8322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Open Source Projects Survive Poisonous People on: January 31, 2012, 02:33:55 PM
I think that Luke has the mental skills and knowledges to give a great help to the Bitcoin project, but he has also the wrong attitude, and this ruins everything.
I hope that he will find a better way to give his precious help to the project.

From the other side, it seems that Gavin is taking it too personally ... so it will be easy that sometimes he doesn't think clean.
I also don't support this "rush" way to add a features that will change the future of this project without any options to come back.
8323  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Why do you mine on deepbit? on: January 30, 2012, 02:12:24 AM
So you don't keep some of your regular currency in a bank?
Sam
Yes, because I'm forced by the actual situation, but that doesn't make me a fan of the banks system.
So my statement is still true, no one is forced to use the old style pool.
8324  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Why do you mine on deepbit? on: January 30, 2012, 01:49:19 AM
Using an usual pool instead of the P2Pool is like being fan of banks instead of Bitcoin.
You are hitting your foots Roll Eyes

8326  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Digg/Reddit like News site. Voting is based on Bitcoins! on: January 29, 2012, 02:30:53 AM
Can you add tags and languages support? ( I don't mean multilanguage pages, evn if this can be another feature )
So people will be able to search their own language news.
8327  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Counterfeit money on Silk Road? on: January 27, 2012, 10:21:25 PM
You will see ...
After the choice of the right BIP xx, there will be p2p-ebay, or p2p-silk-road.
It will be anonymous, unmoderated, with like-zero cost escrow included.
It will change everything, again Cheesy

Ok, but the user must be educated.
We can't leave him forever alone with his own stupidity Smiley
There must be an option/flag that enable the "advanced view" and it will show what the client is really waiting for ( the block number )
There aren't also only noob users, there are also user like me that prefer to see "everything" Cheesy
8330  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: bitcoin: URI expiration date on: January 24, 2012, 02:28:08 PM
But as he said, block number is the real time of the Bitcoin network Cheesy
8331  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: Bitcoin e Paypal on: January 24, 2012, 06:59:14 AM
E' già capitato che paypal bloccasse account se usati per questi scambi, e quindi si preferisce evitare.
Magari può andare bene per scambi personali, ma non certo interconnesso con siti e servizi.
8332  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Digg/Reddit like clone where voting is based on bitcoins on: January 24, 2012, 12:41:29 AM
You should open it as hidden service too Smiley
8333  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Potential solutions for Escrow/Fraud issues on: January 24, 2012, 12:38:17 AM
I like the CoinSpeculator's idea.
It can be % that can be set from the client before the transaction.
There should be a trackbar that goes from 0.00% to 100%, or even it can be set manually ( ex: 120% )
So, it will be even possible that both buyers and sellers will need to put the same amount of Bitcoin to make the exchange.
If everything will go well, the seller will get back his own money and buyers money too.

I don't know if this kind of transaction ( with such a high % ) will ever happen/needed, but I think that the should be available on the client(s)
8334  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: bitcoin: URI expiration date on: January 23, 2012, 04:22:46 PM
I think that the bitcoin client should give a warning to the user instead of blocking him completely.

Example:
"The time to use this address seems expired, are you really sure to make this transaction? You can lose all these Bitcoins"
[YES][NO]
8335  Other / Off-topic / Re: uploaded.to 'not available in your country' on: January 21, 2012, 04:56:40 PM
I think that it's a good move, I hope that many other services are going to do the same.
So US voters will make some better choices next time Smiley
8336  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: WHY CHANGE(aka BIP hell)? on: January 21, 2012, 01:28:03 AM
If you don't like evolution, you can simply go back to use old currencies as usd/eur are Wink
8337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Feds kill Megaupload... are you buying Namecoins yet? on: January 20, 2012, 09:48:11 AM
We already have p2p, and decentralized websites/technologies ... megaupload was a downgrade.

8339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uploaded.to Accepts BTC As Payment (think Rapidshare, Megaupload) on: January 19, 2012, 11:29:59 PM
They can do whatever they want wherever they want.
So they can also attack a pool to scare others, but there is already a solution to this problem, the P2Pool.

The last weakness of Bitcoin are the exchangers.
We really need serverless/decentralized exchangers!
8340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uploaded.to Accepts BTC As Payment (think Rapidshare, Megaupload) on: January 19, 2012, 12:44:56 PM
I sent an email to megaupload Smiley
Wait 2/3 days and I'll give you the reply.
