Then why theymos is still not implementing the 1 merit to achieve Jr. Member. If I am not mistaken, this has been talked about from the thread created by yahoo.

That is not a solution to this. Assuming they have high ranked accounts as well from the past, they can easily bypass 1 merit limit to reach the next level.
There should probably be something more practical to the cause, that should stop this for good, and I know it is not a piece of cake to come up with something that can tackle such actions, but there is no other choice.

823  Other / Meta / Re: Hidden boards as a reward for high merited users and reporters on: August 09, 2018, 11:00:53 AM
Not really sure about the reporting-based boards, but merit-based boards sounds like a very good idea to me.
The boards should be visible to everyone, but only people with required merit count should be able to post new threads or participate in discussions. In that way, the genuine new members would have the chance to read and learn the things in there, or maybe get some motivation from the discussions of that board, and then try to earn their place in that board by becoming more and more constructive for the community.
824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a new form of manipulation? on: August 09, 2018, 10:47:06 AM
All that will be needed is for the whole crypto market to think in one way and you'll be good to go.

That would never happen!
The whole community can never think in one way, because there are people with different mindsets, and different theories about every other thing. Every other person have a hold on their Bitcoins for a very different reason, and they act according to that when they see a situation. And, there are people with very strong, manipulative minds who know exactly what to do to make a whole big part of the community to react as per their wishes, and they succeed, most of the times. They simply manipulate the people, make them feel the fear of losing, and the people are most of the times in fear so they act to it, and boom! we get a situation again.
That is how it works, and that is how it will, in future too.

Found some more.

1. Hpaqlmkp

His post history:

2. Apkliqpkh

His post history:

3. styyipoio

His post history:

The first two accounts have only a difference of 5 user accounts between them if we see their UIDs.
User: Hpaqlmkp - UID: 2325691
User: Apkliqpkh - UID: 2325685

And, the accounts are mostly named with random alphabets and in some cases mixed up with letters. Someone or maybe some people are creating random accounts in a sequence to do all this, although the reason is none understandable.
826  Other / Meta / Re: language difficulties on: August 08, 2018, 11:25:15 AM
does it permitted or not to post in many local board which i did already https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4610753.msg41649185#msg41649185 on this topic i just want to broaden my availability to speak or type which regarding language barrier, anyone?

Of course you can post in any local board if you know the language. You can only broaden your availability if you have a wide range of languages in your reach as it is against the rules to use translators to post in local boards.

In most case less color will look better (more elegance/professional) even if it only 1 or 2 difference, but since you write that you need a logo with at least 2/3 main color, so most of the participants follow that guideline.
Afterall this is your decision and your project, but if you have other competition better not put any guidelines if it is not necessary, so the participants may freely explore their idea,

We did that, exactly. All this time, thinking about how to resemble trading and automation in the logo, and design it accordingly, and when we did that, the winner comes out from a corner with none of the resemblances mentioned by them.

The winner of the contest is LogoGuy.

The winning entry can be seen here: https://image.ibb.co/gVf23o/Eon_Bot_Logotype.png

And the post where the entry was submitted here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4732521.msg43170835#msg43170835

Thanks everyone for participating!

Congratulations, LogoGuy.
So, no consolation prizes for other good ones? We worked hard too for this.

I did not mean that, the thing is and what many companies are doing that, they escrow but from participants, there is someone from their team with, experience. Giving him submission and making him win. This happened few times for few companies, while they need just for generating ideas and rest is doing their illustrator. because the hard part is brainstorm and the idea behind logo, if concept is good anyone rebrand it anytime. Hope this one is not the case couse tried pretty hard  Grin

Maybe there are companies who do these things, but this doesn't seem to be one of 'em to me. Because, I believe people would still participate to try their luck to win some money if the funds weren't even escrowed, and that would still generate the ideas they might would have been looking for, but they escrowed the funds to make sure that even good designers get to take part in it and they get quality content. At least that is how I see it, and to be honest, we all have worked pretty hard on this thing, for sure.

What about the result?
All this bounty seems little shady to be honest, my guess is they needed ideas to fit the brand, the bounty was so big many tried. Lets see we will check it out from the results, if they will be available any time soon

The funds are escrowed by Lauda who is one of the most trusted users in the forum. So I don't think they can cheat on us after giving away the funds to her. I was just concerned because it has been a lot later than the actual time they said they would pick the winner.

835  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies wearing signature; is it good or bad? on: July 25, 2018, 11:23:15 AM
It surprises me anytime i see a newbie starting a thread like" where can i get a bounty which allows newbie to participate in signature".

It surprised me too, seeing a Jr. member, which is technically a newbie as well but just a little bit older in age, wearing a paid signature and posting things that are by far not constructive and advising others not to do the same.

Every signature campaign requires you to be active in the forum by making posts.

No! Every signature campaign requires you to be active in the forum by making "constructive" posts. And you are not even near that and I know that because I have just read some of your posts.

Now the question is, as a newbie, how much knowledge have you gain from the forum so far that can help you make constructive posts.

You tell me, how much knowledge have you gained from the forum so far that makes you think you are an active constructive poster?

They end up spamming the forum here and there making access to quality information very difficult.

Just like you.

Please my advice to all new members is that lets use that period to groom ourselves well so that when we start wearing signatures, we can be making constructive posts. Thank you

Charity begins at home. So before you go out advising others to be good, be better yourself. You are wearing a signature to get paid, and posting nothing else but garbage posts in every single mega spam thread available in the forum, and yet you are here to advise others not to do what you are already doing yourself.
You can't change the world if you don't change yourself first.

838  Other / Meta / Re: Serious Question Needs Honest Answer, What Am I Doing Wrong not to earn Merit? on: July 18, 2018, 02:21:33 PM
do you think my posts and comments are not helpful or kinda nonsense?

I know you didn't ask me to do that, but I couldn't help but do it still.
Don't be offended by this, but yes, your posts are kinda nonsense in most cases. I just had a look at your post history, and browsing only the first page of it made me realize why you ended up opening this thread. Below are a couple of examples of posts that would never get merited unless the person giving merits is meriting posts without seeing their quality.

But if it will be backed by gold and manage by some institution then the key purpose of bitcoin will be gone which is decentralized, no intermediaries/even a single administrator and freedom from fiat and government institution.

There are many generous people willing to donate bitcoins but first you need to state what you will do with the donation. You have to be clear where the money will be going and spend or else no one will be willing to donate.

As you said, you're a startup company, so why not start an ico that's how nowadays startup company get their funds. They create token, then market their product or propose project to the public and inviting people to invest..this is also like crowdfunding. In return, they will be able to get token and earn something in return.
Be transparent and have a solid proposal/project and you will get the funds you need.

Read the replies, and lock the thread.
840  Other / Meta / Re: Offering Spamming Services Openly? on: July 09, 2018, 12:37:00 PM
Though tagging them won't really make a difference as their only motive is to post shit on the threads to bump them and get paid for it, but letting them roam completely free even after knowing what they are doing would be awful IMO.
There should probably be some other implementations to stop such kind of things as the previous efforts for a spamless forum has failed in stopping such practices.
