901  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger altcoins on: October 09, 2017, 04:33:09 PM
Im curious on how you add apps to the nano s?

Are these just apps listed on their website/servers or are their other apps not listed on ledger website that can be added?

You need to use "ledger manager" app to install more apps to your device (also to update the firmware).
902  Other / Meta / Re: search for pre-ann on: October 09, 2017, 04:25:42 PM
Pesonaly I never use direct forum search (trying to minimize the server load)

My way is to use google to search through forum.

In your case just put in google:
Quote
[pre-ann] site:bitcointalk.org
In addition you can also specify the timeframe e.g. last week or month
903  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why positive trust is important? on: October 09, 2017, 04:19:35 PM
•How do we earn this trust how to get one?

Trust you get from other members when you deserve it.
Ask yourself what others should have to do so you will be trusting them.

•Is this important to get a trust? mine is Zero.

No it's not unless you are going to start a business here.
More important is not to get the red trust.
904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold Electrum support on: October 09, 2017, 04:05:21 PM
Hey guys! Will Electrum wallet support Bitcoin GOLD? If so how it works? If not, where should I locate my funds to receive Bitcoin GOLD and keep them safe? Thanks for any help.

Don't worry. There is no need to move your BTC. Keep them in electrum.
BTCG will be credited to address holding the BTCs and if electrum won't support BTCG it then you can always sweep/import the address to any other wallet which do.

EDIT: I made a quick guide how to claim your BTG: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2347158
905  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoincash still handing out? on: October 08, 2017, 07:00:08 PM
Guys, tell me please, bitcoincash still handing out? I registered a new account on bitrex. I sent the bitcoins to the new account and bitcoincash appeared.

What?  Am I understand correctly that you sent bitcoins to bitcoin cash address? (those are two different coins but using same address format so we are able to send one to other address).

In short everyone who was holding bitcoins on 1st Aug has been credited with the equal amount BCH (same will happen with bitcoin gold in a few weeks).
The only way to get BCH now is buying or minig.

907  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: October 08, 2017, 09:48:19 AM
Howdo i invest? Is through ico or there are platform specifically design for this.

Betking.io is the only one I know of that did an ICO (there is another that has put its ICO on hold but it looks a little bit scammy to me). All the others I know of, you sign up an account at the site and just make a deposit and invest after checking out the reputation and terms and conditions of course.

Bitdice did ICO as well. Moneypot also tried but failed (not enough funds raised). Betsreak going to ICO it mid Oct. Bustadice ICO is running right now.

Howdo i invest? Is through ico or there are platform specifically design for this.

No platform need ... it's really easy.
You just deposit BTC (like you want to play) and go to invest tab, define the kelly (leverage) you want to use and how much to invest.

908  Economy / Reputation / Re: ! NEW USERS BEWARE "Reputable" forum members deceiving, stealing and harassment. on: October 08, 2017, 06:55:13 AM
bump to help new users from losing their money!!!!!

What a useful bump 1.5 hour after last post. You're ridiculous ( this entire post is ) and you deserve the red trust.
If you are not able to understand basic principles how deals are made on this forum ( show proof, accept escrow ...) you should better get out of here.
909  Other / Meta / Re: Does it mean thread deleted? on: October 08, 2017, 04:23:08 AM
Some thread says error like "The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you."
It means i cant access due to newbie or something?

It means the topic was deleted or moved to trashcan (where only moderators can access it).
910  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Scam or legit on: October 07, 2017, 08:45:25 AM
I am pretty new to bitcoin and have basically been using faucet sites to get started.
I know faucets are slow and labourious but at least they are giving me an insite into how bitcoin works
Cloud mining is something that i am seeing advertised a lot.
People will say it is a scam
Some people will say it is not a scam I know that

I would just like everyones opinion on it if that is ok

So is cloud mining a scam yes or no

Reasons why appreciated

Many Thanks

No it's not scam. It's pretty clear bussines model that works but was misused multipletimes to scam people.

I think it was around 2015 when a big boom in cloudmining started and so many doubtful cloudmining services appeared  (most of them was just ponzi schemes). Lot of people fell in and got robbed. Thus marked all cloudminings as scam.
This would never happen if people would investigate a bit more.

Two big red flags are: affiliate system and free hashes to start. Once you these two it's 99.9% scam.
Secondly you should investigate whether the company is actually mining. Anybody can claim he is mining but unless proves it you cant trust him.

Hasnest, BW and bixin (those are the only cloudmining I trust) are really mining BTC ( you can check it using any chain explorer).
Moreover hashnest and BW are ASIC manufacturers (which makes me sure there is no scam attempt at all).
911  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which One Is The Best Bitcoin Mining Site? on: October 07, 2017, 08:24:09 AM
I say stay away from genesis mining. Your only chance to profit with them is to get a lot of referrals.
The only real mining companies are hashnest, BW, and bixin (stdhash.com). Though I have to tell you there is not much profits just from the mining itself (actually ROI is disputable).

Bixin and hashnest offers reatime hashrate exchange ... you need to constantly buy sell hashes to make profit (mining rewards are just small bonus).
912  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 50 Cent - Get Rich or Die Trading - The Ultimate Beginners Guide on: October 05, 2017, 07:33:21 AM
so I started watching your guides but as a complete noob I have a really hard time understanding what you are doing.
Can you make a tutorial and explain what everything you can see on bitfinex actually means and does? Also how can I customize my bitfinex to look like yours?
Also the first video is really... exhausting to watch. I think that really was a little too much weed that evening Cheesy

Anyway thank you for your tutorials, they seem very helpful and good once you understood the basics. But without the basics it's really confusing. The most detailed tutorial I've seen.

also: could you upload the excel file anywhere?

edit: you also might want to reconsider uploading videos where you use an unactivated software. PM me if you need assistance with this.

hey glad you're finding it useful. here's a 15 minute video of my setup on bitfinex, explaning what does what in a basic manner.

i hope it can help:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjvJiwW7Bms&t=35s

It kind of helped.
But I'm still puzzled what indicators you added to your chart window.

my window looks like this.

Have you read the OP? It's all there ... he's using EMAs, RSI and MACD.

916  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: September 30, 2017, 09:29:13 AM
Where is this thread you talk about?

If you check a couple of pages on this thread you would have got that thread.

Anyway, I'm posting again here for your reference - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1585408.0

Remember one thing that all those past performances only for your reference because there is no gaurenty that in future also you will get same profits. Because in gambling any casino investments anything can happen so you get even better profits or some losses also.

But still in the end house will always win because of the house edge that support them. This is why exactly they always get in profit so I can say by investing on gambling site will always profitable, just invest it in a good timing then you will always profit. And depends on your bankroll too of course which can give you variances of profit from small until big amount

How do you know it is a good time or not?

No one can tell you that accurately so you just need to pick a couple of good casinos and start investing in it if you think these high-risk investments are okay with you. No way you can find out whether now it is a good time or not in these investments. But remember never invest all your money in any single casino bankrolls.

I disagree. A good time to invest is after some huge bankroll dump. As there is a big chance the winner keeps playing (eventually loosing all he won).
On the other hand there is also chance he's going to keep winning and withdraw his funds ... so nothing is 100% sure. In addition some casinos like crypto-games charges divest fee for short time investors ( to avoid such speculators ).
917  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do I still own BCC? on: September 29, 2017, 06:03:16 PM
I created a new receiving address and entered that, but it doesn't show anything.

Then no bcc on that address.

You need to enter the one which was holding BTC during the fork time.
918  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do I still own BCC? on: September 29, 2017, 05:59:42 PM
Thanks for that. What would I enter in to the search?

Your address (the one which should be holding bcc )  ... this is to just check if you have them.

919  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do I still own BCC? on: September 29, 2017, 03:44:11 PM
Hi,

I had a Bitcoin wallet (I use Bitcoin core) before the fork, let's say 0.5. A couple of week ago, I sold my 0.5 back to Coinbase.

Do I still own BCC? I've just opened my wallet in Bitcoin ABC but it's not showing any BCC.

Sorry if this is a dumb question Smiley

Yes, you do. Check balance using eg: https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin%20cash/

I heard that some people are able to count cards at casino, I don't know how exactly it is done but it involves a lot of probability and permutation, that takes a lot of calculation and i don't know if the human mind is able to do all those in a short number of time.

What do you mean by counting cards? I can do that also.  Grin But there are some people on casino especially banker are already memorize how to shuffle and distribute cards in their own advantage, Sometimes they keep cards on their sleeves. Can you you please elaborate what kind of counting cards trick this was?
Cheesy Everybody can count cards. But this is more about remembering what cards have been already played ( giving you chances to guess which cards will be played next).
Although card counting is sort of skill it's treated as cheating.

There is lot of counting strategies. For details see e.g. http://www.gamblingonline.com/blackjack/strategy/card-counting/
