701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible Gambling Practices Most People Ignore and Sleep on on: January 31, 2024, 11:43:07 AM

3. Financial Management
Wisely managing your funds will make a huge impact on your gambling journey. It can dictate whether you will be bankrupt, have pile of debts, or go on with your life comfortably or even more comfortable depending on how you will make choices. Being a responsible gambler means handling your finances in a smart manner because responsible gambling has a deep connection and relation with how you spend your funds. You must strategize on how you will make your money grow if your main goal is to profit. It isn't enough that you have a goal. You should have an organized and strategic plan to achieve your aim. Additionally, you must know how to prevent yourself from being subjected to financial pitfalls such as loans and credit just to gamble. Maintaining control is your top priority. You should know that is a vital move to separate your gambling fund to your personal and necessary expenses.

This is for me the most important discipline that gamblers should take up, I'm guilty of this and I regret it because I lose a lot of money by not disciplining myself on how to manage my finances and bankroll.
Financial management, and properly managing your bankroll are two of the most important things that gamblers should learn if they don't want to suffer from addiction.
This is not an easy task because we are always tempted to use all our bankroll or add more money that is beyond our allocation, this is where the majority of gamblers fail and they fail miserably because the temptation to play bet more within our capacity is just too high.
The only way we could reach proper financial and bankroll management is to limit our time and pause from time to time so we can think clearly and stop being tempted to abuse our bankroll.

Good day guys, how is the gambling industry helping you this period?

However I just want to say that in the game world gamblers are always there to bet and the important thing here is when a gambler can not risk he also can not win, true or false?

That's false if you're lucky you can still win even if you bet only a small amount I have seen gamblers who are not risk takers but taking home huge amounts that's because it's their lucky day, this is what other gamblers believe so they can justify betting more and taking risks,

Quote
Many might still believe that a gamblers who's just gambling at the first day might end up winning w huge amount of money that he wasn't expecting but the truth is that as long as you stake on bet you have already risk your money, be it big or small.
Gamblers should never be influenced by the sayings and advice coming from players, they should play at their phase but get the right guidance on what gambling is and what's not, many become addicted to gambling because of the bad influence coming from people who think that they know everything about gambling and can lead you to more winnings.
Gambling for the first time should be easy, with no pressure coming from any source be it from your peers or so-called expert gamblers you have to look for enjoyment first before profit.
703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: O’Shaquie Foster vs. Abraham Nova WBC World SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT Feb 16 on: January 29, 2024, 03:59:12 PM
O'Shaquie Foster vs. Abraham Nova
Interestingly O'Shaquie Foster vs. Abraham both are currently boxers on the rise, this is full of surprises and real challenges for boxing lovers and gamblers. I saw in one of O'Shaquie's sources that he wants to prove to the world that he is the best junior lightweight boxer, Whether O'Shaquie's statement is one of arrogance, nevertheless we all wish the two the best when they meet in the ring.

However, Foster has a history in a boxing career (21-2, 10 KOs) while Nova has a history (23-1, 16 KOs) in a boxing career.

Both fighters had words that got their fans excited.
For example Nova's throw.
Quote
"My team and I have got this opportunity to bring home the world title," said Nova. “You know what I bring, and you know about me. Don't be afraid, there is no doubt.”

In the current situation and my rating for both boxing results will end with points [5] DRAW.

This is a puncher versus puncher scenario, Foster is a strong favorite here if we are going to base this on both fighters' performances, Foster's last loss was way back in 2016 and this was via Unanimous decision while Abraham Nova was knocked out by Robeisy Ramirez in 2022 and Foster has good movements in the ring he moves like Mayweather and a good counter puncher.

Between the two Nova's chin is questionable here is the video of Nova getting mauled by

704  Economy / Gambling discussion / O’Shaquie Foster vs. Abraham Nova WBC World SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT Feb 16 on: January 29, 2024, 02:53:32 PM

O’ShaquieFoster 21-2-0 will meet Abraham Nova 23-1-0 for WBC World SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT  Feb 16 at Madison Square New York City, they may not be popular boxers in that division like Emmanuel Navarette or Gervonta Davis, or Haney but these two can be considered as tough fighters in that division and we have a making of a great fight here as both fighters are heavy hitter so this fight is likely to end in knock out and it could go either way it depends on who can hit the hardest first.

Here are the highlights of both fighters

705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [A POLL] Without Chances of Making Money, Will you still be gambling? on: January 29, 2024, 12:24:02 PM
So far, this is the result of the poll, reflecting the players' goals when they gamble. Gamblers understand the definition of gambling: it's staking or betting your money in the hope that you'll receive something in return if you get lucky. It's demoralizing to play on a platform where your chances of winning are zero. Even when the odds are one in a million, you still want to have a chance. Given two similar platforms, the platform that provides chances to win will receive more votes, as reflected in this poll.
I'm also surprised that there are votes to option 1 but we all have different preferences when it comes to betting.

Quote
Oh yes, I will be happy spending my money, gambling for nothing but fun.   - 9 (25%)
Hell no, why would I waste my money doing something that has no chance of bringing me money back in return?   - 27 (75%)

706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are every activities/competitions with stake known to be gambling? on: January 29, 2024, 09:49:26 AM
Me: Gambling is a game of chances to winning or loosing where stakes are involved. It is an activity of personal desires to decide if you derives chasing after profits or catching funs.

If there's money involved and you are putting your money on the line to bet it's called gambling whether you're doing this to make money or out of entertainment

Quote
However you tends to define gambling, it would be incomplete if stakes, risks, and challenging activities (competitions) are not mentioned.

You can defined it your way but my interest is to understand this>>> Are sports games or related competitive activities which stakes are involved between both sides or teams also gambling?
Remember, there would be a winner to be rewarded and a looser to lost the stakes.
If there is no money involved and teams are vying for pride, prestige, and honor then it is called competition, on sports the best teams who excel based on their performance are the ones that are honored I consider this as vying for excellence, but if you are a spectator and you are betting your money in any one of the team then its called gambling, there is a big difference, you cannot call a basketball league as a gambling platform because they are vying for physical excellence and not only for money, money is just an incentive for defeating the other team
707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: lucky check club lottery on: January 29, 2024, 04:29:20 AM
Just to be clear, you are saying that your site started accepting crypto as a payment method last month but no one has used that payment method yet?

your issue could be the lack of marketing or that your website is newly launched, I mean, it is my first time seeing your website. you might want to invest in advertising. but just to be clear just because you invest in advertising does not mean your website will start getting payments through crypto.

Another thing is the lack of social media handles this is very important if I want to join a platform like this, I would like to check the activity on their social media and how good they are at interacting with their users, there is no Telegram channel, no Twitter account, no Facebook popular media that developers can use to interact with their users, chat widget is ok but we all know that most of the time the platform uses a bot to answers questions.
Users do not want automated platforms, be interactive with your users, users want their concerns and issues addressed promptly.
Two proven things that will build the reputation of gambling platforms are interaction and massive marketing, if a developer fails to do this gamblers will ignore your platform.
708  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: January 28, 2024, 04:35:16 PM
.

A gambler who has a steady and regular income can have the possibility of winning because his gambling habit can not affect his personal obligations as a man even if he's an addict because being addicted to gambling doesn't actually implies that one will eventually stake all his money on bets but rather someone who plays gambling frequently. By having a steady income, he can take care of other life responsibilities without being affected by his gambling activities and moreover, someone who have a stable income can be aiming to win higher amount in his bets and might be lucky of winning one day and use the money to establish an investment.

Your thoughts on this

It's very important because there is no pressure to win, the money you're using to bet must be allocated from your income because if it comes from a loan or from your savings you will chase your losses, and this is what gamblers should avoid.
There are two primary rules in gambling, never gamble with money that you cannot afford to lose, and never chase your losses, by not having an income you are breaking these two rules in responsible gambling.
If you do not have a job or steady income never take a loan and never gamble, find something to keep you busy so you will not get the urge to gamble or find a job first before you gamble.
Gambling is risky because it involves money and the money that you're going to use should be excess money.
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rolando Romero-Isaac Cruz to meet on March 30 in Las Vegas. on: January 28, 2024, 03:51:24 PM
I'm surprise that no one has votted for Romero here to win despite he is the defending. It seems people are not convince that he is deserving to be a champion. Isaac Cruz here the pitbull is very hungry for a win, his Legit loss (recent) came from Tank Davis which is a superstar, and it was easy and easy win for Davis, so Cruz had proven he can go toe to toe againts a champion.

If we compare Rolly and Tank Davis, it's pretty obvious that Davis is more quality as a champion, so I understand now why everyone was rooting for Isaac Cruz to win the fight. And even in the betting odds are quite surprising, Cruz is the heavy favorite.

Quote
Rolando Romero 2.50
Draw 17
Isaac Cruz 1.53

I think with Rolly's size and reach he could KO Cruz, it depends on how he will utilize this advantage knowing his opponent is a much-experienced fighter. Both came out from the loss of Tank, I think they learned a lot from that fight emotionally and improved their fighting skills.

Cruz winning this fight we might be seeing a unified fight again maybe Browny Matias or Teo. Whoever wins I think.

It was not a factor when he fought Tank Davis he had a long reach and he boasted that he could beat Tank with his size but look at what happened Tank just humiliated him and knocked him out, the same thing happened against Barosso, he has the height, the reach, the age, the power but unfortunately he had a very weak chin and that causes him trouble and same thing will happen here if he cannot contain the Pitbull.
It's interesting to see what strategy Romero will employ to stop Pitbull Cruz, Tank had a hard time stopping the Pitbull's attack the big suspect here is Romero's glass chin.
Isaac will go for it, Romero must keep it from being exposed, it's two months of training its interesting to see too if Romero will thrashtalk Pitbull the way he thrashtalk Tank Davis.

711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 28, 2024, 01:54:46 PM
Hey, guys! Are any of you emotional gamblers who often lose because you can't control what you feel? When you lose, do you tend to double your bets or chase your losses, driven by a pride that can't accept defeat? Do you consider this a problem? If so, has anyone here been able to solve this kind of problem themselves, and if yes, how did you do it?
I once liked that and it cost me a lot of money I was depressed for a week thinking about what had gone wrong, I knew that it was pride that I kept chasing my losses thinking that it was still possible to recover, but in gambling, if you keep trying to win, winnings becomes illusive, I have solved it by taking a vacation from gambling and doing a job where I cannot go online for a long period and that time I realized that if I am going to go back to gamble I have to control my urge or I will commit the same mistakes over and over again.

Quote
That's why I shared it here; I feel that some of you may experience the same challenges, and I'd love to hear your ideas or experiences on how to win this battle so we can enjoy gambling.
We are all different in our approach, my approach to how to be a better gambler could be different from yours, you need to take what approach will work for you, my approach is by taking a job that will limit my time from gambling, I came to realize the mistakes I made when I was gambling, so when I came back from gambling I become a better gambler.
712  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎰 What's Your Top Pick for Crypto Casinos in 2024? Share & Discover Hidden Gems on: January 28, 2024, 10:56:43 AM

This list is bias. Aside from Askgambler, The rest is unknown to me so all the casino listed as top with the respective websites doesn’t make sense.

For me, In able to become on top is the casino offers a huge budget for promotions and giveaways since all casino offers the same game from game providers. Duelbits is one of the reputable casino here that offers a very generous reward for all their promotions especially the Christmas giveaways and sportsbook odds boost.

My pick is not bias because I’m promoting them through my signature but rather due to my experience on playing in this casino for a long time.

I share the same thoughts as you. Many names on the list are unknown to the community as they don't even have a marketing campaign here or on other forums or platforms. I have never encountered any of them, even if they've existed for a long time. It is part of being the best to brand themselves and create a platform where they can interact with the gambling community.

Bets.io and Cloudbet are already present, but the others are either not here or not noticeable due to a lack of campaign. If we look at one of the largest communities of gamblers, Stake and Duelbits are very visible and they have earned the respect of the gambling industry.
713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: January 28, 2024, 09:49:48 AM

The urge this man felt to gamble was so high, that he didn't even measure the consequences of leaving two 2 years old kids at home alone to gamble at a local casino for 5 hours straightforward. Imagine the state of mind of this man to give more value to his gambling session than to the lives of his two young kids who could need him anytime.

Luckly there was an attentive neighboor to call the police, otherwise the dangerous dog or any other potential threat on the streets could have severely harmed those kids.

This is unthinkable. There is a criminal liability in this act. The father is not in his right mind to leave his two-year-old kids alone. I have seen outrageous acts committed by addicted gamblers, but a father leaving his two-year-old children alone while he is gambling is just outrageous.

He is not in his right mind; his gambling addiction clouds his mind. The father should be charged or rehabilitated before he is given parental authority over his children.

If the children are harmed I don't know if his conscience can bear this, this is traumatic for the children and a bad example for the community, the father needs immediate help in addressing his addiction, he does not know what is right and what is wrong, He is one example of the danger of gambling addiction, you can harm your family and you think its not your fault

714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 27, 2024, 03:54:30 PM

However, I'm wondering if addiction can make someone become aggressive to the point of leading to domestic violence. Has there been any known case of it happening? Lets know what you have to say.

Gambling addiction can lead to domestic violence and it is one of the causes of divorce, separation, and broken families, the characters of those addicted to gambling are prone to anger and hurting their partners they are hard-headed and easily annoyed especially if they cannot sustain their addiction.
I read a lot of stories about those addicted to gambling blaming their family for their losses and for the money they spend on the family instead of using it to their addiction.
All the addicted gamblers I've encountered are very sensitive, easily get into a fight and they bring their anger from their losses inside their home, gambling addiction if not handled correctly can lead to domestic violence that can lead to separation of the family.
So if you want an intact family don't get addicted to gambling.

715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rolando Romero-Isaac Cruz to meet on March 30 in Las Vegas. on: January 27, 2024, 02:12:02 PM
Rolly is in trouble again, Pitball Cruz is so hard to tame he will have to work double time to tame the Pitbull considering that his last fight against Barroso was not that good he almost lost this fight and Barosso is an aging fighter, Rolly Romero should upgrade his defense, Cruz is the kind of fighter that will throw everything but the kitchen sink.
Romero should have accepted the Garcia fight, he could have made a lot of money from that fight I'm not saying that Isaac Cruz is better than Ryan Garcia but Romero's style is very much suited for the Pitbull, Pitbull loves opponents that keep moving forward, and Romero will be in trouble if he is not careful on how he deal with Pitbull he is one merciless Pitbull.

Agreed. It might also have been very good for the fans if Ryan Garcia would fight Isaac Cruz. Pitbull likes to move forward and King Ry has a powerful counter left hook which is a very perfect weapon for the style of his opponent.

However, on Romero vs. Cruz, it appears those who voted certainly know that Pitbull will be a more favored fighter by the oddsmakers hehe. I also disagree with you. Isaac Cruz does not throw everything but the kitchen sink. He will throw everything and the kitchen sink hehehehee.

So far on the poll I created, Isaac Cruz got all the votes it is still zero for Romero, I think this is going to be the trend if we base it on the two fighter's last two fights Isaac Cruz had the best performance although he drew against Cabrera, Cabrera was undefeated and a boxer with very good potential, compared to Romero's last fight he was almost beaten by Barosso, he was a big disappointment, he will have to stick to his hit and run tactic as he did against Barosso because Isaac knows he has a glass chin and Romero has since changed his style after getting knocked out by Gervonta but when you have a glass chin you have a liability when you are fighting in the ring.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The "loaded slots" scam on: January 27, 2024, 12:23:15 PM

It's important to emphasize that this is an outright scam. Slot machines, especially virtual ones, are based on chance alone.
So the term "loaded slot machine" does not apply at all. If you have ever seen someone believing in this myth, do your best to dispel it.
If we're going to gamble, at least we should be educated about it and do it in a healthy manner, without falling into the trap of fallacies.

A gambler worth his salt knows that this is fake and an attempt to scam people, it's not only slot we have seen so many ads that are too good to be true we have one here advertising in this forum that he has a guaranteed winning formula.
I do have winning casino crypto formula with 200% profit per month, any interest?

If this is true, why not claim the loaded slots instead of selling them? This scammer preys on newbies who are unaware of the odds on slots. If you become greedy, you will likely fall. If there are ads like that, it's better to post them in the scam section for awareness and to tag these people so they cannot harm newbies here in Bitcointalk.
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the definition of a Gambler? Do you consider yourself as a Gambler? on: January 27, 2024, 11:15:40 AM
Personally, I don't like the word Gambler tbh. And it feels more worse when someone calls someone a Gambler in the local language. I played some hands it's true and I tested many games for test purposes But I was never affected by the gamble. and I consider I am not a gambler myself. Somehow I do not feel good or something does not fit with me by this word.

What do you think about yourself and how do you want to define the word Gambler?

A dictionary defines gambling as this, if you're doing this act then you are a gambler even if you deny it or you may have a wrong definition of what gambling is, you are defined as a gambler even if gambling is not causing you problems, there are many kinds of a gambler occasional gambler and addicted gambler.

Based on your description about how you gamble you are considered an occasional gambler, an occasional gambler is someone who likely becomes addicted to gambling because he does not prioritize gambling in his life.

718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is addiction bad only when it is a problem? on: January 27, 2024, 09:09:02 AM
Addiction to gambling is not a problem for some gamblers because there are some gamblers who are addicted to gambling, but it doesn't affect the other activities of their life. They take care of their families, wear good clothes, smell nice, meet up with appointments but still cannot control the urge to gamble. It doesn't affect their life because they can afford to gamble and manage the loses they make. So, to these people addiction is not a problem. They are addicts, but because they are successful, their addiction is ignored or excused as it is not a problem.
So I am need to know, is addiction only bad when it is a problem?

Gambling addiction will always lead to problems, maybe not now but there will be a point in time when it will interfere in your life, when you say addiction, it is a strong urge to do things at any cost, one of the symptoms is chasing losses that lead to losing money and spending more time that leads to neglecting the obligation to work and family.
You cannot say you are good if you're addicted to gambling, and it is better to cure it when it's still not interfering with your family affairs and your work, because gambling addiction is a problem that's waiting to happen it can happen anytime, and when it happens every good thing in your life will crumble, so if you think that you can control your addiction it's better to hire an appointment to a professional and rehabilitate yourself for your family and work sake.
719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: January 26, 2024, 05:19:17 PM
Joshua is going to win this match, Joshua has the required experience to win this game. Let Ngannou not think that his performance against Fury is going to earn him victory over Joshua who is obsessed with coming back to the top and reclaim his belts. It's going to be a good fight no doubt about that, but I expect Joshua to knock him out.
I think most of us here think that Joshua will win, just like when Ngannou faced Fury, people thought that he has no chance but he surprise the boxing world. Now, depsite that almost an upset win by Ngannou, bookmakers are still making him as a heavy underdog, so it's up to us now to evaluete if we really believe that Ngannou really has a chance to upset Joshua on their fight.

A win for Ngannou will give him an opportunity to challenge a champion, while for AJ, he'll be back to square one again.

Though on paper this looks very predictable, but we never know what will happen in the actual fight, and since AJ is has some weakness too as evidence on his multiple losses, Ngannou might be able to exploit that.

You'll always get a surprise from a hard hitter, they only need one big punch to change the course of the fight, and Ngannou always has a chance to beat Joshua, although they both possess the power, it's the one who can take it that will win the fight, Ngannou was never been knockdown by a punch and he can take big punches, in fact in this fight he can gamble and go all out and take shots so he can deliver his shots.

That's what happened in their three losses of Joshua, his opponents did not respect his power and they knew where to hit Joshua and frustrate him, if Ngannou had done the same, Joshua would in trouble.

I hope Ngannou can surprise the world just like he did against Fury, just imagine Ngannou winning and capturing all the heavyweight title that will be for the record an amateur winning the undisputed titles, that will be boxing biggest shocker.

720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 26, 2024, 03:55:55 PM

Do you really see gambling as more of fun than a means to a financial end?
When we are young and naïve in gambling we want to make money because we still don't know the facts about gambling but once we gain enough experience in gambling we become more mature in our decisions when it comes to gambling and so we have more fun when we are more mature

Quote
how much can you put into gambling before it removes the fun aspect of gambling out of it?
It differs from time to time when you're not earning a lot every cent counts but if you're earning more you can put in a lot of money and take the game seriously since big money at stakes, it depends on the value of money for you in a currency situation you're in it could be $10 or $100, but whatever situation you're in we should only play with money that we can afford to lose.
