Interesting idea. The wallets already offer options for password encryption so adding 2FA might be overkill. 2FA would be an excellent additional layer IMHO. If a user gets their system compromised by a keylogger virus, 2FA would still render the wallet useless even if the attacker gains both the wallet files and the encryption password. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. 2FA uses a private key which would be in the same system than the wallet itself, so it could be stolen along with it. |

well, there is one thing i don't understand. How come a person takes a free software modifies a couple of code lines and sells it. This is not ok by any book

Hello. I need some assistance. I downloaded the wallet and sent coins to it from Nova. The Synching was going great and very fast until it reached 99%. All the headers were done quickly and the blocks were great but stuck at 99%. Now it is just sucking alot of my memory and disk power and the wallet interface is just re-scanning and stuck at 100%. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?
It finally worked! I guess I just needed more patience. Thanks The final part takes longer as it needs full blocks and then the trie. |

Hi Bobby. I think the best way to mine is using xmr-stak software, available at github. You need set up with a pool and your wallet address. Look at the first ANN page, a list of pools, and the discord group for more information and Q/A... hi and thanks for the response that's one problem I have I open up the mining pool page and I have no idea what to do - it doent look as if anything can be clicked --so i found the ccminer nvidea https://github.com/tsiv/ccminer-cryptonight/releaseswhen i try to download it - i get a warning from my pc that it has a virus - can you post a link if possible to the correct one if it isnt the one i posted ..thanks gain ! Most binary miners do trigger antivirus false positives.
You must keep secure, of course, but if you trust the source, trust the binary.
Also, keep the rig secure: don't mine with unencrypted wallets on the same machine, etc.

Indeed. Aex.com promised to open their xcn wallet soon. If that is true, we will have much more volume! pallas go for stocks.exchange platform, I think they are listing coins for free (not sure about it) but you guys can give it a try. Yes I will try the coin submission today. |

your system does not support cuda 9.0 API

did you install cuda 9? on windows you don't install cuda 9 separatly, do you? OP didn't provide most basic infos ... I don't know as I don't use windows, still he needs cuda 9 :-) |

I downloaded the mining program, but it doesn't do anything. There's no instructions and it just flashes up a command window that disappears just as quick! I also tried messaging the "Contact Us" on the website, but seems it either doesn't work, or I'm just being ignored  I own a lot of XCN, I'd like to mine too, but everything feels like pulling teeth at the moment! Please use this thread or slack for support. If you make a bat file with "pause" command at the end, you can see the error message which is printed before the window closes. The error is saying it expects a URL.... Is there not normally a batch file supplied with a miner with all the required parameters? There's nothing in the zip file I downloaded.... Standard ccminer parameters: -a m7 -o [stratum url] -u [username] -p [password] Sorry, I've worked in IT for 30 years, but I've never mined coins before. That means nothing to me.... make a bat file containing: ccminer -a m7 -o [stratum url you get from the pool] -u [your username on that pool] -p [your password] pause Thanks. Ashamed there is now AGAIN new exchange for XCN, deposit closed you can guess dev/hacker is P/D shit out of this crap, and stupid new ppl are buying!
if anyone is in china they need to report exchange and ppl working in scam so they be where they need -> jail

Thanks a lot! Sorry it took so much but I finally was able to have a look at your work. I thought less changes were needed :-/ In general it looks good; I will clone and compile it ASAP to see if I can find were the problem lies. A little note: bignum.cpp is added to a headers directive in Makefile.am, there is probably a more appropriate place to put it. |

Wallet on AEX "Temporarily closed", why and for how long?
As @liuwei37645 linked the AEX announcement, maybe the "temporary closed" XCN wallet is related to this. Here is what they say about the XCN and other six projects: Maybe is time to search and try to get on another exchange.. stocks.exchange it seems to get some momentum and I think is free to get listed there, but I'm not sure. Aex support said they would open the xcn wallet regardless. I agree about stocks.exchange, we should try to be listed there while it's free/cheap since that exchange is growing. Any volunteer? :-) |

nicehash has been out for quite some time. you can make money with it if you know what to mine. just buying hashing power and pointing to a pool without any clue won't make you rich. Is there any easy to use service or website that would tell/notify you what to mine? Is there a website that would automatically do this legitly for you (unlike the old scrypt.cc cloud mining scam that claimed they mined the most profitable coins)? - whattomine - nicehash miner - do your calculations guess which one gives you the best profit? :-) |
