It's hard to understand the % of each coin that you are holding. Here is some advice, go to cryptofolio.info and on this website enter all of your coins, this way you will be able to easily see the percentages of each coin you are holding, and you will be able to tell easily where to trim. When you do it post an screenshot here.

Im not familiar with half of these coins, but I would hold them depending on your entry points. Don't forget that BTC is king so don't gamble to much with your BTC position.

84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Portugal Joins Spain, France in Cash Crackdown on: September 07, 2017, 04:16:01 PM
The main value proposition of Bitcoin is to store your wealth on it and watch it go up as shit like this goes down.

Bitcoin doesn't need any other fancy features, it's ok as it is. The killer app is to store your wealth, get some popcorn and watch it moon.
85  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: September 07, 2017, 04:09:23 PM
I've been watching this thread like a hawk ever since it got posted, and unfortunately I missed the free spots. It's always closed, I never catch a free one.
Man the day I manage to get on this campaign im throwing a party.

I would like to get reviewed in order to get deleted from the SMAS list, but I don't know how to check the "number of the round". How do I check that?
Look through the thread and find the round that you were banned in. Each one should be posted.

It was definitely ages ago, more than 60 days for sure, I just don't remember when it was exactly.
All requests are on hold as I can't process them at this time. The backlog will be worked through in the second part of August (hopefully). Anyhow, do not expect me to be any softer than before even though Bitmixer campaign has ended.

I finally found the round, its round 22:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1657397.msg18584190#msg18584190

I think my posts are decent enough.. im no Dr Adam Back but I know one thing or two about BTC, my grammar is good and I barely even post more than 5 times a day.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan the leader of Bitcoin trading on: August 10, 2017, 03:11:09 PM
Japan continues to lead in Bitcoin trading, guess japan is hope for the future of cryptocurrencies ;

https://blog.eth-price.com/2017/08/10/japan-korea-bitcoin-trading/

Japan is also accepting bitcoin in a ton of shops. I plan to eventually visit japan because I love videogames and all that geeky stuff that you can find in places like Akihabara . It would be super handy to not need to deal with annoying fiat conversions and just pay with your phone. Hopefully once lightning network is active, we can pay with BTC everywhere instantly. Im hoping it happens somewhere next year.

Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but lauda i got banned from bitmixers campaign, i was away for few weeks but when i got back, i found that i was banned from the bitmixer campaign.. can you kindly tell me the reason of suspension? I pmed you 3 days ago about the issue, no response so far.. sorry again if this isn't the right place to ask this. Thank you.
Frequently Asked Questions

3. How can I get unbanned?
Send me a PM (do not post in this thread) with the number of the round in which you were banned. Only apply for a 'unban/review' if 60 days have passed since your ban. If you apply before 60 days have passed, you will be instantly denied. I will try to respond to these requests within 7 days.
The current delay is over 14 days for any requests. This means that once I start handling requests, they will be handled starting with the oldest non-handled one.

My mistake didn't read the article fully. I will wait for my turn. Thank you for clearing this out.. sorry again for the inconvenience caused. Do you want to me to delete the above post?
You do not need to.

89  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is skyrocketing on: August 08, 2017, 06:36:44 PM
Recent charts shows that Bitcoin is going up and is still doing so as of today.
But the question is, when will it last? And when is the right time to sell?
What is your benchmark in deciding when to sell some Bitcoins?
BTCBTCBTC

Im not selling Bitcoin until at least november, because Jeff Garzik and company will be pushing the segwit2x attack again. There will be a dip which smart money will buy. Dumb money will be shaken out as always.

Once segwit2x is out of the picture, along with Bitcoin Cash, the journey to $10,000 will begin.

The more failed attempts to fork BTC, the harder it will be, so the future attempts will be less and less relevant. In fact, now that BCash is dead, I doubt segwit 2x will have any impact at all...
90  Economy / Speculation / Re: r0ach proven right - Bitcoin market is a Gox-style fraud controlled by Bitfinex on: August 08, 2017, 04:57:20 PM
This is nothing but conspiracy theory thus far.

LOL nice try shill, calling easy to recognize Bitfinex fraud a "conspiracy theory".  This is no "theory", they made their fraud blatantly obvious for all to see.

Im not a bitfinex shill and I couldn't care less if there was manipulation or not. If you are an adult you should consider by default that all markets are manipulated to some extent, including gold, yet I don't see you talking about gold market manipulation.

Once Bitcoin is worth trillions, the manipulation will be less noticeable like gold, because it becomes harder to have a big impact on the price. Until then, Bitcoin will keep going up, metals will continue being a disappointment.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockstream employee delivers the bad news for BitcoinCore coin. on: August 08, 2017, 02:51:11 PM
Meanwhile Bitcoin Cash like: https://zander.github.io/posts/bcc-fees/

 Cool

Hold your Bitcoin Cash. Selling could be the worst mistake of your life.

Nobody is using Bitcoin Cash other than people making transactions to dump it for BCC. Nobody but some idiots would want to have Bitcoin nodes centralized inside china. Nobody wants a coin that is mined by "ViaBTC + "other"" (BitmainCoin).

Accept defeat already. Bitcoin Crash was DOA. It may have artificial pumps here and there like ETC: doesn't matter.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockstream employee delivers the bad news for BitcoinCore coin. on: August 08, 2017, 01:31:27 PM
well it is sad to admit but if that happens, bitcoin dies. simple.
people won't continue using bitcoin if the fees continuously go up. and you know fees go up because there are more transaction than there is block size which means some tx won't confirm.
people will simply switch to an altcoin or build a bitcoin from zero block and with 0 MB blockchain size.

and don't get excited the 8 MB block is even worse. the centralization that brings is 100 times worse.

Bitcoin will never die. People that cannot afford on-chain fees will get kicked out of the network, because decentralization is expensive, but you got sold the lie of it being cheap.

If you cannot afford onchain transaction, wait for LN, which is better than any other shitcoin or the banking system of course.

The fees will go up a lot because of Roger Ver spam, because we are still far from real mainstream usage.
93  Economy / Speculation / Re: r0ach proven right - Bitcoin market is a Gox-style fraud controlled by Bitfinex on: August 07, 2017, 03:24:16 PM
This is nothing but conspiracy theory thus far. What is clear is, Bitcoin was the thing to hold and still is, and gold should have been dumped a long time ago. Look at the graphs and see for yourself.

Sorry r0ach, but you did a big mistake dumping all of your coins a long time ago and betting for gold, time to admit that.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Bittrex taking 20 confirmations to deposit BCash? on: August 07, 2017, 02:17:22 PM
It's a safety precaution. For your protection.

Right now, blocks @ 55 min. So a day won't kill you.

Yup, but imagine that you need to send a separate transaction for every single different address you have, as you should, because otherwise your privacy is compromised, since all of your coins would be joined within the same address, a big mistake for your anonymity again.

So that means, if you received BTC 100 times under 100 different addresses, you need to make 100 different transactions into Bittrex. At current rate, that's 100 days!!!

Why is few people talking about this problem?

That's not how this works.

Each transaction taking 20 transactions are not additive. You can send however many transaction you want, they'll be confirmed in 20 blocks from the time you have sent them so if you send a lot, all of them will get confirmed at the same time.

Ah that is true. I realized it gets added in batches of 20 minute blocks (apparently now every 10 minutes, according to the poster above which seems he works at bittrex)

Im going to try sending some transactions just to test things out and see what happens. Hopefully everything goes okay.

96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Why is Bittrex taking 20 confirmations to deposit BCash? on: August 06, 2017, 05:10:47 PM
When trying to dump my BCash for more BTC, I am faced with several problems. One of them, is needing to send a transaction for each public key in order to maintain privacy.

The other is, how slow BCash is. Bittrex is taking 20 confirmations for deposits, which means it will take me forever to dump the entirity of my wallet.

I have seen other exchanges, that don't require 20 confirmations. Why does Bitttrex require 20 confirmations, while others like Bitfinex seem to take less? Is it safe to take less than 20 confirmations when depositing? Please help.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A question for Bitcoin holders about BitcoinCash on: August 06, 2017, 03:44:02 PM
Obviously i've dumped that altcoin at $390, but i wish i could sell it when the price was at $600 because very slow confirmation due to very high difficult with low mining hashrate.

When the blockchain hard forked, I did not care about splitting my coins. But when I saw it was trading at more than $500, I decided to split them later and to wait for the price to go higher. But the price dived and now I regret it.

What about the rest of you, have you already dumped?

I haven't dumped yet, because I dont know how to do this process and maintain privacy.

Exchanges are asking us to deposit our entire bitcoin wallet into a single deposit address. I cant find exchanges that will create a new address each transaction.

Not to mention how annoying the whole process is if you need to transact every single public address and pay the fees and wait for the slow BChain etc.

Actually few exchange let you "generate new address" and they don't ask your identity/verification if you don't trade in big amount. Also, i think you can use feature "send all" rather than transact every single public address and even low fees won't make confirmation longer since the block isn't full.

But don't you see the problem in sending all at once?

You are killing your privacy, because you are sending your entire wallet into a single transaction. This means that now, everyone that had your public key, can know that you own these other bitcoins in other keys too, because it all got sent at the same time in a joined transaction into the same address...

This is giving me an headache. I wish bitcoin was truly fungible.
98  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: are bitcointalk accounts worth money on: August 06, 2017, 02:02:19 PM
Ive recently noticed their is a auction to buy accounts. How are they valuable and also how are they generating btc if they are? some feed back would be greatly appreciated by me and other users oblivious to this..

Yes, they are worth quite a lot of money, specially Hero Member and above. Legendary definitely used to go above 1 BTC.

I would never sell mine. I spent too much time here, posting and learning. It would be sad to give my account to someone else, even if I got paid 1 BTC. Also, it's very noticeable usually, because the people buying it have broken english, and spam too many posts a day. I don't want to see my account spamming 30 posts of broken english a day to get sig campaign bonus and get it banned. Im ok with sig campaigns, but 30+ posts is too much, and if it's in broken english then it's just laughable.

Maybe in 10 years when bitcointalk.org is the biggest forum on the planet and 1 Legendary Account is worth a million dollars, I will sell it :p
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone confirm this is a correct way to dump BCH coming from Bitcoin Core? on: August 06, 2017, 12:53:19 PM
I guess what we need now is a list of exchanges that generate a new deposit address per transaction, but I can't find such exchange. The ones I tried use a persistent one, at least Poloniex seem to not be changing the deposit address.

How do we get past this?
Bitfinex allows customers to generate new deposit addresses at (near) unlimited frequency (I am fairly confident there is some limit, I just don't know what it is -- you should be find generating a new deposit address for each deposit you make). I am not sure about any other exchange that supports BCH.

I am not 100% sure about the blockchain files referenced in step 2. If you can do this, you may need to take steps to ensure your node is looking at the correct blockchain.

You may be able to use a light client. I also believe you can broadcast transactions from one or more of the bch block explorers (possibly via tor) if you are worried about privacy and light clients.

Im also not sure on this one. Im using the BCash node on another computer as theymos recommended, to not overwrite any files from Core's full node folder. What extra steps need to be taken?
I believe that Bitcoin Cash consensus rules say that block 478559 (?) must be <1MB, so you will need to get your node to validate the blockchain at least from that point. I am not familiar with the Bitcoin Cash full node client to know if this is possible, and if so how to do this. You may need to download the blockchain from satoshi's first block again.

I was told the method of putting your wallet.dat on there works and you can directly send the coins to the exchange but I would also like some other people to confirm this is right.
Once you have your private keys imported into the Bitcoin Cash wallet, you can send your BCH directly to an exchange, or any other entity that you wish to spend them to.

Do you know what kind of information you need to handle to Bitfinex to make crypto to crypto transactions?

With Bittrex it used to be none, but now, Bittrex is asking about real name, place of birth, address... and a lot of other things, and if you try to fake them, you can't beecause they check against public records, and then if they don't match your account becomes blocked and they ask for a phone SMS confirmation. I think this is ridiculous for crypto to crypto transactions.

Not sure how Bitfinex works. Can you register without any data, and if yes, what is the limit of BTC withdraw per day?
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone confirm this is a correct way to dump BCH coming from Bitcoin Core? on: August 06, 2017, 02:46:24 AM
Im running Bitcoin Core and I had all my money there when the split happened so I have all my BTC also on the BCash chain.

I just want to be safe than sorry. This is what I have on mind:

1) Download Bitcoin Cash client (from www.bitcoincash.org) in another computer to guarantee my Bitcoin Core install stays clean.
2) Copy my wallet.dat and the blockchain files on the Bitcoin Cash client
3) Wait for it to validate
4) Once it's done (I guess this will take a couple of hours... maybe a day?) I should have the same amount of BTC I have showing up as BCH
5) This is the step im not sure about. Can I send my coins safely to an exchange from there?

Also, how do I maintain privacy? The exchanges I've used, generate the same receiving address for deposits, so my entire wallet would be linked to the same address...

How can I deposit all of my BTC (which consist of 100's of transactions) into the exchange without lossing privacy?

This is something I hate about bitcoin. You have to be so careful. I wish I could click "send" and forget about it. Having to keep track of inputs and outputs its a massive time waster and a headacher maker.

Anyway, please help me do this right.

Step one should be to transfer your existing Bitcoin to another new wallet first before importing your private keys into a BCH wallet. The risk is a compromised BCH wallet that would steal your existing Bitcoin. You can claim your BCH from the same keys that held a BTC balance at the time of the fork, even though now the Bitcoin has been transferred somewhere else.

As far as the privacy issue, unless you have a significant amount of Bitcoin I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you do have a large amount, then yes I would take measures to try and send the amounts to as many different addresses as much as possible. I know Kraken and Coinbase allow you to generate new addresses, I am not sure about other exchanges.

I should also add that when you are done transferring all of your BTC and BCH out of your existing wallet, consider all those keys as being compromised. I would backup a copy of the wallet dat somewhere in case you would accidentally send to an old address in the future, but afterward would wipe that machine and reinstall a new bitcoin wallet and generate new keys to use to move you money back into. A hardware wallet would work as well, the takeaway is you do not want to reuse any of those private keys. And you have already identified the need to keep your BCH wallet on a separate machine from your Bitcoin Core wallet, which I think is prudent.

You can never be too secure is my belief. A bit of inconvenience is well worth it if it means protecting your money

Moving my BTC from the Bitcoin Core into another wallet makes sense, so the addresses don't match with the other chain's addresses, but I only trust Bitcoin Core, so I would need to create a new wallet, create all the receiving addresses I need, then go back to the original wallet, send the coins on the new wallet, then go to my laptop on the Bitcoin Cash node folder, and get the now empty wallet.dat and put it there. By the time it syncs my BCC should show up, now I can send these coins into an exchange.

I wouldn't need to wipe the machine because I didn't install any software, I guess you mean my laptop where I would install Bitcoin Cash, but there's nothing at all on my laptop of any value anyway.
