681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting online courses? on: November 03, 2023, 04:05:39 PM
I'm not promoting this yes there are sports betting courses on sites like Udemy
https://www.udemy.com/topic/Sports-Betting if you are a dedicated sports bettor and you are comfortable with the prices and you can spend time and effort, you can learn how to have a chance to win.

I used the word chance because there's really no guarantee when it comes to winning on sports betting, even the best sports bettors lose even if they did a good analysis.

This is unusual because there are only a few sports bettors who consistently win, and those who are truly skilled usually keep a low profile. So, what can an online course do for our betting journey? Will it help us become better at winning, or is it simply an educational resource covering the basics of sports betting? If the course only provides basic information that's freely available online, it might not be necessary to enroll, as it could be a waste of money and might as well use that money to start betting right way.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports bets or in-house games, which is best for the weekend. on: November 03, 2023, 02:52:19 PM
I prefer in-house games because, in sports, I mainly enjoy boxing. So that limits the fun for me when we are talking about sports gambling. But I have been looking into a few sports and I may be changing my mind sometime in the near future.

Having said that, if you are looking for fun, I think slots are probably the most fun you can have without having to think about strategies or game plans.

Just for when you come home from work, tired, and want to relax without having to turn on your brain and stress your mind. At least that is how I see things.  Grin

You don't get a lot of action in sports betting if you're only following boxing. Try to learn and enjoy other sports as well, like basketball and soccer football. They have plenty of games to keep you engaged.

Personally, I prefer sports betting because I can gamble from the comfort of my home. There's no need to go out and socialize with people I don't know in real life. I can simply place my bet, relax on my sofa, and enjoy watching the sport.
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 03, 2023, 02:11:38 PM
The Pelicans once again are playing strong especially if they are complete. But while the season just started, Zion was rested against the Pistons today. So it seems like there is something wrong with his physical condition once again. It will be very sad if he suffers another season-ending injury. And this season starts Zion's nearly $200 million 5-year contract.

Yeah, the regular season has just started, but Zion is already missing games to rest. It's weird, but it looks like the Pelicans medical staff has some valid concerns about his physical condition. I guess the problem is with his knees again, and the Pelicans need to do something with Zion's injury predisposition, otherwise this will go on "indefinitely" since the main reason for that is because he's overweight.

That will be too bad though if Zion will again miss any games because of his injuries. We thought that he is already healed as it almost took a season for him to rest and rehab that injury. However, despite his best effort to trim down his weight and build some muscles, his body still have a hard time from the pounding that he is putting so that is going to be a big concern on the team again whether he can go this grueling season and not getting injured and could be resting in some games.

I don't know, maybe we are going to see him being traded if he is not going to be fully healthy and don't contribute to the team. Their medical staff really need to work very hard for Zion, but if everything doesn't goes well, then I wouldn't be surprised if the management will have to think their options on him.

Let's not overthink this just yet. There hasn't been an official statement about the injury. The official statement was that he was given a rest by the team. So, let's focus the discussion on that first. Maybe we can start to have doubts if he misses the next game, as that wouldn't be a 'rest' anymore. Usually, a rest is only for one day for a player with no injury. In Zion's case, they might have rested him because they believed they could beat the Pistons without him, and they did.

This is the news, I don't know if there's any new stating about a particular injury.
Quote
An injury report released by the Pelicans on Thursday said Williamson is being held out for rest. The decision comes after Williamson contributed 20 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in New Orleans 110-106 victory at Oklahoma City on Wednesday night.

If you have an income that is in the top 5% of earners in your country, what are you going to do, move to a poor neighbourhood, live in a shitty flat and drive a shitty car to hide? It's one thing if you don't show off, but if you have a high income it's normal to live in a good neighbourhood and drive a good car, to give a couple of examples.

I think I am misunderstood here about flaunting your wealth, this is not about depriving your self a well deserved luxury life, but rather trying to make it excess or more so getting used to exposing them to camera. If you’re frequent on social media you will have seen many Gen z taking photos of even what they eat at home while it’s not an advertisement. There are many made people who try to avoid some of this camera stunt except when it is needed to be done, that is the kind of life I meant to say.
This is why you need to stay lowkey despite of your life's achievements. Well, we can't hide actually from the people if we want to live a good life, but unless you're not making any sugar coat and you don't flaunt your wealth, then no one will suspect you that you are currently successful in your bitcoin investment or whatever investment you have.

A lot of people are living in luxury but without no life's issues. That is because they just live simply as it is, enjoying what they have, and not to obviously spread one's wealth just to sound boastful or to prove to the people around you that you are better and richer than them.
685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think if you have a lot of money its hard to satisfy your ego in gambling on: November 02, 2023, 03:01:16 PM
What do you think, if I have millions I will be satisfied betting thousands of dollars for fear of addiction that will lead to losing my fortune, but I really don't know if I will reach that level of having millions and still be moderate in gambling.

There's no fixed answer when it comes to the amount of a wager. It still depends on personal preference because there are millionaires who find the excitement even when betting $100 per bet. So, we can't really make a general rule based on a specific amount, as everyone has their own level of satisfaction.

Personally, at my current level, I'm not yet a millionaire (hopefully, I will be someday), and I find it thrilling to wager around $50 per bet on sports. Most likely, it will increase when I reach the millionaire stage, haha! I'm thinking maybe $1,000 per bet? I don't know.Smiley

It was a great ending to that battle of Los Angeles game between the Clippers and Lakers. I thought the Lakers were going to let it slip away but then Paul George fouled out. The stars showed up though. LeBron was on fire all game as was Paul George. Kawhi Leonard wasn’t bad either. Exactly what everyone expected to see. Lakers held out for the win though.
What a game.

Kawhi did the intro on the early quarters and those outside shots were blast. Paul George also was on fire. But that was so bad that they were on the lead and Lakers managed to get back with those leads.

Whilst for the Lakers, everyone also contributed. Although the early for Reaves wasn't so great though but during the OT, he did great.

This is the second time that the Clippers had a game they could have won, but they ended up losing. I think they need to get better at finishing games because they tend to struggle in the second half and lose their confidence, especially when it goes into overtime. I don't mean to disrespect the LA Lakers; they're a good team. However, the Clippers could have won that game if they didn't let the Lakers take a big lead in the third quarter. What I'm saying is they need to play consistently well.

Maybe things will change once James Harden joins them. I think we might see him play his debut in the next Clippers game. We'll see how he fits in with the team, and I'm sure we'll witness a different Clippers team. They might even become the best in the NBA, surpassing what Boston has achieved recently. All this are the positive scenario only, at least for now that's what we should think.

He will practice for few more days before he'll debut with the Clippers as reported.

"James Harden will not be playing tonight... The plan is for him to get practice over the next few days."

@ShamsCharania
reports that James Harden will not be playing in tonight's game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Their next game will be on November 6 on the road against the Knicks, so plenty of time for James Harden to practice with the team, and thats the time we can judge if the Clippers made the right decision getting Harden and letting some of their reliable players go.
687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 02, 2023, 12:55:13 PM
That for the win jump shot of Klay was too clutch, was too risky they didn't call a timeout but Steve Kerr do really believe in his players.

Klay Thompson is a reliable and experienced player. If there are players that Coach Steve Kerr would trust to take the last shot, it's probably a choice between Curry and Thompson only, because they've been doing it for a long time and have a high success rate. Although the Kings played very well, the Warriors' determination to win came through. Now, they have their first home team victory of the season.
688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: November 01, 2023, 09:36:52 PM
And I want to begin with a game with a low budget.

Discover the game that truly interests you and begin with a modest budget when you're still new to it. Expect some losses initially as you're still getting the hang of the game, and starting with a smaller budget means those losses won't significantly impact your finances. This approach allows you to continue exploring without hurting your pocket. It's essential to emphasize that gambling addiction can become a problem when you don't adhere to proper bankroll management and let your emotions, rather than your rational thinking, guide your decisions. So, hopefully you'll follow this advice to stay in the safe side.
689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "change password frequently" on: November 01, 2023, 09:12:43 PM
I personally don't believe it's necessary to change my forum password because I'm concerned that if I forget the new password, recovering my account might be difficult and time-consuming. Unlike a Google account, where password recovery is instant due to the linked contact number, forum  lack this feature.

To safeguard my password from being hacked, I take precautions by avoiding unnecessary downloads that could potentially infect my computer and refraining from clicking on untrusted links that might lead to password loss.

It's also important to remain vigilant about fake Bitcointalk websites. While I'm not certain if they still exist, I prefer not to open them in my browser. This topic has been discussed here before.

690  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A more scientific mindset is necessary to avoid scams. on: November 01, 2023, 07:40:28 PM
Don't make things too complicated. Anyone can easily track a scam provided that it has certain red flags that will help us point and identify that it's really a scam. Even without applying a scientific mindset, you will know that a scam is heading and that you should avoid it as early as possible before it will hit you and start taking advantage of you. But that will only happen if you are exposed to different scams happening around, that's why being cautious and careful is crucial so that we won't be falling on their traps again and continue their mission.

However, if you think that there is a need for a scientific mindset in order to identify and avoid scams, then that's also your choice. But never assume that everyone will stick to it as by being logical and rational, you will certainly end up identifying and avoiding a scam.

692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is this fascination with claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto? on: October 31, 2023, 09:38:34 PM
Why are these people obsessed with being identified as Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin? In 2019 this website reported a list of self-proclaimed bitcoin founder;

  • Ronald Keala Kua Maria
  • Pakastani Bilal Khalid and his PR firm Ivy McLemore
  • Debo Jurgen Etienne Guido
  • Jörg Molt
  • Craig Wright
  • Paul Calder Le Roux

There are more who have claimed to be Satoshi but why? Why do they want to be Satoshi so bad they look stupid to the public with all their self proclamation. In fact there are so many dangers in being Satoshi because he would be the center of every backlash, investigations, arrest warrants, and what have you. And besides, it would make no difference because he, Satoshi technically would have no say on how the bitcoin network should or should not run based on the consensus. Which other faketoshis do you know? And have you ever taken any of them seriously?
Well, it could be for popularity and own the spotlight that only the real Satoshi deserves. But more than that, I believe its all about money matters and making more money from those people who easily believe on them. In short, they want to use this opportunity to scam people most especially that bitcoin is in the verge of popularity when it comes to profitability and security in an crypto investment. If they can do that, they will become instant billionaires in an instant without proving their real identity to the whole world.

However, we're also aware that the real Satoshi is not active anymore in any form of social media platform. He could be dead, or he is just living away from the spotlight for personal reasons. This makes the scammers hard to deceive people and pretend to be Satoshi. A lot really tried to claim the name of Satoshi but all of them failed in the process.
693  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you any of pump groups or Channel ? on: October 31, 2023, 08:50:52 PM
No, I do not trust them. It's good such groups worked out well for you so far but don't be surprised if soon enough they try to dump some shitcoin over you, and you be an exit liquidity for them.

Don't blindly follow anything even if that thing made you easy money in the past.

Pump groups are there to make money of you, just like celebrities once a person is popular enough they get endorsements, similar way these groups get endorsement offers (even from scammers) once they are grown enough, and group owners may or may not do their due diligence on what they endorse, so it's you who should be careful.
Everything that is too good to be true will fall as a scam. It's even a red flag if you don't know OP. That is why trusting them is the hardest part for me, and I will never trust them for sure since I already knew what could be the bottom result of trying to be part of this channel.  If you still don't see it OP, go and take some initial research so you will gain some ideas before you put your full trust on them. Do not rely on their own reviews since everything that is written there are fake and obviously manipulated.

Learn to avoid them as much as you can. You can be gaining profits at the beginning, but rest assured there will no next time for that. Since it's time for them to take back all the profits and you will end up regretting why you'd come to trust them in the very beginning.
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to build a career with bitcoin? on: October 29, 2023, 02:40:17 PM
One of my older brothers bought bitcoin with that money, instead of keeping it in the bank, about 6 months ago, the price of bitcoin was 24-25k+, and he bought about 1 BTC. The price of bitcoin has increased to 34K+. In just 6 months, he has made a profit of 9k+ dollars, which would have taken more than 20 years to get from the bank. This means that bitcoin can become a millionaire if people invest in it at the right time. I also bought some bitcoins myself and did it by withdrawing money from the bank. Success is not possible if you do not take risks in life. I know how hard it is to make money and if it is to sweat your head and work day and night, then it is worth it. And we can make a lot of income by buying or trading bitcoin with the right rules. I think bitcoin is a bright future for us.

No matter how risky bitcoin is, there are still some few people who managed to be successful in their investment or trading activities. But mostly it's in trading that people build their career and earn a living. However, only professional traders are able to do that because of their years of experience in the trading market that made them skillful and competent enough to succeed on their trades. While the rest are just good at the start and eventually decide to quit in the end since they cannot manage to deal with the risks because of their wrong attitude and wrong mindset about trading.

While rare of these traders find career in trading, some end up trading regretting because they lose their money in an instant when all they believe that trading could give them bigger and immediate profits especially if they start trading with higher amount of capital. Trading with bitcoin is actually profitable, but it's unfortunate that most traders end up ruining their trades than building good career with bitcoin trading.

First, I will make every available promotion, bonus,

Yes, you can find this opportunity if you are an active gambler, and considering the $50k target, it's safe to assume you have a substantial amount of money to risk, which makes you more eligible for the rewards and bonuses.

arbitrage opportunity,
You'll probably find 1 of 10k bets an arbitrage opportunity, this is easier said that done as bookies now are just probably getting from the same bookmakers, so it's a tough job to find this opportunity. This is free moeny actually as you could just end up break even or you win. But good luck with that.

injury information, and stale lines..

Pretty basic my friend, you'll find a lot of information regarding this from difference sources, if you are into huge target, this should be your priroity and as you become a a good sports handicapper and casino player, the chances  of winning will increase overtime.
696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 29, 2023, 01:43:06 PM
I think the games are very entertaining already!
Harden and his requests get way too much attention in my opinion. He is not worth the headache anymore, that's why no team is currently trading for him. Even the clippers, even though reported they have some big interest, aren't really making a move to make this trade happen.
His stock is declining day by day an d the longe it takes the smaller a possible trade package will become.

WHo want's to spend role players and picks for that guy, with only 1 year on his deal.

The 76ers should have gotten rid of Harden months ago by accepting the Clippers' offer. However, it looks like the moment is gone, as the Clippers have stopped negotiating this deal after the start of the regular season. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Harden's value on the market drops to the point where no team wants to sign him even next offseason.

If Philly doesn't pull the trigger on a trade, we might see Harden's value take a hit. But we've got to face the fact that he's been a bit of a headache. On the flip side, if they do decide to part ways with him, they could score some quality players in return. The 76ers have already proven they can win without him, and adding more role players to the roster could be a game-changer. Don't expect a one-for-one trade for Harden, though, as none of the current superstars are available. It might be a package deal with some solid role players.
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]Adrien Broner vs Chris Howard (Welterweight) Nov 4. . on: October 29, 2023, 12:25:10 PM
Yes, most likely this is the case, as we all know that Broner doesn't have the hype anymore and obviously his opponent? We don't know him really. So it's a good move for the promoters, or maybe it will be good if this could be in some undercard, so that there will be exposure.

But in any case that the promoters are going to make this a stand alone fight, might be difficult to make money. Unless they really low ball both of this fighters to accept the fight with small money.

Everybody knows Adrien Broner! He's a former champion and even went head-to-head with Manny Pacquiao. Maybe the reason this fight isn't for a championship is that they're trying to figure out how to make it appealing to the fans and generate a ton of money.

I think everyone is more familiar of Broner losing to Marcos Maidana and becoming the internet meme for years. He is somewhat on the downside of his career when he was given that sweepstakes to have a fight with Manny and for sure he made a ton of money out of it. But he lost that fight and his comments post fight interview is one of the craziest.
Who could forget his post-fight interview? I still remember the famous words that came out of his mouth. He said, "I beat that boy," LOL! He really didn't show respect for Pacman and couldn't accept that he lost. He even claimed to have landed more clean shots on Manny, but the Compubox records show he only threw a few punches.

If they're having trouble finding the right timing, they could make this fight an undercard for a popular main event in boxing. Or, Broner might just decide to leave professional boxing and jump into the hype of exhibition matches. Who knows, maybe he'll even take on one of the Paul Brothers!

Possible, but I'm not seeing any fight next week that can fit this fight. Besides, as what we have seen, Broner is way past his prime and then facing a fighter who is also inactive for many years.

They are still evenly matched because Chris Howard isn't a well-known boxer, but I'm actually still interested to see if Broner has that swagger in the ring and whether he can secure a KO. If he does, I bet his name will resonate with the fans.
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: October 29, 2023, 02:43:54 AM
I also read the news, and it's really disappointing. The same thing happened to his brother during his fight against Stephen Fulton; he also suffered an injury, so the fight was postponed.

@Baofeng  You're right; it looks like it won't happen this year, probably early next year. Since it's a championship fight, Jerwin has no choice but to wait until it finally takes place. But don't worry, guys, there's still a fight between Inoue and Tapales before the year ends, so that should be enough to entertain us in the last month of the year.

I don't understand though that they are so sloppy to let this happen, I mean it's only sparring, and why his sparring partner targeted his body that much to cause any injury? Doesn't make sense. Of course, they train hard 100% every day in the gym, but if this kind of injuries can be avoided in preparation of the fight, the better.

I can't call that "ONLY" sparring and being sloppy. Didn't you know that in Japan, boxers are giving their very best even at sparring or just a simple day workout so that in the actual boxing, their body will only be used to moving the way they used to be in training and even more boost? The fact that they got injured while sparring means they are actually taking that sparring seriously and not taking it lightly.

That's the reason why even Takuma's brother, Naoya Inoue, also got injured during his preparation against Stephen Fulton.

As per the report, it's a rib injury therefore he might push his body aggressively on that training and not just he just want to test his endurance.

I understand that, but @Jating does have a point. Boxing is pure entertainment, and it's very frustrating to know that the fight you've been eagerly anticipating is postponed. While it's normal for postponements to occur, boxers should take extra care to ensure that the fight happens as scheduled. I somewhat consider it a bit of carelessness. After all, it's a sparring fight, not a real one, so they shouldn't be giving it their all. If other boxers can avoid injuries during training, it's definitely doable, so why does it keep happenned to both brothers?

It's an advantage for Jerwin Ancajas too to fully prepared for the fight. He should be much in condition on the day of the fight unlike Takuma who came from injury even after several weeks or months of recovery period.

I don't think so. Both fighters have had ample time to train before the fight, and with this recent report, Takome might take some time to rest, but it doesn't mean they'll fight right away once he's okay. There's still another period to ensure his body is at 100%. If having more time to prepare was such an advantage, why wasn't Fulton able to capitalize on that against Inoue?
699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 29, 2023, 02:15:23 AM

Will be interesting though for Francis vs Joshua. I think that will be an even 50/50 fight or maybe Francis will have a puncher's chance as Joshua doesn't have the chin and recuperation of a Tyson Fury.

I think he humiliated Fury in this fight and after this fight, the boxing world will take Ngannou seriously, imagine doing this to an undefeated World and Lineal champion in your first boxing fight, Ngannou on his word can take this shit.
Whether he goes back to boxing or MMA he will be respected and feared because he has just shown how good he is in boxing and how he paced himself, he just opened doors to some MMA to take boxing as an alternative and there's a lot of money and freedom on boxing than on MMA.

The outcome was really interesting. I believe Ngannou could've won that fight if he hadn't run out of gas in the later rounds. It's pretty clear he gassed out since he was literally mouth-breathing. But, that was a solid performance from him. He didn't wear himself out; he was searching for an opportunity to knock out Fury. Ngannou scored a knockdown in the first round, but you know, Fury's the kind of boxer who can get back up even after a knockdown, like he did against Wilder. Just like the outcome of that specific fight, he still came out on top in the end.

Ngannou definitely has potential in boxing. The fact that he lasted through a long battle shows that he's on par with Fury. I like it, and I think we all deserve a rematch, don't you think?
700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - December or January in Saudi Arabia on: October 28, 2023, 04:11:00 PM
no one would really believe Ngannou to win this while the odds obviously favor Fury 1.05 vs Ngannou 8.20. bookmaker already decides who wins the fight. [........]

Yes, that odds was set by boomakers which is very high for Ngannou , and to think Ngannou would have a x8.20 odds, that's too attractive but who would dare to bet on that? This is an interesting fight but this isn't the right thread for such discussion, lets bring that discussion to Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28  ... Smiley
