681  Other / Meta / Re: My suggestion on how to reduce the spam problem in gambling board, what's yours? on: October 20, 2023, 02:41:30 PM

The gambling board is not the only board with that peculiar case of spammers. Spamming, spammers and the spam problem will always be in the forum. If spammers are driven away from the gambling board, they will find another board to spam. Best you can do is to continue to report any post you consider as spam to the mod for removal.

I believe Reece James in order to remain healthy and avoid this consistent injury crises might need to find some other adjustment to his playing style and which could be playing more into the midfield department or CB, where he can easily adjust with the use of less sprint or pace, to become a more stable contributor to the team, and that's what I'd expect of Poch upon Recce James' full availability with the group.
Just like Neymar, Reece James will continue to experience injuries all through his career and that may force him to an early retirement. Even if the coach puts him in a better position where he can play differently, it will be delaying the inevitable.

I am in a crisis this week, William Saliba may not play against Chelsea, he has a problem with his big toe. Casimero is also injured, Mitoma may not also play for Brighton this weekend due to illness, Isak is in doubt for the game against Crystal Palace, he is struggling with a knee injury. Awoniyi is also out. That is a total of five players in my team who are not sure to play this week. I already expect a bad result.

684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: October 20, 2023, 12:19:36 AM

As humans, we like to commended or preferably rewarded occasionally for being correct with a guess or prediction and it is on this attributes that gambling platforms have leveraged on to make a business that will serve as a form of entertainment and also give the players a chance to be rewarded for the right bets.

I agree that gambling is inbuilt @OP.

Gambling itself is not bad, it is the addiction that is bad. People are mostly advised about it because it is loose control to and easy to get addicted to.

He should first ask himself the purpose for which the gold was passed down from one generation to the other till it got to him.

Does it represent something special for the family and was never meant for sale but to be passed from generation to generation, or is it gold that was passed down as inheritance and will not mean anything if it is sold and not passed to the next generation? These are two very important questions.

If it is gold that should not be sold, it means that it should not be sold because if it is sold and the money invested into bitcoins, that original amount invested from the sale of the bitcoin is still not logically yours and will need to passed to the next generation. You can only claim ownership to the profit from it.

It is a terrible time for the low income earners. The economy will be terrible on them because a rise in exchange rate affects the cost of basic commodities in the market, almost everything is affected and some basic things start becoming unaffordable. This economic difficulty can be traced to unqualified leaders occupying and making bad financial decisions and economic policies.

An election was just conducted in the country from where new leaders have come into power. We should not be experiencing this because the new leaders ought to be showing how much better they are than the last administration, but we are witnessing the direct opposite, things are becoming tougher.
688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Lump sum Vs DCA" for Bitcoin Accumulation on: October 19, 2023, 04:36:29 PM
~
DCA should be in the basic strategy of every investor to accumulate more bitcoins to what they have. Lump sums for investment will not always be available, and if you choose to always wait to invest lump sums, because of how long you may have to always wait to get and invest the lump sum, sometimes someone who is a committed DCA-er and DCA-ing reasonable amount regularly would have accumulated more (Not in all cases though, as it depends on the amount of lump sum and amount used in DCA).

If you invest Lump sum as well, you will have your attention a lot focused on your investment. You will not be a relaxed investor, unless the lump sum invested is still an amount you can afford to loose like when you are already wealthy.

DCA as an investor in bitcoins, but also be flexible enough to invest Lump sums at intervals if you can. The goal is to get more bitcoins, any legal way to accumulate it is accepted.
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 18, 2023, 08:58:15 PM
I have often wondered about the people who have lost a lot in gambling and who almost loose in every gambling activity they participate. What is their reason or motivation to continue even after so many losses?
Some habit of gamblers are worth emulating, not all habits that they show is bad. If you examine the life of a serious gambler, you will notice that gamblers have or develop a positive trait that can be emulated by others who do not even gamble, and that habit is having a strong mindset of mostly never giving up. There is always the sustained belief that if they keep trying, they will one day be able to win something tangible to cover all their loss or as compensation, and that is what keeps gamblers going.
690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help this time with a personal situation on: October 18, 2023, 06:32:15 PM
therefore I would like someone to please advise me on a page where I could work without investments, such as a faucet that is worth it or something that allows me to generate $2 a day because per month it would be almost $60 and as you can see that exceeds by far my salary in my country and it would help me a lot.
$60 a month is still not so big, you only see that amount as big because you have not started earning such yet. You can earn more from learning other important skills like trading since mining may be difficult to start. With what you earn, maybe you will be able to find a mentor or academy to help you learn the basics and have a good foundation. In less than a year, with serious dedication, you should be able to earn and make more profit than what you will earn from signatures and bounties. It is also a lifelong skill that can assure you consistent financial benefit if you stay dedicated to learning.
691  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Reward for a Trading Mentor on: October 18, 2023, 04:35:13 PM
Yes, I need a mentor in this renewed trading journey who would teach me the practical aspect of it. Because any of us can easily quote the theoretical knowledge of trading.
What is the best reward for mentorship? How do you think I should reward the mentor when I have one? And how often should this be?
Not all mentors require some kind of reward, Most mentors are in better position than their mentee's so they know that their service to you in form of mentorship cannot really be rewarded. Some just need to be appreciated every now and then with little gestures of appreciation like gifts etc. They do not need to demand it of course before you act.

The best reward for some other mentors for their mentorship is also you their mentee striving to become better and more independent enough to mentor another person, so they can be proud of you.
692  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if the internet permanently shuts down on: October 18, 2023, 01:41:52 PM
I'd love to be enlightened better on why it can be impossible that the internet can never be permanently shutdown, having in mind the shortcomings that I've mentioned?
Some countries may decide to block their internet connections due to some reasons like to political crisis or other things like to control their citizens.

Some countries like India, Iran, Ethiopia, Russia have all done so before.
Quote
India is singled out as the “biggest offender” with at least 84 internet blackouts in 2022. Most of these happened in the disputed regions of Jammu and Kashmir, both long gripped by political instability,
Quote
Iran, which turned off the internet 18 times as it clamped down on anti-regime protests, and Myanmar’s junta, which introduced seven blackouts.
Quote
Russia’s military used missile strikes and cyber-attacks to cut off the internet in Ukraine 22 times and also made efforts to “force occupied territories on to highly censored and surveilled Russian networks
Quote
The blackout imposed by Ethiopia’s government on its rebellious Tigray region is the longest shutdown recorded by Access Now and #KeepItOn, lasting more than two years amid allegations of killings, rape and ethnic cleansing. Phone and mobile internet were restored to Tigray after the signing of a ceasefire
source

But it is highly unlikely that there will be a total shutdown of the internet in every country and every place at the same time. At this stage, The possibility and probability of it happening is close to zero.
693  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Implications of War on Individuals on: October 17, 2023, 09:21:59 PM
- do you have any survival tips during war period?
-Move to an area far from the fighting if you can.
-Gather information from trusted sources.
-Take advantage of opportunities to learn how to protect yourself.
-Identify escape routes from your country.
-Look for medicine and hygiene products as well. These are important for maintaining your health in stressful situations.
-Gather canned and nonperishable food items.
-Loot supplies if you have no other choice.
-Learn basic first-aid to treat minor injuries.
source

I like to add the importance of considering fitness right now because you never know if your country is the next place for a crisis to start.
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: October 17, 2023, 07:46:17 PM
Currently everything is going very well for Italy. They are leading 1:0 against England and everyone knows how good England is at the moment, so Im surprised.
Their lead did not last long. England were very relaxed even after Scamacca put Italy in front. The three lion were very confident in their ability, and from the efforts of Bellingham won a penalty that was delivered well by Harry Kane to give him his 60th goal in his 87th appearance.

The Italians look dangerous, and can win this game if England continue to give them chances to try Pickford. Gareth Southgate has players that can turn the game around completely in England's favor, we will see them in the second Half.

Phil Foden in Saka's position is not as effective as Saka would have been. More of England's chances have come from Rashford and Bellingham.
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was ripped off on: October 17, 2023, 03:10:04 PM
Sorry about your loss, this is another example of people who make use of cryptocurrency for dubious purpose. Sometimes when you want to purchase something for someone online, never accept to pay them with bitcoins especially when they are people or individuals you have not done business with before, and just meeting for the first time.

Ask for bank details, so you can always confirm the identity and name of the person provided with the name on the account, this will make things easier to trace in such cases.

I don't think the guy actually owns the car but the plates on the car are New Jersey - 12845QQ and he gave me a name of Damon Eden
You were scammed. forget any personal detail that was given to you, it is fake, or the identity of another person.
696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am 19 years old boy living in South korea. Please give me an advice on: October 17, 2023, 02:30:02 PM
I receive about $100 a month from my dad. I am planning to use them to buy some bitcoin.
You have the privilege of having a father that financially still provides assistance to you, it is good that you already plan on investing it in bitcoins. Before that privilege elapses, you would have already been able to accumulate enough bitcoins by DCAing.

Please give me an advice to be successful Bitcoin investor in the future.
You are young and will face many distractions. There will be the distraction to party with friends, spend on girls, spend on yourself and others, you must make a budget for that so that that lifestyle does not affect your investing and accumulation of bitcoins.

697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife. on: October 17, 2023, 02:09:45 PM
Have any of you managed to teach your wife Bitcoin? Have any of you gifted bitcoin to a wife like me?
I will not gift bitcoins to my wife, as her partner what is mine is hers too, so there is no need gifting bitcoins to her to keep when I can keep it by myself for both of us and the family. I will expose my wife to the knowledge of something called bitcoins and teach her about it first, teach her the importance of hodling and the strategy to accumulate bitcoins so she can start DCAing from whatever she earns too.

Bitcoin is valuable, but while my wife has little or no knowledge about bitcoins, other gifts that women like such as jewelry, bags, cash gift, hairs etc. will be more appreciated.

When it comes to Arsenal's defenders, I have White from the start and he's been great for me so far.

Saliba and White
Arsenal currently have one of the best defense in the premier league, and at the center of that is Saliba and Gabriel. White has also been good, but with Partey back, we may see Arteta starting Partey in Right back ahead of White, so he can have Declan Rice and him in one game, like he was doing when the season just started. So I suspect White may soon be having lesser playing time.

699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin on: October 16, 2023, 07:42:59 PM
Buying Bitcoin

How do I buy bitcoin safely and securely?
Again, I repeat the similar warning I always give to any OP that ask this question on this forum.

Be careful of any private message from any member of this forum, that will tell you that they sell bitcoins in exchange for cash.

Responses to any question are usually public, any private message in the form of a forum user trying to help you as a newbie with interest in owning bitcoins, that person is a scammer.
700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? Selling all or not on: October 16, 2023, 07:29:42 PM
when finally, the bull market  comes should I sell all my bitcoins and prepare to accumulate from afresh in the next bear market again? or should I keep some percentage to continue the accumulation?
I think it will be a wrong approach to sell all the bitcoins that you have struggled to accumulate for a long time. What is the point selling all your bitcoins if you do not need all the money.

The bull run will give you profit, it can be a time to take a break from strict hodling, take out some profit and get yourself some things or do what you have always wanted or make another investment asides from bitcoins. You were disciplined enough to accumulate bitcoins and then hodl well, I think some little leisure spending and gratifications should not be out of place.
