Also, if you read thru the posts here after the 2nd link above, you'll see you're not the only one who came across this.  A few others have stated they were getting stales and didn't realize it until they came here.  They lowered their intensity, and the stales decreased.

I'm using a bunch of 280x at I=13 with an overall stale/reject rate of 0.74%.  Averaging about 720kh/s per card, some higher, some lower depending on brand.

M

Well, I can lower my intensity to 19 and get a hash rate that is about 13kh/s less.  I'll test it and see if the improvement in rejects is worth it.  Thanks for the info.  I may just have to live with the rejects if this doesn't work out.

As stated many times in this thread:  The stale rates will be higher on ScryptGuild because I don't care how ugly your reject rates are, I care how much profit is in a coin.  The pool applies penalties of 5-25% on coins with low difficulties in order to compensate for the expected stale rates when mining those coins.  If that coin is more profitable after the penalty, your stale rate will be higher but you will make more money in the end.  The pool is *over compensating* for expected stale rates on the average miner configuration [high intensity].

No plans on adding any kind of SHA256 switching to BTC Guild.  Within a week there would be no SHA256 coin worth mining but Bitcoin.  The only reason SHA256 profit switching/multipools are able to work right now is they're too small to have any noticeable impact on the altcoin market.  If you've been paying attention to Scrypt coins, you'll notice that the profitability of switching pools has been decreasing as the multipools are becoming a larger and larger share of the overall scrypt hash rate.

To go off topic, has anyone else received payouts of 0.00000001 BTC from 1Enjoy1 or 1SochiWw? I've had 1 payout from each this month and am wondering what the issue could be. Both transactions are not in the blockchain and the transaction from 1Enjoy1 has disappeared from my wallet. These transactions were sent to over 500+ wallets from what I can sort out. Is this an attempted hack on wallets?

Thanks for the time.

It's somebody trying to spam the blockchain.  They've been doing it for a few months, but as far as I'm aware few (none?) of them have ever managed to actually get confirmed.

newb question...anyway to reset all your stats including what i have earned ?

No, earnings are always an 'all time' figure.  If you want to "reset" what you've earned, pay out your full balance (manual payout), which will put your unpaid balance to 0.00000000.
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AUTO SWITCH] ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta - Multipool Done Right on: March 13, 2014, 05:54:43 AM
There's a pool speed chart on the 'Workers Charts' page (will be moved later when more pool stats graphs are done) that shows our speed on each coin and overall pool speed.  Each point of data is the 24-hour average.  Looks much better than it did yesterday/last night when it was showing the speed on each coin per shift (very erratic/hard to read).

FTC/NVC/TAG were disabled last night because the current backend isn't able to solve PoW+PoS chains since they use a non-standard proof of work coinbase.  Working on a fix eventually.  I'm likely going to remove FTC/NVC/TAG entirely this weekend (replace them with different coins) until I can add in an alternate work builder for PoW+PoS coins.

I got some info I have to follow up on that a couple of private farms just brought large multi petihash farms online in the last couple weeks. If I get this verified I will post about it.

The "Unknown" category has grown at Blockchain.info's Hashrate Distribution report. I know it's not entirely accurate, but the Unknown category has either benefitted enormously from a bout of luck or it has expanded greatly.

KNC moved it's private farm (2-3+ PH/s now I believe) off Eligius and went solo mining in the last week or two (hard to remember, Bitcoin time doesn't feel like real time).  So that added a big chunk to 'Unknown'.

You can see all the coins we potentially auto-mine on the Convert to BTC page, where it has the settings for your reserves of each coin if you wish to hang onto some.

like DOGE ?

DOGE and LTC are the two I assume will get the most use out of the "Reserve" feature which lets you hang onto coins instead of just converting them to BTC.  It's just one way users can use ScryptGuild to mine the most profitable coins while also doing their own gambling on which altcoin will rise/fall.

hmmm.. ok that looks right what u said .. so why the change ?? before i could see all the coins we potentially mine whether i had some those coins or not ?? now i only see the coins i have mined and not converted ??

Small update to worker speed charts:  The markers for each data point are no longer visible (they obstruct the charts pretty bad when you have lots of data), except when hovering over, it will show the market for your nearest datapoint.

You can also zoom in to a certain time frame.
870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AUTO SWITCH] ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta - Multipool Done Right on: March 11, 2014, 11:53:47 PM
I thought Bitcoin had vanished from my dashboard, then I saw it is now being sorted alphabetically with the altcoins.  Since much of the point is to exchange for Bitcoins, and we are not actually mining these, I think it was better as it was, pinned at the top.

Edit: and now it's back at the top!

It was always sorted alphabetically, but we didn't have a coin starting with 'A' until today.  I did change it so Bitcoin is now hardcoded to start at the top.

Anoncoin auto exchange and auto payouts will take a little time to work.  Anoncoin appears to use the same mature time (120 blocks?) as Bitcoin.  ScryptGuild credits your account as soon as a block has 6 confirmations, but it can't actually *send* any of these coins for a while.

Hi,

This may be a silly question but i cannot find the answer in the FAQ,

Is my username the name of my workers? or is the password the name of my workers?

Is this the correct format stratum+tcp://stratum.scryptguild.com:3333 -u registered username-p registered username_worker name

Thanks.

Put the worker name (default worker is just your username) as the username.  Put anything you want as the password.

Any chance Auroracoin will be added?  It's a very cool concept and actually makes premining sound legit, lol.

In no way is a 50% premine legit, but aside from that the difficulty was just too obscenely high to bother with for an altcoin with no history.

Sorry about that outage (1 minute or so).  A misconfiguration on one of the coins (bad RPC port) made the pool crash when adding the new coins.  All fixed now.  So today we've added:  Tagcoin, Feathercoin, Novacoin, and Anoncoin.  Auto exchange may occasionally stall on these coins for the first day or so while the system balances the coins between local storage (for auto payout) and the exchanges (for auto convert).
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AUTO SWITCH] ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta - Multipool Done Right on: March 11, 2014, 08:48:46 PM
Some updates have been made to how the pool penalizes the profit rating of coins without much BTC trade volume.  Now that we have auto conversion, more coins to move between, and more hash rate, the penalty was re-evaluated and made less harsh, since the pool looks at market depth fairly deep when determining the price already.  It was essentially double-penalizing low volume coins.

Hopefully the changes today, plus the new coins being added, will smooth out the variance a little (less time falling back to LTC's 4.7k diff).
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AUTO SWITCH] ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta - Multipool Done Right on: March 11, 2014, 08:17:01 PM
There were two  very brief (couple ms) restarts in the last hour in order to get Tagcoin, our first PoS+PoW hybrid coin working properly.  PoS+PoW coins use slightly different notation for block rewards (10^6 satoshi = 1 coin instead of 10^8), which was causing the profit rating system to get very confused.

Feathercoin, Novacoin, and Anoncoin should all be added in the next few hours.  There will only be one restart to add all 3 additional coins.

Suggestion,

On the dashboard, can't you have a column with the percentage of rejected shares? Makes it more easy to compare different miner settings.

Oh and what should I have on the setting: no-submit-stale?

Look at your "Worker Summary" at the end of the "dashboard" page - Rejected Shares

Yes, there I have the actual value, I want a column with the percentage as well besides the value.

Any insight if I should submit a stale share or not?

Leave no-submit-stale on it's default value (false).  Your miner doesn't know the difference between a new block and a coin switch, and ScryptGuild can actually still solve a block for the previous coin if your work isn't stale on that coin.
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AUTO SWITCH] ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta - Multipool Done Right on: March 11, 2014, 05:15:43 PM
Some updates have been done to the automatic refill for exchanges to keep the local coin reserves a bit higher.  A few altcoins have had periods where automatic payouts weren't paying because the pool didn't have enough coins stored locally (but had more than enough on the exchange to convert).

Some additional coins will be added later this evening (blockchains synchronizing right now for 3 of them).

It looks like most multipools have been under 0.006 BTC per MH/s in the last 24 hours.  I know ScryptGuild's earnings tanked yesterday, though it was more luck based (we've been falling back to LTC for a lot of shares but have not been lucky iwth block solves).  Hopefully adding some new coins will keep us from falling back to LTC too frequently, though the pool is still growing at a steady pace which will help smooth out the luck on LTC more quickly.

There is also an active dev group doing some stuff with it, making browser plugins for .bit domains, etc.

(Sorry if this was too OT)

NMC is part of BTC Guild, so not off topic at all.

In other words, your payment was sent, it hasn't CONFIRMED yet.  Which I can't do shit about.  The pool uses the standard satoshi client (bitcoind/bitcoin-qt) fees if they are required for the payment to be executed.

How do you get a wallet to confirm on SG?
I added the addresses and I hit the unconfirmed button next to it after a save and nothing happens.  Am I missing a step somewhere?

4 hours and still no btc deposit from scryptguild.....for 1.3% exchange fee

Did you actually set a BTC wallet, CONFIRM IT, and set your payout threshold?  Payouts go out hourly.  There have been no holdups on payouts, meaning you clearly haven't done one of those things.

An email is sent out with a confirmation link.
