7981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Survival of the fittest on: April 01, 2018, 09:10:08 AM
you are right about one thing, that the best coins with real usage and no problems will survive in the long run but i am sorry to disappoint you to say that Ethereum is one of those coins that will probably be dead by then. ETH is not only incapable of lasting long term but also it has a lot of problems that will only get worse as time goes by. and on top of that even if it  didn't have those serious issues, there is still a lot of other projects that are doing the exact same thing as ETH but in a much better way.
and to put the final nail in its coffin, we are going to have RSK (Rootstock) soon which is on top of bitcoin as a sidechain and will offer smart contracts on bitcoin network which is effectively killing off ethereum Cheesy

You are probably talking about one of the things about Ethereum that a lot of people do not like to hear, and I actually have the same beliefs. BUT I bought some Ethereum myself around $400 last few months because while I believe in platforms doing things better like WAVES and STRATIS, I still think popularity alone will lift Ethereum for a very long time. It will still reach its old prices, I think you cannot ignore popularity.

Look at Bitcoin itself as the best example. People knock it for outdated tech but it is still the most used.
7982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Its over guys on: March 31, 2018, 01:36:03 PM
Maybe over for a short time, its likely that the market will continue to fall and if you believe this, you can sell your coins now, but the price will rise at last and most people who sell their coins will not buy back and lost their coins forever
We should weight what we should do, making transactions is a lot easier with crypto, I doubt if the market will continue to fall it will not feel the benefits it can give, I will hold into believing in it that soon all this falls will end and BTC will arise eventually again.

You are right. Every day, every moment, we have people spewing their opinions and changing their minds so quickly, when time and again the years of market history in crypto shows that patience is the only remedy. Losses and Profits are all part of this game. A year of bull runs must be normalized by a year of bear runs. You can keep insisting that it will be the moon, or keep insisting that it is over, but the weight of experience is the steady hand.

Let us not forget blockchain is here to stay. Let us not forget it is not all just about money.
7983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin winter? on: March 31, 2018, 11:33:58 AM
when the pumping season of altcoins lasted this long and when all of these altcoins got pumped big times to have huge bubbles, the "winter" where the dumps come will also last a very long time.

the longer the summer the longer the winter is going to be.

and it is mainly because of all the newbies who are slowly giving up to say goodbye to their worthless bags they have been holding.

It really was long was it not? Now we just have to bear with a winter that is just as long. And do not worry, the winter could be long, but that just means the spring and summer will be coming when no one expects. Even better for us who want to weed out all the impatient players. Cannot wait to see the market emerge healthy. With fewer speculators, fewer stupid alts, and the strong ones just ready to roar. 2018 should be a time for us to rest anyway.
7984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin-Manipulation-Cartel  ( who will win The Cartel or We ? ) on: March 30, 2018, 04:35:45 PM
Nothing special about that article, sorry. Firstly, whales and cartels are not a new topic, a lot of people have uncovered even better proofs than what was shown in the article. Secondly, there is no win or lose scenario IF the cartels exist. They already win, by definition if they existed then they have made their money and we have lost ours. Thirdly, I win when price is high. I win if price is low.

Also, wrong section. Move to Bitcoin Speculation.
7985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is these the REASON why crypto-currencies are dropping? on: March 29, 2018, 11:05:06 AM
No. Solid no. That should actually be great news for crypto - meaning to say regulation in Japan is working, scammers and unsecure exchanges can no longer run riot in Japan, doing as they please and stealing people's funds. Of course, I still think we should self regulate and stay away from centralized systems, but the fact is 99% of newbies will want the ease and "security" of trusting reputable exchanges.

That is good news, not bad. Crypto is dropping because,,, nobody knows. Long term corrections is my belief.
7986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of decentralized exchange is almost here on: March 29, 2018, 10:20:01 AM
If the blockchain is as strong as the weakest link, we have several hundred weak links in crypto Wink Poor Bitcoin if its fate is decided by all the dead and inactive blockchains littering the forum!

Of course, yes, I simply cannot for decentralized exchanges to please take over. The bad news is all the big guys like Binance cropped up and are taking all the traders and exchangers with them, so DEXs keep struggling to attract us.
7987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: China can lift the ban on crypto-currencies and ICO on: March 28, 2018, 05:01:46 PM
That is not how China works, friend. Reshuffle and change is normal, but appointments are made in advance and the central communist party always knows its candidates before the public do. And they always make sure successors know theire place, and follow the guidelines of their predecessors.

If the "ban" is lifted, it will be because the party already determined this. And it will lift it, by the way. It is all part of their big economic agenda. China is not out of crypto.
7988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange Coinbase Interested To Support ERC20 Ethereum Token on: March 28, 2018, 03:51:14 PM
It is all about making money ho hum. All the tokens people THINK will be listed have already rose in price, so yes, too late to get in on them, everything is priced in. I bet there are developers now behind the lines convincing maybe even paying Coinbase to please list their token. Buy the news right? And then another Bitcoin Cash scenario will take place with all the insider trading going on. Got to say well done to Coinbase for manipulating users like this.
7989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Would you recommend selling my Bitcoins now on: March 28, 2018, 01:34:11 PM
Feel pretty sorry for guys like you who came in and embraced crypto the way a lot of newcomers did, only that it was during the peak. Do not let this current period make you down. Why not take the time to learn more about cryptocurrency first? Learn to use it, spend it and talk about it. That also helps its value in the long term. Besides, long term is why you came into crypto, right? If not, maybe best you cut your losses and return to your world of proper money.
7990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves Believer on: March 28, 2018, 08:20:33 AM
I don't really like Waves very much. It might just be personal bias, but most of the coins I've seen that use Waves seem to be junk. Personally I think there are much better alternatives, especially when everything is at such a massive discount right now.

Compared to the ERC20 junk and scams on Ethereum? Does not mean Ethereum is a bad project. Just like scammers using Bitcoin does not make Bitcoin a coin to stay away from! Waves is an alternative, and a good one. Projects that will try to make their foundations on Waves immediately have a good working blockchain (plus decentralized exchange) and it is currently the fastest one in terms of transactions (no cryptokitties jamming it up).
7991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: March 27, 2018, 12:40:19 PM
Okay, so we are seeing a surge in Verge price today. Which is strange. I know the amounts involved with this "huge news" is a lot, but the very fact that it is secret, should that not worry investors instead of making them more upbeat? Or am I simply far beyond understanding how this world of crypto investors work? I have some too, so I am not wishing it doom, but the coin that used to like saying they never had an ICO now has one.

Shrugs and enjoys the ride.
7992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: poker stars raised their rake .. again on: March 27, 2018, 10:33:49 AM
I felt like their new offerings are gearing more and more towards pure luck instead of skill, which is supposed to be what poker is all about. I sink a lot of money into poker and other card games (my personal black hole is black jack, just lost $600 today after playing less than 30 hands haha) but I am beginning to feel that these sites penalize players who play the tables the way they are supposed to. Maybe they make more money from those pure luck gamblers who just keep buying in? Desperate for a good poker site, poker stars actually is attractive but,,, not happy with the lowering values of our bets.
7993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves Believer on: March 27, 2018, 08:25:49 AM
20 times right now actually is not even $100 but never mind the small mathematical blunder.

Fill your bags now for almost any alt that remotely has a development team that is making good progress. Waves I have been the most loyal holder. Never sold at the ATH, I always added below $10 and just lease everything on my account. They are making slow progress, but worthy ones. I noticed they were a partner to Pantos (BitPanda) which I happen to use so am very happy for that.

Do not think it will grow so soon though. This is a hold of many years.
7994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Slack still a legitimate choice for new projects? on: March 27, 2018, 08:16:21 AM
I left Slack along with Telegram but this had little to do with the quality of the discussions, just got very sick of the endless spam and malware I was getting not just inside Slack but in my email (I still get Spam from Slack regrettably).

But for new projects, Slack is still the best. I see the discussions on Gridcoin for example and Byteball, just the best. Telegram is shit. Spammers and bounty hunters and stupid questions.

Disqus is also good and if you prefer a chatroom atmosphere.
7995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Valuable AIRDROPS with decent money. on: March 26, 2018, 07:27:01 PM
I hope you know what you are doing. Getting airdrops for the sake of dumping them for these small profits look like a good idea, but as we can already see from the declining markets, all these airdrop tokens seeing zero use outside of trading on exchanges are not helping long term prospects. People can do as they please, of course, but consider spending your time on projects you actually like. Tokens that have utility, maybe use them for the purposes they are meant for. That is how you create true value. Just saying!
7996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: So many Bounty/ Airdrop, I don't know what to join in? on: March 26, 2018, 05:46:50 PM
Let's be frank and honest here, check our bounty manager profile, he is one of the amazing manager around, no kidding, most of my friends is with his bounty because he's just amazing and good on handling his hunters and he's connected to trustful ICOs.

Okay, let us be frank and honest. It is okay to promote a service you support, but not simply by saying "my friends are with him" or "it is just amazing and connected to trustful" projects. But on a side note, I agree that your current manager (yahoo) would only manage reputable projects, just like mine (Lauda).

In fact, that is one almost sure-fire way to identify great projects - by the managers they hire. It is not foolproof though, but at least you know if the project scams, these managers do their best to rectify situations, as has been proven in the past.

7997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: LocalCoinSwap.Com Seeking Regional Language Managers - All Languages Can Apply on: March 26, 2018, 03:53:01 PM
Good opportunity for many. Just I think a little bit more specific about Responsibility and Earnings would be nice. Wish I could be helpful to you. Appreciate your offer. Good luck.

Agreed. Helpful for both applicant and employer if you just provide a very short list of job duties (what do we need to do) and requirements on availability (how many hours per week, which time zones). I might be interested to apply but only if I am capable of doing it, time wise.

Remuneration details would be appreciated - I already do a remote part time work and will only give it up if obviously I can get better pay Wink
7998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Korean whales will pump TRX to $1 next week on: March 26, 2018, 12:35:54 PM
Nice try. Korean whales want to pump TRX and you decided to share this juicy bit of insider information with us. What are you going to do when this week which has four more days fails to see $1 pump for TRX? Get your account inactive? Cry and sell off all the TRX you bought? Make a new account and start again?

All of the above, I am sure. Shame on your shilling. If you are a true TRX supporter, then you do not have to resort to this type of attempt.
7999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market stabilized? on: March 26, 2018, 11:45:56 AM
Nothing like a Monday morning to speak too soon, yes? I logged in just two hours difference and found Bitcoin dropped $500. Could be temporary, but the Asian markets have just closed and it is noon in Europe now with America yet to wake up. It does seem strange that Asians sold so much Bitcoin but then this is the Monday craze from people hungry to do business. It would seem the market is far from stabilizing. We are in the midst of bear spirited traders and this needs to finish off before we can say it is done.

My thoughts: More dips towards $7k today, but market should resume 10% of value by Friday.
8000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: The Current Crypto-Bear Run Will be Nothing Like 2014 on: March 25, 2018, 03:56:59 PM
Something else not probably mentioned. The "market" in 2014 was probably only highly technical people and whales. Early adopters. Today, we've got a lot of non-crypto people in the market. Big bank people, people who know nothing about blockchain and care nothing about their techs, just speculating and trading. They probably deposit fiat into exchanges and only withdraw fiat. They have no bitcoin and crypto wallets, they just care about Tethers and account balances. So volume is in the hands of non crypto holders, in reality. That is very different scenario that should make a difference.
