681  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Realistic Earnings From Butterfly Labs Miners on: April 15, 2013, 06:45:24 PM
Thanks for your work, ripple.

The earnings figures are taken from calculator on the butterfly labs website,

I hope they delete this calculator asap - because otherwise no one would order their products any more  Wink

683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PPC Mining now Stable and Profitable? on: April 15, 2013, 03:58:08 PM
Hello everyone.  Do you guys think PPC will stay stable/time to mine PPC or, should LTC still be mined at the moment until it reaches Gox?

Thoughts?

imho wrong (sub)forum -> should go to "Other > Alternate cryptocurrencies".

imho LTC already had it's soon-on-MtGox bonus. PPC didn't.
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TRC] TRC network at 735.1 GH on: April 15, 2013, 03:55:13 PM
Noob ASIC's keeping jumping on it, then jumping off when difficulty rises.

Doesn't look like. It's constantly between 700 and 900 GH/s in the last 24 hours.

When ASICs jumped on and off it was more like 10 GH/s (off) and 300 GH/s (on).
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TRC] TRC network at 735.1 GH on: April 15, 2013, 03:30:47 PM
If the stats from coinotron.com are correct, TRC network is now larger than PPC network.

What's going on there?
686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terracoin 0.1.3-36 yet another MANDATORY upgrade! on: April 15, 2013, 03:09:14 PM
you download it from sourceforge directly....

Explain please: Why is it called SatoshiClone?

688  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Timeline - illustrated on: April 15, 2013, 11:55:37 AM
Another thing to note is that up until 22nd January 2013 they show their old FPGA miners in the ASIC ads.

Starting 22nd January 2013 they show their actual ASIC products (or renders, who knows). Or at least the cases (with nothing in it).

Which leads to the conclusion that up until end of January 2013 they had nothing at all.

"Honest abe" shipment in October 2012? What a joke ...

689  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Why is BFL allowed to advertise on the forum? on: April 15, 2013, 11:47:48 AM
Similar question: Why is BFL allowed to advertise on Google Ads?

All their ads say "Order now" (instead of "Pre Order now"). They don't have a product (yet) to order. I'd call that a scam.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TRC] TRC network at 735.1 GH on: April 15, 2013, 11:08:53 AM
Looks like 4 ASICs on coinotron alone. But that explains only ~280 GH.
691  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: NEED PCB DESIGNER on: April 15, 2013, 10:37:07 AM

692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TRC] TRC network at 735.1 GH on: April 15, 2013, 10:12:14 AM
Because TRC shot up in price. Watch now as people begin dumping TRC and crash it.

No. Because:
   Network Hashrate: 10x
   Price: not even 2x

Please not basher or pusher bullcrap information here - I asked a serious question.
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [TRC] TRC network at 735.1 GH on: April 15, 2013, 09:37:32 AM
coinotron.com shows TRC network at 735.1 GH. If this is accurate - what happened?!?!

ftfy:

The posh neon sign at the entrance of the office seems to be working too.  If that doesn't inspire confidence in their ability to produce a working ASIC cheap porn movie, I don't know what will!
697  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Can I get some clarification on this BFL product? on: April 14, 2013, 08:14:56 AM
It's the bfl jalapeno, it's due to ship soon, ...

Seriously, dudes! Given BFLs track record of failures you don't have to be a genious to figure out what BFLs next fail will be: Assembly.

I am looking forward to June or July to read something like this from Josh/BFL: "Due to [insert random reason here] we are unfortunately not able to assemble 400 units a day as originally planned/promised/hoped/guessed, but only 20. We are terribly sorry for that. Not.".

If you order now, you can be happy to receive your unit in 2013. Or 2014. imho.
698  Economy / Economics / Zuckerberg's nemeses revealed as Bitcoin moguls -> Winklevoss twins (oh no!!!!!) on: April 12, 2013, 12:00:41 PM

Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss have been many things in a short time: Olympic rowers. Nemeses of Mark Zuckerberg. Characters on The Simpsons. Now they can add a new label: bitcoin moguls.
