep coins on my wallet (offline) and get annual fee's?

If so, how much minimum coins needed?

You can stake STRATIS by keeping your coins in your QT wallet, but you need to keep the wallet online to stake. The PoS rate is 1%/year. Good luck!
I don't know where you're getting the 1% inflation rate but I don't believe that's true. The rewards are 1 STRAT per block, with each block produced every 1 minute on an average. Based on the current supply, this gives a less than 1% inflation rate for PoS.
