701  Other / Meta / Re: How can I become a staff here? on: March 12, 2015, 02:43:05 PM
What I ask is as the subject stated. How much trust does we need? How many post before required?
I can be a staff here by working on the works of deleting SPAM posts here for free (however my rank is still low in the forum). What is the minimum requirements?

As staff member you need to be a valued member, who really ads value to the community. Simply reporting posts and ranking up isn't enough, you really need to bring something to the table Smiley Don't underestimate the time you have to spend being a staff member  Shocked

IMO
In it sucks to be a POW Coin News

Litecoin marketcap is only ~20 million from where it was in Nov 1,2013 .
It has ~ 6 months before it rewards halves from 50 to 25.
Which means at best it will be half as profitable, what will be interesting is what happens if it falls below a 50 million marketcap before that time, odds are it will and then it will plummet.

When that plummet hits litecoin, its value will drop below $1 .
That is when Zeit's Price will begin to skyrocket, and everyone that has been selling zeitcoins for worthless litecoins , are going to be in for a real awakening. LOL  Cheesy

 Cool

I wish I'd share your optimistic view, but you seem to be a little biased Wink There are litterally 100's of coins who can take over LTC, why do you think it would be ZEIT. I hope so too, but where do you base it on Smiley

Find yourself a good hypnotist, I hear regression therapy can work wonders in cases of lost memory  Cheesy
Seriously though, I looks like your memory block is induced by panic/fear that you gonna lose the BTC, the more you try to force the memory the less likely you are to succeed. The memory of you typing in the new password can't be a complete blank, it's somewhere inside your brain and you probably can get to it if you relax. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip, I still have a bit of hope left that it will surface. Yet the only options are a typo or not saving of my random password, I hope the first. I will use one of the servvices as soon as I have some time to extract the data needed from wallet file. If it doesnt help I will just have to wait untill the cracking power is significantly more Sad
705  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Password Recovery (Only doing by request) on: March 11, 2015, 05:51:07 PM
I have a wallet.dat file with 5 btc stored. I think I've made a typo with my passphrase, can you help me. I have a pretty good idea what the password should be, it's either 30 or 21 characters long, I have 2 options of what it should be, without the typo offcourse, hope you can help!
Can provide proof that they are my bitcoin, since I transferred them from my original wallet, of which I still have the password and private keys.
706  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BIG Problem, can't acces my cold wallet.dat file on: March 11, 2015, 05:45:35 PM
if u still have the wallet file. its possible to recover it by a professional

I have the wallet file offcourse, and I see my 5 btc Smiley. How exactly, talked to multiple people, they all say it would take decades with brute force if you don't have a clue of the password and it's totally random, maybe you know something or someone?

708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Encrypted wallet.dat, lost password, any solutions? on: March 11, 2015, 11:39:18 AM
Hello,

I'd just like to add a recommendation for http://www.walletrecoveryservices.com/ as a way of possibly recovering a lost password.

I'm brand new to Bitcoin and with my very first transaction had incorrectly written down my password!!!

Dave at walletrecoveryservices.com managed to recover my password with only the information of what I originally thought my password was.

He charges 20% of the wallet amount (not much in my case) and was totally trustworthy. With all the stories around hacking and dodgy activities flying around, it was nice to have this experience when just getting started.

So thanks Dave  Grin

I think I need his services too, can't recover my 5 btc Sad
709  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BIG Problem, can't acces my cold wallet.dat file on: March 11, 2015, 11:29:21 AM
It seems my encryption software let me down, about one month ago I placed 5 btc into cold storage, by generating a wallet.dat with my client while not on internet. I changed the password, and saved this to my file with all my passwords.

Do you have a backup before this? Do you remember the old password?

I can't find the password back, so it seems it hasn't been saved Sad

Do you remember anything about the password? If so, try this thread -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=85495.0

I thought, well maybe I did use one of my generic passwords, sadly no. Tried everything, recovered files with all sorts of tools, even thought I got lucky by funding a recent wordpad file with a random password, but sadly not the right one...

I'm out of options... But it seems to happen daily that people get robbed out of their well encrypted hotwallets, so it must be possible to recover my 5 btc. Does anyone know what to do, or know anyone who knows what to do?

Much appreciated!

If someone gets robbed out of a well encrypted wallet its usually because they unknowingly installed a trojan/key logger.

Thanks for your help, It's purely the passphrace for my client, and no I don't have a back up. I have a back up offcourse, but because my password somehow didn't save in my regular file, my back doesn't have it too Sad
710  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BIG Problem, can't acces my cold wallet.dat file on: March 11, 2015, 11:27:38 AM
IF your password isn't too long / you remember anything about your password, you still can try use bruteforce
Check here for more info : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170694.0

Or you can try some service to hack your wallet.dat, but they will take 10% fee Sad
Check here for more info : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=717334.0

Thanks for all the help, 10% sounds fair too me, cost alot of power I guess Smiley
711  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2015 Kialara Labyrinth: Production Update on: March 11, 2015, 07:55:00 AM
Max,

Can you provide perhaps a video of how one might redeem their kialara?

Given there is metal and glass I suspect there might be a possibility of getting yourself cut if the person doing it isn't properly prepared.

Safety first.  Smiley

BTW I received my Kialara's and I am very impressed with them.

Leaving feedback now.

Aloha,

Smoothie

Edit: Sorry if you already answered this or provided info on this already.

Since it's only 0.1 btc, I would find it a waste to open the kialara. But it will come in handy for some people Smiley

715  Local / Markt / Re: Retro ★ Game ★ Trading ★ Selling ★ NL on: March 10, 2015, 06:04:28 AM

716  Local / Markt / Re: Retro ★ Game ★ Trading ★ Selling ★ NL on: March 10, 2015, 06:03:33 AM

Any dumbasses who actually go for this scheme, after seeing what happened to hashie, lunamine, gaw, and the 100s of other ponzis beforehand seriously have something messed up in their brain.

I don't get it. How do people keep getting suckered?

looks like the old quote theres a sucker born everyday is true. i 100% agree with you. some people just try anything for profits and it never works out

It NEVER works out, people made tons of money with ltcgear and pbmining, yet the early birds, everyone else was fucked, so it NEVER works out, isn't exactly accurate Wink
718  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [CLOSED][GROUP BUY][EU] Kialara Physical Bitcoin 2014/2015 [ROUND 2] on: March 10, 2015, 06:00:56 AM
Well, the package has been sent with USPS International Express so it should be here at the end of the week! I can't wait to receive it and ship the Kialara to every single one of you. Grin

Happy happy joy joy, but in all seriousness, that took a damn long time  Shocked

Hope the wait was worth it, but seeing those pictures says it all:)
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Pumping Group on: March 09, 2015, 01:15:57 PM
Welcome.
At the beginning i want to match that i looking only for ppl interested in this kind of group. If you are not, please dont spam.
I was member of 2 pumping groups, but leaders didnt meet my expecations.
My group was created 1 month ago. We have 10 organized and enthusiastic people who want to earn money.
Permanent membership cost 1 BTC. Its a lot, duo to profits that we can make.
We have active irc.
For more informations feel free to ask on private message.
Peace!

This is very tricky indeed, how do you plan the pumps? Too many pump groups admins buy in waaaaaaay before the pumpgroup can, and dump waaaaaaaaaay before the target, admins profits and only the very very fast win.

The only solution to this trust issue is letting the coin be choosen by the pumpgroup, without any interference in a democratic way, which is very hard to accomplish. To any wishing to learn more about pump&dumps for free Wink --> check out https://twitter.com/PumpDumpTracker

His lists are still private atm, but he will make them public as soon as the quality is sufficient Smiley
720  Other / Off-topic / Re: What continent are you from? on: March 09, 2015, 01:11:19 PM
who cares where we're from.  all the users here choose to read the english section.  there are other local sections on the forum if you did not know

Why so negative? I for one find it very interesting to see in the poll the userbase of Bitcoin. Also the fact that Africa has zero is significant, it just comes to show how undevelopped the infrastructure there is, while the biggest value of bitcoin is for people in third world countries with no solid fiat system....
