8121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] – The Profit Network on: October 05, 2014, 07:42:20 PM
Hi,

I'm probably the last to get my coins, something weird is happening I looked at the block explorer and my 2 addresses show I "received the coins" but they are not in my wallet. Please note I've been synced now for 10 minutes does it take more time since the network is new to actually have them show in my wallet? Here are my addresses and the block explorer.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/arch/address.dws?AUjasS93VXxVm3K4VJ43aiQo9R1WhCmuLH.htm

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/arch/address.dws?AHfSiTG53nDcAeJ8Gst1T6XMiA3kGZJij3.htm

Any help (i'm sure it's probably a waiting thing) will be appreciated.

Edit: Seeing how the market is looking, I guess I need to thank Architect for pulling off (finally in a sea of shit ICO's) a great coin/project.

Ok it's not a waiting thing, I just sent 2500 Arch from bittrex to my wallet they arrived in 1 minute. Now I'm worried, how could my ico coins appear sent in the block explorer to my addresses but not be showing??

I would delete everything in the wallet data folder %Appdata%\Archcoin EXCEPT wallet.dat and launch the wallet again to resync?

If you have deleted all the folder ( and also the wallet.dat) I think you have lost all "your" coin.

8127  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: October 05, 2014, 04:47:20 PM
I am assuming that the wall is caused by one entity. Such entities capable of selling BTC30,000 exists, but they are few in number. I would put the figure at 30 potential sellers.

The number goes much lower if we consider the risks involved in selling so many coins in Bitstamp.

It is hardly a forced sale, because it is unlikely that such a position would have been financed by debt such that it must now be sold at a loss, and if this were the case, a wall would likely not be the way to realize the value.

It is hardly a panic sale, because the people with 30,000 are not prone to panic selling. If they were, they would have had ample opportunities to show their panicky nature in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. (And people buying in 2014 who are prone to panic, never had the $20-$30 million needed to begin with - panicky people cannot amass so much money).

I can only conclude that it is a scare wall, intended to bring the price down for accumulation. It is used during weekend when no new money is coming, mitigating the risk for an outright buy. In case of nibble, it can be safely pulled.

By the way, I have a castle for sale for bitcoins. Serious inquiries to PM please Smiley

The wall was gone , don't worry Wink.

Exchange operator or insider.

Noone trusts anyone with 30k coins in this environment.

8133  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: October 05, 2014, 03:26:38 PM
most likely? lol

Everyone knows they are scam, even those that are in the campaign. The question is how long until they disappear with all money and when will they stop to pay the signature.

Sadly most people won't care as long as they get paid, which they may initially but wont eventually, much like the site they're advertising for.

Yes , we cannot obligate an user to not endorse a signature .. I think everyone is free to put his signature.

8135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] – The Profit Network on: October 05, 2014, 02:25:59 PM
The problem here is distribution... if it's 100% PoS to start, as soon as he tries to move the coins from block 1, they lose their age and have to mature 24 hours before being eligable to stake and move the blockchain on.

So it looks like PoW is in there, and coin subsidy is 1 coin. It also looks like block 1 had 100 less coins than presale, possibly a mistake, but BTCA's screenshot shows the full amount. Either way by the end of 24 hours, if people continue to mine it to push the blockchain on there will be around 3000 coins more than presale. Negligible in reality once staking starts producing coins. But it seems getting block 1 correct and making the PoW subsidy zero would have been better.

If you don't to do the PoS mining , you can always send your arch to an exchange ( bittrex or bter Wink ).
8136  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying $9 Worth of Bitcoin for $15 Paypal, $15 Amazon, or $25 GC on: October 05, 2014, 02:12:52 PM
I know already that Paypal is not secure. I'm just accepting Paypal in case anybody wants to take a chance.

If no traders want to take a chance with Paypal, I can pay with Amazon. Aditionally, I can pay with Litecoin. $15 worth of Litecoins for $9 Bitcoin.

Ok , if you want  I can sell you $9 of bitcoin ... I will send you a PM with the ltc address Wink

Sorry if I'm asking a repeated question - when do the markets open (e.g. Bittrex)?  Thanks in advance.

Quote

Thanks - I saw that.  But I guess I was looking for an exact time.  As in - the markets open at XXXX UTC.  I guess I'll just go off of 24 hours after that tweet (not that I'm selling; I just want to watch the market reaction).

The tweet was wrote at : 21:40 - 4 ott 2014  so I think today at 21.40 PM or ( I'm not sure) in the late evening.
8138  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: the end is near on: October 05, 2014, 01:47:00 PM
few big miners destroying bitcoin mining. + bitcoin price +the whole concept. 3 weeks and the bitcoin price is 100-200

Still better than $2, the price when I started mining. People panic too easily.
irreparable trust damage for many investors.

no small bitcoin mining operations, only big chinesefarms

If you cannot mining it , you can always buy it Wink . Don't worry guys  now we will see "What is the real value of bitcoin" .

I don't know , I've only read that it is a 100% Proof of stake  coin ( as it  is write in the OP).

Sorry if I'm asking a repeated question - when do the markets open (e.g. Bittrex)?  Thanks in advance.
