821  Economy / Economics / Re: Impact of Italy's crisis on the Bitcoin price? on: November 10, 2018, 03:14:58 PM
With Italy making a big statement to not follow with the imposed European Union budget (see this crazy sequence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erSSC85CME4 ), things are starting to get serious. Salvini may be nuts enough to not be bluffing.

Are we going to see the start of the biggest EU crisis yet? Italy is no Greece, it is too big, if the same scenario happens (this time with the far right instead of far left but same result) are we going to see an impact on the Bitcoin price?

If Italy goes Greece the consequences will be felt all over the world IMO.

While we might not be able to separate the happenings in the fiat economies from crypto, I still don't see the direct effect it could have on the subject matter. Italy is no doubt a significant stakeholder in the EU and the disagreement they are having to spell doom in certain areas of the EU economy but that does not translate to either the upward direction or downward direction of the price of bitcoin. Just like BREXIT era, economy handlers would surely figure out ways to navigate the storm. The same thing happening in the trade war between the United States and China or trade dispute between United States and Mexico. It does not directly impact the crypto market.
822  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Volatility: Creeping Evil or Essence of Crypto on: November 10, 2018, 02:50:59 PM
The issue of volatility would continue to be a controversy till the nearest future in which I don't see abating anytime soon. Its has become a situation of two edged sword that while on one hand, its the reason participants are in the market, on the other hand, its the sole reason keeping other intending participants away from the market.

The point is, as much as there are gainers in the currency phenomenon and there would also be gainers should the volatility be ended, there is nothing to worry about the future of the market.
823  Economy / Economics / Re: Mastercard is investing in blockchain on: November 10, 2018, 02:09:58 PM
If the news is reliable then it is very good. But honestly speaking, everything looks very suspicious, since a month ago I read news that Visa and Mastercard payment systems do not support the cryptocurrency market and do not intend to develop in this area.

Times are changing for companies. Sometimes the decision or policy of a company is largely dependent on the people running it at the time which could change any minute the moment the board no longer trust the management and decides to bring in fresh blood. When this happen, the same thing they castigated, might be the very best alternative cause of action which is why I am always skeptical about news on how companies are saying or positioning some negatives about blockchain or crypto currency.

However, this should not be mistaken for their support for crypto because they are two separate things and its the one that is promoting their own objective they are likely to be receptive towards.
824  Economy / Economics / Re: A Cryptocurrency Millionaire Wants to Build a Utopia in Nevada on: November 10, 2018, 01:16:59 PM
After reading the article, I must admit that the man is one hell of a dreamer that might sound stupid or mad to certain people but he sure have the courage to make such courage. For me, it's only time that tell as to whether he is a real dreamer or a wishful one but the surrounding factors point to the fact that it is possible after all, several years ago, a lot of people have dreamed which has become solutions to millions of people's problems.

I won't bank much on the support of the governor because as politicians, that is their default mode to ensure that the rich who could bring about development to their domain are given the most resounding welcome.
825  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Exchange: Should I trade? on: November 09, 2018, 03:43:49 PM
Hello everyone, I saw a new CFD trading platform for cryptocurrency. (www.mavsecure.com) I met a guy in TG and he referred me. So, how safe is to trade in CFD platforms? Is it profitable ?

New exchange sites should be given the chance to grow and its by patronizing them that is made possible. However, its not something that should be done blindly because in the midst of those that are genuine entrepreneurs who are trying to carve a niche for themselves, so also are those that are bound to reap people off so knowing the about such site in details before committing funds there is very essential. But the question I can't seem to understand is how the platform to trade is in relation to the profit that would be made. Aside the variance in the fee charged by exchange sites platforms and volume of coins to trade with, there determinant of profit is the entire market.
826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can this guy really be more than 90% accurate on EVERY single trade? on: November 09, 2018, 03:23:42 PM
Hey all,

So I follow this guy on YouTube, Mike Kelley or "King Matrix"...  lol and he trades crypto all day long and has a daily live trading update.  I have been watching for the past couple of months and I am blown away by the results.  I cant imagine how you could possibly make this stuff up but he is killing it!  Anyways I have been asking around because they offer a signal service and also scripts and I dont know if it is worth the $ or not or if its even real.  I feel like if the results from his track record are what they are then I can't lose.  I obv know that isn't true but I would like to know if anyone has heard of this guy or if its a joke or not.  His YouTube channel is https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjJ3tvdEDmFkz9ZxMbTWzpg  Thanks everyone and hopefully if its legit, I just helped us all out!  Haha. Semper!

Its actually possible to make some predictions about a trade and still win. Without sounding really arrogant, I have made some trading decision without any analysis or having special skill just by looking at the trend analysis provided by the site and in 24 hours it has turn out to be a good decision so also are times where it has been the wrongest set of decisions to be made.

However, to be 90% correct based on your submission have to do with so artificial intervention which can be explained in a simple way. The same way you are following him, so also are others who are not only following him but at the same time acting on every predictions he dishes out and in the crypto market, to be popular, you need the population that will carry it out which is like the explanation behind whatever he is doing and making it seem like a pro.
827  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentina struggles with yet another financial crisis! on: November 09, 2018, 01:59:28 PM
Argentina struggles with yet another financial crisis! Is it time for the Argentinians to create their own crypto community currency instead of repeating hyperinflation once again? In Nairobi Kenya, Bancor has started an initiative for the local citizens to trade tokenized community currencies peer-to-peer without counter party risks. While Argentina is suffering with Dejavu.
https://www.reddit.com/r/cryptocurrencynews/comments/9dfr3j/argentina_struggles_with_yet_another_financial/

It has not been proven that creating crypto currency is the solution to the problem of hyper inflation. Several countries have witnessed hyper-inflation in the past to the extent that in some countries citizens would carry bag full of currency to the market only to come back with a loaf of bread that is how bad it was but today they are doing well and crypto currency was not their solution. A country that believes that creating crypto currency would solve its economic problem without attending the root cause of the inflation, would only provide a short term solution that would come back to hunt them big time in the near future. An example is a country that is dependent on imports and the reason for the inflation is the continuous demand for foreign goods. No matter the amount of crypto established without encouraging local production and patronage, its purely going to be a waste of time.
828  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto currency may not disrupt the Trillion Dollar Global Market on: November 09, 2018, 11:45:59 AM
As we know for sure that global market is counted in multi trillion dollar industry and this keeps getting higher in value day by day and year by year, I doubt that crypto currency may at a time will disrupt this industry,

The doubt is but obvious because crypto currency as a whole including BTC + ALTCOINS together is not even amounting to the trillions or so and thus it is just little toy in a big toy shop. It may not even impact it because it is global stuff, and traded all over the world at the same time and hence also gets too much diluted over the time.

This is why crypto may not have any impact over the global Economy whatsoever.

Any thought reading this?

Suggestions and opinions geared towards the position that crypto currency might disrupt the financial system is nothing but a mere wishful thinking which would like not see the light of the day. I found it appalling that despite the glaring reasons steering in the face of people, they still decide to look the other way round and providing argument on the contrary.

A single company in one of the business advert of CNN has above a trillion dollars that its managing in which the entire market capitalization of the entire crypto market industry would only be a fraction of that which does not pose any threat. This is not in support of the motive that there is no potential for crypto currency but its to limit the extent of wishful thinking and over-expectation.

Need some help with electrum wallet ,if anyone can help me setups some things i can give a zero day bug

Skype= jonyclarcklameass11

You either need to state whatever challenge you are having so that help can be offered or you go to the Electrum sub-section part of the forum to see as I am sure, whatever challenge you are having, someone must have had the same or someone more experienced than would have offered some solutions. Rather than waiting for someone to spend his own Skype credit in reaching out to you to help.
831  Other / Meta / Re: Blocking of the account for posting on: November 04, 2018, 03:25:22 PM
One unique thing about the forum is that inspire the freedom to post and it seems no one is seeing what you are doing, someone is watching and when it happens just like now, there is no going back. I am sure for you to create the thread, you must have been so full of yourself thinking you couldn't have done nothing wrong to warrant the punishment meted against you but alas, there is always a record for everything. Unfortunately, there is no turning back, I doubt if the situation can be salvaged because ignorance and apologises is never a tenable excuse.
832  Economy / Services / Re: Claim Your Forked Coins From Old BTC, LTC, ETH Addresses on: November 04, 2018, 07:17:19 AM
I can't believe you are offering this kind of service at this time when there are several services available who have proved themselves that the only thing you need type is your btc address and every version of the forked coins you entitled to will be displayed followed by how to go about it in a seamless way. A newbie asking for people to let go of their private key in 2018, you will need to try harder in getting people to trust your service.
833  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-10-10] Princeton Research Claims China Motivated to “Kill” Bitcoin, ..... on: November 02, 2018, 06:57:03 AM
The real issue is what will they do about it? Carrying out researches then publishing of papers here is just pointing fingers and also emphasising what we already know. Anyone knows that from the beginning of time, China has been against bitcoin and at every period of time in the past, there was always one report or the other saying things about the ban coming from China.

With 74% of mining pools controlled by China, we will only be deceiving ourselves if we think China is done with bitcoin. The reason why it seems they don't care at this time is the general calmness in the entire market. When this period is over, I expect some moves. So, instead of Princeton focusing of what China is doing, they should be talking about what United States is not doing that could rub off on other countries and dilute the enormous influence China still possesses.
834  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you honestly feel about the recent bitcoin drop? on: October 29, 2018, 08:24:54 AM
Talking about feeling, I doubt if there is anybody who would be happy with current happenings as mild growth is better than a sharp drop that has been witnessed  in the past couple of hours. However, the difference between those who know about the marker and newbie is how we react. An undeniable fact is that, at the moment whining or thinking about it does not change things for the better, it would rather make it worse.

So, for me, and so many other, its just one of those days that reds abound. There is no point having false hope. Tomorrow is another day to focus on other things. It could be a period to recover our losses, it could also mean more losses either way, we are moving forward. Deciding whether to buy, sincerely the choice is yours. If you can afford it, go for it.
835  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Looking for a lawyer who know about Crypto on: October 22, 2018, 10:42:38 AM
Hey There
I'm looking for a lawyer who know about Crypto Market. I have a big problem with poloniex and can't get any help from SEC or other institutions.
Does someone has any experiences with this?

Cheers

You know what, rather than looking for a lawyer because from your tone, it sure sounds like you are looking to sue maybe because of the way you have been treated. But the best way is to lay bare what is going on and you might be surprised someone might have gone through the same thing as yours and would be able to advise you accordingly without the need of going through the hassles of lawyers. Except the lawyer is a friend of yours be ready to part away with huge funds under the guise of consultancy fee and hourly billables.
836  Economy / Economics / Re: Alternative currency ( paper money ) on: October 18, 2018, 08:29:44 AM
I probably would not use it. What makes money "money" is not about whether its printed or electronic its because its being accepted as a medium of exchange and attached value. Remove those from it, its just a worthless piece of paper.

And again, the term government goes beyond an elected body at the national or states level or any constituted authority. A mere coming together of some people to control something is a form of government on its own because they would be deciding for others. As it relates to paper currency, it cannot be unregulated as some people would have to be ensure its printed, its secure, the value does not drop, its relatively scarce, its in various units, it does not leads to inflation and all of that is regulations.

838  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Chinese man jailed for 3.5 years after stealing electricity to mine bitcoin on: October 16, 2018, 06:31:18 AM
A man in China has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison after stealing electricity from a train network in order to mine bitcoin. Xu Xinghua from Shanxi province pleaded guilty to stealing 104,000 yuan (£11,300), which was used to mine 3.2 bitcoins. Given the current price of bitcoin, 3.2 bitcoins is worth only a little more than what was stolen, however in times past it would be worth a lot more.

(this is the article : https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/bitcoin-mining-china-prison-train-electricity-cryptocurrency-energy-environment-a8577791.html)

This punishment is more of sending a message than being to correct a behavior. The margin he got in terms of profit is not enough with the punishment he will have to go through. It will be surprising that the same justice system that commit this man to 3.5 years for literally stealing £11,300 from the public would commit lesser for government official if found guilty of stealing a higher amount. The most fair deal would be to ask him to either pay the money back or collect the entire amount generated from the enterprise then suspend him. But now, he will have to carry the tag 'convict' for the rest of his life for merely wanting to earn a living in other to supplement his income.

I think this doesn't belong to Legal.

It needs to be here though because it talks about a legal system that the focus is not on stealing but what he used it for which is related to bitcoin and he needs to be punished severely for that.
839  Economy / Lending / Re: I need BTC 1.303 loan badly.. WHY? on: October 12, 2018, 07:25:13 PM
A usual phrase from a ponzi site.

I think we'll prove you're wrong.

I am sure a lot of other people will be waiting for this to happen which I will give admonition for, you might have to wait till forever because it won't happen.

Now judge yourself, you said you don't use bitcointalk, yet you claim people will call you a scammer because of your rank. How come you really know the workings of the forum so well and you don't still use it? That does not add up.

Let's say you are truthful about not being part of the forum, do you think someone joining a community for the first time, the only thing he can think of doing is asking for loan without even trying to understand the workings of the forum he claim to be a new member. Can you part away your money for such individual? If other members are hostile, they are surely right to do that.
840  Other / Meta / Re: Where to run a spam free bounty campaign? [new board?] on: October 12, 2018, 05:09:03 PM
I've been asked to manage a campaign to promote a game (website). It will start with sharing posts on Facebook, which will earn the participants Tokens. Those Tokens can be used to play the game, which will then pay in Bitcoins.

Since it doesn't pay in Bitcoin directly, it won't be allowed in Services or Games and Rounds.

I think Bounties (Altcoins) would be the right place, but threads are only on the first page for 4 minutes. In just an hour, the thread would be buried 7 pages deep. On that board, I'd be competing against spam threads with hundreds of pages filled with Facebook and Twitter links, and thousands of bump bots spamming  "proof of join" and "good project".

I've mentioned this problem before, but I'm now actually at the point where it's going to be my problem: a spam free campaign can't survive, as nobody will see the thread. Spam works, and spam pays!
Is there any board I can use to run a self-moderated campaign with zero tolerance for spam, with all applications handled through Google Forms, and barely any posts in the thread itself?
And if there isn't such a board, should a board with very strict rules for campaign managers and participants be created?

If there is any section of the forum that fills up real fast, that section is the number one in the pack. Its so fast that a thread of now when refreshed in the next five minutes might get you in page 2 and there is nothing that can be done about it because I am not sure the forum moderators would want to compromise because you are the one managing it.

My suggestion, your thread will have to be created there and hope that the advertisement will be seen across the forum by the activities of the participants and not the thread itself. Moreover, since your campaign is a quality loaded one, it would compensate for the view which would be lost via that section of the forum.
