781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which good altcoins can I hold along with Bitcoin for the upcoming halving? on: December 04, 2023, 10:39:15 AM
This literally the first halving I'm going to experience since knowing about bitcoin. So I've already started holding Bitcoin and lately the progression  has been going well!!.So I've some Lil funds with me but I'm thinking of which good altcoins I can hold for the upcoming  halving, that's going to also skyrocket too. I was thinking about ETH, BNB and SOL. But still, I  need recommendations from you guys about the best altcoins to hold for the halving please.
While bitcoin will keep its momentum high before and after bitcoin halving, some highly potential altcoins will do the same. However, I can't pinpoint which will be the most profitable altcoin that will go along with bitcoin this time, but if you want to play safe and invest safe, I suggest that you prioritize ethereum over other altcoins. Ethereum is next to bitcoin when it comes to its security, although some random altcoins may offer bigger profits than ethereum at some point.

As always, research is the key. Don't just jump to investing, but know first the background and history of every coin because that could also help in determining which coin is safe to invest.
782  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not very easy; it took my friend a long time to understand. on: December 04, 2023, 08:59:46 AM
Most of the time, it takes a trader to lose at first before he will fully understand what trading is and how it will work. And what happened to your friend is not an exception. He now understands that unless he is inclined to know more about trading and practice caution and patience in trading, then his trading performance will improve and attract positive wins than losses.

Successful traders start from a scratch, and it also takes a lot of time for them to finally understand the crypto market and how trading works. And as long as quitting was never their option, there are always high chances for them to end up making successful and profitable trades.

783  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I still hold the investment or sell it? on: December 04, 2023, 08:39:32 AM
Why are you having sleepless night because you invested in bitcoin, since you were not ready to buy bitcoin then you shouldn't have bought it so that you don't put yourself into this tension that you are in. Bitcoin price is doing well and if you sell off and keep the money in the back, then maybe that is when you will have rest of mind so I will advice you to do what will give you rest of mind rather than worries. You should also remember that fiat depreciates with time. I have my bitcoin investment and I am pleased with leaving it for a very long period of time.
Investing in bitcoin has a lot of risks, and that includes dropping its price when you least expect it. So most probably, OP is just worried that his investment might not work and his capital will not grow unlike other investors have experienced. Its actually normal for beginner investors but as you get used to the market's volatility, you will realized that there is less to worry about while seeing bitcoin has a lot of potentials to grow and become more valuable.

This is the reason why one should never invest more than he can afford to lose. Investment is a business, there are times you fall down and lose, and there are times you go up and win. So always invest within your risk.
784  Economy / Economics / Re: Luxury and spending lifestyle fastest way to poverty rich kids on: December 04, 2023, 07:59:14 AM
I have heard a rich person saying that if we want our kids to have a better future, we have to educate them on how to grow money, not how to save money. It simply means that we teach them to do good business, not how to spend money like there is no tomorrow. Because at the moment they will know how to make money, earning and saving a lot of it is not hard and impossible. But if they only know how to spend and live a luxurious life, these kids will become poor when they are alone.
The problem with parents these days is that they don't want their kids to struggle with money like teaching them how to grow money when they can give them instantly the money they ask for. They don't want their kids to live like they are poor when they can feed them everything they want, that's probably the reason why kids nowadays grow as spoiled brats because they always get what they want without even working for it.

Parents will only realize their mistakes when their kids end up living miserably. They become addicts and some turn into criminals just to sustain their habits and vices that they used to live with.
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will invest the money to buy the land in Bitcoin. on: December 04, 2023, 07:28:14 AM
I would agree to your idea withdrawing your money than let your money sleep in a bank with only small amount of interest. If you invest it in bitcoin, most likely you will yield bigger amount of profits as long as you continue hodling it for 5-10 years without being tempted to sell early.

However, you should apply caution when investing most especially that bitcoin is a high risk asset. Do not go all in with bitcoin, but invest first with an amount that you are comfortable to lose, once you made profits, then take the risk of increasing your position in your bitcoin portfolio. Owning a land property will only be in profit if you use for commercial purposes, but investing in bitcoin gives bigger chances of high profitability especially if you hold your bitcoin for long indefinite years.
786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 04, 2023, 05:59:34 AM
We can hear lots of positive remarks from both camps, but we know the real battle is on the ring, and it's been Inoue that has proven many times that he doesn't struggle, instead he looks so superior, so I'm hoping it will not be the case against Tapales.

That's the truth, even with the positive news were heared from the camp of Tapales, bookies doesn't care at all as Tapales still remains as the huge underdog despite he's all a champion. Judging on the betting odds, this looks like Tapales is just a mandatory opponent (challenger) and Inoue's been consistently protecting his belt.

All we can do is just hope that the unexpected thing will happen, as that's the only way Tapales could win.

No offense to the fans.....
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Math and Gambling on: December 04, 2023, 05:11:31 AM
This calculation is called card counting if I am not wrong. It required practice and time to master it. Then again, when you become good at it, you will be restricted from many platforms as this harms their business. Stop chasing something that only takes you deeper into the abyss. Enjoy the process as it is meant to be for entertainment purpose. The internet will only show your their wins but not the losses.

Nowadays that the seccurity system is already very sophisticted, I don't think someone could do this to a casino, maybe before but it cannot be working now. If we want to use our skills in math, we should do it the right way, a way to win and at the same time we won't violate the rules of a casino.

Casino is a thriving business, it's a big industry where it's growth every year is impressive, so that simply means they are consistent making money and they won't allow any cheating to ruin their business trend.
788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why sports betting? on: December 04, 2023, 03:35:00 AM
Sports betting is a unique activity where your knowledge can change the odds. Sports betting uses insights, unlike casino games, which are random. Does this knowledge genuinely alter our risk perception? Many overestimate their understanding, leading to overconfidence. Sports are unpredictable, so even the best bet can lose. Let's examine your financial point. The idea of 'having funds to accomplish anything' is attractive yet perilous. Disposable money and needed funds must be distinguished. If betting becomes 'how much can I afford to lose?' it can be harmful. Remember that gambling is fun, not a financial strategy. Could the real skill be self-control and financial discipline as well as game knowledge? Excitement and responsibility may be the winning combination!

So the answer will pretty much same right that do sport betting carry the own risk, But what do you think about my previous post about score cheating that made by player and referee do you think that is possible in the real life.

Cheating is normal in sports betting, they called them sports rigging. However, that shouldn't disappoint you if you are a true sports bettor as your goal is just to win and you'll need to consider all that factors. There are lots of speculation on different sports that it's rigged, but if you believe them and that would kill your excitement, better yet stop gambling the soonest.

But yeah betting is betting it should be treat as game and for fun only

I don't think you'll have fun if you know a team or a player/s are cheating....

790  Other / Archival / Re: Wearing Bitcoin Clothing in Public on: December 03, 2023, 11:59:32 PM
Has anyone ever tried wearing a Bitcoin clothing in public? I wore mine to an event earlier this week and noticed that most of the young age people were looking at it. One person even asked me if I owned a Bitcoin(which I've answered him ). It just popped into my mind that is it making myself vulnerable to bad people? We are aware that we should keep quiet if we own Bitcoin because of the risk that someone will hurt us or target us so that they could get our Bitcoin.

I tried to wear Bitcoin clothing way back in 2018 - 2019 together with my friends who know about Bitcoin.  I did not notice anyone looking at us with curiosity in mind.  Probably during those time, Bitcoin were not deeply propagated among the masses reason why the reaction of people was not the same as yours.

I do not think it brings any threat since such designs is normal especially when it is trending.  There are even stalls selling that kind of design, unless a person bragged that he has Bitcoin, I do not think that wearing such a design indicates that the person is holding BTC.
Wearing bitcoin logo does not guarantee that you're actually into bitcoin investment, as some are only riding the hype and just want to wear something that will make them noticeable and at the same time comfortable. There's actually no wrong with that if you look at the positive side, but I guess every individual has different mindset when it comes to bitcoin. Some sees it as a threat especially in countries where bitcoin is known as an expensive investment.

But its a different case if you wear it in provinces as most of the people do not even know what is bitcoin and if its even valuable or not. So for me, wearing bitcoin logo remains safe as long as you don't use it in public areas where different kinds of people may see you and make you as a target for those scammers.

791  Economy / Economics / Re: #HODLing is not a smooth journey on: December 03, 2023, 11:46:24 PM
When you're holding, there will be alot of situations around that may warrant releasing for sale because you have just been left with no other option than to sell, this is also another reaso why it is always discouraged that we use money to invest when we cannot afford the process involved in holding the money tied down on the Investment until it's the right time to release them, i will say this that it's not about holding jist like that, we need to understand the reason for that and what comes in demand for it as well.
This is actually hard to avoid if you force yourself to invest using borrowed money or using money that will be used anytime. When unforeseen events suddenly happen, there's no left option but to sell your coins so you have no choice but to sell early, that is losing your chance for your investment to yield bigger profits. This happened always to those who are eager to invest for quick profits, not realizing that it could only lead them to an unexpected loss.

While long term hodling is proven more profitable, but the process is actually not easy but tough. The reason why a lot end up hodling for short term since long term hodling requires a lot of patience and faith to your investment, which I think novice investors mostly lacking.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk predicts X will replace banks in 2024 - The Verge on: December 03, 2023, 11:19:47 PM
Well nothing is impossible if the mind is there and the most important thing that make things easy to come to pass is the finance. If the finance is there then Elon Musk will convert the X to a financial institution to help humanity in the world like Bitcoin. If Elon Musk wants to convert the twitter to a digital currency to liberate people from poverty and removing the fiat banking system and replace it the X project and it works well then it is a good one.

But I don't think can be possible because for America to leave their dollar to use another currency will be hard.
For Elon, it could be sky is the limit for all his goals and life's aspirations. But there's actually no wrong with that, but if its more than a reality already and the rate of chance to make it happen seems impossible already, then I guess that at that point it's no longer making sense anymore.

Replacing the position of banks is still impossible these days, Elon's prediction might probably happen but the time remains to be uncertain.
793  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Correction is possible in bitcoin price? After 40,000$ on: December 03, 2023, 10:45:18 PM
Bitcoin prices have been on the rise for the past two to three weeks, with no significant correction observed during this period. Currently, the bitcoin price hovers around $39,300. The surge in bitcoin prices can be attributed to the news of ETF approval circulating in the market.

However, what is your opinion? Do you anticipate a potential drop in the bitcoin price, revisiting $30,000 after reaching $40,000, or do you believe it will continue its upward trajectory towards $50,000?
Seeing a market price decline is always possible because of the highly volatile market. But what I'm seeing right now is more a consistent price increase that after reaching $40k, it will surpass another price surge until it reaches $45k and probably from there, we might start to see a market price decline that will test again the faith of early investors.

This is just my own prediction but it could also go the opposite way as it's still highly possible. Bitcoin's volatility makes it highly unpredictable, that's why keeping and hodling onto bitcoin is still the best weapon when price decline starts to appear.
794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin Bar in Sofia, Bulgaria looks Interesting on: December 03, 2023, 10:25:46 PM
This type of business actually looks great for bitcoin. Not only it will boost the interest of people to try out Bitcoin, but it will also make more people motivated to get knowing bitcoin. The bar looks classy and the theme itself looks very promising that every customer that gets in will be attracted to the bitcoin representation. I have also my dream building bar with bitcoin, but I think it will be hard to realized because our country itself does not support Bitcoin.

Kudos to another bitcoin achievement. This will not be the first and last, but surely there will be more bars like this that will pay tribute to bitcoin. Rooting for that.
795  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at its ATH of 2023 so far on: December 03, 2023, 09:59:38 PM
https://www.livemint.com/market/cryptocurrency/bitcoin-surges-2-87-to-its-highest-level-this-year-11701429005470.html

Bitcoin has surged for 2.87% today and reached the highest level in 2023. Does this year has more surprises for us and we can break all time high of bitcoin ?
There's always high possibilities that bitcoin will continue to surge high more and may reach its all time high earlier than we expect it, just like there's also chances for bitcoin to drop again and see bitcoin price in crash. Both can actually happen in the market. However, if only positive news will fill the market, then bitcoin price will sure to reach another all time high within this year.

Actually this scenario has already happened in the previous years. When people are chasing for higher prices of bitcoin, then bitcoin price suddenly dropped that makes the people resort into panic selling. But if faith is within us, I guess that would be enough to still cling  on the potentials of bitcoin that it would never frustrate us in the end.
796  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people ever get tired of trading bitcoin? on: December 03, 2023, 09:34:34 PM
I think people could possibly get "tried" of trading bitcoin and that's why I'm such a huge advocate for making bitcoin a great alternative currency to actual fiat dollars.  Using bitcoin as a currency gives it a whole lot of utility, and therefore giving it more of an appeal to be traded as time goes on.  I think it's important to use bitcoin in transaction as often as possible, giving it true utility that will be traded for many many years to come.
No, I don't think anyone will ever get tired of trading bitcoin it's akin to people who are trading in stocks, the companies from a hundred years ago are long gone but the Wallstreet is still as money hungry as it is so it will be unlikely that they're going to be tired of trading. Also, isn't trading the reason why the market is constantly moving and making it more volatile? So why would people stop trading if that's what's making bitcoin rise in prices, I don't see any future that trading will stop, unless there's an extinction level event or cataclysm happening, trading is and will always be a part of the human civilization. Wouldn't bitcoin plateau in price or dump really fast if everyone just stops trading?
Honestly, we don't hold the future of these traders if they end up getting tired from all the outcome of their trades. Trading is really tiring and get boring sometimes most especially if you are in the peak of losing, but if you are mostly on the gains, then there's no chances that these traders will quit from trading. Trading is hard but challenging as well, I think that keeps the traders from never stopping taking risk in trading.

However, based on my own experience, I don't think I'll ever get tired with trading, but only on the condition if I see the market remains profitable to trade because that will motivate me to trade more.

I was able to bet on this game, AFAIR, the handicap that I took was +10.5.

The game is already over but still on on the delayed live, hehe..

Unfortunately your bet didn't win as Ginebra had won the game by 11 points, that 0.5 was a killer bro, sorry but boune back next time.
Ginebra is just too much for the DYIP, they have offense everywhere and DYIP's import can even be guarded by C. Stand, so who would guard, Ginebra's import? That's why I'd say it's an easy win for the Gin King.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I'm looking for sites with good sports predictions on: December 03, 2023, 12:12:28 PM
Please recommend good sites with quality sports predictions and detailed analyses of predictions

Sports betting forum on a certain game is better than sites that gives prediction. You can't trust them with your money as they can make predictions that has no guarantee will win, so you would like only be following it blindly which is not good for you if you want to succeed in sports betting.

You're in the forum where lots of threads are active about sports betting, I think you should explore that and try to utilize the information you'll get from their, at least you'll deal with real people with different opinions and prediction, just follow the known winners.
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 03, 2023, 11:43:49 AM
How about the Warriors losing to the rockets despite enjoying over 20+ points lead?

That was like a Deja Vu of the game between the Warriors vs Kings where despite taking a good lead they still lose in the end. Regardless though, it was a fun game and I've seen how the Warriors are very comfortable with their shooting, they just have to improve their defense like always but in terms of shooting, even Draymond have hit 4 stragith 3 points if I'm not mistaken, so they have live their identity in this game.
