81  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pattern trading cheat sheet. on: April 30, 2021, 12:53:58 PM
I don't think you can get everything in one source as even in books they don't have every pattern available. Some books even just talk about certain TAs like Ichimoku Cloud and Moving Averages. But if you want to know more about the patterns with description I recommend you reading a book like the Technical Analysis for the Financial Markets by John Murphy as it explains the most common patterns happening in a candle chart. With the example you have shown it fails to explain anything why this pattern will go up an down and for newbies they might assume that if a pattern is forming there is a 100% chance it will go in the way based on what they have seen from the pictures.
82  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Earning bitcoin = wages/tips? on: April 29, 2021, 09:10:53 PM
The question really is: "Can earning an asset (cows, gold bouillons, bananas, etc.) be wages/tips?"
or is receiving these assets only considered accepting a gift (which I think in the U.S., gifts can be ≤$10k, tax-free).

This isn't the case for Bitcoin though yes it is classified as an asset but it has a function of a currency that is why it is both subject to income and capital gains tax if you have earned it as a means of payment. You don't need to be confused about this one as the is no legal loophole through their definitions. If you want more proof here is a snippet regarding how you will treat crypto earnings in your report which mention what I have siad earlier which is taking its fair market value.

Virtual  currency

If  your  employer  gives  you virtual  currency  (such  as  Bitcoin)  as  payment for your services, you must include the FMV of the currency in your income.
83  Economy / Economics / Re: How a digital EURO may look like on: April 29, 2021, 07:11:17 PM
The problem really here is most of the people who are concerned about the privacy part of currencies is that they aren't really private at all even the ones who are already being used by them. From Paypal, bank wire transactions, and even down to remittance centers all of them are under FATF and AML rules and a lot of people who are concerned about privacy are using it already. They undergo some kind of KYC and verification process and maybe they aren't aware that their transactions are being monitored. The general rule is if there is a monetary transaction involve it will most likely be monitored by the authorities.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 29, 2021, 03:17:44 PM
Milan screwed up big time against Lazio and basing it on the "toughest" schedule Atalanta has a good chance of remaining in the 2nd spot as their last match can easily be beaten by their team. Napoli on the other hand will be facing Fiorentina in one of their matches while Juventus will both be facing the 2 Milan teams in their remaining schedule so Milan and Juventus is the one who will be fighting it out for the 3rd spot with Napoli. Atalanta did a good job of catching up with these big name teams 2 of which attempted to join the super league.
85  Economy / Speculation / Re: The total BTC balance on exchanges continuously decreasing since 2020 on: April 29, 2021, 02:16:48 PM
This has been brought in the past already but I can't say that people are doing what you say them to do so. Without any proof that what they have withdrawn is being stored in hardware wallets we cannot guarantee that that is what they are doing. You must match up sales from both Trezor and Ledger to see if it match up with your theory which would be a hard thing to do so as I don't think they have that data available publicly.
86  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hotbit exchange is Proven Scam on: April 28, 2021, 09:10:57 PM
Looks like you aren't the only one having problems with the Hotbit exchange as their subreddit page is filled with complaints about their exchange regarding their missing withdrawals as well as their accounts suddenly being frozen. Like you most of the users only receive auto-replies or no replies at all why they have sent several emails already. I guess it is safe to say that they are already planning an exit. Thank you for informing us and sorry for what happened to your project.

Since this is a very specific type of game I'm more concerned about if you will have users or not interested in an online version of UNO more particularly if money is involved. UNO is not your usual online betting game that online gamblers usually look and even card games such as poker is not that popular as compared to other games such as dice and black jack. If I were you I'll be more focus on knowing what my market is before I start developing the game any further do some surveys or see some interest if you have any supporters for the game.
88  Economy / Reputation / Re: The user "amonymous" stealing other's works (Plagiarism) on: April 28, 2021, 04:42:47 PM
suggestion:
However, neutral seems a good fit for such an account, but it's up to you to judge red, because it happens in your campaign.
Not now, perhaps in future turn it to neutral once he realize his mistakes and learn from the mistake.

IMO you can just stick the account with a permanent red tag as even though there is no plagiarism violation being written in your rules it is already implied on when you said that tweets needed should be "unique". He clearly wants to be paid for just copy/pasting the words of others which doesn't really take any effort to do so bottomline is he wants to be paid even though he didn't follow your rules correctly.

Didn't Twitter become a multi billion dollar company from people re-copying each other's useless short posts? It's one of the reasons I don't like the site.

I think all social media sites have a problem with regards to plagiarism not only through words but also pictures and videos where people take it and monetized from it or at least have likes likes and favorites for it. All social media websites are like this and they only take action on any copyright infringement and plagiarism issue is when someone reports it but they don't have any kind of screening process before the accounts can even upload the content.
89  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-04-28 - Nexon America buys $100,000,000 in Bitcoin on: April 28, 2021, 03:52:37 PM
There is a slight mistake in your headline @OP its not Nexon America (subsidiary) who bought the Bitcoin but the parent company itself which is Nexon Co. Limited. This is an important thing to correct since their places of business/operation is totally different where the one who bought the Bitcoin is outside of the US and is headquartered in Japan and South Korea. This is an important thing to point out since we are now seeing companies outside of the US still is buying their own pieces of Bitcoin.
90  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Scalping even viable in Cryptocurrencies? on: April 27, 2021, 07:00:20 PM
Scalping (for me) is just another term for day trading and its just that the only difference is scalping for traders is a much more shorter time frame as compared to day trading but for me honestly they are just the same. Asking if you can day trade/scalp in a market is also similar to asking if the market is volatile or not since volatility is key when it comes to taking profit on a shorter time frame. Almost everyone of us know that the crypto market is one of the most volatile markets out there so in short it is a perfect fit for short term traders like day traders and scalpers as they can literally make a profit for just waiting 1 minute or so.
91  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Earning bitcoin = wages/tips? on: April 27, 2021, 05:53:47 PM
Are you actually unemployed though? And are where do you basically earn your Bitcoin at? If you are getting paid in Bitcoin in exchange for the services you have rendered I don't think you qualify as an unemployed individual but rather a self-employed one as you are earning Bitcoin through your services. But with regards to your question I think it is best if you seek advice from a lawyer as we might have different interpretations of the law and he can help you better with your position. Because if I were to guess even if they have stated the value on US$ you can just actually convert your Bitcoin to its current market value in USD so this won't be a problem to you.
92  Economy / Economics / Re: Using Blockchain to run economies on: April 27, 2021, 03:41:28 PM
I wish that it is simple like how you explained it but in reality the fisherman will be factoring in the price, supply, and demand for its fish as well as the biker who will deliver the goods other than that they also need to consider the competition for the same resource without someone enforcing or overseeing this kind of application towards the blockchain I don't think that it will be an effective solution for the economy as there is a lot of holes to be covered before it can be fully operational.
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 25, 2021, 03:50:51 PM
It was very sad to see Juventus playing today: the players looked like they got hit psychologically by everything that is happening around them. On the bright side, Alvaro Morata scored a marvelous goal, watch it if you can.
Inter, instead, is continuing winning and Scudetto is very close now.

Too bad to see them have a draw but they were lucky to escape a defeat by drawing an equalizer, that penalty for Fiorentina during the first half was the one who made the difference for the match. With regards to Juventus being on top I don't think they have a chance at all as well as Milan, the most realistic race right now is for the top 2-4 to battle it out for the 2nd and 3rd place where Napoli and Atalanta are also not far behind for both Juventus and AC Milan this will be an exciting 5 remaining weeks to see who will make the cut.
94  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell your Bitcoins or die - Bitcoin to $5000 soon - Fiat is best alternative on: April 25, 2021, 03:10:25 PM
Says by the guy who attempted to create his own shitcoin

I don't know your true intentions here but you just woke up recently since your last promotion of your shitcoin where you claim that your "biggest investor" is Zuckerberg and Buffet but knowing that this is a completely false statement I don't think people would be believing statements from a liar. Fiat IMO is good but for liquid purposes only and it doesn't go near as the growth potential cryptocurrencies have so its just really your choice to move on fiat if you want to suffer devaluation of your capital through inflation.
95  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Thodex: Turkish Crypto Exchange Owner Runs Off After Stealing $2 Billion on: April 25, 2021, 02:30:39 PM
We still don't have the complete story here as we are seeing different stories coming from different sources. Some news sources pointed out that out of the 391,000 users Thodex has only around 30,000 of its users are affected by it and some reports are saying that Thodex itself has all of its bank accounts frozen as ordered by the authorities. I'm guessing that the Turkish users have a better chance of recovering all of their money as compared to what happened with Gerald Cotten and his QuadrigaCX where he took all of their money down to his grave.
96  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto traffic on: April 25, 2021, 01:02:08 PM
Are you looking for those paid traffic services that will temporarily increased the traffic of your website? I don't think it will be worth it one thing I learn from increasing of traffic for websites is that the best traffic is the natural one or the one coming from search results in search engines. You must just make your website and its pages accessible for those search engines and must know about SEO so that you will be placed on the first page of Google's search result. After that traffic will come naturally for your website and I think this is better compared to some services where it will just increase your traffic temporarily.
97  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now officially on sale buy the dip and hodl on: April 25, 2021, 11:48:31 AM
~snip

The problem is that threads like this do not have any consquence to the creators.

Bitcoin's coin has had a good rise in price since October. Yet there have been many threads that say bear bear bear.

I say buy the dip while you can and Hold Hodl Hodl

I'm not here to shame the creator of the post but merely just educate him or at least give him my personal opinion about Bitcoin being in the bear market as we all have different analysis after all. Right now I am saying that we aren't still in a bear market as we aren't clearly on a downtrend but rather on a higher level of consolidation where Bitcoin can go up and own 5-$10,000 and still you wouldn't see any reversal not unless it has broken a support in a continuous manner.
98  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-04-23]South Korea’s Top Financial Regulator Suggests All Crypto Exchanges on: April 24, 2021, 10:21:51 PM
Even their own government is worried about how many of their citizens are into the crypto industry not because of the AML issue but because of its speculative in nature which I think for something that affects the economy will really make any government to worry about. With their department head speaking like that on how their crypto exchanges will be shutdown it is obviously a threat or a wake up call for crypto exchanges to fill in the requirements which is tying up with a commercial bank as only the big 4 crypto exchanges in South Korea have complied so far. There is really no issue at all but they are just waiting for this exchanges to comply with the new regulations they have.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Carbon Footprint on: April 24, 2021, 08:32:53 PM
TBH there is not a lot of industries that don't contribute a lot of carbon emission in our world from plane rides, manufacturing plants/factories, and even agriculture produces a lot of carbon emission and what they are saying about Bitcoin is an attempt to single them out when in fact they aren't even the biggest contributors for the carbon emissions. They might have hidden agendas by doing so and I think siding with them is something that will just make Bitcoin look bad. Year by year mining hardware companies are always trying to produce the most efficient hardware and also mining farms as well are trying to figure out how to lessen their biggest cost which is their electrical consumption and they always have the option to switch to renewable energy.
100  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now officially in Bear-Market: -20% down - Dropping like a Rock on: April 24, 2021, 06:46:51 PM
People saying that Bitcoin is on a bear market:

People saying that Bitcoin is still on the bull market:

The first picture is what a lot of people are saying about Bitcoin is "finally" in the bear market but what they are looking at now is an hourly chart for Bitcoin which means that what you are seeing right now is just the small movements of Bitcoin from a short period of time. The second picture is the daily chart of Bitcoin in which you will see that Bitcoin is still on an upward trend. The hourly chart of course is something that can't determine if an asset is either bullish or on a bearish market cycle as it is just showing you a smaller trend compared to what the longer time frames is showing you. 20% drop is really meaningless as even in the stock market there are stocks in which moves by 20% but it doesn't mean it is going bullish nor bearish.
