New Android wallet is awesome! it's very fast. I also like that you can choose USD and other currencies to value your Gulden against. Thank you for this wonderful wallet! I like that it brings up a pin you must enter and phrase to copy when you first login or you forget to secure and backup your wallet. Installed on 3 devices. No problems, sync was lightning quick on all 3. Progress bar is helpful , no other android wallet has this. Good selections of currencies and transactions notified instantly. Perfect wallet and good work! Much better wallet, is it safe to transfer from old to new wallet? Yes, just send all your coins from old wallet to address of new wallet, and then once the transfer is safely processed you can remove the old wallet. Not with private key? Doing a transfer is much easier from old to new wallet. |

In some cases a large financial incentive to do so. While we are inspired by the confidence in our development team we want it to be known that our focus is 110% on Gulden and we are unable to accommodate any requests that do not involve the Gulden project. Very excited to finally have the first version of the new Android wallet out in the wild, slowly but surely we are getting all of our foundations in place on which to build.
With the basics of Android/iOS and the desktop now in place and at adequate code quality we are well positioned to start really pushing new features going forward without old/rusty/broken code getting in the way.
Just a reminder to all to please remember to rate the app on the store after you have tried it out, ratings are important.

We have been testing the Android wallet for the last 2 weeks and I am personally in love with it. With MaNI and I being Android users it was a project we were excited to get done for selfish reasons and of course to increase usability for all our users. There is a couple more things to finalise and we will be releasing the wallet within the week barring any other last minute changes that come up. We have quite a few testers including the Nocks team, nfigueir (Developer of the current Android wallet), Jero and Markanth. A range of improvements have been made since the first beta that was released to the testers. The good news is that we have community groups that will test future Android and iOS changes the development team makes. A word of warning, using this Android wallet will make you want to spend your coins.  This will make my week! |

New android wallet coming tomorrow?
It was supposed to be March but there must be delays, better to wait another week or two for good development. MaNI has said it's almost ready in previous posts. Hi, Android wallet is basically done from a software perspective, but due to some unfortunate timing, schedule clashes and personal event with various team members we haven't yet managed to 100% finalise the graphics. As there are so many android devices around it is also a lot more work to ensure it looks and works well on as many of them as possible. Testing is ongoing and some of the slack community members are already using it to help with this, everything looks good. We will as you say only release once we are 100% happy rather than release something inferior, it should not be long now though. Great work ! I have a question with regards to the new iOS and Android wallets. Lets say another digital currency becomes more useful then uᴉoɔʇᴉq, how easy would it be for your team to add it as a payment option like you doing for uᴉoɔʇᴉq? I am thrilled the team has gone this route and gives another reason to keep my Gulden long term. Not hard at all from our side, provided Nocks are willing to add support for the currency or some other similar service becomes available. I can't really speak from the Nocks side, but I imagine if such a situation were to arise they could probably also support it relatively easily. Though of course the idea is that we will be that currency I have a samsung s6 if you want more testing. To confirm I will be able to use this wallet for any uᴉoɔʇᴉq merchant in Germany or anywhere in the world where uᴉoɔʇᴉq is accepted? 100% Andreas, I have personally tested the wallet on a s4 and s6 edge and it works like a dream. It's been a lot of work involved because it's a totally new wallet. Good to know! Can't wait to install on my phone. me too When can a realistic launch date be expected? This month. I will do my best to keep the prices above 100 but when i pass the 100 million coin mark I don't want to get anymore as it will be bad for distribution, if the price goes below 100 sat I will buy at 60 sat until I have 150 million coins, after this I stop. Those in the community that can afford 30-50btc should help me prevent a price collapse.
hmm, dont you think a majority of the volume is done by a handfull of people? so they control the price pretty much, dont think people with 30 btc have to say much in almost 3k volume/24h. I read LTEX said he was close to 1 billion digibyte on the zone forum for Gulden and this closed a long time ago. He might be at 1 billion coins unless he was telling a joke but LTEX is very rich. DGB does well LTEX becomes the new Bill Gates. |

Sorry, if you are looking for outright lies disguised as "marketing" with buggy software to back it up, in the name of super fast quick short term profits then I think this is not the coin for you. There are already plenty of other coins that fulfil that wish.
The thing about lies is that in order to keep the 'growth' going the lies have to keep getting bigger and bigger until eventually the whole thing collapses, real world users care about things like whether the software actually works.
Over here we are working hard on making solid software that actually works well, this takes time but we are progressing rapidly, in the medium term this will put us way ahead of all the marketing coins, who will all most likely collapse in short time.
Yes we will need marketing (real marketing not lies) - and there will be marketing - but first you need an actual compelling product to market, our product becomes more and more real and compelling by the day so this is not a problem.
Real, proper sustainable growth takes time, but when it happens it lasts, and if we keep doing what we are it will happen, some patience is required though doing things the proper/right way is always harder and slower.
right. quality is important. but without marketing quality unfortunately won't be successful. lisk is nothing more than marketing at the moment but they collected a lot of BTC. I bet they didn't get that much btc. Why would people give that much? |

b007 mentioned this coin as one he supports on the digibyte ann. I have had a good look and I like what I see. I have also seen you on code base 0.11, Congratulations on this. Myriad has not updated to the new code base yet. Neither has digibyte with its $250k investment and they have a android wallet that does not work.
There is one problem myriad has and that is marketing. Jared can sell ice to Eskimos but unfortunately this is all the sheep care about. What is this coin doing on this front to create awareness to a wider range of users?
I don't "support" this project, I do think the developers of Gulden and the founders of Nocks BV deliver excellent work and I hope for them and the community at large that Gulden will achieve its ultimate aim. b1007 wants more marketing done for Gulden but there is a lot of it coming from the Nocks team which is good. I don't think Rijk is a marketing person but Buerra does great work. The development team of Gulden however is in the top 5 in crypto and they certainly deserve more coverage. People underestimate the power of having iOS and soon Android wallet that will be usable everywhere. You can live off Gulden no matter where you live for basic living requirements like food/furniture/electronics/restaurants etc. This makes Gulden the most useful currency outside of bitcoin. The kicker is litecoin has a +280 times higher marketcap. Digibyte almost reached half our price with 6 billion supply against Gulden with only 300 million. What is Gulden doing wrong that it doesn't get any attention? |

Seeing the Marketcap of all coins going up slow, the more all the cryptocoins are worth, the better it is

Configure runs fine with nothing unusual. Upon completion there seems to be no QT wallet generated. I can see what appears to be its building during build sequence. Never run into this compiling other wallets. Help please. Thanks in advance.

If you are sure the binary is not being built then you might want to try this part of the instructions on our github repo: i.e. build from the tarball instead of from the repo. Alternatively you could try upgrade to a newer version of autotools so that aclocal can run correctly, but this may be a bit finicky. The reason you have not seen this on other coins is that most altcoins are also on codebases that are several years old (out of date) so have quite a different build system - Gulden keeps up with the latest bitcoin changes and as a result has moved to the newer autotools based build system. First testbatch of a special Gulden beer (Het Gouden Tientje) in the making today . A very nice project also. In about 3 weeks it can be tested on taste etc., it has to ripen first. It smells good already and the color is fine, yellowgold with an orange shine (color will lighten up a bit after ripening). It now goes for a few weeks in a yeast bucket. Question what has this coin actually to bring to the table compared to the other 2 dutch coins?
They have been here for a while, and you have just started.
I like the work you already have done because, you are actually going to meetings and have adds for free coins!
But Holland is a small country's with not a lot of people so why will this coin succeed where the other 2 have failed?
EFL and AMS was more for storage then actual usage. Gulden already has a lot of usage and once new Android wallet is released this month users with iOS and Android smartphones will be able to purchase at any gulden or bitcoin merchant making it far more usable then litecoin and doge put together. Therefore Gulden is no longer Dutch but international. Sweden gone to negative 0.5 interest rates. I am going to be buying more Gulden, will need the Android wallet to make sure I can purchase at many online places as possible that accept bitcoin.
