742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ebay CEO finally surrender to Bitcoin on: June 06, 2014, 06:21:06 PM
Good. Hopefully, it's not a shitty system like PayPal and E-Bay currently has.
743  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin can not continue without regulation on: June 06, 2014, 05:14:24 PM
Trust me, PayPal is the worst example of a fair regulation you can give right now. I don't think Bitcoin needs regulation, I think people need to use common sense and use escrow more.
744  Economy / Services / Re: NEWBIES & JR MEMBERS Signature PAYMENT - NEW RATES! on: June 06, 2014, 05:12:34 PM
Ponzis are unreliable. Why is it that people think a signature campaign for a Ponzi is? A guy is promoting his Ponzi, and he's using your posts or your vulnerabilities to feed people into his Ponzi. Newbies or Jr. Members will be desperate for what? 0.00004BTC to 0.00003BTC? That's less than .20 cents, I believe. He wants to make it hard for you to get a good amount of money, so he won't have to come out of his pockets too much. If you're going to post 300 posts for .012 you're crazy.
745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use A Crypto Currency, End A War on: June 06, 2014, 05:03:35 PM
Catchy slogan. It's good, since no other currency can currently say it. But of course, if Bitcoin is mass adopted, war and violence will start to occur. Nice slogan, though.

How? War is incredibly expensive. If governments cannot inflate currency to fund wars their ability to launch them is limited. Thre is no way to finance a major war in a bit coin universe.

A minor war is still a war, or a 'regular' war. It doesn't have to be necessarily major is what I'm getting at. Hell, it might be a war against the government (Rebellion). And not to mention, if it's adopted, the GOVERNMENTS - yes, I'm writing this in caps - WILL MOST LIKELY GO TO WAR AGAINST EACH OTHER.
746  Other / Meta / Re: Can we make posting 3-10x in a row illegal please? on: June 06, 2014, 04:57:09 PM
it wasn't all junk posts, so i don't mind PG doing all that.. i wouldn't read through all of it though.

They don't need to be junk for it to be spam.... there is no reason he can't edit posts to add more information like the rest of us. That was probably the mildest of his multi posts, just go back through his history. The 11 post streak I remember was literally 2 mins between posts, adding more and more stuff.

I guess for some post count is more important than not spamming everyone else. I have him on ignore but 11 ignores in a row sure takes up half the page.

you have something against old man PG? seems like a few around here do, but there's always drama.

Only his posting habits. Its tiresome going into a thread and seeing the sheer amount of spam when he locks his teeth into something.

Ignore <--- works wonders for spammers.

Never ignored anybody on this forum, or any other forum I've been on. PG contributes tons to BitcoinTalk, like when he said I play with crayons. It would be a waste to ignore him, meaning, ignoring all of his awesome posts.

748  Economy / Economics / Re: Is 1 bitcoin a decent and good investment? on: June 06, 2014, 02:18:44 PM
I'm not going to say 'If Bitcoin' this or 'Bitcoin will be this high in' or state a whatever-the-hell value. A investment is a investment. It could lose value. Crash. Be forgotten. It can also rise. It's a 50/50 chance.
749  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be careful-Attempting mugging at in person trade on: June 06, 2014, 01:03:49 PM
Wow. I am glad you got out of that situation okay. maybe inside a coffee shop or restaurant would be safer next time.

Well, as OP stated, he met with the guys in a crowded public place. Maybe next time you should bring a friend with you, especially when handling sums that might tempt muggers/scammers.

Also, it isn't mandatory to have the wallet with you when you do a trade. Bitcoin allows a lot of stuff, just use your imagination.

I think meeting in a building is better. If they would've gotten his phone in that square, he probably wouldn't have ever found them again. Being walled off is a bit better than being out in the open. In a building, two guys running with gas canisters to the doors is suspicious. In a square, it's still suspicious, but they have more freedom to roam.

I would suggest meeting in a cafe, or something. And bringing a friend. At least one that can defend you. You don't want Teddy the Bitch crying in a corner while they try to steal your Starbucks.
751  Other / Meta / Re: Can we make posting 3-10x in a row illegal please? on: June 06, 2014, 02:31:30 AM
I think it's annoying, too. But isn't there a character limit for posts and threads? I think it'll be useful only then, though.
752  Economy / Services / Re: Need to find someone? Been Scammed? Need background check on borrower? on: June 06, 2014, 01:34:53 AM
Could vouch for his services. Paid him .01BTC in exchange for a DoX, to see how Anonymoose I was online.
753  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I got scammed for 3 BTC , what to do now .. on: June 06, 2014, 01:25:37 AM
Username + Bitcoin Address would be useful. And proof of transaction. Not a ton of information, and why wouldn't you use escrow?
754  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best bitcoin casino? on: June 06, 2014, 01:23:36 AM
It depends if you're talking about a digital or physical gambling site.
755  Economy / Services / Re: NEWBIES & JR MEMBERS Signature PAYMENT - NEW RATES! on: June 06, 2014, 01:22:13 AM
You've only got 25 activity. If you created a new account now you'd have 28 by Tuesday. Plus, what does it matter? None of the big advertising campaigns will probably let you join with negative trust anyway.

Well how do I get rid of it then? Or at least get 'em back.

'Getting 'em back' will be worse than talking it over or dealing with it. You can't get rid of it. The people who negative rep'd you can only get rid of it.
756  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Truth About Bitcoin!! on: June 06, 2014, 12:55:32 AM
Best Bitcoin fan fic there is, I guess. Really, you have some talent when it comes to the 'truth'.
757  Economy / Lending / Re: CEX.IO GHS borrowing on: June 06, 2014, 12:54:15 AM
Why would someone loan a GH/s, anyway? CEX.IO is barely profitable on them, and you could get way more than giving someone a few GH/s back.
758  Bitcoin / Press / Re: Ebay CEO serious about bitcoin on: June 06, 2014, 12:48:18 AM
I don't use E-Bay, but I find it amazing how first Dish, and than E-Bay. Other companies are thinking about it as well. I think Amazon even fired up about it.
759  Economy / Services / Re: Need to find someone? Been Scammed? Need background check on borrower? on: June 06, 2014, 12:47:10 AM
Would you be willing to do a DoX of me (Will pay you.). Kinda want to see if there's any trace of my personal identity online.
760  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ebay dispute on: June 06, 2014, 12:43:02 AM
E-Bay sides with the customers more, and Pay-Pal does, too, most of the time. This has happened numerous times. Customers have even broken goods themselves, like fine china or claimed that fake gold was fake gold. Guess who won?
