781  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Open source Exchange like 'WLOX or Peatio' on: December 21, 2015, 01:07:28 PM
No, I'm not. But I've built one in my devlab (based on Peatio) and realized that how much hassle would be running such site. Also assessed the initial costs, the situation on the market and possible ROI. I've found that the initial investment would be manageable (as I can build most things and I have a few front-end developers in the family) but I couldn't run it in a responsible way besides my day-job. In addition because of the saturated market and the low fees just to break even would take at least a couple of months in a nearly optimal case or more than a year in a less optimal (but not the worst case) scenario.

I think the only way to make a new exchange (relative) quickly profitable if the exchange is involved in some rather shady operations, like harassing competition, accepting bribes during altcoin launches, IPO/ICO coins, taking away earnings on PoS coins, and deliberately hosting P&D groups.

Fiat/crypto trade is a lot of hassle and plenty of more money, as you have to comply with tons of rules and regulations otherwise you can easily find yourself in some pretty big trouble.

BTW, I don't want to scare you away from making an exchange, but that's not as easy as it looks, and the hardest part isn't the installation itself.

Hopefully this isn't he same $50 Nike Gift Code what turned up a couple of times recently: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1296435.0;all Smiley.

783  Economy / Lending / Re: IN need of a 6.5 BTC loan for a great project! on: December 21, 2015, 11:42:24 AM
Perhaps he's living in a developing country and you going to altruistically donate BTC to his grab some money quickly project. Also he never ever promised any repayment, therefore he's not lying or scamming Smiley.
784  Other / Politics & Society / Re: America, It's Over! Yale Students Sign Petition To Repeal First Amendment on: December 21, 2015, 10:11:28 AM
It looks bad for the US if members of future elite are so ignorant and stupid.
785  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 'Google VPN' in-built Hidden Service spotted in Android 5.1 on: December 18, 2015, 04:17:11 PM
Ouch! This is something like hiring a goat for guarding my cabbage plantation.
786  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Losvienleg's society debates : abortion on: December 18, 2015, 04:15:14 PM
Abortion is never can be a good thing. It can be necessary, but encouraging it and offering it almost as an alternative for contraceptives is irresponsible.
787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: December 18, 2015, 03:35:36 PM
I'd be glad to hear some advice about the "earning fast" part Smiley. Perhaps it's just my greed but nothing seems to be fast enough for me.
788  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm dumping my bitcoins so you should on: December 18, 2015, 03:32:10 PM
TLDR: Sell out your BTC; don't rebuy it. Invest in other blockchains. Also, don't get fooled by the "hodl" propaganda that makes you never get a profit while whales do because YOU buy&hold.

You have a point regarding government and bank adoption, but there's life outside of these sectors. Take a look at China. Yes, you are right bitcoin never going to be officially adopted but a lot of people adopted it on their own to get around the fiscal control rules. A lot of people also using it to evade the watching eyes of their authoritarian governments, other using it to avoid the fees of legacy money transfer networks, and so on. Of course there are lot of people with more sinister use cases, but we can tell the same about fiat, gold, whatever store of value. There will be always demand for a cheap and independent money transfer method.
789  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin 'Endorses' "Absolute Leader" Trump As Colorful, Talented Guy on: December 18, 2015, 03:16:46 PM
I think Trump is much more interested in trade and commerce than war and destruction. Which of course is in direct opposition to Wall St., the war industry and the bankers financing all that gravy-train. And that machine owns the major mass media whorehouses, not to mention the one-party system itself. It´s very difficult to prevent it from getting the president/crew it wants for its purposes. Or has been, times are changing very fast. It´s an information revolution. The time that media whores and political corporate assets controlled the discourse has passed.

Trump is a patriot while Obama is a socialist. Trump is/was a businessman while Obama had been a politician all his life. I think this explains everything. The wish for prosperity vs. the wish for fulfilling a political agenda.
790  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin 'Endorses' "Absolute Leader" Trump As Colorful, Talented Guy on: December 18, 2015, 03:01:41 PM
Are there any buildings named after The Honorable Barack Hussein Obama?

Well, in Hungary we have barack palinka, barack fa, barackos gomboc, baracklekvar and a lot more stuff Smiley.
(Barack means peach in Hungarian. Is that counts Smiley? )
791  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin 'Endorses' "Absolute Leader" Trump As Colorful, Talented Guy on: December 18, 2015, 02:47:05 PM
I take him very seriously. Let me ask you a question. How many buildings around the world have your last name on them because of your hard work and dedication?

Do you take Obama very seriously? Really? May I ask you why? He seems to me a tricky lying bastard.

No buildings yet but in Budapest there are two streets named after me. Mester utca (Master street) and Szép utca (Handsome/Nice street) Cheesy. Not sure however if it's because of my hard work Smiley.
792  Economy / Gambling / Re: You ask how to win - did you know how to push your luck ? on: December 18, 2015, 02:35:53 PM
It is not possible that someone can make some profit using martingale because many people like you said it is not possible to get it in a long run right? Sure there is no consistently but all of this thing is depends on your luck whether you can get some profit or not it really depends on your luck so if someone can maintain their balance and base well I think they will possible to get some profit, it is just matter of time

Of course it's possible if you have loads of money to play with. Personally I like more a sort of "hit and run" approach. With every new bet you increasing the probability of losing as well.
793  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin 'Endorses' "Absolute Leader" Trump As Colorful, Talented Guy on: December 18, 2015, 02:09:25 PM
With a businessman one can negotiate, and can make a good business. With an ideologically motivated clown one cannot talk seriously.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoNote coins (BCN, Aeon, XMR, Monero...) and blockchain size - Trouble? on: December 18, 2015, 12:50:30 PM
The size of the Cryptnote wallet also grows very fast. It is easy to reach 20MB. Is there a way to reduce the wallet size?

How is 20MB nowadays a problem?  Shocked

But to answer your question the wallet file is just your scanned blockchain file, what matters is the .keys file for your coins... so you could possibly delete that if its to big for your and rescan everytime you want to use it Cheesy

I guess he mistyped something. Probably that 20MB actually means 20GB.

No, he means something like cache for wallet file. It has the same name as wallet and can reach 20 MB.

The real wallet file (*.keys) is less than 1 KB in size (mine is 544 bytes).

I see. Probably you are right. A couple of dozens of megabytes shouldn't be a problem (even on a mobile device) in these days, indeed.
795  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [Available] Real Online Passive Income Ebook / 0.0125 BTC on: December 18, 2015, 12:31:34 PM
Are there any testimonies available from your test users?
796  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: December 18, 2015, 12:18:49 PM
As most BTC related securities and mining contracts used to be scams or ponzies, and lending is quite risky, perhaps margin funding on Bitfinex or Poloniex is the closest thing to a passive income. Of course that's still not really passive as you have to make offers quite often, and the profit isn't a huge sum, but at least safer than most of the other options and you don't have to work too much with that.

Edit: You can also try some better POS coins.

Edit2: Investing in the bankroll of some bigger, well established gambling sites can be also a profitable and relative safe option.
797  Economy / Gambling / Re: You ask how to win - did you know how to push your luck ? on: December 18, 2015, 12:06:37 PM
Nice one, but I still have some doubts about the viability of Martingale in the long run. If there would be any consistently profitable gambling strategy, then all casino owners would begging for a little change at the entrance of the nearest off-licence shop Smiley.
798  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any gambling site for more bitcoin? on: December 18, 2015, 12:01:39 PM
is there any gambling sites i can get more bitcoin for free?

Not really. Gambling sites are neither faucets nor charities Smiley. If you get some free BTC on some sites, you have to gable it a couple of times (and most likely lose it) before you can cash out.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Gambling any one got cheated by house? on: December 18, 2015, 11:35:40 AM
As I used to prefer reputable sites (or provably fair sites nowadays), I don't think so.
