Voting Phase Update #1

To vote via social media, or to view your canadates page: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hcphJLfALJwqhpR_H3yxlYgmLShhr_6ahlt7Gq2Aj_k/edit?usp=sharing

All information regarding social media voting is provided in that google sheet.

Note: Bitcointalk votes will not be immediately credited towards the voting occuring over social media. Votes will be tallied possibly per week (Bitcointalk+social media). So the number of votes reflected on Coins Source may not be the actual count at any time.

Again for all specific Candidate URL pages: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hcphJLfALJwqhpR_H3yxlYgmLShhr_6ahlt7Gq2Aj_k/edit?usp=sharing

Edit: Bitcointalk voting is restricted to 250 Activity+ Full-Members/Senior-Members++ and beyond only. Information regarding how to vote on this thread is on page 42.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them here and we'll respond as soon as we can.

Happy voting everyone!

Thanks for your patience everyone. Voting will begin very soon, the details on how to vote will be posted in a new ANN thread.

It should be noted, voting will not occur on Bitcointalk.org, but over Facebook and Twitter. More details and information will be posted.

That's bullshit. A lot of people don't use any social media like FB or Twitter. I'm certainly not associating my BCT username with anything social media related just to vote. All I can say is wow, just wow...

Hopefully others on here will voice in agreement.

+1
Majority of Darkcoin people WILL NOT vote on social networks

+11111 cant believe yr trying to force us to use Twitter or Facebook to vote...

Apologies, but that was miscommunitcation. For the majority of voters, they will be required to use Social media.

All Bitcointalk accounts with over 250+ Activity and Senior Members+ will be eligible to cast their vote on Bitcointalk. The activity must be 250+ at time the voting phase ends.

We will not accept anyone under 250+ activity to vote on Bitcointalk, due to lacking devotion to digital currencies in general and mass manipulation found within lesser-ranks. We recognize the need to have anonymity, but this is a voting process and has to be as fair as possible to those developers who actively are reaching out to new community followers through a broader gateway.

Secondly, a lot of people involved in digital currencies reside on Reddit and social neglect Bitcointalk.org all together due to the high amounts of FUD and climate that some coins may reside in currently.

We are here to promote the individuals hard-work and efforts and push digital currencies forward.

Update #6

1) Nomination Phase ends today at 5pm Pacific Standard Time (PST)

2) We will announce when new nomiantions will no longer be counted.

3) Official Voting will occur on two outlets, Reddit and Twitter

4) Official Voting results and voting itself can be done on CoinsSource.com, which is in proper voting format.

5) You will also have the chance to vote without visting Coins Source, we will announce how to do so 12/1/2014

6) ALL Social media accounts will be checked, if there is a large manipulation of the voting process, we will keep you updated accordingly. Once the voting process is done, all tweets/reddit posts will be checked. There may be some large number of votes towards a canadate and could be seen as false, no worries it will be sorted accordingly during 12/28 and 1/10/2014.

688  Economy / Service Discussion / A Peak Into The Gaw and Coinfire Fiasco on: November 25, 2014, 09:08:31 PM
"As of recently, there has been a stirrup in the Bitcoin space over a debacle between the GAW cloud mining services at the crypto publication CoinFire. CoinFire claims there has been overt dishonesty by the GAW team, which has been met with denial from GAW - a rather predictable scenario. But perhaps there is some reason for concern."

689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2014 Proof of Honor (POH) Awards - Nominate an Individual! on: November 22, 2014, 10:38:11 PM
just wondering when the next update on how many votes the nominees have will be? Smiley would be good to know how many votes the top guy has and everyone else.

Very soon! Evoked should be posting a status update later today, or tomorrow.

Just a quick reminder, we will be filtering accounts and posting all ineligible accounts that have nominated here, to keep this as transparent as it can be.

Official Voting will begin 12/1/2014. We are currently working out the final details, on the safest and most convenient way for voting.

What we are considering voting via social media, Twitter, Facebook, and Googleplus, for a broader outreach and exposure to many of the digital currencies that have 15+ nominations, and the nominated individuals themselves. More details next week.
ok thanks Smiley

Does that mean the votes made thus far will not count in the official tally?

Correct, this is currently the Nomination phase. To get an accurate depiction of who to vote on for the voting phase. (re-worded) The Bitcointalk community is choosing the potential winners, to progress to the voting round.

15 Nominations are needed to get into the official voting round, to reduce the overall number of candidates. Then once voting is open, all votes that are valid will be counted and the individual with the most votes, wins the 2014 Proof of Honor awards.

The award will be extensive on our end (offering some neat stuff) and some unannounced goodies. Stay tuned Smiley

Could you check and confirm?

We will be confirming all nominations during the final week, and list accounts that we've found to be "puppets" here on this thread, so nomination process stays as transparent as possible.

Any assistance is welcomed in transparency, feel free to call out accounts that may seem like a "puppet" and accordingly votes will be subtracted from the current tally of nominations.

Is this the process you have followed to produce this graphic?

The graphic displays just an overall count, we've not filtered any puppet accounts as of yet. Also the graphic is a few hours old now aswell.

We will announce mid-next week an official count (on a graphic saying "official), with filtering of puppets. Accordingly, those "puppet" accounts that we filtered will be published on this thread, for a possible re-examination, in the instance we've made an error.

Really? No one nominated Satoshi?

Fine, ill nominate him then  Cheesy.

The Coins Source team has already awarded Satoshi Nakamoto for giving birth to all digital-currency based industries and concept which all alternative coins rely-on or mimic.

His Proof of Honor page will be coming soon, but here's his card and all his awards for whenever he wants to claim it Smiley

It was announced in the official release of Proof of Honor on 11/11/2014

Just did this, personally I am not quite getting the necessity, but well it's here, and also don't doubt the XMG team seriously works on the matters, be with us!

Solid progress, keep up the great work!

Magi team is a hard-working and have no lack of honesty/transparency. Along with no ICO that occurred, which makes us willing to put forth our full-trust behind the Magi Team.

Keep up the good work!
