Thanx Guys we just crossed $75k mark. Sold 748 Keywords already.
Can you sign from an address holding $75k worth of BTC?

they won't do that. that's the reason for neg trust rating...
Why wont they? I mean, if they can not do this, it is nothing but a false claim to attract investment.

Yes, you'd think that they'd want to be building up all the confidence in their site as they can.

This definitely throws up a red flag and is the sole reason why I decided to stop investing at the amount that I'm currently in.

Just because they've received that much doesn't mean it's all sitting there just to showcase, they have expenses also. Hosting, development, marketing, staff, etc.

If you stop siad I don't think you'll have to reanounce but I'm not certain.

If you change price/size parameters you do not have to re announce, that I know for sure.

Unlocked status... I don't know for certain but I want to say it has to be unlocked, otherwise the contract wouldn't have an address to pay to.

2 things:

1) The link in the last post is broken, it's got a few extra characters and is missing the ":"

2) Viewing the website from mobile is nearly impossible. Upon loading it sent me to an advertiser claiming my phone had a virus with no way to go back. Extremely annoying.

I find it kinda funny that people fall for those though Wink

I suggest pulling a long con because you get big profit in the end, and you can have some fun along the way!

Note to self: Don't put any money into a project backed by Lamer.

when ~ you will planing to release new wallet?
Thanks!

looks like version on github is already 0.4.3 (https://github.com/NebulousLabs/Sia), should new releases should be soon

New versions are being released like hot bread at a bakery yet peoples lost funds are not being addressed.

Has anyone actually lost funds on 0.4.x?
I've not seen it yet.

It was a known issue in 0.3.x but that should all be gone now.

"Each siacoin is composed of 10^24 indivisible units."

Why on earth would you want this? Considering the reward is 300.000 with 1 decreasing each block...

When uploading files the pricing is per byte so you must be able to divide the coins to very precise values to be able to accurately represent all price points.

The goal of this thread is to make money not lose money.  Wink

Question: In the UI, it says XXXX blocks left. What happens to files when the rental period expires? Do files auto-renew? What if wallet is empty? They then get deleted?

As of now the file is deleted from the network when it expires.

An upcoming version will feature auto-renew

Do upcoming games count?

Do you have already a working sunfish? Is there a client already tailored for windows?
Thanks

Sunfish: https://siafiles.com/#/

I'm not sure what you mean by a client tailored to windows... for Sia or for Sunfish?

I've run the new sia-ui 4.0.2 (x64) and load my old wallet. It showed full balance. Yesterday I've sent my funds to poloniex and it comes from my sia wallet. Today I see 0 of 6 confirmations in my Poloniex sia wallet and 10 Sia in my desktop wallet. I've waited for 12 hours but no way. My sia haven't come to polo account. Where can I find my funds? Please help.
P.S. Is there working block explorer?

Blocks have been coming extremely slowly lately, difficulty rose and many miners left.

Block explorer is http://explore.siacoin.com however it's currently experiencing issues and should be back in a week or so.

Do I need sia coins to let my hard drive space be used?
No, however later down the line it will be possible to offer your own coins as collateral to back file contracts.

Will it be used instantly or must i wait for it to be actually used?
Disk space will be used as contracts are uploaded, not allocated in one shot.

I'm getting error 400, ensure forward port 9982?
Is the port forwarded? Firewalls? UPNP enabled? Other than that I'm not much help on this question, sorry.

the port forward error is an old one and - as we can see - a persistent one ...

taek has issued an addendum to the instructions ( which for the life of me i cannot find ) that specifies how to force an announce fromt he wallet - even though sia itself cant see an open port ...

its the same issue we have here - and i cant announce the storage space due to this issue - but the forwarding and network components are all setup ... we have a very different network setup from the average user anyway - but a port forward to a static ip should work ... it doesnt ...

im looking for the instructions on how to force announce your host ... can anyone help here? ...

#crysx

If you have Sia 0.4.x then manually announcing from the command line should force the announce.
Code:
siac host announce ip:port

tanx bitspill ...

thats what i wanted ...

this command forces the announce does it not? ...

#crysx

Yep, it should force it.

Older versions had to use a "--force" (or similar) flag but that has since been removed

no idea what port forwarded means at all....some layman terms please if anyone knows, I'm on a mac.

Port forwarding is a setting on your internet router/modem and not a setting of the computer.

The procedure will vary depending on make/model of the router/modem, at the below link you can find guides for most devices.

Since you want an exact clone, just search for any occurrence of "bitcoin" or "btc" and replace it with your new name. Then replace the logo image files and such with new images. Compile and off you go.

For a practical clone though you'd want to change pchMessageStart, genesis hash, and maybe the ports as well.

Does anyone know if this is working right now? (Sunfish) https://staging.siafiles.com/#/upload/ I noticed all the previous files that were there are gone. Was trying to upload something.

I don't think you need to use staging anymore you can now go directly to https://siafiles.com but there is only 1 file there as well.
