741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: June 03, 2017, 12:40:33 AM
OK, so I have read the whitepaper but still not sure of one thing. Bancor team is saying that they are getting rid of liquidity problem. But isn't any coin liquid at some point? If I have some not so popular asset, I could simply dump it on the market. Doesn't Bancor algoritm simply do something similar? Yes, every asset will be liquid now but probably not at the price that user would like it to be. So technically all the claims are correct, but the price would be very low if you try to sell illiquid asset in great amounts (or very high if you want to buy liqid asset in high amount).
Not really, because if you just come up with a coin, and the exchanges don't want to add it, then your coin does't have liquidity. As to why exchanges don't want to it, there could be many reasons. For example your community of potential token holders may be too small for them to profitably add the token. Although the price floats, there is liquidity, so you can exit your position if you really want to. The Bancor Protocol just gives you that initial amount of liquidity without relying on external exchanges.
742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: June 01, 2017, 11:43:47 PM

I dont think you should look at the tokens as fractional reserves, the reserve is merely a tool for liquidity and usually when speaking about fractional reserve the reserve is the thing that gives the value to the coin which in this case it isnt. its just the market depth for liquidity in this case or atleast thats how i see it from what i read

Collateralized token is very nice thing which has a number of use cases and reserve can provide some liquidity, which will depend on its size. You can manage liquidity with a smart contract by keeping constant CRR, or you could use this reserve to put buy/sell orders on exchange and manage it with a trading bot, the result would be the same. But saying that 1% of reserve will make a token fully liquid is a complete bullshit. Also, if token B is backed by token A at fractional CRR, it does not make sense to use token B as reserve for token C instead of using token A. This is an infinite money multiplier.
You are free to continue to the chain of CRR: Token A backed by ETH, Token B backed by Token A, Token C backed by Token B and so on. There's nothing stopping you from doing that. However, the real value of a token comes from its utility, not from the reserve alone. If people don't think your coin has any utility, you can keep issuing them but no one other than you will buy into it. However, if you're able to create a long-chain economy of tokens, then there's nothing stopping them from going on a long-chain reserve as well.
743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: June 01, 2017, 11:17:37 PM
Sounds like a good thing to be a part of but I think I missed the chance, it's too late now I guess

I was saying the same when Stratis was 0.70 but a friend told me no Buy it ... and i buy 1500 and now i am so happy did it ...

So it is too late ? no i am still buying more and more when it drop down to 1$
Well, to be fair, for every one story that ends like this, there are a hundred that end badly. Since your returns in the short run and very much dependent on how the market behaves, it is very hard to predict such short-term returns.
744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LUNYR - Decentralized World Knowledge Base on Ethereum - Completed! on: May 31, 2017, 11:40:24 PM
Hm..... i send my LUN from Bettrix to ETH wallet and still didint get them ( already past 6 hours ). Did any one had the same issue or may be any one have experience of  sending Lun from Bettrix to ETH wallet, could you share info how long it takes and did you sucssed?
There may be ETH network delays due to the BAT crowdsale earlier in the day. Does Bittrex say processed or pending? If it's processed, you can check in etherscan.io for your transaction id to see if it's been broadcast to the network or not.
745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: May 31, 2017, 11:37:26 PM
ICN is a long term investment but people are impatient and want it to grow 10x in a day
At least wait for their Q2 report, which I believe would be the first one outlining the number of tokens burnt. I believe that would be a good catalyst for further discussion about ICN.
746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - LAST DAY OF ICO on: May 31, 2017, 11:28:14 PM
Dear Bounty campaign participants, please keep the signature for another 24 hours so that we can count the results of the sig campaign tomorrow. Thank you.
Of course, we will be happy if you keep your signature further.  Grin

oh, thanks for the information. So we still have to wear this signature. there's no problem with me.
btw, congratulations for getting 2300+ BTC on your ICO dev.
please inform us again if we can remove the signature.

What exactly is the "signature"
It's the forum signature, usually used for promotion purposes. It shows up after every post of that user. You can see why it's valuable real estate for this forum.
747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - Nextgen Financial Ecosystem | ICO l BOUNTY CAMPAIGN on: May 29, 2017, 09:12:57 PM
Does anyone know how soon EON will be listed in exchanges after the end of ICO?
Definitely on the Exscuso exchange. No idea about the other exchanges - they are free to add it of course, but I don't think there's any confirmation from any of the exchanges.
748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LUNYR - Decentralized World Knowledge Base on Ethereum - Completed! on: May 29, 2017, 12:46:41 AM
the price is below ICO price now right? 1 ETH can now buy about 65 LUN, which was 44 LUN in the ICO....right?

and the slack link doesnt work anymore?
This invite link is no longer active.

All this is due to the rising cost of the Ethereum. If you count in dollars, then the price is higher than the one that was at the time of sales.
That's technically true, but I doubt any new money from fiat side has really entered Lunyr, at least not substantially. Everyone who's invested would otherwise likely just have held their ETH, so comparing to ETH is very valid. I think all ERC20 tokens should be benchmarked to ETH, not fiat.
749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - Nextgen Financial Ecosystem | ICO l BOUNTY CAMPAIGN on: May 29, 2017, 12:40:32 AM
Dev, any talks with the EON team on trying to figure out a solution to the name clash? EON had a big presence at Consensus and everyone knows them as EON now. Is there any changes from either team just to avoid this confusion going forward? It may not seem like a big deal now, but is likely to cause unnecessary pain to both communities in the future.
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - Nextgen Financial Ecosystem | ICO l BOUNTY CAMPAIGN on: May 28, 2017, 10:59:26 PM
At this rate the ICO progress is going I think the average fund to be raised will be 2000BTC which I think is a good capital, BTC price has rallied significantly in the past few days and this means more money for the team

It seems total raised amount will surpass 2k+ BTC with current progress. All investors will get huge in return as like the team has interesting plan for unsold coins so hopefully this would be my best investment. This project is offering great economy model with their trading platform.

My guess is that the final raised amount of money would be around 2200 BTC or a bit more. Things can get pretty intense the last day.
It could, but I wouldn't hazard a guess especially with these fluctuating crypto prices.
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: May 28, 2017, 04:24:17 PM
if your portfolio was bitcoin, ether, icn (eventually ICNX) would you put money into cofound.it?  I'm thinking it is putting too many eggs in one basket and not diversifying enough since ICN is still going to be tied to 10% of coufound.it's success.  Thoughts on diversification and maybe what other areas one would look if looking to add an asset outside of BTC, ETH, ICN (and soon ICNX)?

Thanks
That's up to you and your risk tolerance. As you rightly point out, Iconomi holds 10% of Cofound, so you have indirect exposure to the success of Cofound via ICN.
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - Nextgen Financial Ecosystem | ICO l BOUNTY CAMPAIGN on: May 28, 2017, 04:21:51 PM
I have just noticed that 50% of remaining coin will be shared to ICO investors and another 50% will be used to develop the blockchain system. Well, how can I miss this sentence? It is mostly the important things here
This was discussed a bunch in this thread previously. But as with everything else, important discussion gets drowned out by useless spammy posts Roll Eyes
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - Nextgen Financial Ecosystem | ICO l BOUNTY CAMPAIGN on: May 28, 2017, 01:23:17 AM
Don't worry about the fluctuating price of BTC affecting the total raised in terms of USD. The team should already have plenty to work on their product and vision, and as they release new features and hit milestones, the value of the EON they hold will also increase, thereby providing more funding for the project.
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: May 28, 2017, 01:21:40 AM
Hi everyone!

How can I buy and store ICN?

On exchanges - Kraken.com or Liqui.io. You can store it on ether wallet.

Damn, i missed the low price like always... now we are going back.
Well, if you're helping newbies, also tell them how to hold their ICN. Hold them in a wallet address that you control. If you have a substantial amount, hold them in a hardware wallet like Trezor or Ledger.
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: May 27, 2017, 02:15:36 AM

Anyone going to clarify this 'buyback' address and give details that the tokens
are really burned.

Let's face it, buyback were illegal due to it's market manipulation but it was in
the way of the kleptocracts running this world to making money out of honest
people so they repealed the law.

The ICN token is only linked to this promise by the dev's which relies on the price
rising due to the reduction of the token supply, wait a minute what happened to
real income from our investment with the dividends idea.

The ICN token was a means to an end to fund the exchange trading platforms
(and make a lot of money for the devs) and have no relevance to the the ICN
token other than this so called promise which is no guarantee the price will rise
due to buybacks.

Real returns can only come from investing in the platforms but these are closed
to the Joe Blogs of this world and the poor investor in ICN has footed the bill.

I think the details are only provided periodically, so the team will hopefully provide these details in their next quarterly report. Don't think there's even a burn done so far.

Hello all,

We are the ICORating Team.

We prepared an Investment Review of Exscudo.

Our team conducted a full analysis of the project (business model, tech, team, legal, marketing) and gave it a "Risky +" rating score and “at the market level” investment attractiveness rating.

Read more in the report: http://icorating.com/project/73/Exscudo
What's the rating scale? Risky+ doesn't mean anything without knowing the full list of rankings that I am unable to find.

Also interesting that you'd call it Risky+ but the riskiness is 'at the market level'. Can't say if this sounds inaccurate or not without knowing the nominal rating levels
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - Nextgen Financial Ecosystem | ICO l BOUNTY CAMPAIGN on: May 26, 2017, 01:50:13 AM
Any interest in discussing the project, updates, challenges, market opportunity, and token economics instead of trying to pump the token even before it's launched?
758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EON] EXSCUDO - Nextgen Financial Ecosystem | ICO l BOUNTY CAMPAIGN on: May 25, 2017, 01:44:14 AM
i think x2 from the ico price its so hard right now Angry because bitcoin have a high price now. i think its possible EON will be x2 in the market when bitcoin price down Grin
Altcoins not depends on the Bitcoin price , it depends on how the community will adopt it.
Remember that dude  Grin
Well that's really not true. There are strong periods of correlation between the price of Bitcoin and alts at least historically. I don't think Exscuso is going to be spared that correlation either.
759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: May 25, 2017, 01:13:27 AM
need a little advice, seeing i am a complete noob at investing, (see sig) anyways i already hit ROI on my investment with stratis (thank you devs/community) but now thinking of reinvesting some btc into more stratis, but don't want to come up short, so was thinking if god forbid stratis did tank i could sell my profit stratis to cover my new investment buy...

Any ideas?

Thanks

Seriously, don't look for investment advice on these forums. Do you due diligence, but most importantly, don't risk more than you can afford to lose. End of the day, it is all about the risk adjusted returns. Stratis is riskier with potentially better returns than say Bitcoin but you also take your personal risk into consideration. Don't make investment decisions without it, and no one on the forum can know your personal situation/risk tolerance ability and willingness.
760  Economy / Services / Re: Seeking contributors and Advisory Board members for a new magazine- ICO Crowd on: May 24, 2017, 08:58:30 PM
Which countries are you printing the magazine in? What's the distribution model like? Is it going to be free (ad supported) or paid (one-time/subscription)?
