http://bittleships.in/ is redirecting elsewhere, hasn't shown the bittleships game for at least a few weeks now.

Striking out, thanks for letting me know.

Thanks for the list, mem.

No problems Cheesy

Hi mem, we have added another game: Clone Dice.

It is a game inspired by fireducks satoshidice but with several adjustments.
Progressive Jackpots
Numbers are 1-100 not 0-65535 (easier for the user to calculate).
A cool retro 1995 styled web page Tongue

I have noticed, Maybe you have done work since I last checked but your clone dice website is much nicer on the eyes than the other 2, though SD will be launching a new page soon as well I understand. Good to see you responded to criticism well.

edit: formatted list some more, it was getting to big to just have 1 table.

Poor mem... when I last had words with him, it came to light he was declared legally (in Australia anyway) mentally handicapped, so I apologized to him and told him I wouldn't engage with him anymore.  As much as I'd like to respond to him, I won't pick on the mentally challenged, no matter how deluded they are.  His nurse or whatever takes care of him once a week, I think it was, really needs to take away his internet privileges though.

This is the sad state of our community, this is a supposed representative of a company holding onto a significant amount of presales money.
Still it was refreshing to see such a short reply from Inaba............, you feeling ok buddy ?
803  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Announcement] Butterfly Labs on: September 30, 2012, 03:52:07 PM
I encourage every concerned USA citizen to log a query with Sonnys parole officer
Can you explain why you want people to do this? Even on parole, a person has to have a job. In order to make enough money to paid it's employees, the company(that said person on parole works for) has to sell something. He works for a company that sells stuff, and you want me to report this (company's) sale of goods to his(the employee's) parole officer? Why?

To be very clear this is not a witch hunt, this is simply someone picking up the damn phone and getting answers after seeing all other avenues exhausted.
I have grave concerns about BFL despite not being a customer, so to alleviate these concerns I shall follow up them up with the neccesary goverment agencies that deal with these things.

I hope this can provide a conclusion to the the questions, it is most likely that I will simply get to log my concern etc (if at all possible as a non US citizen) with the deparments that handle fraud investigations and what ever consumer protection agencies America - I expect it to be an interesting learning exercise if nothing else.

As a community we have beaten this drama up for far to long when (just like with pirate) before seeking the correct assistance from the government bodies that are there to assist and protect us as consumers and as a community.

I shall report back all / any information I recieve and am legally allowed to share here, even if it is a boring but relieving "Nothing of interest or note regarding BFL and its employees activites".
804  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Announcement] Butterfly Labs on: September 30, 2012, 06:03:11 AM
Hi Guys,
As you all know I loathe BFL.

I think Inaba is the worst example of the bitcoin community we could currenty find and  the trust placed in a morally bankrupt convicted con (Sonny) is simply staggering. I am an AU citizen so I am unsure how far I can get doing this internationally but I will be contacting the USA police and requesting to speak / have contact with Sonny's Probation officer to follow up on queries and conerns  raised in these forums.

I shall also log all concerns I have with the USA's version of Office of Fair Trading.

As Sonny seems content to insist that stealing 26 Million USD from senior citizens is just an innocent misunderstanding where the big bad American and Italian governments decided to arbritiarilly pick on a single company because they were bored and felt like being big meanies. His words and everything said on his behalf I discount as pure grade A bullshit delivered by a known con & convict who is still playing the con.

So several phones calls later I shall update/ start a new thread with each complaint and query logged against BFL.
If nothing comes of it, nothing does but at least we will know that the proper authorities are aware and keeping an eye on things.
I have previous experience with decepitve / out right lying companies - I am one of several responsible for seeing dodo.com.au issued with the 2 highest fines ever in Australian Telco history (0.25 mil and 0.38 mil) for lying to clients, misleading advertising and generally being a 'BFL'.

I encourage every concerned USA citizen to log a query with Sonnys parole officer and again with your office of fair trading regarding BFL trading practices.
You have a right to the information Sonny and Inaba so desperately tried to hide, lets get it.

To clarify, if at the end of my inquiries I turn up nothing further I still rate BFL is a despicable company - a text book example of how to everything wrong and be absolute cunts to your clients until you desperately need to do damage control (Sonny's history coming to light).

If you are lucky boys and girls Sonny will appear to show how a con artist spins even the worst facts to his favour and if you are even luckier Inaba will turn up for 1 of his famous and logically flawed attempts at defense+attack+reason+rant+wtf is wrong with Inaba seriously.

Popcorn ready ?
805  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] BTCDice.com - The Best Bitcoin Game in the World! - Better Payouts on: September 27, 2012, 05:13:58 PM
Competition is the nature of free market.

This at least I agree with Smiley
806  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Clone Dice - A Blatant and Unashamed Clone of Satoshidice ;) on: September 27, 2012, 06:21:30 AM

yawn

Man... if you're going to rip off my site, at least make a better looking one. Yours is an uglier version with a chat window and no ability to bet over 1btc   Cry

Gee it would be nice to see some friendly competition instead of this kind of negativity
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin or Bitcoin? How will a big company (or a rich dude) invest on: September 26, 2012, 03:38:15 AM
You forgot the 2  most popular options to get a fuckton of cryptocurrency:

Run a HYIP with returns of 7% interest per week.
or
Sell pre-orders for non-existent products.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: September 26, 2012, 03:31:52 AM
so the last commit to the litecoin project was 2 months ago?
is there any development todo? or is it "stable" ?

I hope there is still work being done on it.  I still have to re-install the client every time I reboot my PC because it crashes when it starts otherwise.  Windows 7 x64.
It contains a lot of bitcoin 0.7.0 - and that only got released for BTC recently ...
Github timestamps are wrong?
To rephase what I said: A lot of the current BTC 0.7.0 code is in litecoind already - since the current BTC 0.7.0 code has been around for a while already.
That makes sense.
I am just hoping there'll be more developers working on this.....

Indeed, all thats required is to merge the litecoin mods into the main bitcoind tree when they update the features.
809  Economy / Gambling / Re: mem's BITCOIN GAMBLING LIST on: September 25, 2012, 05:06:25 PM
Happy to announce that btc dice multipliers are now displayed in a fashion that gamblers are used to.

BTCDice issue resolved, I have noted this in its current listing and will bump it back into the main listing shortly (late night for me Wink )

Id also like to welcome another site to the list: https://dvc-lotto.com/ , site admin is a forum member Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=41776

I shall create a pending listing for this new game shortly, will fire off a few bets/entries tonight for a test.

New category added MISLEADING

relevant to btcdice: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=92829.msg1219373#msg1219373

Not relevant to BTCDice. I explain this to you quite clear. You are slandering me and my site for no reason.

the reasons have been explained to you repeatedly and quite clearly by myself and several other forum members.
I wont waste further energy on this, but please consider the following.

You achieve only 2 things advertising your payout multiplier in the fashion you do.

  • Decieving new players who have not read the 'fine print' on your site.
  • Poor first impression with all clients when they wonder why their 50% payout was not actually 50%.

Good luck and I hope you find enlightenment elsewhere as I cannot give it to you.

812  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] BTCDice.com - The Best Bitcoin Game in the World! - Better Payouts on: September 25, 2012, 12:53:16 PM
My payout is proper. Only thing not matching to what dooglus said is displayed multiplier (which shows prior to house percent). I updated how it works page to reflect that.

Place a bet, do the math, it is correct.

Anyone who says not correct is not able to do math.

I not run a scam, and it slander for you to say I do.

You show a multiplier of 2x payout multiplier and Odds of 50% where in fact it is not.
You say people do not understand maths, I say your grasp of the English language and gambling terms is insufficient.
What you advertise as a "payout multiplier" is not a "payout multiplier".

No casino or game advertises odds and payouts in this manner, for the obvious reason it will confuse the player to the houses advantage.

It is misleading, intentionally or not. What is very clear is that you claim it is a preference and yet I do not see any players requesting payouts to be displayed as such, in fact I cannot envision any scenario where a player would want payouts displayed in such a confusing manner.

If you correct your payouts at a later date, please let me know so I can review and re-add you to the list.

Perhaps SCAM is a to hash label for this issue, I have been considering adding the new category MISLEADING for games in the SCAM/ PENDING list.
Your site is the first to have sufficiently confusing payouts (while still paying out clients) to warrant this..... Well done I guess.
813  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keyboard with [btc] symbol on: September 25, 2012, 08:25:35 AM
Can't someone market a keyboard with a BTC on the 6 key? (4 or 5 might also be available in the future).

That would be a powerful message to send and get a lot of geek news attention.

^ is used to much (ie regular expressions).
but you could create a custom KB mapping that had  the thai Baht symbol for SHIFT+6

The more I learn about Bitcoin, the more I am impressed with its genius. This is an amazing system: transparent and verifiable, yet anonymous to a large degree if so wanted; pretty much cheat-proof; mathematically sound...I could go on but I'm pretty tired.

This presents some challenges for me, but I think I can still do what I need to do by invoking some programming kung-fu. We'll see. I love a good puzzle/challenge.

Thanks to all for their input  Smiley

All the info you need is on the wiki, study this page:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction

If anyone is interested I can sell my coinflip.pl code I wrote several months ago Wink pm me offers.
It does senders address look up ala SD style.
816  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Size of BTC blockchain centuries from now... on: September 25, 2012, 07:20:34 AM
Right now, there is a hard-coded limit of 1 megabyte per block.

If we assume that limit never changes, that gives:
 1MB per block * 6 blocks per hour * 24*365.25*200 = 10,519,200 MB

... or 10.5 terabytes for the maximum size of the entire blockchain over the next 200 years (somebody check my math, I'm really good at dropping zeroes).

I expect that in 200 years 10 terabytes of storage will cost a few pennies.

Now whether or not that 1 megabyte per block limit should go away is hotly debated, and will be debated more and more as transaction volume increases.

Nice info, thanks Gavin  Smiley
817  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think that there is something funny about BFL's new ASIC on: September 25, 2012, 06:13:03 AM
  • No certain delivery dates.

yeah, they fucked this up last time so they are reluctant to make promises this time and blow it again

Despite what Inaba, apologists and Bull Fecces Lovers claim, they only updated their delivery times after 3+ months extreme pressure from the community. They only changed  their claimed delivery dates when it looked like they were about to be reported for fraudulent business practices - NO OTHER REASON.

Quote
  • No pictures or schemes or anything.

they are literally sitting on a gold mine, that IP is going to be very closely guarded

Photos will not reveal anything about an ASIC's IP.

Quote
  • Very limited information (actually there is no information on the ASICs).

see above

<SARCASM>yes because you can obviously reverse engineer an ASIC from a photo of its box.</SARCASM>

Quote
  • No one answers their phone.

see their FAQ

See the most recent steaming pile of bullshit delivered by Inaba/ BFL_Josh/ Sonny.

Quote
  • They answer your e-mail within 2-3 weeks.

they answered my last email the next day

And yet the forums have countless records of the contrary.
Any client daring to question where the order is can expect a scathing attack from the forums man-child and BFL shill Inaba.

Quote
  • All their answers are with a maybe or possibly.

see the first point

All your points lack substance, please stop with the "Im a fool and trust them, why wont you be a fool with me".

Quote
  • I never got it why are BITCOIN payments preferred.

duh, they want to promote bitcoin

DUH - Paypal would freeze  their account instantly, especially given Sonny's previous convictions.
They are selling a product that does not exist and their idea of reassuring clients is having that ass-hat Inaba attack and ridicule them on a public forum.

Quote
  • The broke the law of e-bay - 2 months to appeal and ask for a refund with their 2 to 4 to 6 months delivery - maybe.

??

??

Quote
  • They are a business registered in Massachusetts on the name of some Mexican woman.

because no Hispanic people live in Massachusetts

Just ask Sonny why he did the same when he was running his mail fraud scam.

Quote
  • They are playing with millions yet their website is made with WordPress.

and?

Exactly, why wouldnt you trust a convicted con artist with millions of dollars - he certainly proved he couldnt be trusted the first time.
Why not let a convicted pedophile babysit your kids while you are at it.

Quote
  • Up to today no one has either seen, touched or heard their ASICs. (even remotely)

see point 2

because they have yet to:

A) Have one successful build.
B) Have one that is able to work with the bitcoin network
C) They require water cooling so they do not catch fire.
D) Have one that does not catch fire after running for 12h.
818  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you get the SENDING address with PHP? on: September 25, 2012, 05:45:45 AM
What you're saying makes a lot of sense and explains why I couldn't locate an easy answer. So, how do places like BitLotto operate? From what I can tell, a person sends Bitlotto a BitLotto-generated address for a particular draw. If the person wins, how would BitLotto know who to pay? BitLotto (and other online transaction sites) must have some way of knowing the source of funds.

Its not hard, its just not easy.
Some devs loathe Satoshidice and wrongly call it blockchain spam (as if increased use is a bad thing).
So there is a fair bit of misinformation and obfuscation of how to achieve this.

Writing a gambling site hey ? Smiley
We are seeing more and more of these instant payout games.

Satoshidice being the most popular currently (uses ABE i suspect).
SatoshiRoulette did a clean room implementation (apparently) of satoshidices payment system.
FlipBitcoin - Same system.
BitcoinLotto Same system (may still use ABE).
BTCDice is another but I cannot endorse them currently.

Im not sure if they would help the competition but it would not hurt dropping them an email Wink

I believe SD and Bitcoinlotto previously used a local copy of ABE, but as you can now achieve the same using api calls Id expect they would drop the heavy ABE in favor of much lighter API calls.

I am obviously biased on this topic, but here is my stance regardless:

  • If increased commerce is a bad thing, bitcoin has already failed.
  • If bitcoin cannot scale, it has already failed.
  • Any team that releases a code base to the public domain then starts making demands of the public on how it is used will be universally ignored.
  • The very nature of bitcoin means there is no central control, so dont listen to some negative people who dont like your service - they would never use it anyway. This is the greatest feature of bitcoin, outspoken individuals have very little power. Whats best for the network is decided by the network

I can prove it. What is the best way to prove it?

Again, min bet is 10 BTC. If I am lying you win 30 BTC, if I am telling the truth you pay me 10 BTC. Put your money where your mouth is, you are talking to the oldest miner here so have some fucking respect.

Miner Maria.

That isn't how it works. You can't make some obnoxious claim, and then not prove it unless you can turn a profit.

If that were the case, I am Satoshi. If you don't believe me, I'll provide proof for 10000BTC

Hey it works  fine for Matthew N Wright, Inaba and BFL - seems to be how these forums measure a persons credibility.

i bet for 2 BTC you're a dude.

With that picture as a profile picture Im almost certain, 90% likely a single dude as well.

and Psy, still an abusive idiot I see (LOL).

I can prove it. What is the best way to prove it?

If you have to ask I call bulshit.
Which pool did you use to mine back in '09? Slush por Deepbit? Roll Eyes

back then, we did not have any pools.

No shit, Sherlock... Roll Eyes

Psy, doesnt let being blatantly wrong stop him from insulting others for being right.
820  Economy / Gambling / Re: mem's BITCOIN GAMBLING LIST on: September 25, 2012, 05:06:26 AM
BTCDice now marked as a scam.

If you're going to define SCAM as "No payouts and the admins do not respond to contact attempts" then the label of scam is inaccurate in this case.  They do pay, they just don't pay what most reasonable users would expect them to pay after reading their front page.

Dont read to much into it, a scam is a scam is a scam.
Description updated for clarity though.
