Boston -8.5 + Rockets +6.5 + Suns -12.5 + Portland +5.

702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You must have a source on: December 17, 2023, 11:59:59 PM
Long term hodling is not all about having a smooth journey all throughout. There are times that you get tempted to sell earlier because you need funds so badly in order to survive from daily life's struggles. But if you have a good and decent job that pays well, wherein you are provided with a consistent flow of income, then you can grow more your investment by not selling at earlier and a lower price. That is why having a stable source of income is very crucial.

For those who are planning to invest and do long term hodling without a stable job, think a lot of times. Still, you won't be successful with that. Find a decent job first that generates a sustainable income, that way you can also invest at the same time and see it growing through long term hodling.
703  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc dump to 39600 on: December 17, 2023, 11:46:05 PM
Btc broke 42200 support
Now the target is 39600
If you have been here in the market for a longer time, you will notice that price fluctuations do happen any time and it's normal for a volatile market like crypto. Bitcoin price will recover eventually, and right now the price of bitcoin is currently at $41k so that's still high if  we analyze it deeply. However, if bitcoin price drops badly, we should still not worry because it could be a new opportunity for others to enter the market at a lower price. We just have to stay patient and try not to be tempted from panic selling, otherwise we will see our investments end up falling and lose our capital.
704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Follow the technique if you have zero trading knowledge in crypto on: December 17, 2023, 11:25:14 PM
If you have zero knowledge in trading, then you wouldn't be able to know even how to start trading. Once you struggle on your first trades, most likely it will also end up as a failure, and you will definitely lose your capital.

But when you say you have only prior knowledge in trading and still gaining experience how to make a successful trades, most likely there are still chances to make your future trades profitable. That is, if you also learn from your first mistakes and losses in trading.

Trading needs skills and strategies to make it work and succeed. That's why you have to work on it everytime you decide to trade, so that the rate of chance to succeed will continue to grow and increase.
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You will burn on: December 17, 2023, 09:21:17 PM
You will only get burned if you prioritize altcoins over bitcoin. But if you are wise in your investment and you maximize bitcoin investment over other shit coins or altcoins, then you have nothing to worry because in the end, you will still be more profitable with bitcoin even without the presence of altcoins. Altcoins are just a pump and dump scheme, so you can't trust majority of them that they will sustain their value for long.

However, if you invest into altcoins for short term and with an amount that you are comfortable losing, then most likely that will not create problems for you. There will only be problems if you focus on altcoins because of their too good to be true promises that are most of the time fails in the end. So always invest wit caution and always stick to bitcoin.

707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: December 17, 2023, 11:03:05 AM
In the last game, I also have TNT to win by 11+, actually had some parlay with Meralco with the same winning margin, so wish me luck for this risky bet.

Risky indeed but with the chemistry issue as the Beermen will be parading a new import, i think there's a chance that TNT would win with that margin. As for me i am just betting simply for TNT to win here, risky bet too as SMB's confodence is high following their win the other night against Ginebra Kings.

TNT -1.5 @1.89 vs Beermen

Good luck to us.

edit: seems no chemistry issue for SMB tonight as their new import is not yet player, still Aska as SMB's import for now.

That's still a good bet though as obviously RHJ is way better than Aska. I like that -1.5, and it seems like this would be a close game. TNT is leading at the moment but just a single margin.

It's gonna be fun since Romeo and Castro were playing on their respective teams. Now, the TNT would have a good point guard which will make the ball movement better, and it will be import vs import and as well know, it's RHJ would win most of the time.

I'm enjoying the game but i like to see TNT to take control of this game early.

By the way, what happen to the Bolts vs Converge game, it was a very clear cover already but it looks like Bolts allow the Converge to come back in the 4th quarter. A once almost 30 points lead end up a 6 points win only, it was very disappointing to the bettors as for sure they were already expecting an easy win.

Though it looks quetionable but I don't mind questioning it already since I've seen that many times. If this starts on a conversation about rigging a game, let's cut that now. Let's just say we bet on the wrong side, don't worry there's still the current game, we'll bounce back.

Damn, I noticed something, Trollana is already with the SMB! (hopefully he'll mess up the chemistry)
708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you confident betting on handicap for heavy favorites or heavy underdog? on: December 17, 2023, 08:48:58 AM
Not all the time though, most of the time maybe, because when it's a high spread on the favorites, it normally tells that they will likely win in the game. If we can get some statistics on that, we can see the real picture if it would work backing a high spread favorite all the time is effective.

Everyone of us here have different ways in analyzing a game, we may use the same tool or information but the outcome or interpretation could be different, so it's still up to a gambler's perspective.

Anyway, I suggest that you add a poll, maybe it's clearer if we could also vote just to see the percentages.
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: December 17, 2023, 08:04:15 AM
Two games upcoming.

3;00 PM sched.

Converge (+9.5) vs Meralco (+9.5)

It's automatic, I leaned on the Meralco on this one with the spread.
I was watching from unathorized stream but it keeps getting take down, so no choice but to just monitor on the score. maybe it's possible to watch it on local tv but since I'm quite busy with my online job now, I could not watch it.

6: 15 PM sched

TNT (+1.5) vs SMB (-1.5)

I think this is a good chance to bet on TN as it was reported that SMB will be bringing a new import today. With that, we can expect some chemistry problem, and I think RHJ would be able to take advantage on that.

In the last game, I also have TNT to win by 11+, actually had some parlay with Meralco with the same winning margin, so wish me luck for this risky bet.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 17, 2023, 07:27:35 AM
I am saying all this because I think the NBA should also give credit to the people who started it all and not to the one who initiated the hurt even though the holding of Jersey is not that high I think Draymond just got irritated about it but one thing is for sure Draymond Green didn't initiates all of it,

Draymond had that bad reputation already so he was targeted, and the fact that he could eaisly react, do some stupid things, I think he has been a part of the startegy of their opponents in order to win. Yes, there are players who started to provoke Draymond in a safest way because they know how high tempered he is, but you know man, there's this what we called as "acting skills", in the NBA, Draymond doesn't have that, he's so real.

Anyway, I'm watching the Clips vs Knicks now and had pull the trigger for the live bet. I had the Clips at -115. now, I hope the Knicks will be tired and won't be able to come back.

Big win, you are courageous enough to take -11.5 when the pre game spread was already high. You deserve the win though, it was a 22 points victory for the home team and that was another easy win.

Thanks!... I enjoyed watching the game, there was never a nervous moment after I put that bet as Clippers were really strong in dominating the game. Now, I can confidently trust the Clippers as they have found a way to make their trio worked, as what I have noticed, Leonard was the biggest contributor in the recent games and good things happened.

@ralle14... Congrats on the Dallas win, nick pick!

Luka had a triple double ( 40 points , 10 assists, and 12 rebounds).
When Luka is playing like that, no chance for there opponent to win, so i guess that was easy.

Anyway, I'm watching the Clips vs Knicks now and had pull the trigger for the live bet. I had the Clips at -115. now, I hope the Knicks will be tired and won't be able to come back.
713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know when to stop on: December 16, 2023, 10:59:36 PM
It's best to engage in trading when you actually know when to start trading and when to stop trading. There's always choices provided for you but you should only make the best choice and  reevaluate if that decision is reasonable or not. As far is trading is concerned, everyone who trades has the greed to earn money but not everyone is given the opportunity to make profits. If you see it consistently happening, then it's better to stop trading to avoid future losses as well.

However, not all those who kept failing in trading has the courage to finally stop trading. Some still continue to trade and chase for bigger profits even if it means additional losses on his part.
714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best piece of advice to anyone going into bitcoin on: December 16, 2023, 08:35:55 PM
Buy a little bit of bitcoin every week don't care if it's a $1, $5, $10, $100, figure out what you can afford every week and buy it, get rid of unnecessary expenses or whatever you can think of getting rid of and spend it on bitcoin
5 to 10 years if you buy some every week you will be a multi millionaire
Good advice but incomplete, how do you want someone to accumulate Bitcoin with $1 or $5 with the present insanely high transaction fee? Right now it costs $10 to send Bitcoin to your wallet, it means the beginner need to save up their money first to a certain amount, like $100 before they can accumulate which is not encourage for me.

Unless they are willing to learn about Bitcoin Lightening Network first which still isn't encouraging for newbies as they will feel its too complicated.

This is not really applicable while transactions fees is high because the capital you've said is even lesser than it's transactions fees so definitely not going to be possible. But if you do it monthly, you can save from your transaction fees and you can maximize your purchasing amount. Buying does not matter whether it takes place monthly or twice monthly, consistency is what matters the most.

While DCA is a good and proven strategy, you can still chose to invest all as long as it's bitcoin and your intention is to hold it longer for bigger and more satisfying future profits.
715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll! on: December 16, 2023, 01:46:45 PM
I know there are bettors here who dream of investing in sports betting and hoping to consistently make money from it.

So, I'd like to ask the following questions:

1. How much bankroll can you afford to start with?

2. With your bankroll, how much expected profit do you anticipate in a year?

3. Will you be content with your profit? If not, have you considered increasing your bankroll, even if you cannot afford it?

I never really think of gambling as me having a bankroll to play with. I just make wagers appropriately for the event in order to increase my entertainment value. Sometimes that might be a lot or sometimes that might be a small amount, but I never have a specific pot to gamble away that I’ve set aside for it. That almost seems forced.

By mentioning entertainment value, that means you are only betting on few games that you could watch? Well, if that's what you're into, then I guess it's good since after all, we all want to be entertain watching our favorite sports, betting is just adding some thrill unto it but it's not for everyone if the topic is about making profit in the long run.

Most gamblers probably sees bankroll as a per session bankroll, what I'm bringing up on this topic is a bankroll for long term.

Perhaps there are sports bettors out there who treat their bankroll like that.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I ask for refund if casino game has bugs? on: December 16, 2023, 12:24:21 PM
Hello guys, I have heard many stories when person was playing casino games, for example person was playing slots and managed to win a huge jackpot, 100 thousand or up to a million but casino didn't give him his winning because they said slot had bugs and they can't give away money because person won through a buggy slots.
I have never seen a case when casino called player for a refund because slot had bugs. What happens if you think that slot has bugs and that's why you lose? If we follow logic, since casino can deny your winning because they think that game has bugs, you should have right to ask for slots inspect if you lose a lot. Doesn't this make sense? I think it makes but I want to know if you had similar experience or if something similar has happened in history ever.

All the edge was already on them including this "technical problem edge". The matter you brought was when there's a bug that would cost them money they'll void the bets but if they win despite the bugs, they won't tell their gamblers. That's how non reputable casinos work, so I suggest that you look and play on a reputable casinos as their reputation cost more than a million dollars and this bug problem could ruin their reputation too, so they won't allow that to happen.
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 16, 2023, 11:21:27 AM
Good luck @danherbias07, that's a lot of bet there.

I guess I'll be tailing you but not all of your bets. I'm interested on Clippers and Miami Heat spread but I will follow the normal spread, which I would take both at -5 against their respective opponents.

Knicks was coming from a big win at Phoenix, but they'll play a back to back game against a well oiled team that could play good defense, so I doubt Brunson could be able to deliver the same impressive performance in Phoenix.
718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Andre August - December 15th in Florida on: December 16, 2023, 07:34:53 AM
You gotta give props to Jake Paul when they’re due. He knocked that Andre dude out in the first round with a wicked uppercut. Even the clip made it seem like there wasn’t much hype in the building but you have to consider this mission accomplished if you’re Jake Paul. A brutal knockout on a real boxer… That’s what people said he couldn’t do…

That was a legit KO, and a good win for him.

However, August ain't really at par with the boxing skills of Jake Paul as bookies knows Jake Paul gonna win the fight.
As for the betting odds, you can tell that the winner was the heavy favorite.

Quote
Jake Paul -600   Andre August +430

Maybe it's time for a rematch against Fury was Paul that time when he lose via SD was a slight underdog, maybe if he could beat Fury in a rematch, we can tell that he really has improve a lot as a boxer.
719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: December 16, 2023, 06:53:22 AM
SMB vs Ginebra now live.

I thought SMB is gonna bring a new import in this game but I see it was still  Aska who's playing, probably after this game. SMB is having a lead now by 7 points, I think it's time for us to live bet now as on pregame odds, Ginebra was the favorite.

As for my bet here, I didn't bet on the spread, instead I look on the total and I have under 192.50. GL!

As per report, their new import will play on their next game which is this Sunday as they are still working on their new import's paper works.

Just surprising for me that they won the game last night as i thought that it's gonna be an easy work for Ginebra as they have an edge on the frontline but Cruz and Chris Ross didn't let their fans down as they fought through that Ginebra's comback.

Nevertheless, congrats on your win kabayan as the game's score was under 192.50.

Easy under. Usually when Ginebra and Magnolia are playing regardless of their opponents, you can expect an under. Aska 10 points in the game is one of the major reasons why the SMB will replace him, he ain't a kind of import that is suitable for SMB as this team is a championship team, and now that they miss the service of JMF, it's more important for them to ensure that they'll get a productive import, someone that could be as good as RHJ or even close to his level.
720  Economy / Economics / Re: Food for thought on: December 15, 2023, 11:59:58 PM
Living life is not all about the present but you should also live for your future, that is thinking for long term, if you can still keep your job forever or you need some alternatives that will also provide you a source of income. That's why having another source of income like establishing your own business while you are still working would be a great idea, that will give you double benefits in time. The important thing is you start building on it, with courage and determination, you will make a good reward that will create positive changes in your life.

This is not just a sort of plan but we should start adopting mindset like this. Learn to be resourceful as much as we could. In time, we will build financial freedom and live our life at its best.
