761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling All Fiat In Bank For BTC? on: December 09, 2023, 08:31:50 PM
I am pretty sure that when people say sell "all" they do not mean the money they are going to buy milk with next day, that's not the point. Most people have two separate accounts, one where they invest, and one where they spend. You may have 800 dollars in your spending account, while also have 8k dollars in your savings, two separate places and not at the same place, could be even different banks and in this case could be bitcoin too. When they say they want to sell it all, they mean the savings, the investment, could be interest account, could be stocks, could be gold, doesn't really matter, just have money in your account for living, and rest all goes to bitcoin, and I have been like that for 7 years now.
Of course, most people who say this have already separated their budget for investment and for the family basic needs and necessities. No one will decide to risk all his fiat in an investment where profitability is still not highly 100% guaranteed, as some may still end up losing most especially those who are new in the field. So given this fact, an investor knows already and has seen it coming that he might also lose in the end, that's why investing on the amount that is manageable to lose is very important.

The safe strategy is only invest when you have extra money. All investments are still unsafe, so invest and just don't expect that everything will go according to your plan. Expect the unexpected in any of your investment.
762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: December 09, 2023, 01:08:50 PM
Regardless of your status, it should still be a portion of your income as gambling all of your income is just like committing a suicide or living a life that there's no tomorrow.

That's true...... No gambler has an infinite bankroll, so even if you are filthy rich, you need to take care of your finances and allocate only a certain percentage to expose in gambling.

I expect that when a wealthy individual gambles, it's primarily for entertainment, reducing the likelihood of addiction as long as they remain responsible. Rich people do find ways to enjoy their money, but they are not as reckless as those who, out of desperation, try to make money through gambling.
763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Behavioral Change!!! on: December 09, 2023, 11:21:06 AM
Does any of feel behavioral change in you based on the win/loss in gambling.
Of course behavioral change is a normal thing in gambling because there is no way someone will lose a bet and be happy because there would always be this regret about going to the gambling on the first place, ......

I think that should not be called regret, you'll only regret if you find what you are doing is wrong and you don't want to do it again. This is gambling, it's expected that we will experience losing and winning, so we have to accept our losses, what we should do is to learn from our mistakes and improve our strategy so we will have more winnings than losses, which is a formula of a profitable gambling.
764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney (9th of December) on: December 09, 2023, 08:03:19 AM
I wish this match happened with both fighters equally young. Right now this fight is tilted towards Haney because he is clearly at the top of his game. He is young. He is very athletic and hungry. Prograis could have much higher chances if he was as young as Haney. Although he is still a great boxer who can give Haney a good match and he has also got those powerful punches, I think Haney can easily manage to maintain a good distance and win by points.
Yes, Haney is really the favorite in this fight, especially since he hasn't been touched by defeat at all since making his debut on the professional stage. In fact, in 30 fights Haney managed to win 15 times by KO or TKO. In addition, Haney has a record of holding five lightweight championship belts.

Yeah, it's all available in here https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/741718

While bookies are made Haney as the favorite, it doesn't guarantee he will win and will become a champion. All his fights probably are won easily by him but pause of a moment and see who own's this division.. It's Prograis, he is the defending champion, so being an underdog is probably a great opportunity to bet on. Actually, there's only two possible outcome we could see, either Haney winning via UD or Prograis will via KO.
765  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you regret also for ever knowing about gambling? on: December 09, 2023, 07:02:54 AM

People who're regret for knowing about gambling are obviously gambling addicts.

You nailed it, LOL.. and that is shameful, because it comes with blaming gambling for their fate.

Actually, people should only regret things if they do some bad things, or what they learn is against the law or practice in our religion, but gambling, nooooo.... This is fun, why would anyone regret knowing it, don't they want to be entertained?
766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risking 1% in Gambling on: December 09, 2023, 06:29:17 AM
You decide to gamble with the amount of money you can afford to lose but I never want to lose my money by gambling. I have earned even one percent of my total money so I definitely don't want to lose even one percent of my money by gambling.

So does your statement implies that you are anti gambling? If so, then there's no reason for you even participate in the gambling discussion as your statement is more like discouraging people because of the possibility of losing. No offense, but gambling is not about losing that you'll have to spend for it, it's about enjoying, getting the entertain and you are willing to risk money for that, even if you lose.
767  Economy / Economics / Re: On retirement on: December 08, 2023, 10:36:05 PM
What term retirement usually denotes to is, to stop working. People often don't like job, so to retire usually tends to be on top of the list. However, if one likes what he does, he will do something similar to pass the time even after retirement.

Now, I'll be honest, I dunno what I am driving at but I wanted to spark topic about retirement. Now, you go,
Retirement does not mean that you'll be stop working eventually. That is only a choice. But if you have your own business or investment, then you can still work on it hands on so that the rate of success will be higher. However, if your old age makes you incapable already, then that's the time to just focus and rely on your retirement. Or you can still rely from your business profits depending how it works based on how that trusted person manages your business.

But most likely, your retirement should be your best time to enjoy yourself and feel the freedom that comes with retirement age. Unfortunately, some who also reach retirement age are also struggling with their own diseases that made them being deprived to enjoy their last days in the universe.

768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 08, 2023, 02:47:02 PM

By the way, is there a in season tournament champion MVP? Because I like to know if there's a betting odds on that as definitely I'm going for Lebron James to win.

In every championship game, there's always an MVP. Currently, Tyrese Haliburton holds the number 1 position in the rankings. However, the competition now seems to be narrowed down to him and LeBron. The MVP award is likely to go to the star player whose team will be the champ.....

https://www.nba.com/news/in-season-tournament-mvp-ladder-dec-7

here's a proof that theres an odds for that specific competition.

https://www.sportskeeda.com/basketball/nba-in-season-tournament-mvp-odds-top-5-candidates-ahead-semifinals-ft-lebron-james
Quote
Coming in at No. 1 is Antetokounmpo’s co-star Damian Lillard, who has also played a critical role in the Bucks’ 5-0 tournament record. The seven-time All-Star leads the pack with +375 MVP odds.
769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for newbies on: December 08, 2023, 01:31:35 PM
Hello everyone, as you can see I'm new here, I'm looking for recommendations for a game to bet some money that I don't mind losing, I would like recommendations and if possible a recommendation for somewhere that teaches how to play. Thank you very much. Grin

I can recommend a lot of gambling sites but as to what game you'll play, that's on your personal choice. It's your money, so you need to ensure that you are getting entertain while you are gambling, mat it be casinos games or sports betting, it doesn't matter, what you like is what you should do.

Gambling is fun but risky, this two has to be always in our mind because it will help you to be discipline all the time and you can only gamble "some money that you don't mind losing"..... Good luck on finding games, and welcome to the forum.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon said he would close Bitcoin down if he was in government on: December 08, 2023, 12:35:55 PM
Dude's a complete ass when it comes to bitcoin and crypto in general. He's never really changed his stance when it comes to bitcoin, and thinks that it's the only asset that works 'against' the government through money laundering, scams, etc. It's obvious that he'll prefer fiat over bitcoin as this guy is a banker, and a CEO of a large bank at that. Of course, if people were to switch into crypto, he'll be losing his business and he doesn't want that to happen obviously.
And not only that, he's probably into money laundering business that's why his opposition for bitcoin is extreme. He would not be acting like that if he's not protecting something or someone. But anyways, his words are obviously the same with those people who know nothing about bitcoin so I'm not actually surprised with that.

Bitcoin has also gained a lot of its users and enthusiasts, and these people would not want to see Dimon in the government either. Dimon can say everything he wants, but the fact remains that bitcoin has nothing to fear with it. Bitcoin is made so we can gain freedom from the shadows of the government, and its not made for criminal use.
771  Economy / Economics / Re: Inventing a job is better than finding a job on: December 06, 2023, 11:40:31 PM
Based on my experience, I feel more fulfillment and satisfaction inventing on my own job. The risks are definitely hard to overcome in the beginning, but when you get used to your own job and you feel more satisfied with your compensation, then I see there's no reason anymore to get a real job and get employed.

However, security and stability on my current job is what makes me more worried, unlike if you are employed, your employer will take care of the rest. But I don't see it as a threat but a big challenge on my part, that is maximizing every opportunity that is available and saving and investing my profits to have a stable retirement in the future.
772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investing - DCA on: December 06, 2023, 10:55:42 PM
I suggest you focus on bitcoin and invest all in. That is, if you want to maximize your profits from long term hodling. Bitcoin has more potentials to succed compared to Ethereum, so invest in bitcoin first and when you're currently making decent profits already, then diversifying your bitcoin with ethereum is a perfect choice.

DCA is the key for long term success. Although you could also consider doing DCA with ethereum but knowing ethereum is only good for short term duration, then for now just stick to bitcoin.
773  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading advice for newbies on: December 06, 2023, 02:00:37 PM
Hmm, OP seems like you are quite experienced in trading, are you? TBH, trading is not a game like gambling where you can lose and earn, here in trading there are potential risks but with the proper strategy and dedication towards trading skills and risk management, trading can be a full-time career.

My advice to the newbies is only, to stay consistent follow disciple dont be greedy hold your patience level, and always test yourself with new experiences because the market will test you every time. Dont be an emotional fool. Strictly follow the analysis of the way to control your emotions. Here I wrote just and covered most of the things but all fall in the same category called decipline.
The difference between trading and gambling is that trading makes you earn profits, while gambling makes you lose your capital most of the time. So for obvious reason, trading becomes more profitable if you have the knowledge and skills to trade, and with helpful strategies that will make your trades work and profit.

Being greedy is part of a trader, as well as being emotional. But if you are determined to win your trades and stay off from losses, then discipline yourself by not being greedy and emotional. If you can't get rid of them, then try to control them so you can still be more capable to end your trades with profits.
774  Economy / Economics / Re: When the world is evolving, follow the trend. on: December 05, 2023, 11:59:05 PM
Well fast forward to today where digital currencies like Bitcoin are stealing the spotlight, it’s like our money is gone all high-tech.But tech innovation is normal right? Jumping into the digital money game seems like a good move, but while it's convenient, we have to watch out to expand our knowledge like privacy concerns and security issues hanging around. Scammers innovate too.
They say learn to ride with the trend and take advantage of every innovation that will let you live your life more convenient and satisfying. Which means, you need to upgrade your knowledge as well and if privacy and security are what it takes to safely adopt those innovations, then be more vigilant and cautious to whatever important transactions you made online. The internet world is probably the home of the scammers nowadays, deal it wisely and smart.

While innovations are great to live life's at its best, but we should also learn not to speed up on its adoption as they can be sometimes do harm to us. Take it slowly until you can finally say that you're capable enough to adjust and deal with the current trends and innovations with confidence and positivity.
775  Economy / Economics / Re: Idea and money are very important to investment. on: December 05, 2023, 11:32:55 PM
In some cases, when you have an idea but lack money to push forward your idea to the next level, things may just remain there and die also thesame way, except the person work out extra miles ways to make sure that they make it turns a reality from dream, we need money in life generally, we also have to get that idealogy of sustaining what we have an idea on to make it last and not ended a wasted efforts.
That's true, some people have the idea but lack of money and think that the idea is worth pushing through. They see a good future for their idea, and it is such a waste to let it continue to be an idea without making it a reality.

Some people who have the same scenario as this are looking for those people with money and they ask those people to be an investor in their idea/project to have enough funds to initiate. This would be the best option instead of putting it to waste or waiting until the time you have made enough money to start the project.
This is quite a good option but did you know that if you convince others to invest in your idea and later on fails, then you will be held responsible for that. That is why others still hesitate to adopt that because they already see it coming. Lucky are those who were not blamed, but instead those investors chose to revise the idea and make it work.

It's a great advantage if you have both the idea and money because you can easily proceed to your plan and start the process. While it's a great challenge for those who still have to earn their money to make the plan work, but gain more satisfying results when you overcome your financial hardship and still make the investment work and succeed.
776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoins with Masonry Earnings. on: December 05, 2023, 10:46:38 PM
Regardless of it's amount, the important thing here is you get to start with bitcoin investment as not have all the courage to take the risk investing in bitcoin. There's no problem actually if you invest with a very small amount, as long as you also have the will and intention to make it grow and increase the volume of your bitcoin portfolio. With the help of DCA, that would be very possible.

Now, while you are starting to invest, make sure to increase your knowledge as well and develop your skills and strategies so you can prepare yourself if you enter bitcoin trading in the future. But for now, you can try to add some side hustles so you can gain additional income. That way, you can start DCAing so you can prepare your portfolio for the upcoming bitcoin halving.
777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: December 04, 2023, 01:04:58 PM
Energetic import of NLEX has been fired, he was a good one but the team decided to let him go.
Typically, no one dare to touch Pido. Politics..politics..politics everywhere on PBA.
This is not new, if you have the money and connections, you can still get out of it no matter what the issue is.
Well, that import deserve a better league and PBA might not meant for him. The PBA should be more strict when it comes to punishing whoever made a serious mistake and not the one who are the victim. This is the problem with PBA until now, there is too much politics and those who are on top always have the influence for every decisions.
Yup, it's like a new day in the league when someone touches the mighty coaches or commissioners that have power to degrade and deport you as an import. That is the reason why the local players don't want to mess them around when they are still in contract and they don't want to name names or call out. You see the other retired PBA players, they're all free to name names now as if they're able to escape from a cage that's stopping them to voice out their authentic opinions about coaches and the league itself.
That's PBA, it's full of politics, but you can tell that his league is slowly dying.

If you would notice on the recent games, their were only few auidence watching the game, so the question is, where are they gonna get the money to sustain the operation. The answer is, it's the big companies like SMB and TNT who are sponsoring this, and that's the rason why these team owners have much incfluence in the PBA. As to punishing players, it's the decision of the commissioner, maybe it' looks bias but they have the power so there's nothing we can do.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 04, 2023, 12:20:40 PM
We can hear lots of positive remarks from both camps, but we know the real battle is on the ring, and it's been Inoue that has proven many times that he doesn't struggle, instead he looks so superior, so I'm hoping it will not be the case against Tapales.

That's the truth, even with the positive news were heared from the camp of Tapales, bookies doesn't care at all as Tapales still remains as the huge underdog despite he's all a champion. Judging on the betting odds, this looks like Tapales is just a mandatory opponent (challenger) and Inoue's been consistently protecting his belt.

All we can do is just hope that the unexpected thing will happen, as that's the only way Tapales could win.

No offense to the fans.....

Yes, definitely sport bookies or at least odd makers are not concern about the news of the certain boxers training very hard and what his motivation for it or he could pull an upset. They make this odds based on what they see, what the numbers are, their previous opponents, knockout percentage and any other factors that they look at before listing the odds and then sports bookies gonna get it to be uniform across sports bookies (usually it will come to odd makers in Las Vegas).

But as sports bettors, it's up to us where our money will go. If we see that there is a possibility that Tapales, due to his training and mentality can win and then as fan, then our money goes to him.

There's no factor that would affect a change of odds, at least on the news that we've read. Both are training hard to win, it's just that Inoue is more popular, actually a superstar and he has the edge since this fight is on his home town, where you know, judges decision could be influence especially if Tapales won't be able to score a KO.

@carlisle1 - both have 2 belts, Inoue owns the WBO and WBC super bantamweight belts, while Marlon has the WBA and IBF champion.

Yeah true, that's why the winner will become an undisputed champion.
779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: December 04, 2023, 11:51:47 AM
It was a great achievement and a great win to be back in the ring and now he gonna be once again a major threat in their weight division with some intense training, he could improve his stamina and won't look worn out in the 8 rounds just like he was in this fight.

I don't know about that, what i know is that I'm not impressed with his performance despite winning via KO. His style was too boring, I mean when did he learn how to run? Ryan Garcia suppose to be a killer in the ring, he goes directly think of knocking out his opponent, and that against a non caliber fighter, it took him 8 rounds to KO and he wasn't even dominating, so have doubts if he ever be a champion again.
780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We All Know, The halving time will be full of drama on: December 04, 2023, 10:56:57 AM
No matter how high you rise in society, no matter how respectable you are, there will always be some people to bring you down to speak against you. Similarly with Bitcoin it is only natural that the higher it goes the higher it wants to corrupt its upcoming value. Often false or misleading information, rumors or other means create doubt and fear among investors. Investors who fall victim to FUD may make panic decisions, such as selling their assets at a loss based on unfounded fear and uncertainty. However, we know what the future holds for Bitcoin. Maybe some of us want to show the play but I doubt if the play can actually be released!
If there's a single coin that is constantly attacked by its opposition, that is certainly bitcoin. They aim to replace the position of bitcoin and steal those bitcoin investors, but since its impossible to happen, they just resort into making hypes and fuds that will make some bitcoin investors fall into it and end up with wrong decision making and eventually lose their bitcoin investment.

Most especially that bitcoin halving is coming near, then these kind of strategies have become rampant in the market, and if you are weak, you will definitely fall into their traps.
