781  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: help? BURN THE TOKENS!! Why??? on: February 10, 2018, 03:53:20 AM
Burning tokens generally mean that it's a show of good faith on the developer's part. As @drmarcobelli mentioned, whatever that hasn't sold in the ICO phase is best burned to show transparency, rather than sit in a bag that looms over the investors' heads. This ensures that the value of the coins that were purchased during the ICO are at the maximum, with little risk of the coin devaluing itself when the markets flooded with dev coins that weren't burned.
782  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Who ready to join my Team ? on: February 09, 2018, 09:18:09 PM
Can you provide more specifics about what kind of project you’re starting? Is it an altcoin? How do you plan on paying your team? What is the budget or compensation plan that you’re putting together or allocating for this project? These answers will dictate the level of quality from applicants.

Good luck, and I look forward to learning more about this project.
783  Economy / Services / Re: Designer to create full branding! on: February 09, 2018, 09:13:03 PM
I’d be interested in bidding on this project but would like to know what form of payment you will be providing. Will it be Bitcoin, or will it be in the upcoming coin?
784  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how does it works?!! on: February 09, 2018, 09:09:35 PM
Like others have stated, if your translation skills are up to par with what the company is expecting, your rank shouldn’t matter. Just make sure to have some writing samples on hand to prove your ability to adequately translate any project.

I will say, however, that I hope you are here on the forums for more than just to earn money. We have a pretty great community here, and you can learn a lot about bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Make sure to actively take part in good conversations, and don’t post one-liners. That way, when your account ranks up, you should have some merit points, as well, and you’ll be able to partake in some signature campaigns as well.

Welcome to the forums, take a look around and check out the many boards you can post on here.

Have fun!!
785  Economy / Economics / Re: When will see prices independent of USD? on: February 09, 2018, 04:50:45 PM
This will happen gradually. See how people shifted from paper money to credit card. It took a lot of years before people fully use credit cards on almost all transactions.

The same can happen to cryptocurrency. There is not much merchandisers that accepts bitcoin or crypto. But if there will be a major adoption of merchandisers to accept crypto, then people can start shifting from credit card or fiat to crypto transactions. Then we can start disassociating fiat to crypto exchange.

So you're in favor of a fixed-value economy surrounding Bitcoin? That's the only way that bitcoin can succeed as an independently free-standing currency. One thing you're failing to realize with your credit card example is that credit cards are just another method to use currency; it doesn't replace the dollar.
786  Economy / Economics / Re: When will see prices independent of USD? on: February 09, 2018, 04:07:34 PM
We will see that after USD is no longer used by people. I am sure it will be happen. We will move to the new financial system with new medium of exchange, all people will be rich in the future, there is no poor person in the future. Everybody will be rich. May be the price of bitcoin will be compared with gold.

I hope you realize the fallacy in your statement: In order for rich people to be rich, there need to be poor people. Everybody cannot be rich, or that will lead to massive inflation. USD will always be applicable to currency. Most of it is digital nowadays; it's just a matter of time before even more becomes digital. IMHO, Bitcoin will never replace the US dollar, nor will it ever come close; at least not until the scaling issues are addressed.

Unfortunately, BTC prices rely on the US dollar value. USD seems to be the standard currency of measurement for all currencies, not just crypto. So, OP, when you state that we need to create our own economy for crypto, products and services need to have a reference point as to what they're worth. You can't just say "this painting is worth 0.5BTC" and expect people to blindly give you 0.5BTC without checking the appropriate value. I personally do not ever see Bitcoin becoming independent of USD, or any other currency, for that matter, regardless of how many people use it.
787  Economy / Services / Re: Wirex Now supports SegWit wallets and ZERO Blockchain fees for Wirex users. on: February 09, 2018, 03:55:01 PM
Hi there BTCforJoe,
We are terribly sorry your friend has had such difficult experiences with us. Although Visa banned all cryptocurrency activities through Wavecrest, this should not prevent your friend from withdrawing his bitcoins. Please get your friend to send us his support ticket privately and I will look into the matter myself.

He's sent multiple support tickets. He's reached out to you guys via social media. On Steemit. In several instances, he has been told that he can login and withdraw his Bitcoin. But when trying to do so, the website acts as if his account does not exist at all. He's been trying over and over, speaking with your support team over and over, and it doesn't seem like there has been any kind of resolution to his problem. I don't understand how hard it is to allow him to log into his account so that he can withdraw his bitcoin.

788  Other / Meta / Re: TMAN's Level up challenge.-- UPDATED... on: January 30, 2018, 06:53:57 PM
I love this idea, as it is molding and shaping healthy conversation in these forums by offering an incentive for quality posts. As someone who is against shitposters, I would like to sponsor a second-place prize, if you will. I will donate 20 merits to disperse amongwhoever you select as the runners up to this challenge, after the winner is declared. Thanks for doing this, TMAN, and I’m grateful in advance for the better-quality posts that will come out of this.

I’m hoping to see more high-sMerit members hosting or supporting a challenge like this in the future!
789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Phone scam selling Bitcoin on: January 29, 2018, 11:04:59 PM
The company most likely bought a database of crypto-related contacts.

Social engineers typically data mine this, well, data by decoupling websites that are designed to give you something for free. This is why I don’t participate in airdrops that require a lot of information, as I know that my data will uncoubtedly end up for sale on the black market.

Other methods of data mining include sites that require registration, such as faucets, and I think the biggest culprits are sites that are designed to “give something away” for “free”. Like raffles where you have to enter your information to be eligible.

My best advice to people that want to sign up on these sites? First of all, avoid sites that require you to enter your mobile number. Once you’re on a list like that, you’re screwed. Secondly, create a fake email address or one that is specifically used as a “throwaway”, if you will, that you can use to sign up on these sites.
790  Economy / Digital goods / Re: YouTube RED FOREVER without Subscriptions! | 5$ on: January 29, 2018, 10:43:31 PM
I am assuming these are other people's accounts your selling? Or is it a method that can be applied to a personal account?
None of the two options. We are not selling any account and we dont upgrade any account from you. We show a method that allows you to wach youtube red with no need of accounts. And it’s very fast and cheap!

Ah then I’ll take a vouch copy and provide a review with the process of utilizing your method. Feel free to PM me to make this happen for you!
791  Economy / Digital goods / Re: YouTube RED FOREVER without Subscriptions! | 5$ on: January 29, 2018, 10:34:40 PM
If this is applicable to my personal account, I’ll take a vouch copy and provide a review. Additionally, if you can ensure that there is no risk involved with this method applied to my existing personal account, I will reimburse you with your asking price in 30 days if the method is still valid for my personal account. If this method is only applicable to new accounts that you provide, then please indicate so in this thread and discard my request.

793  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [SELL] Virtual Credit Card (Google, Amazon, DO) on: January 29, 2018, 09:34:35 AM
I ordered a VCC from @BitcoinMoldova. I paid in Bitcoin Cash and after providing the transaction ID, I was instructed to wait 40 minutes because of a little problem. I waited a couple hours, and after reminding OP to provide me with a VCC, he did, stating that he forgot to get back to me.

Although he did provide me with the VCC, he charged me $1 more than what was stated in this thread, and he was almost 2 hours late delivering the card from his own stated delivery date. The VCC worked like a charm, but OP, please provide a little bit more professionalism moving forward.

Thanks!
794  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for someone to found a cryptocurrency with on: January 29, 2018, 05:39:37 AM
What would be the purpose of your crypto, if I may ask? Is it just to be able to say that you created an altcoin? Will it serve a purpose other than to satisfy your ego? I don’t mean to sound like a Debbie downer, but just having passion isn’t going to be enough to create a successful coin. In fact, I urge you not to go down this road, as not to flood the industry with just another useless coin.  Correct me if I’m wrong, please, but in all honesty, it just sounds like you’re trying to create a pump and dump for the sole purpose of making a profit.
795  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] VCC - Reputable Sellers Only! on: January 29, 2018, 05:30:14 AM
Still needed. Given the decrease in bitcoin transaction fees, I’m willing to pay with bitcoin, as well as bitcoin cash. Check out my conditions and post here or send me a message with your price. Thanks!
796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much would you pay for a bitcoin price prediction service with 80% accuracy? on: January 29, 2018, 05:19:37 AM
Sorry mate, but I wouldn’t pay a dime for this service. I personally think that it is irresponsible to be able to claim that you can predict the price of bitcoin, and even more irresponsible to charge for this “service”. You’d be basing your services on pure speculation, and that in itself is scammy in nature.

Just because you got lucky in the past with machine learning algorithms does not mean that you’ll always be accurate.

I think predicting the price is fine as long as you keep it speculative, but the moment you start making it a paid service, you become liable for any losses that followers/customers may incur.

My best recommendation to you is to continue to provide your data in real time, and allow people to make donations if any pumps provide a profit for them. Otherwise, you’ll end up being neck deep in complaints and messages from users looking to get their money back.

Just my $0.02.
797  Economy / Digital goods / Re: I have 26 merits!!!! Buy it if you want!!!!! on: January 29, 2018, 05:04:06 AM
I don't see why this shouldn't be allowed since the merit system isn't fair and your told there is no need for you to keep this and you are encouraged to give them away, why shouldn't a person decide to sell them if they wish?

Because it goes against the very integrity of why the Merits were created in the first place. While it’s not “illegal” (you won’t get banned for it), many DT members will red tag you for trying to “game” the merit system if you try and blatantly sell them.

And for the record, I totally think the merit system is fair. The ones that say that it isn’t generally only shitpost and don’t actually contribute to any dialogue carried out on the forums, IMO.
798  Other / Meta / Re: Members screwed by Merit, sign here for fix. on: January 28, 2018, 07:17:08 AM
The recent addition of the merit system along with the abuse of the new additions to DT2 will make it much harder for those tagged for invalid reasons to gain merit.

I’m not sure about you but id think twice about awarding merit to someone with negative trust.

The merit system seems good for new members and removing the low level posts and single sentence posts, but from the looks of it lots of older members who have contributed to these forums are being left behind and forgotten about while they try to address the problem of spam.

I think you’re missing the point, though. Just because you’re an old member of the forums doesn’t mean that you’re automatically entitled to merit. You can have a 5 year old account here and still be a shitposter.

I will agree, however, that there has been much less spam on the forums his past week since merit was introduced. As an avid user of the watchlist feature to watch entire boards of topics I’m genuinely interested in, I’ve noticed that the daily page counts are not nearly as high as they were in previous months.
799  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: January 28, 2018, 03:34:44 AM
Another successful payment after another week. Kudos.

just for confirmation, I can vouch that I have, indeed, received 000.0007500BTC per post.
800  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Finally proof that OG is running a ponzi.... on: January 28, 2018, 03:02:02 AM
I hope OG doesn't red tag me for posting this...EVERYTHING about it screams ponzi

There is nothing Ponzi about NastyFans.  If you continue to spread libel statements with no evidence and do not correct your prior ones, I will red tag you for spreading lies about provably honest community projects.

I’m basing my opinion on what I have been presented with here. In the first statement of the screenshot provided in the top post, you advise members to bring in more donations to the club to make more earnings. In any other situation, that is a sure indicator of a ponzi. It’s not lateral growth that you’re promoting. From your own words, you are asking members to become more involved and contribute more to the club. This in itself seems fine. But when you ask for them to bring in more donations, that’s the part where I’ve become skeptical about the organization.

I won’t edit anything I’ve posted before. I stated my observations simply as that. Observations and opinions based on the material that was put before me. If you want me to change my view, then I implore you to provide me with evidence that supports that the club in itself is not a ponzi. I’ll be more than willing to put my foot in my own mouth if you can do so, but as I just stated, my opinions are based on comparisons to other projects that are modeled around the facts that were provided in supporting that NastyFans is a ponzi. I’m inviting you to prove my opinions to be incorrect and am open to hear anything you have to say. Cheers.
