902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the world ready to embrace physical bitcoin? on: July 02, 2022, 11:27:23 PM
Up until now, the physical bitcoin is indeed more on collectible items category rather than being used as regular currency.
Because the components are expensive itself as compared to regular coin.
And because transactions are all online. Would be hard to know the tx id if you will use actual bitcoin coin.
So don't know how a physical btc coin will participate in the crypto market if in case it will find its way to trading market.

This is mostly true, however, when you say the txid would be hard to know, that is [mostly] wrong - for example, all Casascius coins have the first bits of the public key showing, additionally there are tracing sites that track the fulllist.txt of coins out there - This means you can look up the physical bitcoin on the blockchain using walletexplorer.com.

There are plenty of demand for physical Bitcoin loaded items, just look here for a bit...

903  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] trez0r.io (phishing website)!!! on: July 02, 2022, 05:37:14 PM
Some big companies attempt to buy all types of these weird wrongly-spelled domain names, just so this type of bullshit won't happen. Too bad Trezor can't get a handle on that.  Roll Eyes

Edit - Malwarebytes is already blocking it from me. 👍
904  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO]-Crypto Stamps- Collectable Blockchain postage stamps on: July 02, 2022, 03:27:59 AM
I have several cs1, cs2, cs3 , cs3.1 that I could sell, if someone is interested they can write to me.

Just curious as I have a bunch of these as well, but any idea the latest sale price is for the Cs1.0's? I have way too many of them!  Tongue

I had some on ebay but they recently yanked them due to policy ofc. Roll Eyes

906  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are we going to recover or continue to dump? on: July 01, 2022, 01:29:38 AM
What if the market will still keep dropping? Will you be stressed?  Grin
Be patient, mate.
The market is still in the bearish era, so this will not pump nearby. The bearish era steems still need more times to continue. maybe other drops will be here again.
We have been experiencing this and learning much from the previous bearish era in 2018. Hopefully, not many people will be stressful and panic sell. For, panic sell will only make the market condition worse because they panic to sell the coins although they are lost, moroever if they are suggested that crypto will be dead and other FUD.

I think we are going to 8K again, but I could be wrong. 12 or 14 maybe... All the markets are falling daily, so until world things settle out a bit more, I only see pullback or sideways trading.

You're only stressed if you don't believe in BTC or you don't have time or $ to wait .... again... Grin
907  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM EXCHANGE: Openchange (Openchange.cash) on: July 01, 2022, 01:27:20 AM
yeah that's certainly one thing I've learned, is never put any money into anything with a TOS without reading it first completely for sure.

I can see chipmixer addresses being flagged as well by the terms of that TOS, I bet they just googled your sending address and went uh, nope.... So I'm not really too surprised I guess... Sorry for the loss OP. Tongue
908  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed for 25$ on: June 30, 2022, 02:00:42 PM
I dont see any negative feedback of the turst page of the user except my own negative feedback!

useless forum with no rules!
Just expanding Scams!
Change the name of this forum to scammerstalkto.org! It will be more suitable!

I will not trust anyone from this piece of shet forum anymore!

That's fine, but you aren't doing something right, because I see it... Tongue

I wouldn't trust this forum either, I can't tell you how many times I've been scammed here, but that's how you learn, the hard way.

Do you understand exactly how forum marketplace work? This is not a e-commerce place which you have security over what you are buying and selling here. You should do your own research and protect your own money. This forum is decentralized which means the administrator is not liable to all your trade. You choose to pay the guy without doing research so deal with it. The only thing we can do as DT is tag him but I’m currently having problem to verify your proof image since I can’t open it.

I will use this thread as reference in for my feedback.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I'm not going to tag anyone over 25 bucks myself, I have a rate limit of 50 USD myself... /jk... Grin

Okay So I lost 25$ and you feel sorry for that! Whats the BTCTalk forum policy regarding to the scammer user?>

The forum is NOT moderated for scammers. That's what the trust system is for ...

If you look here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=870606 , you will see he has done this in the past. Always check a user's trust rating before dealing with them Roll Eyes

910  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed for 25$ on: June 30, 2022, 01:35:13 PM
You should just buy the damn thing - I mean you already lost 25 bucks, what the hell... I think you can probably do a month-to-month subscription if you want... Not sure why people think they are gonna get "cheap" keys here safely - There must be plenty of websites out there that sell keys without issues on the cheap... I don't think you are gonna get many people to feel sorry for you here, unfortunately.... Roll Eyes
911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why can't bitcoin be based on something that has value? on: June 30, 2022, 12:05:44 AM
AND you picked out about 7 words out of an entire paragraph taking it completely out of context, but no need to worry.

here's another thing I realized about gold vs bitcoin maybe you have something to say about this: gold doesn't require any further maintenance costs after it has been mined and refined and put into a nice shiny gold block. bitcoin does. bitcoin requires an entire infrastructure behind it in to be in constant operation in order for it to be used. so in that sense, every bitcoin has an ongoing cost to the network whereas gold doesn't. gold is more environmentally friendly than bitcoin once it has been mined.

Bitcoins sitting in a dormant wallet do not require anything but the blockchain continuing, which at this point, is pretty much never going to stop in our lifetimes, even if we wanted it to fail.

You should have said "Every MINED bitcoin has an ongoing cost to the network" instead I guess, but not really the point:

Gold, sure ... It's gold, from the ground, with not a fixed supply, unlike BTC. It also WEIGHS a LOT, it requires safe storage, is difficult to transfer across borders, and is just a pain in the ass overall - So, I'd rather have all my $ in Bitcoin than in Gold personally. Smiley

To each their own, amirite? Roll Eyes
912  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [PRICE CHECK] 2017 Polymerbit ETH "Bitcoin Error" Note on: June 29, 2022, 02:05:47 AM
I wouldn't load it myself. No clue how no hologram would or if it would even affect grading, as I have a LOT of notes with no holograms...

Another example, kinda off-topic but not really I guess...

Anybody seen these before and if so, which one is the rare one? Grin

 Cheesy

913  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [PRICE CHECK] 2017 Polymerbit ETH "Bitcoin Error" Note on: June 28, 2022, 12:17:12 AM
Ive seen them sell for upwards of $200 in BTC

Hope that helps.

thanks!

Thanks! Interesting, didn't know that! I still have to wonder how many are out there and how many are test vs regular etc ... So many polymerbit notes, so little time... Cheesy

If anyone is looking for any of these, just let me know, but of course abiky has first dibs! Grin
914  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Have you heard about Intelfin Global? Experience? on: June 27, 2022, 10:44:46 PM

915  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [PRICE CHECK] 2017 Polymerbit ETH "Bitcoin Error" Note on: June 27, 2022, 06:01:42 PM
Yeah I have 2 of these,
- Sample/Polymer Test - A01 000000
- Regular (non-test) - A01 000049

The other 4 I have are all marked with the "fixed" Ethereum strip (2 Test, 2 regular (serials 58 & 74).

That said, I have no idea how many exist either, so thanks for asking! Cheesy

Cheers!

917  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: June 26, 2022, 01:41:58 PM
Hi @Tryninja

I've been and still is an ardent user of your Bitcointalk Telegram Notification bot for as long as I discovered it here, I've never tried any other (and I don't intend to ) so I honestly do not know what features others have that yours/this doesn't.

But in a discussion about being able to monitor some board sections of this forum for notification of new topics, I discovered this is not possible with the Bot,.

I saw we can track Topics individually

And we can also track topics, comments by phrase

But there is no way to track boards for new topics, take for example, someone trying to keep tabs on the Services section of the forum so as to get notification when a new signature campaign is announced or listed on that board.
I actually know its not possible to track boards because i tried but the Bot returned an "invalid URL" message.

I don't know if I missed something though, but incase I didn't,
Then what do you think sir ?
Cus I personal think this would be a nice feature to add to the Bot.

Just use the watchlist feature of the forum for that - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=watchlist

Then add the ID number of the local board you want - IMO, this feature is not needed for the bot, it would cause soooo many notifications IMO, and I don't think TryNinja necessarily wants that, but IDK... Huh

Example:
918  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: INDOEX.IO Exchange is SCAM money lost on: June 26, 2022, 01:37:24 PM
Contacted them through Telegram. They finally replied. They say my withdrawal is frozen because of a BOT

Quote
We discovered your account withdrawal is currently facing a BOT Transaction activation delay due to some error and bug inflation detected on your account, that is the main reason why your withdrawal is not successful and may lead to lost of funds if we don’t removed them or frozen for relatively long time....
I have to send 0.5 eth to an address to release the withdrawal.

Quote
The BOT in charge of your account transaction processing requires the adding of 0.5Eth into the BOT rectifying contract address generated from our database linked with your account here in our database system now for the approval processing of your account To be completed within 10 minutes..

Note: The requirement of 0.5Eth Will be refundable back into your account automatically after the authentication process have been successfully completed on your account for you to proceed into your account seeing all your funds..

If you say something about a scam they tell you to chose your words wisely. 😳

Sounds like just yet another way to just get you send more money... Dangle that carrot in front of you etc etc...  Fuck that shit mate, run away... Roll Eyes
919  Economy / Collectibles / Re: WTB 10 BTC Casascius on: June 26, 2022, 01:37:19 AM
I saw another thread talking about PCGS. PCGS Paris have said if we get them to them, they would do the export / re-import to get them graded with their US counterparts. However, they say 3-4 months turnaround!

Personally, I'd do this Most coin grading companies let you put your put your own value on the forms for insurance reasons, but I'm not familiar with PCGS yet! Wink

Yes, the turnaround sucks, but damn, those kinds of coins deserve a slab IMO, plus with PCGS you'll have more options with REAL auction places nowadays & in the future, like Stacks & bowers etc Cheesy

lower the starting price to 0.04 btc

If you start at face like I usually do, I'd probably participate.. Makes it more fun and will let the market decide...  Cool
