81  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold , Silver Or Crypto? on: April 22, 2022, 10:33:36 PM
Precious metals is definitely more "proven" as an asset class.

However, I think the future is going to be crypto. There is virtually no benefit in holding precious metals over crypto given all of the advantages that it has.

If you are going to be in PMs though I would suggest silver - it is undervalued by historical standards via the gold/silver ratio, it is significantly more industrially useful compared to gold, and has more of a community following it.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Paradox of Gambling behavior on: April 22, 2022, 09:58:59 PM
People simply don't put a lot of thought into choosing the game that they play.

Not a lot of people actually understand that there is a difference, RTP/house edge wise, between different games.

Lottery in this instance is the absolute worse game that you can partake in because it is designed to bring huge revenue to the state offices. Blackjack is generally one of the highest paying games (if you can master basic strategy and a little bit of card counting for real life play).
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making e-sports more affordable on: April 22, 2022, 09:43:45 PM
I mean, it's already clear that more games are moving towards free to play or even play to earn.

Not sure outside of that how much more affordable things can be?

I would suggest though that the main issue right now with the esports betting scene is how absurdly low some of the limits are on betting on these things. You can't be a whale and participate in these betting markets which is definitely a shame since there is a lot of capital ready to be unleashed imho.
84  Economy / Economics / Re: What should be a good ROI for a startup? on: April 22, 2022, 01:46:36 AM
Startups usually generate much higher ROI - at least successful ones.

But that's part of the risk that you take investing in early, seed-stage companies or even pre-seed. You have insane upside but all the downside as well.

It's not unheard of for triple digit growth in the first few years of operation as the startup is rapidly scaling etc. But you have to realise the difference between revenue growth and actual earnings growth as well, companies don't usually become profitable until much later.
85  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: April 22, 2022, 01:14:26 AM
I am not entirely sure if its even a "problem", I mean I get that we could be considering this as something annoying but it was solved after all so why would it be something that keeps you away from gambling? I could say that its definitely not something we would love, if I had 32 bitcoins and it was blocked from me for like 20 hours or so, I would be worried as well and I would be afraid. That part is understandable and you could swear off even gambling let alone gambling here. However, it was fixed so I am not really sure if it should be worrisome? I would basically be happy about this instead of being upset, because even though there were some problems, it was fixed and thats a proof that its a good place.

I completely agree with this.

I saw the thread that the guy made and it's just completely unreasonable in my opinion to expect Rollbit to pay out such large wins so quickly.

@Rollbit i think you did the right thing. As a business you do have to protect your bases in case there was some sort of exploit, and it's industry standard to do so.
86  Economy / Gambling / Re: [SOLVED] 32 BTC, RollBit withdrawal problem on: April 21, 2022, 08:28:30 PM
Solved, received the money all ok, 31.96860000 BTC.
But still sad about situation and idk should i play there anymore, hope they will solve all problems with payments.

It is a *huge* amount that very few sites carry around in their hot wallet - so I'll give Rollbit the benefit of the doubt here.

Besides, this did get resolved quite efficiently even though there was a bit of a delay. It could be a genuine concern on their end for the legitimacy of the bet.

If anything, I think Rollbit has proved themselves to be more trustworthy as a result of this prompt resolution. Kudos to them.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SOLANA GO TO...? on: April 21, 2022, 10:10:29 AM
What do you think about the SOL coin, they said they would join opensea so that currently the exchange on the Solana network is very crowded and withdrawals have been suspended on any exchange.
does this bode well for this coin or is it the other way around? Wink

I feel like that SOL is an imperfect project that people have hyped up throughout 2021.

I don't think that there is a long term potential to replace ETH, but price action often goes against intuition or fundamentals.

If I had to take a guess then I would say it will continue to hover around the $100 mark during this bear market, but within the next bull market it could well hit over $200. But overall it is still up to the wider crypto dynamics to govern these moves.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shiba INU Losing its Grip Over the Bullish Momentum, Will SHIB Price plunge hard on: April 21, 2022, 05:51:24 AM
Why are we still talking about this?

I thought that the community was in agreement that SHIB is essentially a shitcoin that has absolutely zero future. What's the point of continuing to try and predict what the price movements are going to be?

If you got rich off SHIB, congratulations. But even now is probably a great time to cash out given the intrinsic value of this project is virtually zero.
89  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you prefer lots of promotions over better RTP? on: April 21, 2022, 03:34:58 AM
Even though RTP is one of the most find by the different gambler with also higher offer i guess still in the gambling platform it might be a lose to their side unless there's a largest wager event and only people who are in the top 10 approximately are the one who have the opportunity, but i saw different platform offering with higher RTP i guess this is part of their marketing strategy which is good too its all about the decision of the gambling platform at the end of the day its their reputation and earnings too.
Waggerring offer is profitable for only those who played more but good RTP is for all the gamblers. In this case dont you think RTP is more important than waggerring. Also, the higher the rank is the higer the waggerring bonus is. But RTP plays same role for all the gamblers.

Yeah, I guess it depends on what type of player you are.

If you are grinding for these levels then sure. Promos could make a bit more sense for you.

But to get to these wagering levels you have to run through a lot of betting volume anyway and you're significantly worse off if you have a bad RTP to work with to begin with. So definitely agree with your sentiment that RTP is more important in the big picture.

91  Economy / Gambling / Re: Online casino. What's the reliability of the technology? on: April 21, 2022, 12:36:56 AM
To what extent is the online  slot game machine RTP reliable based on it's technology?

As has been happening in many aspects of the Internet, it is not that the technology is reliable, it is that it is even better than that of the physical roulette, since there are no physical imperfections in the algorithm.

It is always better to play in reputable casinos just in case, because scams abound on the internet, and more in the crypto world, but casinos are money-making machines if they manage to attract customers, and even more if they make them loyal with promotions. With RTP technology they ensure a certain amount of profit per x spins on average.

Yeah your point here is spot on.

If done right, online casinos can definitely be more effective compared to physical ones in this regard because they have a very strict EV for each bet.

But to add, this can be manipulated by bad-actors so you need to be on the lookout for rigged games that are not provably fair or pretending to be provably fair. These are definitely not great ways to spend your money/time in my opinion.
92  Economy / Gambling / Re: 500 CASINO ⚽️ SPORTSBOOK HERE 🎡 Wheel & Casino 💰 No-Sticky Bonus 🎟️ on: April 20, 2022, 10:49:24 PM
Also, we're introducing USDT deposits based on the previous poll results. Currently it's on ERC20 but we all want lower fees so expect more networks to follow suit in the near future

I would definitely going for more networks.

I think that TRON is sort of the default for low fee USDT transfer these days. ETH gas fees make it completely un-worthwhile to use imho.

For the second poll for crypto, I definitely would go with BNB - I think that a lot of people use BSC in the Asian regions. USDC serves the same functionality as USDT so there is not as much value added imo.
93  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔹1win.pro 🔹| iGaming Platform | Crypto&Fiat | Bonus +500% To the first deposit on: April 20, 2022, 08:58:09 PM
Has there been any proof providing for the 5 million users that they have worldwide which they claim?

Also, are all withdrawals really fee-free? Because if that is the case, how do you plan on keeping people who use your service as a crypto wallet of sorts out? Or are you okay with people doing that?

With the fiat integration I'm assuming that KYC is probable if you use the platform long/frequent enough as well?
94  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: April 20, 2022, 08:30:08 AM
It seems that Blackjack.fun website has a small innovation. As far as I remember, earlier information about estimated fee for the withdrawal was not displayed. In any case, I definitely like it.

As you can see in the picture, fee in my withdraw was ~0.00001 BTC, but after checking in the blockexplorer, I saw that it is ~0.0000035 BTC. Of course, the smaller difference pleases, but I would like to know why?

I think this was introduced a while ago actually.

I personally really like it and I think it reflects how willing Blackjack.fun is to listen and innovate according to community sentiment.

Me and a couple of other community members reflected the fact that there is no such indicator of fees several weeks ago and it's already patched. Bravo to the dev team - they really respond very efficiently to queries.

In terms of the difference, it could be that they charge an extra fee to cover for the costs of running the hosted wallets - but I obviously could be wrong.
95  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: April 20, 2022, 08:20:51 AM
I made a topic 4 years ago that asked if casino site owners and operators were interested in integrating/implementing the Lightning Network for their service. It had just three replies, and two were mine. Hahaha.

I want to ask again, and this time to the users. Will you use the Lightning Network if available? Or will you continue to use whichever altcoin you're currently using?

Not really. Maybe when fees were higher.

I think the fees are low enough right now for me to use BTC if I wanted to without having to use LN.

Also the adoption rates of LN is so low outside of a few niche merchants. Half or more of BTC users probably have never even used it once in their entire lives, which makes building LN infrastructure a very tall task.
96  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk makes offer to buy Twitter on: April 20, 2022, 08:06:07 AM
It's a true power move.

I do think that this sort of outlandish hostile takeover activity is going to attract a lot more invigilation from the regulatory bodies, which is not necessarily something that he wants.

However, the twitter board does look particularly weak right now and I don't think that there is an easy way out for them. But this situation for Elon isn't that clean either - he needs to get the funds to actually buy out Twitter if the deal goes through (which it probably wouldn't).
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Still Supporting And Playing On Newly Launch Casinos on: April 20, 2022, 07:39:20 AM
Almost every week there are one or two new casinos launching here, this section is already a big number of casinos there are good and bad new casinos here, these new casinos know that for them to stay in the game and be competitive they have offer new things and bonuses and giveaways.

Are you still supporting new casinos even if you're already playing in so many casinos do you still have room for new casino to deposit and play?

I try to, because to me healthy competition is the only way that we're going to see any sort of growth in this field.

There is only a few each month that are worth trying out, though. Most are garbage.

I do notice that the ones that are new which really want to establish their presence have great promos running most of the time - and those can actually be taken advantage of as +EV opportunities.
98  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and investment on: April 16, 2022, 11:22:10 PM
We all know that almost the entire world is currently experiencing variable inflation, and my country is no exception. Almost all goods prices have gone up, financial stability has been disrupted and most of us have had to incur additional costs to pay our bills due to rising tariffs and taxes.

At the same time I am still thinking about investing even though I am really having a hard time achieving financial stability at the moment. If previously I could save 50% of my total income for investment then for now only 25% seems difficult. If you are also experiencing this condition, then I have a few questions to answer.

  • Will you continue to invest even if it is only 10%-20% of your total monthly income?
  • How do you achieve financial stability during this inflation?

Share some of your thoughts, I think it would be good to consider especially as long as this kind of condition persists for a long time.

Yeah, for sure.

You want to be saving & investing as much as possible during this period, as well as stocking up on essentials wherever you can because inflation can really bite you in the arse when you least expect it.

I would also strongly suggest anyone looking into inflation hedges to stay away from the stock market and real estate markets, which are clearly in huge bubbles right now. Invest in traditional inflation hedges like gold/silver or cryptos instead as they have a capped supply.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIB Listed in Robin Hood on: April 16, 2022, 10:03:59 PM
Oh please.

SHIB is nothing but a shitcoin that is going to trend towards zero as a matter of time.

The RH listing is probably the pinnacle of the hype, and likely one of the last times that SHIB will see a significant green candle come its way. Memecoins will be the hardest hit in this bear market, mark my words.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel about loans on the crypto space? on: April 16, 2022, 09:40:15 PM
I have heard about this option since a long time ago on big names, such as Binance or Crypto.com, haven't needed them at the time, but, now looking at some possible loans, I encountered smaller projects that will offer the same service, but, better benefits, like Proteus Finance and was wondering if you have any other reliable crypto loan options that have used in the past

I mean, it serves a purpose. What else is there to say about it?

Most loans are going to be collateralised and for a reason. In the cryptospace it is very difficult to make sure that people without collateral pay you back; which means that it is completely unfeasible for any borrower who is just looking for short term relief in their living expenses to get a no-collat loan.

Binance/crypto.com also have pretty high interest rates compared to traditional loans so that's also something to consider. But perhaps, it is worth it.
