721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can anyone tell me if this scenario is a scam. ASAP My wife has started this on: December 15, 2023, 10:30:20 PM
Trading does not require someone who will act as your advisor or financial manager. If you do that, the chance to be scammed is high. Just like what happened to OP's wife, she trusted a stranger and end up being scammed.

You need to know that you need only yourself and your funds when trading, and no other person either. And always trade with caution as scamming these days has already become rampant online. Once you see too good to be true offers and promises, that's a scam without doubt and hesitation.

And Mr. Li never really exist in real life. He might actually be in trading but rest assured he's not profitable and reliable, otherwise he will not resort into scamming someone if he is already earning well from his trading career.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally I did it (I am happy to join). on: December 15, 2023, 08:33:57 PM
Congratulations on your first bitcoin investment. Know that your decision to finally purchase bitcoin is one of the best decisions you have ever made, and I should say this is not the first and last, as opportunities will keep knocking on your door so you can continue buying bitcoin and continue with DCA to maximize your bitcoin investment. While bitcoin is a high-risk asset, so learn to invest in it with caution.

I know it's hard to save this time to finally purchase bitcoin due to high inflation, but if you are really determined on your goal, you will exert a lot of efforts to achieve it and make it real.
723  Economy / Economics / Re: Luxury and spending lifestyle fastest way to poverty rich kids on: December 14, 2023, 11:59:34 PM
This is due to the misbehavior of parents who are not good at raising and educating their children. Excessive pampering of wealthy children and the ease with which they obtain everything with complete ease will make them ineligible to bear responsibility themselves and will lead to their bankruptcy after the departure of their wealthy parents.
So the blame is primarily on these rich parents.

I don't know if we can blame the parents though, I mean as I parent most of the time we showered our kids with luxury life maybe because we don't know them to suffer what we have gone through in our childhood. And so we we acquire money along the way and we wanted our kids to have bright future and then we pamper them with money.

So it's really hard to balance everything as a parent to the point that we might be going over board and it's kinda late that our children just look at life so easy without thinking of themselves and what could be the future for them without their parents money. Again, everything should be balance so that we can teach our kids a good lessons in life.
I bet to disagree that all the blame should be pointed out to the parents alone. The environment is also a big factor that affects the growth and welfare of our kids. That is why kids should also be selective when it comes to their peers because not all of them will bring out the best in them, but will lead them to some negative habits that if left unnoticed by parents, these kids will grow believing that what they are doing are right.

It's not bad to let our kids experience luxury in life but there should still be balance in everything as life alone should be well balanced as well. Otherwise, if they always find things easier for them without exerting lots of efforts, I'm afraid that they will not be exposed to the real battles in life and end up quitting or committing crimes just to find easy things way out.
724  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can anyone be a Bitcoin speculation expert? on: December 14, 2023, 11:27:18 PM
Anyone can be an expert in crypto, but never expect that everyone will agree on your given speculations. We all have different predictions and speculations in the market, and what works for you might be a failure to others. So be an expert on your own, but never attempt to influence others as you might be held responsible if future losses will appear on them.

However, price correction is always possible with bitcoin, volatility makes it possible to happen. But we don't have to fear if there are price corrections along the way, that is only one way to determine that bitcoin is getting ready to reach another all time high once it recovers from its correction.
725  Economy / Economics / Re: my mum want to make a lot of money, money can fix everything, me hurt not import on: December 14, 2023, 10:59:21 PM
my mum want to make a lot of money, money can fix everything, me hurt not important.

So the truck is broken, the coolant is leaking the tyres is flatten and it is overloaded and dangerous to maneuver, but mum keep nagging must drive the truck for one last time and make the one last time money, must make a lot of a lot of money, money can fix everything, she said it, must drive the truck, she order me to drive the truck, it is she tell to do, but the one who would drive the truck is not her it is me, she want to make a lot of money but the one who would go and earn that hard earned money is, I need to work for that money not her, how is it even fair? Is it a priviledge? What is up???
I believe money is not everything but with lots of money, you can do almost everything. And probably this is where your mother is getting her mindset. But the worst thing is, you are her only way to make it happen, and it's sad to say that money is more valuable to her than the safety of his son. But maybe if you open your concerns to her, she will also learn to adjust and prioritize you more than her longing for money.

Safety over the greed for money. If you can explain it well to her, she might probably change her way of treating you, heart to heart talk is what you both need the most for now.
726  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not very easy; it took my friend a long time to understand. on: December 13, 2023, 11:58:25 PM
There's nothing easy when you want something big.

Trading career is a hard thing to do, you'll need a lot of money in the process, dedication, time, and a lot of patient, in order to gain the experience that you'll need in the long run to gain profits as much as you want. You can't rush your trading career, it won't do any good to you, just pure frustration and a lot of losses in the process. Worst case scenario is that you'll end up homeless if you're going to let your emotion do your trade.
You have to pay the price so that trading will be worthy and valuable. What is only hard is just the beginning, but the moment you start taking the wheel, your momentum will keep on going. So just think positively and never gets frustrated with some mistakes and losses, that's part of the challenges in trading.

Trading follows a process. Learn to trade step by step and as you grow your experience in trading, the chances to improve your trades and becoming successful will also increase. Patience is the key.
727  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is the only currency that has grown the most!! on: December 13, 2023, 11:36:33 PM
Present, there are many altcoins in the crypto market and they have grown a lot. But it has gone down and gone again, but Bitcoin is the only currency that hasn't gone down yet, instead it's going up. I've noticed that Bitcoin has grown the most over the past couple of days, but altcoins haven't grown as much in comparison. Currently, we see Bitcoin market above $44000, I think it will bring $45000 very soon. Will Bitcoin Touch $50,000 By This December?  What do you think about the way the Bitcoin market is currently growing?
This is not surprising anymore if we see bitcoin leading the market because we all know bitcoin exceeds in all aspects compared to altcoins. And to think that bitcoin is the king of crypto, so it alwys kept an edge towards other crypto coins. Bitcoin is currently priced at $43k and with how the market behaves these past few days, I'm optimistic that it will hit another heights in the next days, and might even exceeds our expectation from reaching its $50k price.

However, while we all aim for a bullish market, sudden price correction might also appear in a very unexpected situation. But we all know that bitcoin is still susceptible to that, at least we can prepare for it as early as now.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be enough to buy 100 dollars worth of Bitcoin every month? on: December 13, 2023, 10:58:55 PM
I'm preparing for the college entrance exam to go to college, so I can't make money from working. I get about $100 of allowance from my father every month. I use all of them to buy bitcoin because I can use father's credit card for expenses such as food, clothes. I can buy Bitcoin on a satoshi basis every month, but when I see people buying Bitcoin basis on the internet, I feel like I'm too behind myself. Maybe they have a much higher income than me because they have a job. I think I can only invest $100 a month for the next year or two, would that be enough? I am worried about missing big bull market with halving and etf approval.
Buying bitcoin with $100 monthly is already a good amount for a student like you. You don't have to invest bigger than what you can afford to lose, as you are still dependent to your father and is still not making a stable amount of income. Invest on your own risk.

But I also have this question in mind if you are going to invest all your allowance, then where will you get the money that will be used for unexpected expenses? You have to reserve funds like for your emergency funds so that you will have something to spend in times of emergency cases. Investing is good, but always prioritize saving for emergency funds and just only decide to invest when you have spare money available.
729  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FOMO of bull market on: December 12, 2023, 11:58:54 PM
So, I longed chainlink yesterday, with 10x leverage as market appeared so good. Now, there has been dump and my position got liquidated.

I usually go with 2-4x leverage, and that gives me safer liquidation price however this time I went with 10x leverage, as I thought bulls have arrived, and it's only up from here, and you see how wrong that turned out.

Take whatever lesson you want. For me, it's to stick with 2-4x leverage with which I tend to do good, don't allow greed to enter.
10x leverage is not safe anymore. Even how positive you are with your trades, there is no guarantees that the market will favor your direction. 2-4x leverage is still risky, but that is way safer than going 10x and ends up with visible losses as well. But with greed, we all come to wrong decision making that will also give us lessons as well. The more we lose, the bigger lessons these losses will provide us.

Leverage is not safe as always especially if you are still in the learning process. But sometimes we need to take leverage to increase profitability as well, some might be lucky while others end up blaming theirselves because of their uncontrollable greed.

730  Economy / Economics / Re: It's not just money it's something else my Cousin try to Monaco but got refused on: December 12, 2023, 11:37:15 PM
Here the story my Cousen 60 years old been working all his life STARTED as construction business.
So he got a lot money he was working all his life never spending but re investing in business and working tools
Then he decided to go Open bank account in Monaco and getting resident status there and he got refused.
Even he had all the proper paperwork and proof of all his life legit income

They didnt Even explaining to Him properly why he just wamted to go and live Nice place for his retirement so we realised it's not just money it's status and connection but Also got be something else ... becouse those who are not legit ones can Even Open bank accounts and living nice there but why they refused honest person got me thinking it's not Even about money just something else what play here importance
Sometimes, its better not to hear the reason out, than to clearly slap on our face that without connections on those people who are sitting inside the government, everything will seem so hopeless. And without money to tip them, our time will only be wasted. That is the reality nowadays,  so either face it or leave it.

This is not just in Monaco but even to other country's governments as well. If you don't have back-ups like people owning high positions in that country, your application will be disregard forever.
731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is wiser? on: December 12, 2023, 10:56:58 PM
At the current market condition and having bull run in mind, these persons have $10,000 to invest.

  • Mr. Bob goes 100% with bitcoin.
  • Miss Alice goes 50% bitcoin and 50% random altcoins.
  • Mr. theymos goes with bitcoin but $100 weekly DCA.
I'd like to say that Mr. Bob will gain massive profits in the end and would probably be the winner among others. However, we all know that no matter how bullish the market, bitcoin price will never move up all the time as there are chances that its price will be corrected soon. And investing all in is not a wise decision, in fact it will only add to your risk from losing.

In the end, I'd go probably with Mr. Theymos as his decision to DCA weekly is the wisest and safest thing to do. No problem if he can't make the best with this nearing bull run, there' still a lot of incomg bull runs in the next possible years. That time, he might probably gain life changing profits that will bring a lot of positive changes in his life.
732  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we see repeat of 2017 or new trend? on: December 11, 2023, 05:57:46 PM
In my opinion, what is happening now is the result of excessive optimism about the approval of the Bitcoin ETF, and people are eagerly awaiting this event and continue to buy Bitcoin, so we have seen this important rise during the past short period.

But this excessive optimism may also lead to adverse results in most cases, as happened today when Bitcoin fell by one candle, with a violent decline of -7% in just one hour.

The market is currently very volatile and the direction cannot be determined accurately, but it is possible that we will witness a decline before the expected rise after the expected Bitcoin halving in the middle of next year.
Seeing a price decline before a real bullish market appears is highly possible, that already happened in the previous bull run and history might repeat this time. The truth is, no one can accurately tell the future price of bitcoin, and we cant even tell as to when or how high it's new ATH will be. Or worst is we will still experience a massive price decline before we will hit it's new all time high.

Speculations here and there, that's what we can all do this time. But if fate allows to repeat the history from 2017, a lot of people will definitely be rejoicing while leaving the others regretting.
733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will invest the money to buy the land in Bitcoin. on: December 11, 2023, 05:44:48 PM
it's a bold plan, and if it works, then it will really bring you huge profits. However, I think that you need to save some of the money you have in Fiat as an emergency fund. We don't know what will happen in the future, because as far as I know, there are many people who try to invest all the money they have, but they are forced to sell the investments they have cheaply because of an emergency.
So, I think if you want to try investing in bitcoin for the long term, to buy land, that's not a problem, many people do that, but make sure the money for daily needs, savings, emergency money, and others is also met. because if not, then it could threaten your investment in the future.
Investing all in with bitcoin is not a good idea at all. Don't used up all your money so you can invest all in with bitcoin, that won't still guarantee huge profits in the end. The safest way to invest in bitcoin without the risk of losing too much is to just invest on the amount that you wouldn't mind losing. You can start investing either 5-10% from your total amount of money and once your capital shows progress, then you can start adjusting your size of position depending on the profits that you have gained previously.

Invest in bitcoin for long term and invest with indefinite time, that will guarantee maximum profits once you decide to sell. But always invest with high caution.
734  Economy / Economics / Re: We need higher wages off course but goverment need to do one thing on: December 11, 2023, 05:23:13 PM
In USA 3000$ minimum Europe 300€-3500€ minimum wage i think UK there 4000$ minimum. Wage
But goverment need to regulate just
Rent prices , energy prices ,food prices.
So If you want to put food price up then you need to be approved by goverment only then you can go over price limit.
We need wages up but same time our regular costs need to be not go over limits.

So things we need goverment must keep prices check becouse the economy is playground and goverment duty is to be judge that everybody play fair game.

Here in our country, its seldom to see minimum wages up, as what we always experience are only the consistent price increase with foods, goods and services. Unfortunately, the government seems does not even care at all or if they care, they will just approve a little increase for minimum wages after a long wait but they can't control those goods and services from surging its prices.

What we always ask from the government is to provide us long term jobs, not contractual ones. And most especially for those poor and illiterate ones, at least they should be given source of livelihood that will still provide them with decent amount of income.
735  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What should newbies do in trading? on: December 11, 2023, 05:00:05 PM
I'm also beginner in trading. I trade since this summer and I lost about $90 on $120 account. Recently I make $20 on last $34.
Throughout my journey in trading, I read Jack Schwager's book, watched many educational videos on YouTube, read many articles on the educational sections of CEX exchanges, and also talked with many traders. It seems to me that I understand enough about technical analysis, trading systems and trader psychology. But I'm at a dead end and don't know what to do next. Other traders advised me to just trade, but I think that over time I will lose my remaining $45, and demo trading does not bring such emotions and I don’t want to try hard when trading it
Trading having a newbie position only maximize its risk. No matter how you tell that you have already acquired sufficient knowledge in trading, be it in fundamental or technical, the fact that you have less and insufficient experience in trading makes you incapable to trade and makes you less controllable on the outcome of your trades. So for me, it's better to just stop from trading for a while while you continue to enrich yourself with knowledge and skills in trading.

Trading consistently does not guarantee that you'll end up a better trader, if your performance still not improves, you will still lose everything you have. So learn first adequate knowledge, skills and strategies in trading before you proceed in trading, at least your capital might still be saved.
736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 11, 2023, 01:43:51 PM
Memphis Grizzlies - Dallas Mavericks - Dallas Mavericks (-1.5) No Kyrie Irving and a lot of starters but headband Luka can sometimes be a monster. Ja Morant is still not back, 4 more games before his return. The Mavs might steal this one.

It's already -2.5 now. I'd still go with the Mavericks, as sometimes even without Irving Dallas is still a strong team. Plus, if you look at the stats of the Memphis, they are 1-9 at home, so you can easily spot which is the better team betwen the two. By the way, Dallas is 7-4 on the road, so Dallas is the right pick based on those comparisons.
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one you are good at? on: December 11, 2023, 01:20:58 PM
I haven't turned a profit with either sports gambling or casino games lately.  That said, I've definitely lost more money overall playing casino games than betting on sports. There's that temptation of going for the big payout instead of protecting your bankroll.  I think thats an issue almost all gamblers grapple with though - we get seduced by those ideas of striking it rich quick and end up trying to make giant scores instead of playing a sustainable reasoned long game.

I guess we need to be realistic all the time.

Let's make a figure as an example. Assuming you ra playing today and you have a bankroll of $100 just today, with your small bankroll, you aimed to turned that into $1000. So I like to ask, isn't it realistic or not?

My answer is, it's possible to turn that $100 to $1000 but not so realistic because of the chance of it happening, so when the chance is slim, the result will  likely be a lose. Unlike when you have a decent bankroll and you want to turn it to x10 overtime, that is more reasonable and realistic.
738  Other / Off-topic / Re: Making a New Year resolution plan is Important. on: December 11, 2023, 12:35:02 PM
Honestly, I don't think creating new year resolution plans are really necessary, although I would say it's a good motivation to start the new year right. Because if you aim to change something within you or improve what you have within, you can always do that any time of the year. The important thing is you have the self-determination and self-discipline to turn into action whatever plan you have set for yourself. And in case it didn't work out, at least you didn't easily give up on your goal without even trying.

Making a new year resolution plan is actually good, but as long as you never care to internalize it and make it happen through your endless efforts, that will only remain a resolution plan every year.
739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risk and reward of having Bitcoin on: December 11, 2023, 11:32:16 AM
The high volatility that you said a disadvantage is actually the best asset for bitcoin because without it, you will not see bitcoin investors suddenly turn into filthy rich. That's why no matter how risky bitcoin is due to its high volatility, people chose to take its risk rather than avoid it.

However, those disadvantages you've mentioned will only be possible if you rush investing in bitcoin without educating yourself first. As an investor, you should know your investment well, otherwise instead of seeing it as a means to make you rich in the future, it might be the reason to see you struggling in your finances or worst made you homeless in the end.

All types of investment has its own risk and rewards. That's for you to assess yourself if you are capable to manage and overcome those risks. If not, then it's better not to force yourself to invest so that your money and time will not go into waste.
740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Bankroll! on: December 11, 2023, 06:16:59 AM
I know there are bettors here who dream of investing in sports betting and hoping to consistently make money from it.

So, I'd like to ask the following questions:

1. How much bankroll can you afford to start with?

2. With your bankroll, how much expected profit do you anticipate in a year?

3. Will you be content with your profit? If not, have you considered increasing your bankroll, even if you cannot afford it?
