12 hours mining and my balance stilll 0.0. pps 19 000
how to see number of generated blocks?
datacoind listtransactions (if on linux)
|
|
|
add to it gen=1
Not work, "generate" : false I place datacoin.conf to program directory and \Application Data\Datacoin Manual need. Don't think that setgenerate true can help in config. Try gen=1 server=1 rpcuser=user rpcpassword=pass genproclimit=-1 rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 daemon=1

Hi everyone!
I'm facing some trouble to synchronize the wallet on windows. I've created the datacoin.conf file and putting it in the right place. I even have taken the list of nodes from cryptocointalk. I also add some manually. But nada...
In the debug file, it seems that qt is in a loop with peer=5.9.247.87:4777 and doesn't want to use other node.
Could you please help me?
Thanks!
I'll be near my home computer soon, so I'll post fresh nodes there. And yes, just now you can do following. Go to datacoin site, get block explorer URL, ping it and get its ip. Then add it as first node.

How to make datacoin.conf for autostart generation? (set generare true)
add to it gen=1

many ppl said solo is better than this pool~~ No stats in this pool, some ppl report that they don't get anything from it

Oh , i mean proof of stake, like in peercoin We need to ask oocook5u . I'm not sure that it is possible to add PoS to existing blockchain mechanism.

Probably someone asked about adding proof-of-work ? Right now there is a chineese private pool and a high risk of botnets in future due to cpu mining, so 51% attack is real.
There is Chinese private pool, also Rpool - not private, possibly ypool\beeeer will add support (but we should remind them about Datacoin as much as possible) and what POW do you mean?

|
|
BTER is also Chinese exchange if I remember correctly...
|
|
|
Is there any non Chinese exchange accepting DTC?
Still no - Cryptsy is busy with updates, and maybe it is not good idea to push DTC to many exchanges. Both buy\sell volume is low now, and if it is distributed to many exchanges, it will be impossible to trade amounts bigger than 100 DTC

Very obvious, but easy to implement feature : We need a nodelist with static ip's and 99% online nodes built in client (datacoin.conf file or other way). Most of new users cant sync, and nodelists are often outdated. Good, also to be done. BTW: at least one static node is at 50.112.43.170 , it's block explorer node

maybe the blockchain could hold encrypted bitcoin wallet.dat files. some online service could use that data, so users would have their wallets available like online wallets.

I also offered that idea, but in another thread anyway, coins sent

Maybe splitting the coin to three tiers could be useful. Tier1: Electrum-like lightweight clients (Win, Lin, oSX, Android) only for uploading and downloading stored files. Tier2: storage nodes, for storing the blockchain and get paid for the storage space therefore providing the distributed storage space (bit like Qubic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=112676.0) Tier3: miners, for transaction processing. ...if you like this idea: D5f9nsvC4qhMcXpAMxcfYDCyLcSyidWg4f Good idea, though it's not new, but can be very comfortable for splitting development in nearest future. Coins sent!

There is 870K generated coins right now, and trading volume on both exchanges is (roughly) near 15K what is near only 2% ! People are not dumping their coins that they have mined at that low prices, that's good! Hopefully demand for Datacoin will grow soon.

BTW DTC is 0.00043 at bter, only 1.2 BTC needed to reach 0.0005 !
