861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is your worst crypto casino experience? on: August 14, 2019, 11:25:55 AM
being short tempered and bet my remaining balance therefore resulted in major loses. Always avoid on gambling when you are angry on something, you will be able to remember the discussions you had while playing leading lose of concentration.
862  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between an investor and common man! on: August 12, 2019, 01:40:34 PM
I fall for the common man I guess, I immediately get what I want and it is because I loaned it, I don't have the patience of waiting and saving money for what I want. Sometimes I get the help from others including my family, (Dad and Mom), they are supportive and gives me the money whenever it is worth spending for, like in business. The nice thing is they don't charge me with interest, good deal right?
863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: August 12, 2019, 11:47:59 AM
Never had won any big money in my entire gambling career, it was the reverse, lost nearly 400 dollars in just a single night, I am not that a gambling at all, I was just hoping to get back my loses but the sad thing was I lost. Until now I never had the guts to bet high, I have enough of those sad moments. If ever I will  have another chance to bet higher maybe a second bout of Pacquiao and Mayweather, I will gladly bet my remaining pocket money for pacman.
864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gov'ts and Institutions buying up Bitcoin on: August 09, 2019, 08:58:19 PM
What do we make of the coverage of institutions and governments quietly buying up large amounts if Bitcoin? Is there much reliable info/coverage on this? Seems like this might not be getting the attention it deserves. Or maybe I'm just being led on by suspicion/curiosity.

Opinions? Inside info haha

Maybe under its regiments, not the governments itself. There are laws to be considered and a government buying bitcoin would probably be kept hidden ad unknown to the public, it will cause public distress and questionings to the public servants. In anyway, may a government employee would definitely bought bitcoin, base on their own judgement they invest using their own money and not by the government as a whole.
865  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What methods currently exists to buy Bitcoin with fiat without a third party? on: August 09, 2019, 03:34:36 PM
What online methods currently exists to buy Bitcoin with fiat without a trusted third party?

LocalBitcoins has an escrow through a trusted third party, and Bisq has an escrow through a trusted arbitrator.

Are there any non-third party options out there?

I think you would have a hard time finding one, but you should try and post it in the services section if you are willing to pay escrows and also want to send the money first, since you are a newbie, you would take the risk.
866  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders who never bother to learn how to trade on: August 09, 2019, 12:42:08 PM
I kind of noticed that trading was not meant for me, because I am a low learner and not too serious of learning new things including in the trading field. I only buy coins when my friends says so, I never questioned them, maybe because I trusted them. When I tried to make decisions all by myself and picked some new alts, I lost it, and therefore stopped. All that I have bought was failures, I did not put much attention and therefore come to the point I quit.
This is really happening, mostly the new ones who are interested are the ones often being victim of this, they do not know how to trade but they do trade with them lacking in skills and knowledge of trading.
867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Symbol For The Satoshi on: August 09, 2019, 06:46:48 AM
No. 4 satoshi symbol is great in style and meaning so therefore it should be suited to the coin. I bet there would be a day that the bitcoin developer team would pick a logo, a time that when 1 satoshi is worth a dollar, so they should be ready in all times.
868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: August 09, 2019, 04:53:17 AM
It is been ages, since from the  beginning of a new era, and I bet from medieval period there are already gamblers, and yet I haven't encountered gambling as a profession, like what other profession needs, a college degree. Why is it there are no such things, courses and subjects for gambling where the student must know all sorts of gambling and be an intern in the casino. I know there are courses in some cybers sport already, and cyber sports are only just showcased recently.
869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 08, 2019, 02:58:25 PM
The best thing for you right now is you did not lose it all, you still have your life, somewhere out there-a man like you lose his entire savings either kill someone or kill themselves. Be thankful, this moment of your life teaches you how to be strong, fight it if you are a man, everything happens for a reason, I can't blame you for not holding your bitcoins and instead gamble it, you had your reasons. I believe we lose only if we are dead, and was a failure before that, not trying to stand up and doing nothing at all.
870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need anonymity? on: August 08, 2019, 12:47:10 PM
Let me tell you a story about our neighbor, she was working on a beauty salon with a salary enough to feed her family. She had another source of income, selling viands to her customers (home made). She go to the wet market every 3 am to collect the ingredients and one morning there were two guys who robbed her, she was nearly killed but it was a miracle for her to be alive. The robbers stabbed her and stoned her enough for her one eye to gouge. She was dragged to the seashore, but the culprits did not knew that she as still alive at that time, Did you know what was the amount of money that was robbed that nearly cost her life? 30 dollars and an old phone that she was using. Imagine if someone knew you had some kind of money that robbers may take interest on them, what would they do to leave no evidence? Kill you of course, and that is the reality. So in some ways we need anonymity, and at some point we need it in a good way.
871  Economy / Economics / Re: Australian Tax Office allows you to claim for lost (incl. stolen) private keys on: August 07, 2019, 01:04:42 PM
https://www.ato.gov.au/general/gen/tax-treatment-of-crypto-currencies-in-australia---specifically-bitcoin/?anchor=Transactingwithcryptocurrency#Lossortheftofcryptocurrency

Thought this was interesting: if you can prove loss of a private key, you can claim a capital loss on your tax return.

A capital loss is not quite the same as a tax deduction, but it does mean that you can use that loss to offset other capital gains.

Proving a complete loss of your private keys could be an interesting exercise, particularly if the situation is not a slam dunk (like a HD crash with no backup.)

What if they only wanted to know that you were pioneering investors in Bitcoin =, the time when it was just bucks and then forgot your key. Now they want to know if it is real and then get your information, then crack your password base on what you give them, now if they manage to do so then it is a win win situation, they got your btc and all of that is left for you is a percentage of its tax, so clever government.
872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 06, 2019, 11:32:25 PM
I am short tempered and whenever I lost big I bet all the remaining money, I don't know why but maybe when we are angry or somehow frustrated we make decisions that after the game only we have realized. Well that was in the past, now if I win a little I stop and think twice if continuing is still benefiting me. I think old habits of mine are gone because of some tips like this around, and I learned to set goals.
873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Only a Crime Tool on: August 06, 2019, 08:21:52 AM
It is a hot topic as of now, but later on after sometimes passed it would be forgotten again, so people would still go back to where it is. Bitcoin or fiat, both can be used as a criminal tool, so why the hell brought up the issue of Bitcoin being  worst than any other types of currencies. That is how the media works, giving the information as if Bitcoin is never a good help in the financial business, but hey, there are also people that believes in it and it's capabilities so again why the hell bother bringing this up.
874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson vs Fury 2: The Rematch on: August 05, 2019, 11:53:21 PM
I imagine he'll get at least another warmup fight in between, hopefully with somebody noteworthy like Pulev, and then he'll dance around Deontay once again.

Deontay wont allow him to dance around as he found the whole in Fury defence and almost KO him in the end of the match. I think Deontay will make conclusions of that and end match before 12 rounds ends.

I will not bet on neither sides, but I guess i would pick wilder for the win if it ever happens, maybe he is going for a solid knock-out this time or else fury will get most of the points and never again to be judge a draw like the first fight. 12 rounds of the past is an experience for each fighter and can be used can be used as an advantage to get the win, I do believe in heavy punchers and if this time it goes in, maybe fury won't be able to stand again in another fight.
875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason for the current BTC bull run on: August 05, 2019, 02:42:12 PM
According to my humble opinion, there are 3 reasons that lead to the current Bitcoin Bull Run:

1/ US Stock market: the US stock market has experienced strong growth over the past few years and may now be at the peak and unpredictable, the complicated trade war between US and China is confusing many investors, investors are even more uncertain about the long-term stability of stocks, so they are thinking about the other profitable investment tool, which is crypto and in the short term - Bitcoin, bitcoin is now widely known, it also has a US stock market derivative tool, bitcoin's inflation percentage also falls cyclical and more importantly its expected interest rate for a long time is quite attractive for adventurous investors, those factors will create interests for America investors in investing BTC.

2/  Miners: we all know that Bitcoin halving is very near (less than 1 year) and roughly 17 mil bitcoins have been mined. This made the demand of BTC increased. One other reason is some big mining company is preparing for US IPO (i.e. Canaan Creative), so they need to keep the BTC price high, then they can sell more mining device

3/ The need of USDT from Chinese: Since China government is issuing strict capital control measure and also weaken their currency. Therefore, USDT is a very good way for Chinese investors to escape this situation. This added more power for this BTC run.

Some of the big players in the institutional capitalization are taking steps to study on how to make profits in crypto currencies. That reason is enough also to push a little price hike, imagine if most of the big investors coming from different known companies made statements that they are starting to like Bitcoin and other currencies. It is like a magnet, they are suck in the game.
876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone ensure,is it true news for Bitcoin? on: August 05, 2019, 06:31:20 AM
Self-proclaimed bitcoin inventor Craig Wright issued another ominous warning to crypto scammers: Your con game is over, and your bitcoin can be seized.

To know about more please click the link,

https://www.ccn.com/opinion/bitcoin-ponzi-scheme-craig-wright/2019/08/02/amp/

If it really happens then it will be good for all which are related with crypto currency.

This man probably has mental disorder and he is well known pathological liar.
Even his own mother confirmed that.
How can anyone trust him after all he said?!

Please check out this link:
https://craigwright.online/

No doubt indeed a true liar of the century, even his own mother despise him for being a liar. He is administrating his own blood and bringing them to humiliation, he  should just have stopped his mouth and never talked too much. All his actions and words will bring demise to him, it will basck fire liek a double edge sword, and I guess it won't make him come back saying stupid things again ever.
877  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Mga dahilan ng mga deleted posts sa forum on: August 05, 2019, 12:01:20 AM
878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to do Double spend on: August 04, 2019, 06:06:37 AM
I like how you say, "educational purposes"

Why not search it in Google and use the researches that are there in your results? I think it's easy to do that but I hope you share what you are planning to do or put out the "educational purpose" you are talking about. Lol.

Maybe he can't understand it just by reading, sometimes people needs live demo to understand it very well, including me, as he  said  he needs a live demo  above. This guy is taking up our time.
879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should we do ? on: August 03, 2019, 11:46:12 PM
So we all know how Indian government is banning cryptocurrencies soon.

https://www.livemint.com/news/india/banning-cryptocurrency-in-india-not-a-solution-nasscom-1564476081539.html

Now nasscom is adding fuel to the war along with the Reserve bank of India suggesting that they didn't have anything to do with it makes worth a point
*They themselves think this is overboard and doesn't want to actually associate with it*

Earlier this week it was criticised by people all around the world also at the same time the committee was submitting the records rejecting any good involvement.

Nasscom is actually the Indian IT sector more like a non profit organization.

Earlier today there were websites suggesting how you should sell your coins so that you don't get jailed for long-term.

So , should you sell or hold onto bitcoins .?

All I know is if we all held onto our bitcoins , they won't be able to send each and every one of us to jail .. the supporters are actually a lot more than you could imagine.

I am holding onto my coins , what are you gonna do ?

If I were those guys at India who have bitcoins and are afraid of being jailed, I would just keep it a secrete and hold their coins unless the ban is lifted  if ever that may happen. No one would know that they have Bitcoin, it is anonymous and they could just withdraw it outside the country if they wanted too, a country that is legalizing Bitcoin and trading for it.
880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is better Government run Lottery or private run Lottery on: August 03, 2019, 09:45:25 PM
Both are treated well as they are all legit games unless there is something wrong in the registration. Lottery is a big gambling games and of huge prizes which it eventually drive people to try.
TBH, I'll been doing lottery games and surprisingly I won the least amount and I'm already happy with that and to prove that thete is no manipulation inside. It is government lottery games.
I would still prefer to have government lottery games than the private one because the funds that have been collected from lottery are intended for a good purpose and that is to give assistance to the people whenever calamity comes. The suspension has been over already and the operation has already started again.

It is funny though since there are a lot of people bashing the President about that.

I never thought that this would be a big thing since I thought people would not care whether the government holds it or not. To be honest a lot of people are so addicted in putting their own numbers into lotteries in the Philippines. Lines and lines of people are still paying for their lottery tickets despite the fact that the possibility of them winning is so low. I think the President has the right decision to end the suspension, the government better holds it than private companies, that will have a higher chance of being robbed.

The thing is they should have just probably kept their money, almost everyday after work they pile up in the lottery booths to get their numbers. The chances of winning is slim an yet they still do it. I really believe that the current president is concerned on his fellow men and that is why he is stopping it, the lottery companies don't feel the guiltiness, all they want is dirty money, even though it is coming mostly from the poor. The people are blind by those winning pots, and don't even think about the fairness at all.
