7541  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The best way to profit in cryptocurrency on: January 02, 2019, 04:21:03 AM
As I see the situation the best way to earn in current market condition is to buy crypto by cash and wait Bull trend. Only in this case we can make really good profit!  Grin Grin Grin Grin

Yes that's one scenario that most investors are doing. Just buy cheap coins and then hold as long as you can or till there is a massive profit to make specially if it has been pump and bull run happens.

But there are set of investors who do short or day trading, it more riskier but if you know what you're doing then definitely you can also make good profits daily or even monthly. Just choose what fits your needs though, because majority of the traders are too emotional that's why they just prefer to hold.
7542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather set for New Year's Eve fight in Japan on: January 02, 2019, 03:50:31 AM
Why is everyone angry when Floyd won the fight? You have an experienced 40 year old, 50 - 0, best pound for pound boxer versus a young kickboxer fighting in boxing rules. How was this fight supposed to end?

Not angry but a bit disgusted. We all know that Floyd said he is the GOAT, but how come you became one of the greatest if you keeps on fighting for the money? And I think you know that there are predominantly Pacquaio fans around the community and they wanted to see Floyd lost and take away that 0. lol.
7543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH back to second place on coinmarketcap and overtake XRP again? on: January 02, 2019, 03:45:27 AM
81% of your votes show that ethereum will be able to return to second place on the marketcap. That is proof that people believe in ethereum more and want it back.
And that will be a true story, there was less than 7 millions dollars gap between ethereum's marketcap and ripple. we could surpass ripple again and this might happen tomorrow.
Ethreum gives a lot of advantages to the whole of crypto ecosystem.

Unfortunately, it's not the case because i just looked at cmc just now and see that XRP is still on the second spot however, ETH has a huge spike in the last day or so. So its going to be a tough battle for ETH unless the fork really propel them back to the second spot so let's wait and see.

It's going to be interesting on the second week of January. Might be a good time to accumulate right now and take the profits later when Constantinople goes live in mid January.
7544  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run or Dead Cat Bouncing ? on: January 02, 2019, 02:58:53 AM
I'll call it dead. Unless consistency in gaining is observed then we can consider it a bull run. Longest bull-trap I had experienced was like around 1.5k of hopes lost. I was about to call it gains but then it was a pull. Right now, I won't expect it to get past 5k or even 4.5k. I would rather be satisfied by seeing it climbing slowly to 4k (I am seeing 3.8k right now) rather than a burst gain of 4k in an hour where that's where I will presume it is a bull trap.

I guess by now we can say that it's really a dead cat bounce or a trap initiated by who else, the big whales again. Everyone was ecstatic when the price reaches above $4K but it didn't sustained because speculators cashing out for the holidays. Right now it's $3800 again, thus, I don't expect a dramatic rise, we might see the price trading sideways for the next months or so.
7545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler was being robbed on: January 02, 2019, 02:37:25 AM
Recently, a Korean National has been robbed here in my place while riding the Taxi going home and lose the money that he won in the casinos, Its around 4Million Pesos or $75,000. This is not new in gambling industry since many incidents like this before. Do you ever think its a real accident or its just an inside job where the employees of casinos are involve or the casino itself?

This is a once in a lifetime opportunities to become a millionaire, and yet it is being taken easily by a more greedy people. Now I’m wondering if its still safe to go to casinos or better to play online? What’s your thought about this?

Here’s the link for your reference (it’s not translated in english but I’ve already share the summary of this news):
https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/balitambayan/balita/679284/koreanong-nanalo-ng-p4m-sa-casino-hinoldap-sa-pasay/story/
Most likely it was an insider or someone employed by the casino to rob him, but there were other possibilities such as the people who were there when he won a big victory by watching the game. That's why online gambling is now more popular because there are many security reasons there.

I doubt that it's a inside job, no cell phones is allowed if employees are in the floor so there's no way that they if they connived with a gang or something, to communicate and identify the target. It was one of the gang's member who saw the man winning, and he works with the outside member once the man went out.
7546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Triggers Gambling Addiction on: January 02, 2019, 02:27:17 AM
Emotion or lack of control of it . They just keeping playing at expensed of their financial health & well being

Exactly, most of the gamblers I know can't control their emotions. I see them still going even though they have lost so much money and thinking that they can recoup everything and then go back to normal life. But it's not the case and they turn out to be a compulsive gambler even if they know the negative consequences it can bring not just for themselves but for their love ones as well, they continue to gamble until it's too late.
7547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather set for New Year's Eve fight in Japan on: January 01, 2019, 07:49:05 PM
Pointless waste of time, he knocked him down 3 times in 139 seconds. $9,000,000 for Floyd in under 5 minutes work.
Just like I was saying, Floyd is damaging his legacy as a professional fighter, all he seems to be thinking about is money but he forgets about pride and honor. Sad to watch.
I had a quick look at the event on YT and it was just a circus event. The fact that no bookmaker offered any odds for this (not even Bet365) was a strong signal that no one took this seriously.

Floyd really doesn't care about his legacy as a fighter, for him he is the greatest, 50-0 and really doing it for the sake of money. And maybe in the future, when he retires,  there could be a good argument why he is not the greatest boxer of his era simply because of this kind of fight he accepts and most boxing pundits will argue that Manny is the best hands down.
7548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCC, have anyone hear it again? on: January 01, 2019, 02:37:37 PM
Hi all,

My wife was broken by BCC, drop from 400 to 15 for more one year

Have anyone hear something about it?

Tks

Weird though, it's been almost a year since the news came out that they are shutting down.

https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2018/01/17/bitconnect-bitcoin-scam-cryptocurrency/

I guess its everyone job to really monitor your investments. Anyhow, I don't know how much your wife has invested so its a lost already.
7549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: January 01, 2019, 05:25:30 AM
Russell Westbrook made up his game and they avenge their loses by dominating the Mavericks at home.
After a poor shooting in their previous game, Westrbrook come out hot with a tripple double tonight (32pts, 11 ast, 11 reb).
He is monster tonight, he proved that they are way better than the Mavericks especially at home, big congrats to him and to the backers.

Westbrook went at it right from the start. And he is very much aggressive in the offense and hit those beautiful bank shots. They already build a comfortable lead going into the second quarter and they didn't relinquished it even though Dallas has been hitting 3's. Good revenge win for the Thunder.
7550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am a loser. My only question now is, how do I tell my wife on: January 01, 2019, 02:58:27 AM
The OP didn't come back to his thread so I'm assuming he did tell his wife the truth but we don't know what really happen after that.

I think if she's really your wife, then you have nothing to hide from her even if you're loosing. Moreover, I can see some greens in the market already and that's like an inspiration that you still haven't loose all yet. There's still light at the end of the tunnel.

We can't assumed that, women doesn't want to be kept in secret so maybe that's why the OP is really depressed or something because he really knows that the wife hate what he did. Hopefully though everything turns well and at least we should hear what happens to the OP.
7551  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin volume is still rising ? on: January 01, 2019, 02:48:37 AM
Do you think Bitcoin still on the rise in terms of market capitalization ?
Bitcoin volume has dropped in the past three months, but continues to maintain its large share of the market. Maybe once the market regains strength again, the volume will increase.

Indeed, bitcoin dominance rising in the middle bitcoin volume decreasing. But i think the volume will increasing again when market start to recover again. I do believe 2019 will a good year and the price will increasing

I'm sorry but I have to disagree. Bitcoin is not rising because its evident on the price levels. If volume is going up then obviously price is to spike as well. But this year its not the case though, There were some point that even XRP beat bitcoin in terms of daily trade volume.

Dominance is good but it's not a indication. What everyone should learn is to look at the trading pattern so that you can grasp the overall picture of the market.
7552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ADA or XRP on: January 01, 2019, 02:41:59 AM
I think it's better to invest in both coins because cardano and xrp are included in potential and promising coins, these two
coins are also included in the top CMC so it's safe to invest in them, invest the capital you have on both of these coins

Exactly, both of them have the real potential to spike specially in a bullish market so its better to buy them and least you have diversified your portfolio.

Just remember though to invest what you can afford, the risk is still their and we all know that in just an instant all our money can be gone so just be cautious and should have a good entry/exit plan as well.
7553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather set for New Year's Eve fight in Japan on: January 01, 2019, 02:33:49 AM
It looks like Pacquiao trolled Mayweather with this tweet. Probably he is not the one who tweeted it because I'm sure someone from his family or team are handling his tweeter account. But still its very funny.  Grin

7554  Economy / Economics / Re: What can be done to make bitcoin stable? on: January 01, 2019, 02:05:11 AM
Don't worry about how lower price of bitcoin and altcoin, just hold your asset because usually always happen at bitcoin change price for lower, did you remember how many time bitcoin drop but could growing up to higher price?
history tell us about that, and maybe current movement will repeat the last history and create new highest price.but we need high liquidity and market capitalization to make bitcoin great again.

And that is the problem now, People got burned here left and not going back anytime soon. Unless they see that the market seems to slowly recover in 2019 then we will see the cash flowing again.

As for the price to be stable, no, it won't happen. This is a open market and everyone can decide when he/she will sell or purchase more, and you can also be a long term holder, or just pure speculating and shorting the market.
7555  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit "trading" - buying and selling Bitcointalk merit on: January 01, 2019, 01:46:48 AM
I think merit system is very good thinking by admin of bitcointalk.org. By merit system anybody can know his posting quality when another person give merit for his quality post.

But if anybody misuse this merit and sell it by money its fully opposite of forum rules and regulation and i think it should be punishment for that.

There's already a punishment as tagging the account of merit abusers. It's not easy to spot it however, if its blatantly obviously at some point, DT members will not be hesitant to give that account a red paint. However, I'm not really sure about the red trust is effective though, because if you go around bounties, there are still campaigns accepting participants even though they have a red trust.

Merit abusers will always be here as most of them are after for what they will earn if they will rank up
. If you are not greedy, you will just do your job and use the community to your advantage. Learn more about the world of crypto and maybe, contribute to this community if you already have something that you can share with.

This is the very reason why merit was put into place in the beginning, to really deter newbies from joining bounty campaigns because they are notorious for their shit posting which the mods and admins doesn't like.

Red trust might help but I'm still seeing a lot of members with red trust still carrying signatures and are in a bounty campaign. So this abuse of merit trading/selling will continue, so we need to be very vigilant. And if we noticed something fishy then I urge everyone to report it as well.
7556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is growing at nonstop rates in my country on: January 01, 2019, 01:30:34 AM
In most under-developed countries, where there are few employment opportunities, people tend to try gambling to change their faith. That's one reason why gambling is increasing all over the world.
I don't think gambling is popular in under developed county. When people have money they can try options but when they don't have much to live then their options are limited. I guess westerners are the targeted customers for gambling industry.

I don't know if you have heard about Macau in Asia or 3 big casinos in the Philippines. So it's not just westerners' but big Asian whales as well are the main target now of the gambling industry.

That's why this sort of consortium of gambling company are willing to open to 3rd world countries to operate and the government are willing to cooperate because of the the tax or even to attract tourist.
7557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm buying alts now on: January 01, 2019, 01:17:38 AM
Jus bought in alt coins. Mostly dapp coins. I have a bunch of them. And a little less in Bitcoin. At this point I can handle the losses of alts. Hopefully it doesnt go 160% losses.
Here's a few to list
Neo. Ada. Xlm. Bch. Eth. Skycoin. Strat. Lisk waves, nuls, gxchain, Komodo , etc, qtum, Tron , Eos . Ox, ontology, pivx , zilliqa, and metaverse etp.
Year 2019 will be another bear market? Hopefully not.

I see some good altcoins that you buy. The good thing is that they're so cheap that you can literally purchase huge amount and be a so called 'Bagholder'. I think you know the secret that if the price continue to fall then its either you buy more or continue to hold.

Let's see what 2019 brings. I'm sure that everyone is very positive and optimistic that we can see a good bounce, not necessarily all-time-high but some sort of reversal to bring back the confidence of investors again.
7558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler was being robbed on: January 01, 2019, 01:08:23 AM
When we have crypto gambling why we need to go to the fiat based casinos,no one can rob your crypto currencies which is more secure and when playing in online more convenient too.

You can go around the this board and I'm sure you can find the answer. In hindsight, people loves to go to casino because they feel the ambiance and atmosphere, instead of just playing in your home with no one. You can socialized with other gamblers and even have free drinks. Grin

I'm guessing it was a real accident because if it was an inside job several cases should've been reported.

Gambling in a casino is never safe because anything can happen but it won't always happen. Even if you're with someone they could easily outnumber you.

You're safe until you go out and bring you cash with you and criminals has already followed you. He think he feels safe having all that cash with him, so its totally his fault.
7559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather set for New Year's Eve fight in Japan on: January 01, 2019, 12:59:16 AM
I watched snippet of the fight and Floyd toy with the kid and even enjoy everything. However, when the corner of Nasukawa throw the towel, the kid cries. I pity him because he really thought that he is going to win against Floyd. He took it seriously but in the ring you can see that Floyd is way bigger and of course since it's a boxing rule, he won't and can't win.
