82  Local / Ekonomi, Politik, dan Budaya / Re: Fenomena BISNIS DITUTUP[Diskusi] on: February 06, 2024, 01:39:56 PM

85  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make reading a habit on: February 05, 2024, 04:10:15 PM
Well, in my opinion, it's already weird that a person doesn't like reading and writing but they decide to join an online forum. Our main activity in this forum is Reading and Writing, if we don't like those activity then I think we shouldn't join the forum. There are a lot of alternative other than forum if anyone want to learn crypto but they doesn't like reading and writing. Video Lesson is one of them, for some people who enjoy visual learning with Video Lesson will be more suitable. There are also some crypto event and seminar that most of time including learning crypto from the beginning, for people who are enjoying real life community and socializing.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be stolen? on: February 05, 2024, 04:03:40 PM
The easier answer is yes Bitcoin can be stolen, but if we want to talk more technical, the thing that is stolen is the private key rater than the Bitcoin itself. There is no way to steal Bitcoin other than taking over the Private Key. That's why most people is recommending Non-Custodial wallet because we will be in control of the Private Key, so we can make sure and do our best to keep our private key safe.
s
On the opposite, a custodial or exchange wallet is not fully in our control, there are a lot of cases where exchange got hacked, and people's money are stolen. And a small hole in the security system Hacker could own the whole wallet of exchange account.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who says Tesla initiated last bull run is wrong on: February 05, 2024, 03:57:09 PM
I don't think the tweet need to be taken seriously, the guy just spitting some non-sense without any argument. As far as I remember, the last Bitcoin bullrun is April 2021, and if I am not mistaken at the time tesla - in this case in Elon Musk -  accepting crypto payment and shilling Crypto, Bitcoin is already in a bull run. What Tesla do is riding the wave in the event of Crypto emergence in the difficult time of Covid. I doubt that Tesla has ever give any significant effect -good or bad-  to Bitcoin price.
88  Economy / Economics / Re: Leadership and Economics on: February 05, 2024, 03:51:21 PM
I think everyone will agree that a good leader will affect economic condition of a countries and people,

But the real question is what constitutes a good leader?
In term of economy, should a leader have a really good understanding on financial and fiscal condition, or they can just pick a good person and appoint him as an economic minister to handle the economy, or a good leader should handle it by himself. There are also some aspects other than economic that determine wether a leader is good or bad.

A good leader not only make the economic thrive but also will make the economic condition fair to everyone, and give the same chance and opportunity for everyone especially people who are not in fortune. And the goal is to make the economic gap between the richest and the less rich getting closer.
89  Economy / Economics / Re: Carbon markets and climate change mitigation, Are we in the right direction? on: February 04, 2024, 11:17:24 PM
Carbon trading is the most ridiculous solution for Climate change, this loop holes is used by first world countries to continue emitting carbon and destroying environment, while at the same time discouraging 3rd world country to develop their industry. Those already developed nation basically saying that, 'Let us advanced while destroying the world, and you guys can stay in the jungle'.

Some research might say that Carbon Trading help Reduce Emission but it's still questionable, there is not enough evidence that Carbon Trading is has significant effect on reducing emission, Based on this article. While the benefit is remain vague, the harm is inevitable, the economic gap between Third World Nation and Developed Nation will be wider because Third World Nation will be discouraged and even politically forced to halt developing their industry for the reason to help climate crisis, while those already rich country can keep polluting the world in the name of technology advancement.
90  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should prioritize investment over saving on: February 04, 2024, 11:01:16 PM
I tend to disagree that we should prioritize investment over saving, my argument is that we never know when we will need an emergency money. Investment is not always quick selling, Bitcoin or Crypto for example, there will be a time when you need some emergency cash but your the market condition is not good, and if you sell your Bitcoin at that time you will suffer significant loss, but if we have enough saving to cover the emergency we don't need sell those Bitcoin at bad time.

So, my conclusion is that we still need to save for emergency fund, for me personally I save 6x of my average monthly cost for emergency, when we already have enough money on our saving for emergency, only then we can focus on investing and stop prioritizing on saving.
91  Economy / Economics / Re: Coping with Risk. on: February 04, 2024, 07:48:47 AM
For me running physical business is harder and are more risky compared to just doing online investment. Running a Physical Business required us to communicate and make relationship with people, and is involving many parties, for me working with other people is a lot harder because our business will be very dependent to their action and sometimes our reaction doesn't do much. With online investment, even if you said that it's a high risk of hack, our own action still significantly affect the trajectory of our investment, we can do our best to enhance the security of our investment so hacker will have difficulty hacking it.

All that being said, by running a physical business you are helping to run and grow the economy around you, employing people and help them to get a job. I always adore and amazed by people who can build their own business.
92  Economy / Economics / Re: are we returning to stone age? on: February 04, 2024, 07:38:12 AM
First thing first, after I read your whole point, what you are describing is still abstract and vague, nothing is specific so I can't decide whether I have seen it around or not. But at least I found that everything is normal in my city, I don't find any radical change. I haven't seen anyone living their life like there is no tomorrow, education is still normal, people are still going to college and they still graduate and then going to work.

In term of life expectancy there are some decrease starting from 2019 but it's not significant just 1-2 years, and probably because covid, so I don't find any extreme situation around me.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Binary Trade Better or Better to Buy and Hold Bitcoin? on: February 03, 2024, 01:31:28 PM
What platform are you using to do Binary Trade? Most of those online binary trading is fraud. Their system is rigged, you can use 2 accounts make high/low options, and sometimes you will see on the same site, with the same pair, at the same time the price movement is different, meaning that they are not using real-time market, they manipulate it so they can decide whether you will get profit or loss.

Other than that it is always better when you can actually own your investment, not just playing with numbers, that's why buying Bitcoin and hold them in your own non-custodial wallet is the safest way.
94  Economy / Economics / Re: A course worth studying ? on: February 03, 2024, 01:22:44 PM
"Economics is a day-to-day practice and is an easy endeavor made difficult for study reasons",

Well if that was the main reason, then with the internet, all kind of study is easily accessible , and with other technology almost anyone can practice anything,

Now, is nothing worth studying, in formal education and university?

I tend to disagree, sure you can learn any skills or knowledge on your own independently, but in University and Formal Education you will be guided personally by someone with experience, and they will make you learn the fundamental, step-by-step, comprehensively and coherently, you won't get that if you learn practicing by yourself or just from the Internet. You will meet fellow student who has the same interest, you will assisted and assessed, so you can montiro your improvement and growth.
95  Economy / Economics / Re: Why does a country borrow money from the world bank even when they can afford it on: February 03, 2024, 01:15:31 PM
One of the possible reason is that they use the money to buy/import some stuff from other country, this transaction usually done with either USD or the Seller Currency, the country who are willing to buy can't print those currency, so they either need to buy it with the currency of their country but if they do that it will hurt the value of their currency, so instead of printing money to buy other country's money that might cost more for their economic, borrowing USD from the world bank will cost less.
96  Economy / Economics / Re: Business/Entrepreneurship. on: February 03, 2024, 03:50:11 AM
If that's the different between Entrepreneurship and Business then starting business is much more easier compared to become an entrepreneur. With all the technology and convenience we already have today there is not much of problems left to be solved, let a lone solve them. I didn't mean that we don't have any problem any more, it's just you will to be a genius to find a problem and then solve it, or you are forced to make up a problem that's actually not a problem and think that you solve those unnecessary problems.

If I have money to start one of those, I would definitely pick business over entrepreneurship, and I will start a business that I already understand. I wouldn't put money on something that I do not completely understand, that will be a big bad bet.

100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump sells $2.4 million worth of ETH on: January 28, 2024, 10:28:50 PM

i guess if trump is a little interested in crypto about its advantages and uses i guess if he becomes president he will make policies that will benefit traders in the country, who knows Grin Grin Grin

though he got those ETH for free through those NFT royalties, it's still a big mistake to sell it while the bull run hasn't come yet. he has tons of money so there is no reason for him to sell them.

I doubt that Trump or his employee that handle this transaction care or know about crypto market, let alone about the bull run. Actually it's even surprising for them to know how to sell the ETH  Grin. I think it's understandable that they want to get all the money they can get now since they need it to fund their campaign for the 2024 presidential election.

I think that's one good way to get campaign fund, by selling Trump NFT, tho I thought that since Trump himself is Anti-Crypto so most of his supporter is anti-crypto too or maybe the one whos buying his NFT is not even his supporter. Anyway I hope that after he knew that crypto help him fund his campaign maybe he would be understand more about crypto, and take some interest.
