Can anybody give me a quick update why the price is so low?
It seems totally undervalued as the coin is in real use for payment.

They lost all the rich investors sometime back due to internal conflict. It is mainly the ordinary citizen that is supporting Gulden. Had this been any other coin it would of been in the top 20. I am going to hang around and see where this goes. Once the Dutch unite behind Gulden and forget about all the other disaster coins that have no chance , people will wonder how they missed this one. LTEX was meant to do marketing for Gulden but he is trying to keep AUR alive, Gulden is missing a marketing team. |

Will all updates still be posted on here ? 79 users means we will never see prices of under 200 again unless bitcoin goes to $1500 It looks like slack has taken away a lot of people that used to post on bitcointalk. According to timeline everything has been posted on this announcement page. |

Might it be an idea to get Gulden on Safecex? I really like the idea they have the option for instant and anonymously exchanging assets, similar like Shapeshift (but without the ridiculous fees). I have a idea for the Gulden community. Lets push the price below 300 and start buying again in the 200s, we can see Gulden is going to be a success but until it goes mainstream we deserve to get coins at a cheaper rate. Biomikes buy order will become a sell order at 350 and we can keep the price low until the currency goes to the adoption phase. Can some of the big holders sell coins at 300 and lets get some coins in the 200s please!

They do look good, what is the 5000 NLG meant to be? Is there a wallet already loaded with 5000 NLG that comes with the coins?
They look good in real also and feel solid heavy weight. The 5000 NLG is symbolic. You can add your own paper wallet at the back in the square. Great to have some of them, it is part of the history of Gulden, although with "Guldencoin" on in it. I disagree, I think the .zone forum was an environment that encouraged investments within the community. At least for me personally, I bought more when I became enthusiastic about the project and the .zone forum had something to do with it as well...
That wasn't the teams fault, the forum was run be a community member. He should be blamed for closing it down. |

At least we all know the forums had nothing to do with the price movements of Gulden. Did everyone have a good xmas ?
I want to say sorry to the Gulden team and Rijk. The forums were blamed for Gulden having a low price and the new forums have not made a difference to the price. I think all those people who caused havoc for the team were using the official forums as a excuse to take over the coin, but with new forums the excuses are gone and they all caught with there pants down and exposed. Sorry Rijk for doubting you. |

Efl dump is coming
Most of the coins are owned by psychoticboy and Yoshi Livo, I don't see them dumping any coins. I have +- 26k for the psychoticboy pump at the next halving to 14k. |

I have been following this coin for a while now and must agree that development is very cool! Having read back on this ann for about 50 pages it seems like a shame that the community has lost so much positive pace. I also think this has to do with the absence of a good forum, which seems to be the Achilles heal of this project. I think being on Slack is not a good way to grow a community in an open way and it keeps new people out. I for one have no idea what is happening with Gulden at the moment. Joining Slack, been on some of those before, is not a good way, it gives no overview of things and most of the time you miss the important stuff in all the fud going on there. So my question is, and don't shoot me instantly for bringing this up (yes, I truly read those pages  ), why not put some of your amazing development skills in a good forum again? Will the price triple due to new forums you think, if yes I would create new forums and see if it changes the value of Gulden. Buy at these prices, release new forums and watch the price go to the moon! ontopicplease dumped over 4 million coins because of disagreements with the team. I offered to buy at 450 sat when the price was about 550 sat. This was a large buyer that is no longer purchasing Gulden and flooded the market with over 4 million more coins. Bitcoin price has also doubled in price in the last month or two and no alt coins rise in satoshi value. Digibyte has also crashed back into the 20s after being over 100 a month ago. I have to facepalm @ people if they being serious about some stupid forum!! That explains the drop in price, thanks for being open about the ontopicplease dump out. |

There is a lot of people I notice don't post here like they used too and they all blamed the forums. I think the price is going under 300 when that wall is broken.
I believe the downwards trend, is more related to the price of the Bitcoin rally (which, in short time, nearly doubled) EFL is ahead of Gulden with all the hard work and achievements for Gulden. What does that say about the crypto world and the only complaint I have seen about Gulden is the official forums. |

I look at this picture  and I can not understand who was born first and who was cloned  Only clearly visible large premine and attempt to play on the famous name whose is remembered many Dutch people or is it the same developers have launched two similar coins that would collect more bitcoins for them? The biggest downfall of Gulden has been the official forums. It would be double the value if the forums were as nice as EFLs. EFL was the top country coin for about 12 hrs in the last 24hrs and will take the place of Gulden over the next month. Please dont change to forums that are made for Elton John. EFL is about the people and community and the tech that satoshi came with is all we will ever need, Gulden is doing things people don't care for in crypto world. People want to make money and only can make money by reaching out to people. No amount of advanced tech and advanced features they come out with is going to make them rich. We not against Gulden, if Gulden does well we will do well and if EFL do well our users will buy Gulden. It will be good to see if tech > community. There is no denying the Gulden dev team might be one of the best in crypto but they mess up with the forums and bad people skills. This is why they were attacked and not other coins but the devs responded like champs. They need someone like Jared from digibyte to promote the coin or it will be another Dutch failure. |

It's surprising that this coin afloat despite the huge premine**. Apparently a lot Dutchmen remember the good old Nederlandse gulden (officially until 1999) and do not know what crypto currency must be transparent and honest Or, despite the huge premine and still afloat, this says something about Gulden in general... Ok, how about Electronic Gulden? it is also a coin from the same developers? But it looks like a clone with the same name and same premine Just curious who was born the first EFL has a much better main forum then Gulden but Gulden is better in every other way. |

I have to eat my words but it looks like LTEX is delivering on his exchange. What was the main reason for him leaving the community? Besides the forums. The disscusion is close for me and lot other members of Gulden community I agree. Lets keep it calm and not more flaming things. Lets all work together to build a better tomorrow. |

Slack is not a replacement for a forum as I cant browse the discussions taking place. Lots of "guest" users read the forums that don't worry about registering but want to see what is being discussed.
Great Point. Nobody said it was a replacement did they? There's not one platform that will be a cure-all and nobody said there won't be any updates coming to the forums either. It's multi-platform, the forums just have to share the spotlight with all of the other places that people are reached. 90% (probably more) of the entire user-base will never read or sign-up on the forums anyway. It plays such a small part in all of this. Indeed, indeed, indeed. My brother and I won't be doing a forum as we will be quite busy in the future and a forum requires a lot of work to moderate and build up users. Thanks to the team for your continued work on Gulden and those community members that put in a lot of effort to make this the best currency. Please keep posting all updates on bitcointalk as my only request. When will the iOS wallet be ready for us to install? |

I have noticed a decline in community participation after the zone forum was closed down. What was the reason for this?
Zone forum was nothing special although it wasn't bad either, I preferred browsing forum.guldencoin.com as I am used to simple machines. There is nothing wrong with the official forum although I wouldn't of bothered changing it in the first place. The forum.guldencoin.com was really busy. One change I can recommend for the official forum is to show metrics for online users. Until then it's like comparing apples and oranges. I like the resource links at the bottom of https://community.gulden.com/, online statistics would make it a lot better as people like to see numbers and growth! Doesn't worry me as I only post on bitcointalk and only for Gulden mainly. One of the reasons my brother and I want to create a new forum is because the official forum does not get many responses to important non tecknique topics posted. Before we start I want to find out who will come sign up and if you think new forum a good idea. |
