But isn't it possible to change the software to make the miner kompatibel with other pools?
No, the pools need to be made compatible with the miner.

Hi,
did anyone solved the problem cgminer crashes the Raspberry Pi? (Raspbian) After putting slub_debug=FP into /boot/config.txt systenm holds for about 8-24 hours then crashes on kernel paging:
Jun 8 12:00:20 RPinode kernel: [50708.328638] Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 223fab15
I could find many other people having the same but no definitive fix or workaround
It's a linux kernel crash; i.e. an operating system crash. No userspace program should be able to do that so it's not cgminer at fault.

Good morning, people. I'm going to try your luck with you , what I'm not sure about, is statistics. Apart from this humble window? How do you warn of the resolved block? In pool, or by my worker? In your wallet.

The stats for the main miner are off because they have 12000 miners which the hashmeter can no longer measure accurately and is only showing 52ph. Any plans to fix this? Not particularly unfortunately. The locking required for one user's stats to be locally more accurate would be expensive code wise, and will adversely affect scalability of the overall pool. It's more important that the pool scales linearly with number of users. Currently the pool is servicing 12500 clients at 3200 transactions per second and could service about 20x that on the current server thanks to that scalability. At this stage there is no need to look at a bigger server as well as I'm not sure how long this hashrate will even stay with us, and unfortunately still expect a downturn again.

Are you able to discern if these 12000 miners are the same or are they rotated out w new ones after x number of hours of burn in? If rotated any idea of the time frame for the rotation of each miner? Thanks!
I can't. The rate of connection and disconnection is high and most of them are mining to the same workername.

Oh darn..I was hoping some mysterious benevolent entity was just being generous and mining without a payout address. But of course the derp's say otherwise
So they are literally off the charts...cool.... Now if they could just find a few blocks and help us out of our bad luck slump.
Pretty much. It's a bit of a slump but we don't have that many blocks so it wouldn't take much to bring us back in line. At least I know I can trust the drivers that run on them since, well, they're mine.

All great ideas... but it's 6 years too late and the reality is... antpool and S9 miners.

|
What's up with the stats page?
for 6 hours we are +160 P but active users reports only about 60 P Share rate certainly seems to confirm we are indeed over 160P
everyone's derp is taking a beating (well not the top dog/whale of course) Strange

Is there any "normal" way to tell if I am getting block or I am "postponed"?
Click on the "work" tab. You'll see if you're in the payout or postponed list.

CK
Are you working on any further firmware updates/changes?
Not at the moment, no.
|
|

Pool's now at 135PH, the most it's ever been. Of course mostly Halong burn in still, but not complaining It's also servicing about 10,000 clients at the moment.

i am actually interested on how loud this miner can be. i did not find any info on the matter on their site. only that the fans push 206 cfm of air.
Hair-dryer loud in efficient mode, vacuum cleaner loud during regular operation.

If one is in the Postponed group but solves a block, is there any remuneration at all?
Or does it improve ones stats in some way like moving up the payout ladder for the next block?
It adds a stored payout amount which is added to the next block, and moves you up the pay queue. Those that aren't in the top 100 but are above the dust limit get put into the pay queue depending on how many block they've been postponed. Those that have been postponed the most blocks are first to get paid.

Will Bitcoin be affected by the 51% attacks going on in the news?
Does this have any impact on mining pools / solo pools?
No

New record hashrate: [2018-06-04 14:02:15.304] Pool:{"hashrate1m": "100P", "hashrate5m": "97P", "hashrate15m": "94.9P", "hashrate1hr": "86.2P", "hashrate6hr": "64.8P", "hashrate1d": "45.7P", "hashrate7d": "26.3P"}
Again this is Halong burn in, so it will be transient only, but it is most welcome
