721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which one is better for you guys ? on: October 20, 2019, 12:43:47 AM
What kind of stupid question is this? Obviously nobody wants to perform, or participate in an IEO that will fail, regardless which exchange it is on. Obviously  they would rather participate in an IEO that has at least some chance of success, even if it is on a complete trash exchange.

Way to make your question heavily biased.
OMG, you just took the words out of my mouth Grin. frankly speaking i read over his question several times before i was able to understand what exactly he was trying to say. You are right, every good investor into crypto projects would want to put his/her funds in a project which has a potential of surviving in this competitive industry.
722  Economy / Economics / Re: At which price will loose Bitcoin the dominance in the Crypto Market? on: October 19, 2019, 11:41:27 PM
This is never going to happen bro, bitcoin's dominance over the entire crypto market is something that can never go down because there are so many cryptopreneurs that invest into bitcoin than any other cryptocurrency. Bitcoin's dominance is about hitting a new record most likely after the next halving next year.
723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Does Coin swap stands a chance of solving Bitcoin's problems? on: October 19, 2019, 08:20:52 AM
1. Slow transaction rate
2. High consumption of electricity in running the network etc
Just to mention but a few are some of the problems of bitcoin which almost everybody in here knows about. I have seen several blockchain network do a coin swap as a way to improve upon the security, transaction and other features of its network. Solutions using lightning network would still increase the cost of transaction in one way or another. I have been thinking about this for a while, would the crypto community support the idea of a coin swap for bitcoin even if it was spearheaded by Satoshi Nakamoto? All that needs to be done is for him to sign a transaction with the address containing the rewards from the genesis block whiles mining bitcoin. I know it's a big pill to swallow but let's look at this possibility, hopefully the "anonymous being" might spot on this thread and come up with another great idea. All he needs is the support of the cryptosphere just like any other blockchain startup.
724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WILL Bounty campaigns Ever Keep to their Rules and Regulations on: October 19, 2019, 12:52:01 AM
Most of the bounty campaigns these days don't go by their rules and regulations. They put up disclaimer notices at the end of the thread saying the bounty manager has the mandate to change terms of the bounty if the need be. My advice to any bounty hunter is to read extensively about any project that they participate in and if in one way or another you are not comfortable with the rules just leave the campaign!
725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam? What to do next. on: October 18, 2019, 11:37:55 PM
So okay, this story didn't happen to me. It happened to a friend (let's call him Bob) of a friend (I will call him Sam).
But he has an app (I don't know what app, because I heard it from Bob and he doesn't know either) which shows that Sam has doubled his investment (9000 EUR), but he cannot withdraw it now and these people (from Russia) are calling and rushing him to invest even more.

Bob asked me about that, I said that this is some nonsense. There shouldn't be people calling you and asking to transfer money. All is too fishy.

This is surely a scam and it would be best to stay away from it! Most of these applications only make you millions on their platform without being unable to withdraw the funds earned. This sort of schemes is actually archaic and only crypto noobs would fall for this. Stay away from quick gains guys, that's one of the quickest ways of falling vulnerable to scammers.
726  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy now or wait for Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2019, 03:11:31 AM
Bitcoin is that asset that always beats the mind of some technical analysts because of its uncertainty in its rise and fall. if you are really looking for the lowest bottom trust me you might end up waiting for  a whole year without having the balls to set an order. But if you believe in bitcoin and actually forsee the upcoming future you would not hesitate to make your purchase now.  Cool
727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Honestly, do you guys think cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon? on: October 18, 2019, 01:29:31 AM
It's been over a decade already mate, cryptocurrencies is here to stay so let's all do our best in pushing the agenda of adopting cryptocurrencies in the near future. We can start by educating the very people around us such as family, friends, loved ones etc. about the use of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 85% of All Bitcoin Have Now Been Mined!!! on: October 17, 2019, 07:34:29 PM
Not to sound too pessimistic but sometimes news about totally mining bitcoins kind of scares me. I tend to think, what is going to motivate miners to continue to keep the bitcoin blockchain network up and running when there is nothing to give them. We all know that the cost of running the bitcoin network is quite high and miners use the rewards gained from mining as a source of income to cater for their expenses.

However, if these miners decide to keep the blockchain network operating then i think bitcoin transaction fees is going to go a bit higher.
729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: October 16, 2019, 10:29:30 AM
In addition to the high volatility of cryptocurrencies, you can also consider the numerous scams that you can get involved into. I invested in so many ICOs and now most of them are dead with no further development. That's why it's so important to do an extensive research before investing into any project.
730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of digital money depends on smart phone technology and people's knowledge on: October 15, 2019, 02:57:17 PM
You are not too far from the truth mate. Imagine the number of scams and wrong transactions that could have been avoided if people had the knowledge about making transactions with the use of cryptocurrencies. Integrating cryptocurrency wallets with phones has been a very useful tool as it makes people have access to their funds at any point in time. Crypto enthusiasts need to serve as advocates and start educating close friends and family members about cryptocurrencies.
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how do you identify a transparent project team? on: October 15, 2019, 10:43:21 AM
In as much as it gets very hard to connect the dots with some projects especially one that i invested into sometime ago, your best shot is to seek out their experiences with previous projects. In addition, it's best to get close to their social profiles to get to know more about them. Lol i remember reading a scam report about TwoGap project and go to know one of the team members was into managing a restaurant. I can't authenticate the the legitimacy of the Report from Shitcoin Offering group but it was soo funny to read that Grin. Now not much is being done about this project and just like most ICOs, the price keep falling Sad
732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Store of Value or Method of Payment on: October 15, 2019, 09:58:00 AM
The motive for creating Bitcoin was clearly stated in Satoshi' whitepaper as medium of peer to peer payment system. Though currently it has adopted unto itself as a store of value because of its price fluctuation from time to time. However, bitcoin's high volatility makes it very dangerous to serve as a good store of value looking at the fact that it's been just 10 years since its creation. Gold and other precious minerals are the best store of value. Bitcoin could also be a store of value in the future, but for now it's perfect to be used as method of payment.
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dont be surprised if ETH hits 4000$ on: October 15, 2019, 03:27:22 AM
After bitcoin halving in 2020 don't be surprised if ETH hits 4000$ before 2021,this are the reasons why i think its possible

1. The teams are willing to try out new things with the project, many projects that have already achieved what ETH have ends up surrendering but ETH teams are not showing sign of stopping

2. I cant say more about the ETH2.0 upgrade but the POS implementation will make it worthwhile, the reason why i invested in some POS coins is to use the gains to sustain and get many daily needs till the day when holding them will pay off big,the POS will make many investors want to hold ETH for long term ultimately will leads to more adoption
The potential of Ethereum goes way beyond $4k and it should have been doing way better than it's current price. What i think the team can do in addition to implementing the PoS consensus mechanism is to cap the total supply of Ethereum. This will boost the confidence in ETH and also increase the demand for it.
734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN? on: October 15, 2019, 03:07:39 AM
Not every investment strategy is for everyone mate, so many folks have gained huge profits from Bitcoin investments yet some also suffered great loss. There is risks within any investment plan but it's your sole responsibility to do a good research about your investment in order to know how to reduce those risks.
Also, do you mind reducing your title to a Standard lower case and also unbolden it as well because nobody is blind here
735  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Margin trading. Where to start? on: October 14, 2019, 06:54:28 PM
Margin trading is no place for a newbie mate because even experienced traders sometimes get caught up in this game of losing your funds to the whales. However, if you feel you've got the balls to venture into margin trading then i suggest you use Binance Exchange as it's one of the popular exchanges with huge investors.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware; Do not Fall for Phishing Sites, Do Not Be a Victim of Scams on: October 14, 2019, 04:42:40 PM
Damn! i fell for these guys when if first heard about cryptocurrencies and started investing. I remember i visited a clone website of MEW and unfortunately accessed my account on their site. The next thing i knew was my tokens being moved  Cry. It was later that i checked the site again and realized it was fake! Seriously newbies and starters in here should be careful of cloned sites of popular crypto projects.
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Concentrate more on the technology and give less attention to price value. on: October 14, 2019, 08:50:19 AM
The Altcoin industry has made the timeframe for ROI so short that everyone now sees it as a quick money making industry or scheme which shouldn't be the case. If you have read the history of bitcoin you would understand it took bitcoin quite sometime to start yielding profits and it too it almost 10 years to record its massive success in regards to price value but yet enthusiast didn't loss hope in the technology and that's what happens when you invest because of the technology and not just for the price gain of the project.

Lets invest more in achievable technology that can add more credibility to the cryptocurrency industry and not just chase price gain.
How i wish a larger portion of this community can hear, listen and abide by this simple truth. Blockchain startups have now become a quick money gaining scheme where team members of project mostly abscond with the funds of the ICO or investors not being able to hold their balls till the project grows. As soon as ICO, IEO finishes almost everybody starts to scream on top of their lungs for Exchange listings lol. I invested into this project Destream and i know it's going to turn out big someday.
Price is very low at the moment, maybe y'all can go for such a gem as that one.
738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every tiny piece of Bitcoin is worth it! on: October 14, 2019, 08:32:04 AM
Definitely, man. Back in the days when it was under $1000 we never tought $3000 was possible, but now look where we are. The 100th part of a bitcoin is worth over 100 bucks, how incredible is that and who knows what Bitcoin has in store for us in the future?  Shocked

Taking a bold prediction that Bitcoin price will reach $1M in the next 5-10 years that would be equal to 0.001 BTC=$1000. The potential is huge in Bitcoin and I'm talking about facts: the statistics show us that there are over 36 million millionaires in the world and Bitcoin has a limited supply of 21M units with 4M considered lost. Make the math and you'll quickly realise that if each one of the millionaires want 1 BTC, its price should be well beyond 1M  Wink
Hahaha...i love your sense of optimism mate! Damn you just raised my hopes up in buying more BTC this morning. I just can't wait to see BTC hit beyong $1M though. So many folks who sold at these levels would be bitting their tongues and cursing their stars as well. I guess it's time for us to go about that HODL attitude one more time.
739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every tiny piece of Bitcoin is worth it! on: October 13, 2019, 04:56:52 PM
Back in the days i used to disregard some pennies of my bitcoins in several exchanges thinking that these coins would never be worth it looking at its price at the moment. However, this idea came into my mind about some few weeks ago that what if Bitcoin reaches a double of its previous all time or even greater once this long awaited global adoption sets in.

Seriously this made me think twice and have made me roam through all my exchange accounts and wallets making sure that i have access to them in order to cash out all those pieces of bitcoin if they ever become worth it again. This may sound quite silly but i am quite optimistic about it Grin

Not every tiny bit of bitcoin is really worth something. are you trying to say that if you have 0.0000000234 BTC in your wallet, it is worth something ?  And moreover, it is impossible to send such small amount from an exchange platform to your wallet. you might just be wasting your time in doing this.
Well remember, that the value of Bitcoin was once not up to a cent yet now it's so expensive not everybody can get his/her hands on one. With so many speculations of the price of bitcoin ever going over $100K+ you think such an amount would not be worth it someday. It's all a matter of time and patience mate, wait till we see the next two bitcoin halvings
740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every tiny piece of Bitcoin is worth it! on: October 13, 2019, 04:42:36 PM
Op, you are right to think that way.  I remember seeing a post a few years ago when I had first registered, and it showed how one of the first bitcoin faucets looked and what it was paying out.  Suffice to say if one were to have claimed from that faucet regularly back then, they'd be pretty wealthy today with bitcoin where it's at.  The takeaway message for me was to value those satoshis that one gets here and there, because you never know how much they're going to be worth years down the line.

I wish I could find that thread where I saw the old school faucet.  If anyone can find it or something similar, it would bolster op's point.
Well i think TradeSatoshi still gives out some faucets though i have not made any cash out yet to know how legit it is but i know it's going on. You can try it out and see how much it's going to be worth in the next few years.
