801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This Is How To Kill XT… on: August 23, 2015, 05:17:52 PM
I see your point. Most people that are pushing for XT are clueless and hey only see the blocksize selling point for XT, without all the downsides. So a bit of a raise in Core should come soon to keep those guys happy.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLE OR INVEST? on: August 23, 2015, 05:14:22 PM
A good question maybe where do we invest?
If we plan to invest on those 200% rewards in 24 hours or double your bitcoins sites, then its like gambling as well.

There aren't many places to invest in the Bitocin ecosystem that don't feel like a huge gamble. Personally im only holding some maidsafe and monero because i cant trust anything else long term ish.
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: August 23, 2015, 04:52:59 PM
i use signature campaign only,
cause this is a way to get very fast get many bitcoins..

LOL. But you don't wearing any signature from campaigns so how come you are getting paid for it. Maybe you forgot to post it in your main account or alts hehe.

I guess he using a fake account trying to bump his status into something respectable like Full member. And even if you are a Hero Member is not "easy to make many bitcoins" unless you post a lot, like a fulltime job.
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: August 23, 2015, 04:51:36 PM
My biggest problem with bitcoin is that the bitcoin core software is good but downloading the block chain is a very hefty task.
Isn't there any way that we can use Bitcoin qt but not download block chain.
I know there are many wallets out there but still none is comparable to the original.

In the next version I think prunning method will be availible which means we will be able to use our beloved Core original wallet while not having to download the entire blockchain, only about 1GB and 1GB of past transactions should be solid and safe enough against any attacks.
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Consensus Decision Making is what bitcoin needed on: August 23, 2015, 04:20:19 PM
I agree with consensus being what we need, but 75% is not enough for a hard fork, we would need more, also, they don't tell all the shitty stuff XT does, they only talk about the 8MB blocksize increase (which we don't need that much now, BTC is still a niche used software).
806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The vote that counts: Miners and Mike's worst case scenario on: August 23, 2015, 04:18:30 PM
I don't understand all the details but the big picture was (if i got it right) that it doesn't matter unless they hit 75% of consensus, until then Bitcoin Core is still the real Bitcoin. I hope it never happens, XT just sucks.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why would a Core/XT Hard Fork be bad if both live on? on: August 22, 2015, 08:56:00 PM
It's impossible for both to live on because one of the nodes is ultimately useless unless its having an impact on the blockchain. I just hope the XT thing is over soon so we can focus on making bitcoin better.
808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLE OR INVEST? on: August 22, 2015, 08:07:58 PM
Investing is gambling. By investing you are BETTING that you'll get a great result off your investment, this requires basically faith, hence its gambling. Of course, you should have better odds than pure raw luck of actual gambling.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's over. Whew! on: August 22, 2015, 08:00:56 PM
But still there are XT supporters try hard to promote Bitcoin XT. The war continues till January, 2016.

My opinion is we need to support Bitcoin Core - and any changes can made to Bitcoin Core only.

So what will happen after 2016? they will magically stop caring? I don't understand why 2016 is a deadline, they may keep pushing their agenda forever.
810  Economy / Speculation / Re: Down to 150 today, i will sue them all on: August 20, 2015, 12:17:34 PM
The people posting FUD here aren't doing shit to the price. Anyway, im not sure if im posting in a troll thread so I wouldn't comment munch on this beyond the usual: keep holding through the storm and you'll end successful.
811  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's get back to chart watching... on: August 20, 2015, 12:15:49 PM
Im ok with it. Every month with a 200ish BTC is another month where I can at least make 1 BTC minimum, so time to keep stacking guys, history will compensate us with tons of purchasing power. We Are Right.
812  Economy / Speculation / Re: Accumulation Phase on: August 20, 2015, 12:10:22 PM
Once the XT drama is over and we're approaching the halving, no one has ANY excuse to whine about not getting a chance to buy enough coins. We've been in the 200's for almost a year. You can only blame yourself if you aren't and/or haven't been accumulating all year.

Also, to the panickers and people spreading fud, look at bitcoinrichlist.com. Do you see any of these big dawgs selling? No. I rest my case. There's a winner and a loser in every game. Once you sell you've lost.

I would give up trying to wary people on the fact we are on the unique opportunity to buy cheap as hell Bitcoin once again for a very long time. If you haven't been hustling BTC during all of this year an continue to do so as long as buying 1 BTC monthly is a possibility, I really really dont know what you are doing with your life.
813  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: August 20, 2015, 12:09:03 PM
It's really not this easy. I like how you've suggested a financial plan, but someone who makes almost 8 bucks an hour can not afford multiple things on top of their daily bills. It's easy to make a financial plan if you make enough money to where you don't have your monthly budgets interfering with each other. For example, medical emergencies. At that type of salary, you're essentially one accident away from any financial savings for anything collapsing. Your car savings, or your house savings, can all be destroyed with the medical side of your life taking over it due to an insufficient "medical fund". Saving money is something everyone would love to do, but when you don't have a decent salary, it's next to impossible.
Sir, all things are possible 8 bucks per hour? It is enough for a normal person . And you said that all of your savings will be destroyed by pne accident? No . Do you really read this thread? That your savings must 20% of your monthly salary? And its use in 2 different ways? First the 10% is for emergencies,  so you cant spent the other 10% wich must spend in your personal interest like business, investment, and etc. So how possible you can't save? If you do this strategies you can save every month. And like i said theres a choices , save or not so choose.

So there are a couple things to pay attention to.  One is income generation and the other is under-consumption (saving).  It would make sense for effort to be put into income generation primarily, and then towards savings.

If someone is making 8 bucks an hour and living in North America, then the effort needs to go into generating more income.  That wage is for unskilled labour, so it would make sense to gain a skillset that pays more.  Don't fall into the trap of doing unskilled labour for life.  That type of job should be a steppingstone to something else.  If you are going to learn a trade, get a formal education, or learn a skillset that you can apply on your own, it will allow you to get out of that trap of labour/retail type jobs.

8 bucks an hour will just cover the absolutely essential monthly expenses.  It makes sense if you're young and working part-time while living at home with parents, but don't make a career out of a job like that.

This was the point I was attempting to make. Relying on minimum wage is totally unreliable and almost impossible in certain areas. If you live in Los Angeles California, or NYC, you're looking at a extremely high cost of living compared to somewhere in Nebraska, for example. Therefore, saving money can only happen if you have a certain skill set to which you are compensated for above minimum wage work, also known as, a college degree. Hell, even a liberal arts degree.

something which really bothers me with minimum wage is that people criticize those people on minimum wage calling them burger flippers and ask them to develop skills, etc but actually I respect those people because they fought the system and got 15$ an hour, while the CEO and the company makes thousands of dollars every hour. This 'system' wants us to fight with each other about what's our worth and what we deserve, while they make millions.

How is flipping burgers for minimum wage fighting the system? Fighting the system is changing the system, you aren't changing anything by flipping burgers, you are making the CEO of the burger shop richer thats all.
814  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin XT on: August 20, 2015, 12:07:19 PM
Only if the XT nodes go 75% the fork will happen and there will be effectively 2 different coins "core coin" and "xt coin". Of course by then the other coin would be worthless so no chance to trade them.
I hope Core wins, XT sounds like a disgrance to BTC.
815  Economy / Economics / Re: This is how 0.037 Bitcoins looks like in Venezuela on: August 20, 2015, 12:06:05 PM
If the conditions persists to be stagnant , i will move to Venezuela or Zimbabwe or Argentina.
I had embraced BTC over 2 years back and i have some sufficient amount.
Please keep updating this thread as it invokes light in me.

If u want to move to a cheap country and live like a king, you should go to Philippines, its fun and girls are hot, 40 peso or 1$ and u can eat all rice u want on a restaurant, and u can live with less than 1000$ a month, retirement visa for over 35 years old its only 10.000 and u can use that money to buy real estate.

I been there a few times, and I'm planning to move there soon.

But Venezuela its unsafe, I will not thinking going there soon, people its so desperate for food, if u go with a few dollars or you live better than the locals you will be a target for crime.

All those countries sound good on paper but I don't think anyone would like to live over there coming from a first world country. What's the point of living in a cheap place if the place feels like you might get robed anytime soon and you know no one.
816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions of core dev on the change! on: August 20, 2015, 12:04:12 PM
Well, obviously you can add Greg Maxwell and the rest of the devs as Core proposers lol. Im pretty certain Nick is also supportive of Core. Actually few people are supporting core beside Gavin and Hearn themselves.
817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? on: August 20, 2015, 11:54:17 AM
I came here because i want to know what bitcoin client suites me for cold storage on mobile,  any suggestion?

Cold storage on mobile? So you'll have a mobile phone that isn't connected to the internet in any way to store your coins... Why not go for a hardware wallet or a paper wallet then?

This is a terrible idea. Cold storage should only be done on non electronic device, basically a BIP38 wallet printed on a paper covered in plastic so it stays the test of time for hundreds of years if needed.
818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why i will support bigger blocks - and you should too on: August 20, 2015, 11:53:21 AM
Oh, I will support bigger blocks all right. But I won't support Bitcoin XT. The risk of Bitcoin getting split into Core and XT is devastating.

The guys not only are puttin dodgy code that will kill privacy (the Tor blacklist is just a work of evil) the thing is, 75% is shit nothing when it comes to a hard fork, it should have been 90% minimum.
819  Economy / Digital goods / Re: For the Next 48 Hours I'm Giving Away My Bitcoin Book for $1 on: August 20, 2015, 11:51:34 AM
How can we know what we are getting? In physical libraries you can open the book and see what you are getting, with digital books you never know.
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cut out the middlemen on: August 20, 2015, 11:45:03 AM
Easier said than done. Also, if everyone did this, you wouldn't be able to run a business unless you did absolutely 100% of the work yourself (unrealistic).
