841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: August 19, 2023, 05:56:28 PM
Spurs 1-0 up and United have been awful, well deserved lead by the home team. Plenty of time to go though, still 24 minutes to go. Spurs are really fighting well as a cohesive unit, maybe losing Kane has made them more of a team in a way. I’m enjoying this any way, a good game.
842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 19, 2023, 05:24:10 PM
I don't see what Manchester united is playing as they only had opportunities in the first twenty minutes wglhich Gnarcho wasn't able to pass the ball properly into their opponent box. Onana has been the saviour of the first half with his superb saves that he made.

Tottenham is pressuring the game and they are creating opportunities for themselves in order to net the post but they have being unlucky. The deadlock hasn't been broken yet from both sides and the match is still a goalless draw. I hope that Manchester united will be able to come back with full force in the second half to score at least one goal.

Man Utd are a very average team but they often win games without deserving it. Spurs have had a lot of chances and really should be winning. Hopefully they don’t regret all the missed chances because United have a lot of clinical players, if they get a good chance they will probably take it.

Sitting down with a beer to start the evening, couple of big PL games on now.

Spurs vs Man Utd - Should be really attacking football, a really entertaining game for the neutral. I fancy Spurs to get something.

Man City vs Newcastle - Huge test for sportsbet.io’s flagship PL team. City have lost KDB to injury so that will help Newcastle. Huge test but they can get a positive result if they defend well. Isak could be lethal on the break.

Good for you, OP. I think everybody should be trying to stack as much bitcoin as they possibly can whilst it’s still possible to reach one bitcoin. It’s still achievable for first world, full time working people but it probably won’t be as early as two years from now. With only 21,000,000 to ever exist and potentially 3,000,000 or more lost already, to own one bitcoin will make you elite level wealth in our lifetime.
845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 19, 2023, 07:40:56 AM
I don't doubt the depth of the squad that Man City has, even though they are dealing with injuries to Kevin De Bruyne, Silva and Stones. Their backup players also have almost the same quality, although not at the same level. Playing at home will give a plus, Pep Guardiola's squad will get the full support of their fans.

Newcastle is indeed on fire, Tonali beat Aston Villa with a promising score. But I think this game will end in a draw, 1-1 could be possible.

The only thing is KDB is behind a lot, and I mean a lot of their goals. How many assists does he provide for Haaland.

Make no mistake about it, the title race just became more open. Arsenal and others will be licking their lips.

@BritishHodl
I was wondering what might happen to Bitcoin after a Spot ETF Approval.

This is the yearly chart for Gold.

Gold rallied roughly 350% in the 8 years after GLD was approved.

Here's why Bitcoin will rally harder than Gold:

1. Finite supply. You can't just mine more Bitcoin to match ETF demand which is what happened in the Gold Market.

2. Multiples are tighter. Gold requires roughly $1.6bn (according to BofA) to move the Gold market cap by 1%. Bitcoin needs just $93m according to the same research.

3. Bitcoin is increasing it's adoption rapidly and seen as more than a reserve asset.

Safe to say #Bitcoin  would rally much harder than Gold.

How hard? Let's think about it.

If it took $1.6bn to move Gold's market cap by 1% and it takes Bitcoin just $93m.

Just, approximate math here, not a deep dive study.

That means Bitcoin could rise by 76x more over the same period, not taking into account finality of supply.

So if a Bitcoin ETF is approved by $40,000.

Gold went up ~350% in 8 years.

That equals $140,000.

Now, times that by 76 and you get...

$10.64m per Bitcoin over the same period.

Assuming a lot stays the same - which it won't.

And this is without 20+ other considerations to Bitcoin's supply tightening due to demand not being even looked at.

I also think supply constrains FURTHER as the price goes up and more financial facilities come up to generate liquidity without selling.

No one is truly ready for true scarcity.

How to lose money on the short term:

-Follow the financial advice and crap posted by the 80% of W.O, who allways are thinking on bull bull bull.

How to gain money on the long term.

-Just hodl ,and read the remain usefull 20% of W.O.

Nobody should be leverage or short term trading.

I don’t know what you’re talking about because pretty much every reputable WO poster advocates long term HODLING.

I’ve been here since 2014 and I’ve never seen 80% of the people here suggesting anything other than long term HODLING.

852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 17, 2023, 02:50:51 PM
De Bruyne is a better team player compared to Foden. He is thinking of his teammates to score more. I can say that there is a great cooperation between De Bruyne and Haaland in most of their matches. For this reason De Bruyne's absence can affect the productivity of the team in a negative way.

Foden will most probably be the replacement for him now as you also have mentioned. He is a lovely player with great individual skills. Even though he doesn't have the same characteristics with De Bruyne I hope to see him showing a good level of performance in the meantime.

KDB is one of, if not the most important City player. Without him they would not have had the trophy laden years they’ve had under Pep. Foden is a top player but make no mistake about it, they are going to miss KDB. A 4 month absence will hurt City, no doubt about it.
853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 17, 2023, 09:48:19 AM
What was the point in allowing Hendo to leave to replace him with a worse player for more money?

I understand that we are thin in midfield, but panic buys like these are something that we managed to avoid since Klopp took over.
I don't really like this, Endo is not good enough to be a starting midfielder for Liverpool - therefore we should not be buying him.

Bro, all I can say is hopefully he is being seen as back up and a squad player as if this is ‘THE DM’ then FSG are taking the piss out of us. How do you go from £111,000,000 Caicedo to this in a week?

So hopefully he is a squad player and we are working on a top class DM now. I’ve seen links regarding a big money move for Doucoure from Palace. His stats for last season are very similar to Caicedo’s, playing in a worse team too. I’m unsure what to think on that one, other than we need a top class DM, not this Japanese guy.

In other news, apparently the big construction company who are carrying out the Anfield Road extension have filed for administration today so we will have an unfinished stand until we get somebody else to finish it.

🎖️| Khephren Thuram, Ryan Gravenberch, Manu Kone and Cheick Doucoure are all liked by Liverpool. [@neiljonesgoal]

No time to mess around, only two weeks left in the transfer window. We need a defensive midfielder fast.

We’ve been consolidating in a really tight range for what feels like an eternity. Would be really good if we break out to the upside soon. There are murmurings of extreme downside in legacy markets soon though. Big Short Michael Burry recently shorted stocks with over 90% of his net worth (does he know something?). Hopefully bitcoin doesn’t follow stocks if that is the case, problem is though it usually does.
