761  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / What happens if Trezor's hardware gets updated? on: January 11, 2016, 05:56:13 PM
Let's say they release a better hardware version, and yours get updated... now you feel like you are using deprecated hardware. Should they send people that already bought the original a new version for free? or are you supposed to buy new versions every X year? I have my doubts of this being ethical, but business is business I guess.
762  Economy / Economics / Re: The new dark age on: January 11, 2016, 12:02:20 AM
It's too much what OP is saying but he is not in the wrong track, if we are going to try to predict the future, we need to consider all of the current trends, and all of the current trends point at some sort of collapse.
763  Other / Meta / Re: Random untrusted negative trust by some guy because I didn't agree with his view on: January 10, 2016, 11:40:23 PM
I would not worry about his feedback. Danielpbarron is a troll that no one cares about. His feedback means nothing to anyone.
You are right, this should be the case, but the guy that was running the signature campaing rejected me thanks to this troll:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1236667.msg13509823#msg13509823

This makes me sad, as I have been trying to contribute in a decent way for 1+ year and im about to become Hero Member. I hope this is the exception and most people don't pay attention to untrusted neg trust when hiring for promoting a brand (signature campaing) or escrowing services, because it's just not fair.

Point him to this thread and let him see that was troll feedback... I also have a negative from him and I think I am still pretty trusted.

I told him that what my account has wouldn't be considered as negative trust by anyone with grey matter but for some reason he still refuses to accept me which is confusing.

765  Other / Meta / Random untrusted negative trust by some guy because I didn't agree with his view on: January 10, 2016, 11:10:43 PM
I just got rejected to enter a sig campaing because the guy that runs it said that I have negative trust, which is false, unless you take untrusted negative trust seriously, but it's even more annoying when the guy that sends you this valueless untrusted negative trust is a guy that actually has real negative trust and has been accused by a ton of people of being a troll that sends untrusted negative trust to everyone that doesn't agree with his views:

Trust:    0: -0 / +0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=381190

As you can see I only have this by him, and he has this:

Trust:    -8: -3 / +0
Warning: Trade with extreme caution!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=309759

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=309759

So I can't believe how unfair this is to me, that a random person ruins my account to enter certain sig campaigns only because the guy that runs it decides that every single negative trust counts even if they are untrusted and from trolls... something needs to be done.

What's even funnier is I don't even agree with what I said back then, I used to want a fork for bigger blocks and nowadays I changed my view. But it's still stupid that people can do this to your account only because you politely disagree in a discusion.. its just insane.

No one consider untrusted feedback as real because there are trolls like this guy that use it in a stupid way. So it's ridiculous that you are saying I have negative trust, offensive even.

Sorry, still you cannot join.

Thank you.

I am interested in entering this campaign.

If there is anything you need to know, just ask in any of the PMs I assume you'll send.

PM sent.

Best regards.

But why exactly? Since I have no negative trust.

I would like to join, but i wouldn't like to lose my spot of Bitmixer, so please drop a PM if you accept me so I can change the signature.
I would like to join the signature campaign

Hello,

Your trust rating is negative. You cannot join.

I would like to join the BETCOIN.ag signature campaign.
I would like to join this campaign.

PM sent.

BTW. In ~30min "250 GTD Weekly THANK YOU Freeroll will start Smiley
If you participated during the Stage 2 you have a ticket to one of those Freerolls Smiley Good luck!

Best regards.

Mmm what, my trust rating is not negative:

Trust:    0: -0 / +0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=381190

As you can see it's neutral. What you are looking at is untrusted feedback which is irrelevant, specially coming by a troll like that guy, which is always sending negative untrusted feedback to anyone that doesn't agree with him, this is why this guy has actual negative trust:

Trust:    -8: -3 / +0
Warning: Trade with extreme caution!

769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin 'real money' to you? on: December 28, 2015, 07:01:49 PM
why don you ask is dollar money to you ?

if they are no trust on the dollar or watever it just a paper .
if you're comparing with the dollar of course it will be different
the dollar has a very long history
the dollar is not an ordinary paper it will always be valuable

And maybe then the dollar would evolve and be sort of like Bitcoin in a digital form but backed up by the US Government. Or it could be the case that Bitcoin could become the world's reserve currency. Other than that, no matter if it is Bitcoin or the dollar, they would have no real value unless there is usability and backed up with something. But ues, Bitcoin can also be considered as real money. Just my opinion.  Cheesy

The future is cashless as has been pointed out before by a lot of people already that know how to look long term, and it will not be pretty.. it will be a controlled asset, so it cant be Bitcoin, unless we let them centralize its nodes.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: December 28, 2015, 07:00:24 PM
It's still a really step curve of learning how to get involved, and the fact that Bitcoin challenges teh notion of what money is is very mind blogging for the average person
771  Economy / Speculation / Re: 500$ This Dec ! on: December 25, 2015, 03:00:04 PM
6 days to go for a 45 dollar increase.. still doable, Bitcoin can raise 10 dollars a day, so im still believing it can be done, and I will until 31 dec. Even if we don't, it's 100% granted we will smash through 500 next year.
772  Economy / Economics / Re: How New World Order will implode on: December 25, 2015, 02:58:30 PM
I have been hoping for a dollar collapse for years but it seems like the thing can go on even after being dead like a zombie. As long as people accept the dollar worldwide, it will have value even if the hyperinflation is insane, so we'll see.
773  Economy / Economics / Re: Reuters:"2016 could prove to be the year that the price of bitcoin surges again" on: December 25, 2015, 02:55:01 PM
2016 is going to be the year of Bitcoin, I have no doubt at this point, and 2017 is going to be the year were the guys that didn't invest because they were in denial all the time enter in a deep depression after missing out.
774  Economy / Economics / Re: outside from bitcoin is network marketing profitable ? on: December 25, 2015, 02:50:13 PM
If you have the opportunity, do it and get the money and run, then invest the money you made on this in something more stable. Ponzis can be useful if you know when to get out.
775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many developers are working on bitcoin vs alt coins? on: December 25, 2015, 02:48:14 PM
Is there any way to track this? Anyone have any ideas?

Well it's easy as going into the official webpage and comparing the list of developers there vs other alts. Im pretty sure Bitcoin has the most developers involved on any coin.

776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arcade machine? on: December 25, 2015, 02:46:52 PM
I think that at some point Bitcoin arcade machines will be a massive niche, because kids of today will eventually get tired of playing alone on the computer.
777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Capacity increases for the Bitcoin system on: December 25, 2015, 02:44:30 PM
Capacity increases FAQ was posted a few hours ago:

https://bitcoin.org/en/bitcoin-core/capacity-increases-faq
Hopefully by April next year, in time for the halving, this matter is completely settled.
This matter has not been settled at all. Core has made its position rather clear, it is diverting from the original vision of Satoshi. If Core got its way they would block the stream of transactions in favor of off chain solutions. There is presently massive opposition to this move by Core and I suspect that we will see an industry or user led fork rectifying this situation soon.

This is a test of the governance mechanism within Bitcoin. Core should not decide on the future of Bitcoin for all of us. Bitcoin should not rely on a centralized authority in the form of Core to make decisions for us, the market or the economic majority should rule Bitcoin instead, this is best reflected through having multiple alternative implementations to choose from. Since an election with only one choice would be the equivalent to totalitarianism after all. Fortunately we do now have three alternative implementations which will increase the blocksize. BitcoinXT, Btcd and Bitcoin Unlimited.

Jeff Garzik recently wrote an article describing the dire situation we are in, I do at least have confidence that this situation will resolve itself because of the incentive structure of Bitcoin and the ability to hard fork which ensures the continued freedom of the protocol.

http://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2015-December/011973.html

Pretty sure centralized nodes run by datacenters, which is what BitcoinXT etc will deliver, wasn't part of the original Satoshi vision.
778  Economy / Speculation / Re: Unable to break $400 on: December 09, 2015, 11:27:41 PM
Bullish as hell after the scaling Bitcoin convention, a lot of cool new technology that will bring progress into the scaling problem which has been one of the big reasons Bitcoin price has been stagnant in the last months.
779  Economy / Speculation / Re: Foolproof plan: Sell above 400$, rebuy on holidays on: December 09, 2015, 11:19:37 PM
Historically, bitcoin's price goes down during Christmas celebratory season or after. The holiday is followed by new year's eve and Chinese new year on Feb 8 and celebrations. Play it safe, sell some of your coins now only to re-buy as the price goes down.

If I have learned something after looking at Bitcoin charts for years is that past performance doesn't guarantee future performance, therefore you are just risking that a past even t will repeat again which is not worth risking your coins for.
780  Economy / Speculation / Re: 400$ was the top on: December 09, 2015, 11:18:30 PM
It seems like a fail for OP? I just checked the prize and we are still around 420. Im pretty certain that we will end up the year above 400 dollars, way too many good news and exciting stuff surrounding Bitcoin right now to be bearish.
