861  Other / Meta / Re: The Reason why you chose your username on: January 19, 2023, 04:19:46 AM
If I'm not wrong I saw a thread like this here about 2 years ago maybe. Smiley Where a lot of users shared their reason for choosing their username.
Is this the thread?

There are other threads as well and its interesting AF to see how other member came up with their username. Probably its best to eat some popcorn while reading this  Grin

Bakit sa Baguio City? Bakit hindi na lang sa Metro Manila kung saan maraming nag rereside na Artist? Kasi diba commonly nangyayari yung mga ganyang meetup along Metro Manila like the recent event called Graphika Manila. Would be interested sana kahit SM Megamall, BGC yung event basta along metro.

Plus tinignan ko si Luis Buenaventura II and YGG facebook page pero parang hindi naman nila actively pino-promote yunh event? Just weird.

864  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is bitcoin mining risk for begiiners? on: January 19, 2023, 03:16:12 AM
Instead of expecting a large return for an overpriced product, I'll probably use it as a decorative design for my battlestation desktop setup.

I'm not sure how trustworthy the website I found is, but it claims that an ASIC S17 chip costs as little as $20 and an 8GB Raspberry Pi 4 B costs $80. But yes, I believe it is best for hobbyists who enjoy tinkering and experimentation. Just be aware that, for the most part, the device can be very unreliable as you'll gain an extremely small reward in the long run.

Now if you are newbie, learning how to mine using this would only scratch the surface, you'll still need to learn how to choose your mining rigs, knowing the electricity consumption, hash rate, mining difficulty, and the mining pool -- which all of them are pretty extensive process.
865  Local / Pilipinas / Re: ang LELE GOLD ay official ng shutdown on: January 17, 2023, 07:00:03 AM
Meron pa isang katulad niyan tapos claim nila na sister company daw. KeppoFarm yung name tapos another pyramiding scheme din na most likely mag pe-fail in the long run.

Araw na lang bibilangin bago mag release yung SEC ng advisory about diyan.

866  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin balik 20k$ na ulet. Bear? on: January 15, 2023, 10:11:19 AM
Usually it takes years bago magbullrun ulet, is it a good time to reinvest? or wait sa masmababang presyo?
I'm in for long term kaya DCA pa rin hangga't maari. Besides may mga nilabas akong bitcoin these past few months so kailangan kong i-recoup yung mga nagastos last year. At the end of the day feel ko nasa iyo pa rin naman yung decision depende sa trading style mo. I am more like a position trader so yung daily movement is the least of my concern.

Plus, ganito yung market ngayon  Cheesy

867  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: January 15, 2023, 08:09:25 AM
Yo guys! Can someone try downloading the Mavis Hub 2.0 from their official website tapos try niyong i-load yung Axie Infinity Homeland?

Thank you po!
868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very first Bitcoin Logo? on: January 14, 2023, 12:16:38 PM
In addition from the previous post, after satoshi published the big B logo which is an update from the first iteration of the BC design and the incorporation of thai baht currency having 2 vertical strokes in it, a member by the name of bitboy published a new design[1] that is much more modern and minimalist in which he referenced the big B logo created by Satoshi, which also remains the design we use today.

Same thoughts with other members. To give you an overview which casino require KYC or not, then here is a list.

Just take note of what other players advise you to do for your own benefit, as failing to do so could get you in serious trouble with the casino's owner if it turns out that you provided false information when you were not supposed to.
870  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NYC schools block ChatGPT, fearing negative impact on learning on: January 14, 2023, 04:08:44 AM
Humans are inherently addicted to the things that makes life easier, hence having A.I being outlawed in multitudes of sectors whether it in schooling or in the sphere of technology is pointless.

Any anti-AI campaigns you may have seen on social media are therefore lost cause. In fact, they even leverage these kinds of news where AI is being banned as free advertisement which makes their technology a lot smarter.
871  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] How to Use Quote to clipboard on: January 14, 2023, 03:39:33 AM
There are other methods as discussed in this thread[1] though, but using the BPIP extension is the simplest to use among others. The other method involves the modification of the URL and the use of epochconverter[2]  which is time consuming.

872  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May Cold Key Card holder ba dito? Redeem nyo na ang card nyo! on: January 13, 2023, 03:25:02 PM
Looking at the thread

Curious lang ako! Bakit hindi nila ni redeem in the first place yung laman ng collectibles kung ang habol is yung physical artwork design/coldkey collection? Tumataas ba value nung physical collectible in the long run as long as may laman?

Enlighten me mga eyeballs.
873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In addition to Bitcoin (BTC) and Satoshi (Sat) I like to propose Nakamoto (Nak) on: January 13, 2023, 02:22:24 PM
You'd have to submit a proposal letter to the bitcoin's manager  Tongue

Kidding aside, I think you are in the minority here. I mean given how many bitcoin units there is, only 2 or 3 of them is being used on a daily basis. Not to mention that there are still many elderly people who have newly entered the bitcoin space hardly grasp how decimals are divided across many bitcoin units.
874  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcon in CB on: January 13, 2023, 11:44:17 AM
They have been around for about a decade now, so I think they are pretty reliable. Then again, who cares? As long as you don't keep your bitcoin in Coinbase and transfer it to any mainstream hardware wallet -- you're fine.

No matter how large the exchange, as long as you limit your exposure to these risks (e.g., account freezing, bankruptcy, unable to have full control) by keeping your coins off of exchange as much as possible  -- you're good.

876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm planning on hosting a BTC seminar and a friend also followed my path on: January 13, 2023, 10:49:52 AM
Agreed to @franky1.

I can speak from experience as both an artist and the administrator of our local art group when I say that organizing a full-fledged seminar is quite taxing as you have to consider the venue, find keynote speakers, the entrance fee as well as the bonding of the group itself.

The same is true when hosting a technical presentation on a topic like bitcoin. A base group of people who are genuinely interested in the technology, who get along well with one another, and who have the same goals is necessary for any seminar. You may easily find individuals who are incredibly knowledgeable about bitcoin, whether in the technical or financial aspect, after the group has grown to such a size through informal meetups where they can communicate with each other to grow as bitcoiners.

Additionally, you can estimate how much the event will be in demand.
877  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [INDEX] Informative threads in our local section on: January 13, 2023, 02:50:52 AM
I know this topic has not been posted in for a longer period of time, pero I think goods pa rin naman na i-up especially for people na bago lang din sa forum.

I also have spare time to spend these coming days. So if you see something useful, don't hesitate to reply.
878  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Negative Perception sa PH Crypto Start-up project on: January 12, 2023, 04:29:22 PM
Wait di lang naman sa pinas yan! Meron din yan sa ibang bansa for sure.

Perhaps, if we zoom out, there are foreigners out there who despise their own skin for having tainted perception about crypto start-up projects. Isa pa, pera yan, which is one of the primary reason kung bakit may crimes/scam na nagaganap.

Sa tingin ko nga good thing pa yan eh, kasi yung thought na "basta pinoy rugpull" means that we're getting smart with investing our own money. Which also means, sayang lang effort ng mga pinoy wannabe crypto start-ups.
879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: January 12, 2023, 01:08:19 PM
Maybe in between? I liquidated 25% of my holdings because I had to get the money for my final year of college. This covers my tuition, a laptop, and a desktop computer needed to complete the majority of the coursework.

The rest remain on hold. And I still hope to reimburse all of these previous expenses by freelancing and some part time employment. Hoping to get back on track within this year.
