This is all fine. In fact, it is an improvement as all has been automated for faster email delivery and overall customer service. I signed back up for service again, been out for a couple months because I've been trying to do my own analysis, but I think I was just doing better with with your service. Yesterday I sent you 3 months payment to my previous address from a couple months ago, figured I'd start on the 1st of the month, but I haven't received this new update. I sent you an email about this a couple minutes ago. =) EDIT: Just got the update! Thanks! =) You're welcome I was in The plane but modern Technology enabled me to send it before take off :-) |

$5 looks good but the problem for LTC is right now its is positively PEGGED to BTC.
When it hits Gox, it will break out of this hyper-dependency on the BTC price and I agree, $10-20 is possible, not more than that unless BTC goes crazy and pulls the whole crypto-economy up with it.

Just watched an interesting "goldmoney" interview with Erik Townsend. With Bitcoin in mind listening to the first 15 or so minutes can be quite exciting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhmmvCgRiewThe rest is also interesting (more about energy / resources / china). Here are some of the points Mr. Townsends makes: About USD / EUR / JEN collapse:- The fears many people have about the USD collapsing are based on well-founded concerns, but those things are going to happen to Europe and Japan first.
- This will result in capital flight into the USD
- This in turn will enable US govt/fed to print more
- The ultimate consequences of this will be horrific for the United States
About what might happen next in global currency space:- There will likely be a new global reserve currency replacing the USD everyone will be forced to use in international trade and new power will go to the new global reserve bankers.
- Mechanisms by which people will be forced to convert USD->new world currency at unfavorable rates will be interesting to see.
- Although he doesn't like it, Townsend thinks it will surely be a fiat currency
- Why fiat? Because a sound money (gold) standard would take power from the governments and they wont give up that power and especially in the US the people are cheering the government so there wont be a revolution that would be necessary to make govt give up power.
about US / russia / china / gold / cold war:- Russia/China are buying physical (not only gold, but other resources they would have to buy from the west as well)
- Townsend thinks what we're seeing is the early stages of the 500 year east-west power cycle reversing with asia being the next hegemonial superpower.
- There will be a cold war between China and US
- China is preparing for USD collapse (gold is hedge)
- China is preparing for collapse of commerce with west by stockpiling coal, gold, copper,...
about energy / US protectionism- US might decouple US oil from free market, creating a world in which US pay $80 / barrel and the free market (rest of world) pay $200/barrel
- This protectionism would bring on trade wars and other international tensions
- Even if North America (incl. Canada) was able to achieve energy independence consider that this would mean that the rest of the world would no longer trade oil in USD and therefor the US would lose its "exorbitant privilege" (breakdown of petrodollar system -> higher US interest rates -> US bond and currency crisis).
- Hence the idea of everything getting better because of (unlikely) US energy independence is not accurate.
I thought those were interesting points so I wrote them up for you guys to maybe discuss some. |

Ok. Let me make this super clear. Anyone who has expressed interest in claiming before yesterday (aka, contacted Quentin or myself with the intention of claiming) should be in the clear. The deadline is for those who have never contacted us nor made any attempt at claiming. S3052, you've had 6 months to claim and rather than working with me you've only complained up to this point. As long as you've expressed interest to Quentin in claiming before today, your claim should be accepted.
I have contacted quentin on Dec 29, 2012 and have not received a reply.
It is true that I complained about the process but still have the right to my shares. It would be great if we can bury that fight we had. The key issue is as i am in a French speaking area and have just found last week a lawyer who can help me on the paperwork. this is the truth. I will comply to your process now, even if it is costing me days and money. But again, lets bury this fight. |

I think were done for today. Or maybe even the weekend. That would be fine with me. Lets not get over excited. That usually results in a crash.
I don't think the action is over for today. mt.gox appears just about ready to retest 130 again (and will most likely fail once more - still about 5000 BTC there). YeH, probably not the action itself but i can see it stay around 129 for a few days. But i can also see myself veing wrong  Eh, I was half right at least. I will take what I can get. It's great to be able to watch this live if you were already all in before it started.  That's why I'm all in since a good couple of months now! It was a bit painful to see the massive drop especially as I'd been selling some bitcoin for a friend at £168 but although I could in principle have doubled my bitcoins had my timing been perfect life is a lot less stressful with the decision already made. And at least I don't get the 'doh, I've missed the boat' feeling at times like this

So I'm starting to consider to donate my bonds or their value to Bitcoin Foundation if you offer this option.
This option is not on the table at this time as the claims process is nowhere near over. If we ever get to a place where most claims have been paid, we can revisit the issue. Could we revisit the issue now? I'd prefer my portion be donated to WikiLeaks rather than Bitcoin Foundation. The claims process is over on Thursday. Once we are over that hurdle, I'll be giving out details of what will happen with "unclaimed" Gigamining contracts. If you haven't claimed, please do.

Why does your latest report list your last weeks DAX trading recommendation as active/in-profit-zone when it actually was a net loss? The price hit your recommended stop loss before it went down hard.
you are right. I checked again and yes, the stop was exceeded by 4 points before reversing down. |
