Guys, how to remove for FOREVER topics from "Show new replies to your posts". Is it possible? Because there are topics which are not interesting for me anymore, but they keep appearing there..

Try delete your posts in topics you are not interested anymore. Profile > Show the last posts of this person > choice one you want do delete, but remember your post counter will go back -1 with each deleted one.

Thanks! But -1 is not good Cheesy
If there is an opportunity to turn off notifications from topics it would be better

Go to your profile/Notifications and Email  there are some options.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provably verified in online Poker! Is it possible? on: October 19, 2017, 02:12:33 PM
Hi guys,
I have a serious question about the process of randomization in card shuffling in online poker.
Is there any solution for it to make it 100% transparent and verifiable and simple at the same time as well? Please share any innovative idea if you have any.

Yes it is.
1 - you have to "provable randomly" shuffle the cards.
2 - you have to prove the cards were handed out in that shuffled order.

But you would have to find a really smart solution to make it "simple".

It's not even called a solution if you are going to make 100% transparency when playing online poker. I guess there's no use and it's not even an innovative idea. The idea of playing poker will be useless and for sure many will forget this game online if all the cards are transparent to each other, everyone will be folding their cards and will just quit the game later on because there's no use of playing it.

I don't think you know how provably fair systems works. (sorry if Im wrong)

The thing is you dont need to show cards to each other. All you need is to make sure "the cards order was given at game start and has not changed during the game".
This can be achieved by using "hash functions".

IMO by transparent he means: to be verifiable

783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best way to quit gambling and start trading?? on: October 19, 2017, 02:07:13 PM
Im addicted on gambling especially on sports betting but every time i have bitcoins on my wallet i automatically deposit it on my trading account, gambling is not easy to quit if you're aim is for easy profit
Got addicted to sports betting ? You must be an unique gambler because I'm seeing most of the gamblers are getting addicted to all other gambling types except sports betting as sports betting is not happening all the day long and you must wait for your sports to happen to gamble with that. Probably you must be betting with more than five sports and that is the reason you must have got addicted to them.

I know a lot of people addicted to sports betting.
In past I worked in factory where current open bets were the most discussed topic during rutine conversation (or as initial chit chat before moving to business related matters)
Actually you were considered as "strange person" when not betting. I was one of those non betting weirdos  Cheesy

I do not agree with you. In this forum there is a marketplace section ... and can not be considered equal to all the other forum sections.
this is my opinion.

Well, that's your opinion and I accept it. You know mine.

Maybe you can make voting thread about this issue. If you get a huge support you might achieve rule changes (but I doubt about).

banning user and closing false posts is not a police but is the real role of the administrators.

I disagree. Moderator's job is to make sure people are following "local rules". You cant put into forum rules no scamming (it's already within "the general public rules" ).

I fully agree with rule nr. 19

Or I can promote it in messages too?

Can i write just "freebitco.in" in messages?

You can but please no spam.

Forum moderators are not police. And do you realize how much work it would cost to hunt them all down? What would stop them from creating another account?

I believe when people apply comon sense they are safe of such things. Just use your brains guys..
788  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can it be true ? on: October 19, 2017, 12:48:51 PM
6% fee? You must have been purchasing BTC using creditcard ... thats not the cheapest way.

The fees are around 0.2% when you are "trading". Higher fees are usually charged for deposits/withdrawals ( constant depositing and withdrawing is not how trading works)

Nice overview you made here. Great is that all info is based on your own experience.
Good job.

Can't answer your questions but maybe you could add also:
- how much fee each pool takes (it's quite important factor for many miners).
- where are their servers located (EU, ASIA, US ...)

793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining: which cryptos to mine with which gadget and calculate on: October 18, 2017, 11:12:02 AM
no problem, thanks a lot for your input!

very interessting that antminers are famous for their unreliability... can you recommend  others?
i got the offer for the antminer D3 from a guy who is running the mining farm. he told me that its difficult to get a miner because of high demand, but he can offer this single one to me for 3.300 starting end of november

the topic that more miners are leading to a decreasing profability is ok for me as i expect some cryptocurrencies to  increase furhter in their price for years. thats why i want to mine and diversify to some currencies. i also want to get some for my son because of this meaning. but its hard for me to find a good option to do that.

the last point which is very unclear for me is how to get fiat money for cryptocurrencies, especially anonym?

True. Demand for miners is very high (but that does not mean you should be paying such excesive ammount (who knows, maybe bitmine comes up with new batch in few days, weeks ....  I kinda doubt that as bitmain already released too much of them IMO ).
Just don't let desperateness (to become a miner) to overhelm common sense. But it's definitely your decision.

As of the reliability I might exaggerate it but have seen lot of complains about faulty miners (do some investigation in this are as well). I have only few S9 and never had issues (hope it will stay).
EDIT:  There is not much of choice. I personally not believe much in success of X11 coins, I believe in ETH (GPU mining), LTC, and of course BTC. (my opinion... take it with giant grain of salt)
Bitmain competitors are ibelink, innosilicon, baikalminer (in altcoins) and canaan, ebit (in BTC area).
You might want to consider purchasing GPU rig instead (it's more versatile). But these are shortage as well so not easy to get some at reasonable price.

If you want to stay anonym then you should avoid exchanges (all exchangers dealing with fiat has to comply with AML/KYC).
Other options are localbitcoins (find trader nerby and schedule personal meeting) or search around maketplace section.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining: which cryptos to mine with which gadget and calculate on: October 18, 2017, 10:07:45 AM
ok, the Antminer D3 mines about 2,5 Dash per month worth about 700 USD (current price 285 USD) - lets calculate with 550 EUR
monthly mining place rent will be 50 EUR
monthly power costs will be around 100 EUR
that means that each month the net profit will be about 400 EUR if the price per Dash remains stable

the Antminer D3 will cost 3.300 EUR
divided through 400 EUR monthly profit
tells me that in approximately 8 month the invest should have returned...
correct?
and no - i did not expect an ROI in 2 month  Roll Eyes
also the 8 months seem (to?) short for me...

do i have to calculate other costs? for example for a mining pool, exchange to other cryptocurrencies, exchange to fiat money, other fees....?

can you recommend something/a provider that fits all my requirements (mining pool for dash and the possibility to exchange to other currencies (automatic))
including a wallet?

Ok, sorry for being offensive. I was expecting you are just another naive newbie miner (there is lot of them) but now I see you mean it seriously (making calculations). Good for you.

8 months sounds to me realistic. I would guess a little more (10 - 12 ??) but you never know.

Another things to consider:
- mining pools charge fees. 1-2% normal pools,  3-4% advanced pools ( those which automatic exchange mined coins to others e.g. BTC)
- number of miners "on the way". There is huge amount of miners ordered. After these join the network the profitability most likely drops a lot (lurk around this topic - you'll see people are complaining everytime when new batch comes online).
- Antminers are famous for their unreliability. You will be lucky if you get miner which can mine for months without issues (usually just one of the three hashing boards fails, so you will mine with 30% reduced power during the repair )

As of where to mine. You can try e.g.  granatgas pool, prohashing or nicehash (all these will exchange mined coins to others, but not to fiat)

BTW Where did you get price 3300 EUR? As far as I know bitmain was selling the last batch around 1500 USDs ( 3300 EUR seems to me well overpriced ).

795  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcino.io - New bitcoin dice site - Fastest & most convenient dice site on: October 18, 2017, 06:22:53 AM
Even If I`d win some great amount of money they will not pay me posting here another bullshit message
Faucet levels at the site when you will not receive any money from it - waaaat?
They state that they have a bankroll of 12+ BTC but not able to pay some small amount of money in order not to create bad reputation for them
Plus, faucets` abusers bring more positive aspects to a gambling place rather than negative:
1. they generate more traffic to the site
2. 50-80% of winning money do not leave the gambling place due to gambling addiction of players
All in all, there is no point of establishment of a gambling site when you do not know how to run it

I think it has been answered already about your friend's issue (which I believe it is not your friend but it is yourself).
Faucet abusers brings more traffic? Yes obviously, but is it the main purpose of a gambling site? absolutely NO, a gambling site is a not a charity place to donate their money to those faucet abusers who try to make a living from faucet.
I'm not so surprised if faucet abusers will call any sites is a scam once they cant withdraw their winning after abusing the faucet.

Listen to me, screaming bitch
How you use the faucet is your personal deal: trying to multiply for profit or understand how the system works
They have made a possibility to increase the faucet not accidentally, useless donkey. Did you see their faucet levels? Did you, idiot?
Why do you need to raise the faucet amount if it is only for understanding principles, donkey with dementia?
No, you have not answered before, idiot, due to the fact that you hardly speak English. The main purpose for whom, son of a whore? For players - play, and they play, for abusers - abuse, and they do it, but bring more benefits to the site rather than take it from the site. Do you understand, useless piece of shit?

You`d better learn English but not entertain me here, kid

"its faucet fo nothin, not fo payin money from, its only fo testing reasons, even if you won they willnot pay u, its fo testing and thats why they established levels in the faucet. Y nobody can understand it((" - right now in your empty head, little son of a whore
Wow what a keyboard warrior you are ! Insulting people online, calling them " son of a whore" ! I agree that faucet abuse is a bad thing and you shouldn't get paid for breaking the rules! Why are you so mad when people tell you the truth ? Maybe you have no food to eat or something or you have failed terribly in life and taking it on people online? Get a life buddy and i think i saw you typing garbage in chat(bitcino.io) ! Many bad , very bad words , insulting some random people in chat! That's how "tough" you are ..... Get a life buddy rather than spreading trash online ....

Let him say what he want to say, I do not even feel being insulted. His long post is just like a joke from a mad faucet abuser who cant get something from his hard work abusing giveaway. Look at his post history, most of his posts are claiming free btc/faucet on yabtcl thread with so many different referral links in a day. It is a clear proof of what type of person is he.
Time to put on ignore list.

Yea, apparently he's professional troublemaker and spammer ( invaded almost every local language thread with useless post ).
First time I'm putting someone to ignore list.
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Invite Only Bitcoin Casinos? on: October 18, 2017, 06:12:25 AM
I've been hearing from people that the GOOD not scam casinos are invite only, but I am unable to find them. Does anyone happen to know about these invite only casinos and where I can find them?

I don't think so. Such bussines idea just does not make sense. More users = more possible profit so why would they do that.

But I might be wrong.

The actual idea here is to only allow established high rollers to play in an invite only scheme. Of course more players mean more profit to casinos but these are the actual true ones without any hidden schemes and payout very big amounts without any hassles.

Yea, I was thinking about same but IMO such plan simply won't work. As for most business the continuous flow of new users is quite essential. Thats why regular casinos offers affiliate programs and invests significant amounts/efforts to advertisement.
Limited number of highroles is not even close to potential of new users flow (once the high roller is busted he might never come back).

The only think I can come up with is they would offer a super low HE.

I just find very hard to believe someone would operate such thing.
Have you ever heard about such casino?

Hello,

I have troubles accessing my old profile.
I used it back in 2013-2014 but now I can not access it and can not reset my password.
Any suggestions?

Forum has been hacked during that period (end of 2013) and passwords were possibly stolen.
Best suggestion given above.

P.S. Move this topic to META section.

Hi,

im very new to cryptocurrencies... and i found a possibility to buy a "Antminer D3" at a mining farm for EUR 3.300

That still seems pretty high to me, so i'm wondering if that actually is right...

Are you taking into account the cost of the Miner in the calculations?  It sounds like it would take a couple of years to make a profit (or maybe I am reading things wrong as well)?

Yea, thats how it is. What did you expect? ROI in 2 months?  Cheesy
The only way you can make profit earlier is when the coin you mine skyrockets (proven this happened with LTC or BTC.... but not sure if that happen again with other coins) or when you are able to sell the miner later for higher price.
800  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC on: October 17, 2017, 05:29:50 PM
As said above. Trusted exchanges like kraken, coinbase, bitstamp etc. are your best options. But when you'll be turning them into fiat count with ID verification (revealing your identity to exchanger) which could take several days.
Alternatively can use localbitcoins (find some trader nerby, schedule personal meeting and trade them for cash).

Go for p2p deal only if you have issues with revealing your identity (and in such deal you should definitely use escrow).

Quote

If you have issues revealing your identity, i don't think the smartest thing would be to give those out to a complete stranger on localbitcoins, ( 99% of those vendors ask for id if you're buying more then 250$).

Rather would i reveal them to a "trusted" corporation such as coinbase, which has too much reputation to lose by reselling them/using them for ads.

I have different experience. We agreed to meet in cafeteria. Enjoyed a cup of coffee while the BTC being transfered, had a nice talk. Never revealed my IDs.
It was some time ago so maybe it's different now ...or  depends on country? I can't tell.

EDIT: True is it was less than 250 USD trade so your point is valid. I guess.
